Eating lunch once every summer at Svaadish has become a tradition, for the reasons already listed in my previous reviews. Again, the focus here is on high-quality food and top service, both in a cosy, elegant place. And I have learnt one can also hold parties/events at the restaurant, as well as have them to cater for a party or event. Maybe curry and lassi are better than Kartoffelsalat and Apfelschorle for a change...

Auf der Suche nach internationaler Küche sind wir auf das SVAAdish gestoßen und wurden vom gesamten Team fantastisch versorgt! Allein schon die freundlichen und flotten aber keinesfalls aufdringliche Bedienungen. Gut beraten haben wir uns die Vorspeisen geteilt und anschließend die Hauptgerichte geschlemmt. Sehr sauberes und gut eingerichtetes Lokal und auch die Toiletten waren sehr sauber. Wir kommen unbedingt wieder…

Wir waren hier zu einem feierlichen Anlass zu zweit. Der frittierte Blumenkohl wurde uns nicht umsonst von vielen empfohlen. Die Hähnchengerichte sowie Reis und Gemüse und Curry waren perfekt gegart bzw gedünstet. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I was there with family and friends from different nationalities and we all loved the food, service and vibe in the restaurant very much. Taste of food is very authentic.

A BIG NO....!!!! Horrible Experience. On the religious day of Ramnavmi, my friends and I chose to dine at SVAAdish Hoheluft in Hamburg, Germany. As strict pure vegetarians, we ordered paneer and dal, expecting a delicious meal. To our horror, we were served chicken. After my initial bite, I realized the food was not vegetarian and had to confirm this with the staff. They admitted their mistake, but this casual apology does not change the fact that they completely disregarded our dietary requirements, violating our religious beliefs. This carelessness is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for customers. I urge anyone with strict dietary needs to avoid Swadish in order to prevent a similar upsetting experience.

The service was very quick! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. I'd recommend this place for sure!

Delicious food and great service.

Today I was here by chance with my 13 year old son, who doesn't really like Indian food. It was quite a surprise, the food was great, he even liked the Indian burger, I had a very traditional Indian dish, everything was perfect 🌸☺️ generous portions, super tasty and fresh, the rice was absolutely aromatic and tasty, well prepared , really fair prices through the lunch menu. I will definitely come back sometime. Operation and service were also top!

Not at all recommended for family! The staff were very unfriendly. We went with our three kids. My youngest kid is 6 months old. As soon as we entered with the Kinderwagen they asked to move the Kinderwagen at the entrance as it disturbed the ambiance. Secondly, they couldn’t handle little noise of the kids. They told us to keep it down as it disturbed the ambinace of the restaurant. Thirdly, have you ever eaten a chicken biryani with veg rice! You are in for a treat. All curries are made similar with just a different topping. People who have never eaten Indian food, can enjoy this but if you are a native, there is no chance you will like it. Not recommended at all for families! Please avoid from getting embarrassed.

No respect for families and kids as they cant bear little noise of kids. Families shall avoid this restaurant. Food quality was also pathetic. Not real desi food. Highly unrecommended.

Pretty good Indian place, unfortunately there are many dishes that taste sweet due to added sugar. However, this is a usual topic with Indian food.

Last week we went there with a reservation and a lot of expectations because of the really good reviews. Even though we went with a reservation, we were said that we have 1.5 hours before our table will be alloted to someone else. That was still ok because this place is always crowded. The food was really average in my opinion. We ordered gobi Manchurian (not flavourful, doughy and was difficult to finish), chicken Tikka (was okay) and paneer butter masala (too much heavy cream). The waiter was nice and friendly. I was not expecting real Indian taste because I'm aware all Indian restaurants here are very much customized for local customers. Still, I have had better Indian food in Hamburg. The ambience was not great for us because we were given a table very close to kitchen and was super hot and sweating even though it was 4°C outside. Overall, was disappointed and don't understand the high ratings!

Delicious lunch with huge portions :)

The store was well booked. Reserve in advance! The restaurant is easy to find on the main street in Eppendorf. The menu is extensive, if you like Indian, Svaadish is a good choice. The ambience was really nice. We were also very satisfied with the service! Thanks

It's a cool spot with good service and a nice atmosphere. But the curries were not the most flavourful, or enjoyable as I've had elsewhere. Slightly disappointed.

Whenever I'm hungry for well-spiced Indian dishes, SVAAdish is my first stop. If desired, the level of spiciness can be adjusted. Also very nice atmosphere and friendly, courteous staff.

The food is ultimately delicious with fresh ingredients and diversity of flavours. The menu is not too big but you can find something for everyone. One of my favourites is Lammhaxe. Also the service is just super fast. We are in right now and it's Saturday night. There are about 100 customers in the restaurant - our dishes arrived instantly! Friendly, professional, top quality place. We come regularly and recommend it with confidence.

Great restaurant with a large selection of Indian dishes - also many vegetarian and vegan choices! 💚 The portion sizes were perfect and everyone was very happy with their dishes! The service was unbeatable, we were regularly asked if we needed anything else and if we liked it. 🫶🏼 We sat in a nice, somewhat separate corner and found the atmosphere to be very cozy. ☺️

The food is absolutely delicious, unfortunately there are variations in the spiciness. Unfortunately, the huge negative point is that they don't offer tap water, very annoying! The water we ordered comes in a carafe, so I think it's tap water, but they charge a lot for it...

I came to Hamburg from India and I was saying at Dorint Hotel. I came here everyday for dinner with almost 10 colleagues (I work for NXP). Everyone liked the food. It's delicious. You'll get same taste what you get in India. Average rate per person is between 20 to 25 Euro if you don't drink alcohol. They also serve drinks. For Indians, please say them that you need Water without gas, else they'll serve you sparkling water. Some cost saving examples: 1. Buy a chola bhatura. Enjoy it and with remaining chola, order 2 more bhatura only. They serve enough quantity of vegetables. And don't miss to eat pickle. It tastes better than India. 2. With every vegetable they give complementary rice. So no need to order rice separately. Example: order yellow dal tadka and 4 rotis. It will be fine for 2 people as the quantity is good. We tried almost every food item including dal, paneer, dal makhni, malai kofta, chole bhature. All were awesome. On weekends, it's little crowded so don't forget to make a reservation before arrival.

It took over an hour to get your food from when you ordered. People asked where it was three times and were constantly put off. Other groups came in later and had their food after 20 minutes. That was the worst service I've had in a long time... The food was delicious and well seasoned, but the bread was skimpy and had to be reordered. The equipment is geared towards masses and it looks like an oriental cafeteria. For the price (service) performance ratio, not a recommendation, there are better taste stamps for a few pennies.

Indian restaurant with a modern atmosphere. The Jal Frezi Curry from the recommendation menu was very tasty. Also the cauliflower as a starter, with good Garlic Nann. Service very quick and attentive. There is also a bar with a variety of cocktails to choose from. An alternative to the classic Indian restaurants, even if I missed the little bowls in the middle.

Es war sehr lecker, absolute Empfehlung!

Visited for brunch on a Saturday. The masala tea was perfect and reminded us of home. The Palak chaat was delicious while the veg Manchurian was slightly on the sour side though the accompanying fried rice tasted amazing. Overall, the price, quality and quantity ratio is great. Our new go-to place for home like Indian food.

Ich war dort und habe das Mittagsmenü mit verschiedenen Hähnchen Curries gegessen. Es war sehr lecker, aber ich und meine Freundin, die das gleiche gegessen hat, haben beide die ganze Nacht die Bauchschmerzen und Krämpfe unseres Lebens gehabt! Den Rest kann man sich denken… Wir haben die ganze Nacht und den ganzen Morgen auf der Toilette verbracht. Danke für das leckere Essen und die echt uncoole Überraschung danach. Sry, aber ich komme nie wieder, wirklich schade, weil es ehrlich sehr lecker war :(

Wir waren nun das zweite Mal bei SVAAdish und das Essen war mal wieder einfach nur lecker. Für mich bisher das beste indische Restaurant in Hamburg.

Sehr leckeres Restaurant, ich empfehle einen Tisch zu reservieren. Die vegetarischen Optionen waren sehr gut. Den Preis finde ich für den Service etwas hoch, bin sonst aber sehr zufrieden 😊

Das war mehr als ein Reinfall!! Ambiente und Service sind gut aber das Essen absolut enttäuschend!! Ich bin sehr gut mit der indischen Küche vertraut und war in mehr als 40 Ländern indisch essen. Hier habe ich deutlich mehr erwartet!! Das Butter chicken schmeckte überhaupt nicht und das seekh kebab war knochen Trocken!! Nicht mal das Alsterwasser war im richtigen Mischverhältnis. Und das alles hat ums über 70 Euro gekostet. Ich hatte an dem Tag Geburtstag und bin echt sehr enttäuscht bach Hause gefahren. Sehr Schade! Ich denke, wir kommen nicht wieder.

Leckeres Essen, tolle Drinks und zuvorkommender, freundlicher Service, was will man mehr. Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Svaadish und es wird bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein! Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und da die Karte sehr viel Auswahl bietet, müssen die anderen Gerichte bei den nächsten Besuchen probiert werden! Und es wird bestimmt auch wieder einen Golden Coffee dazu geben, der Drink ist eine Wucht.

Sehr lecker. Wir hatten die Lammhaxe und die vegane Option von den beliebten Gerichten - war beides wirklich top. Auch die limo war sehr gut, nicht zu süß 👌 Portionsgrößen fand ich auch in Ordnung - kann man wirklich empfehlen.

Bin Stammgast und fast jede Woche da, jetzt wird’s mal Zeit zu erwähnen, dass es einfach köstlich ist und das musste jetzt einfach mal bei Google mitgeteilt werden Jetzt mal ein aktueller Nachtrag: also ganz ehrlich, ich weiß, dass alles teurer wird. Aber das ist schon ein echt großer Schluck aus der Pulle den ihr da gemacht habt, ich ziehe meine Konsequenzen und gehe einfach mal weniger zu euch und kürze das Trinkgeld. Nächster Punkt: 45 Minuten warten während in der Zeit 20 Wolt und Lieferando Bestellungen bearbeitet werden, ist nicht fair für die Leute, die zu euch kommen.

Do not expect to get Indian food here, they do not use spices at all, the food is flavorless. Also, the restaurant attempted to remove my review instead of addressing my concerns. The establishment's response to criticism was disappointing.
