Really excellent food, excellent service, excellent cocktails, and great value for money. Highly recommended; the food is truly something different and absolutely delicious. The only downside: they don't serve tap water. A little water with a good wine is never a bad thing, though. Change that, and it'll be 6/5 stars 😊

There were five of us eating here today, and we were all very satisfied. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, and the portions were more than generous – absolutely nothing to complain about. The prices were perfectly reasonable, and the staff was incredibly friendly, especially the two waiters who took such good care of us. One minor drawback was the cold inside, but it was also very cold outside. On the plus side, they immediately brought us blankets, so we could still sit comfortably. Overall, a very enjoyable evening with good food and great service – we'll definitely be back.

The food and service are really good. Unfortunately, it was very cold in the restaurant this evening. The owner was aware of this. Because of the cold, I can only give it 3 stars. It's simply not comfortable when you're freezing.

We're visiting Hamburg and spontaneously booked a table for the New Year's Eve menu. A four-course meal with an amuse-bouche to start. Everything was perfect: the service, the delicious food, and the ambiance. We'll definitely be back on our next trip.

We went to dinner with the family today and were extremely satisfied. My partner and I are vegan, and after consulting with the very attentive and friendly staff, we received a custom-made vegan mezze (which was excellent). The others at the table ordered the duck and artichokes and repeatedly commented on how delicious it was. If we were from Hamburg, we would definitely come more often :) Keep it up! 👍🏻 Simply top-notch :)

We held our Christmas party there for the second time. With 14 people, we had 30 different appetizers as a starter. (Some were served twice, which we were very happy about, as many wanted to try everything.) Afterwards, we ate à la carte. And whether it was the sea bass, the lamb fillet, the corn-fed chicken, the vegetarian eggplant ratatouille, or the shrimp, everything was presented in a minimalist, modern style, and the side dishes were served separately. For dessert, we had the "waiter's dessert." It was an explosion of flavor for everyone, and the service was fantastic. Thank you so much!

The variety and quality you get for your money is more than valuable it is amazing. I recommend ordering the tapas maybe as a starter and then go for a main. Very delicious

The food was truly delicious, an extraordinary taste experience; we were so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Our only complaint was the unreasonably high price of €8-9 per glass of wine. Nevertheless, a visit is highly recommended; you can always order something else to drink... ;-)

We had a truly lovely evening, as the service was super attentive and the atmosphere very pleasant. The staff deserves high praise for their friendliness and professionalism! Unfortunately, the food fell somewhat short of our expectations. It was solid, but at this price range, we would have expected a bit more refinement and flavor. Nevertheless, for a pleasant evening, it's worth considering thanks to the great service and ambiance.

This restaurant is an absolute insider tip. The food and selection are overwhelming, you don't know where to start. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering advice on the menu, and are always available. The ambiance is truly wonderful. We'll definitely be back.

I was very pleased with the quality of my meal, although I must admit that one should not have been very hungry, considering the portion size, and a little more side dish would have been good, which is probably more common with the matzos. I was very satisfied with the taste.

The waiter was unfriendly and clearly not in the mood to work. I ordered 'Mazza' and had the impression that it wasn't very fresh.

We were there in the afternoon. The lunch menu is very well-structured, making it easy to choose, and we were surprised by the quite substantial meal. An absolute recommendation, especially for late afternoon, and well above the standard of a snack bar.

Of course, it's cheaper than the evening menu, and the restaurant isn't as crowded or noisy.

Return visit on July 14, 2023 - still truly PERFECT, as already described below... Exquisite food, a true explosion of flavor, at reasonable prices. Great, attentive staff! Perfect, always happy to return - including on Osterstraße, by the way... Been there for the umpteenth time now, still first-class, great food, and service that couldn't be better! "Our" waiter, his name is Lavante (no idea if that's spelled correctly...), is a real ace! See you next time, guaranteed, Mr. Marouk!! 😉

That's not a very nice attitude. Based on previous reviews, we went to this restaurant specifically. Unfortunately, it was in vain.

Perfect service, perfect plates. What else can I say about that? Just look at all the pictures and imagine that it tastes even better than it looks! I also like to stop by for lunch, but in the evening they even go one step further. You can easily bring relatives and business visitors here, and the place is also perfect for a candlelight dinner. Absolute impudence!! I had a voucher and wanted to order something to pick up, but I was refused because the voucher was apparently no longer valid. Nowhere was there an expiry date or anything like that noted! I was treated very unkindly because I probably didn't fit in with the chic style of the other guests! It's a shame about the finished food, which was already packaged.

I had reserved a table for 9 people in Ottensen. It took quite a while until we were served. Apparently not enough service staff were provided for lunch. And interestingly, small tables were served much quicker. The food was good but nothing special. Some of us took the lunch menu. The 3 matzahs ​​were served differently and were enjoyed. The fish of the day with lobster sauce was OK. The amount of fish was too small for me. The amount of potatoes, on the other hand, is a lot. I didn't taste lobster. We were particularly annoyed about the dessert and especially about the reaction of the restaurant manager. We got some ice cream and a tiny piece of cake. This was so dry that we complained about it. The restaurant manager now rather cheekily claimed that the cake was just right. Well, thank you very much, I don't have to eat here again. It's one thing if a mistake happens, it's another thing to try to deceive the guests. This cake was way too dry, period. Unfortunately we are disappointed.

The service was absolutely courteous, extremely friendly and approachable at any time, as there were many service staff in the restaurant. The choice of food is varied, including fish. The map is not overloaded, which is an absolutely positive aspect for me. There is a separate page with vegetarian dishes, but matzah can also be chosen with only vegetarian dishes. I eat vegetarian and was thrilled. All dishes were explained when served. Four of us ate and we were all absolutely thrilled with the use of the fine and sometimes very different flavors. Not too spicy, otherwise it was pointed out during an appetizer. Really everything, including the dessert, tasted wonderful and was attractively presented. Great selection of cocktails, also non-alcoholic. The accompanying wine is delicious. All in all, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!

Reservation is advisable We were lucky to be out early. Otherwise there would have been a problem with a table for two. The tables are very close together. As a greeting from the house, a lentil soup was served. Delicious. From the evening menu we chose the corn-fed poularde with very spicy potato wedges and the Muscovy duck breast with cinnamon rice. Beises was beautifully served on plates and in small serving bowls. The puladen dish was delicious, the duck breast with sesame crust was unfortunately very dry and hard, the figs were not ripe, the rice was very tasty. There is a large selection of open wines (0.2l on average EUR 9). The service is friendly and attentive.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! We had the most incredible food, and the staff gave us amazing suggestions. We had the mixed mezze stater, I had the bass fillet and my partner had the surf and turf. My partner speaks German (I sadly do not) and our lovely waiter was speaking both in German and English so I wasn’t excluded from the conversation. I had the yummiest Lebanese wine (see pics below) and we were given 2 extra bits of food as gifts from the kitchen. 10/10 you have to go !!

The food was average. Unfortunately, it was underseasoned and not really warm. The quality of the food was good. On the way to the restroom, you could catch a glimpse of the kitchen... given how tidy and clean it was, I'd rather not... The staff was great, very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was too loud, and transparent COVID-19 screens were used as a privacy measure. A somewhat odd solution.

What a brilliant little find. Food was delicious with little touches along the way like little appetisers that aren't on the menu. Service was brilliant, team really engaged and delivering a great service. Menu is small but everything super tasty, we enjoyed the mezze plate followed by a couple of dishes off the specials board and a another main. Portions are a huge, you will not leave disappointed. The outside to a Brit seems a bit tacky potentially but don't let this deceive you, really lovely little spot. €120 bill for 2 courses water a 1 glass of wine for 3 people. Brilliant value for money.

We chose the L'Orient menu and were really impressed and very happy with the food. A really impressive selection of oriental starters, tasted great. The intermediate course with the tiger prawns was also perfectly on point. The main course was a new culinary discovery for us. The meat is very tender and tasty. A fine selection of sweet dishes rounded off the evening. Very, very friendly and courteous staff. Great ambience. Definitely a recommendation, especially if you're open to new tastes.

Went to L’Orient again this evening and were completely thrilled. We had the rack of lamb, the lamb salmon and the cod and it tasted incomparably good. My sister did better, I had worse choice of dishes. In my case, lamb is mainly bones, very little meat. The dessert, ice cream and wine are delicious. Service ok. It was nice, but once is enough.
