Very tasty Indian food. There were four of us and we were able to try a lot. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The service was also very friendly.

The staff was super friendly and the food was a real taste experience. We didn't have to wait long and were completely satisfied. We will come back!

The atmosphere on the terrace was pleasantly relaxed, perfect for enjoying the fresh air while enjoying the excellent food. From the start the team gave us a warm welcome and the service was truly exceptional. The service was attentive, friendly and responded to all of our requests without seeming intrusive. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail and the commitment of the employees, who are really passionate about what they do. The food itself was simply delicious. The flavors and quality of the ingredients were outstanding and we were impressed by the presentation of the food. We tried the menu once and were thrilled with every dish. Overall, an absolutely recommendable restaurant – we will definitely be back!

It was a really wonderful and very successful evening! It was my birthday and I wanted to celebrate with my closest friends! I haven't had such great service in a long time! No matter what, there was someone there to help! The food was to die for, we decided to get several dishes to share and it was so delicious! From now on, again and again and more often! 👍🏻❤️

Fantastic cozy place with delicious butter chicken

Normally I very rarely give 5 stars, but almost everything is right here! The design is pleasantly modern and the color is more beige, gray with wood! Chic! Great for dates, business lunches and anyone else you want to impress! The menu is relatively small, but sophisticated. The appetizers and small vizes are especially great! Be sure to try the cauliflower popcorn! And the garlic naan. The prices are pleasantly normal, glass of wine 8 euros, starters on average 8-10 euros. Everything within the framework. The service is super fast and very attentive. Well managed store. Unfortunately, reservations are recommended. The only drawback was that we had to leave because our table was occupied again. We had been told this beforehand, but it was still kind of stupid.

Located on a side street, the restaurant offers very tasty Indian dishes. The food was very flavorful, very fresh and came in a reasonable time. The menu is clear and not overloaded. The prices are moderate and reasonable. When the weather is good you can sit outside very nicely. What impressed us: the naan bread was forgotten when we ordered - that's not a bad thing and can happen. The restaurant didn't stop at apologizing but also brought a mango lassi. That impressed us very positively

Authentic Indian food! Beautiful new restaurant on the corner of Gertigstrasse and Schinkelstrasse, the second one in the Schanze. Nice outdoor area to sit, lots of space inside too. It's better to make a reservation as the restaurant is always full. Great Indian dishes, and price-performance ratio is right. They also have lunch. Clear recommendation!

The food was very tasty 👌🏻 I just think it's a shame that so many dogs sat next to us, it's unhygienic and dogs that constantly sniff don't belong in the restaurant and it's also too narrow to share space with dogs share, otherwise everything is ok. I love dogs don't get me wrong.

Service was nice, quick and everything was fine. Had butter chicken and another chicken dish but unfortunately it was way too spicy for us personally. I don't know the butter chicken from other Indian restaurants as spicy.

The cooking here is not quite as brilliant as in the Bombay Brasserie in London, but the cuisine at Authentikka is still highly recommended. Finely composed, neatly arranged. Served by extremely friendly staff.

Great modern restaurant with very good cuisine 👌

We were at Authentikka on Gertigstrasse for the second time today for lunch. The restaurant was almost empty, but no one came to the table for 15-20 minutes to inquire about your well-being/drink request. Unfortunately the food was very very greasy, both the naan and the chicken tikka (it felt like it was swimming in oil) Goodwill is zero, more like indifference, it's a shame, there are much better Indians in HH. Was the last visit there.

Authentikka Winterhude - A culinary highlight My spontaneous visit to Authentikka Winterhude was an absolute highlight. The Indian food was not only very tasty, but also authentic and prepared with great attention to detail. The portions were generous and the spices were perfectly balanced. I would particularly like to highlight the extremely nice and attentive staff. Despite the spontaneous visit, the restaurant manager quickly organized a place for us. The service was consistently friendly and efficient. The food was served quickly and every bite felt like you had traveled straight to India. Dessert was also a delight and rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. Overall, my visit to Authentikka Winterhude was a complete success and I can only warmly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent lunch! Very tasty at affordable price. The best Indian food I have eaten again in a long time. If you want to have dinner, it is better to make a reservation as the shop is always very busy. I think the butter chicken is excellent - if you have a problem with the spiciness, you should let us know in advance, because the cooking here is authentically spicy!

In one word: 'authentic' as the name suggests. Can't be better! Fantastic meal. Would have loved to try the whole menu! Extremely friendly service, nice warm but hip atmosphere.

The overall food, ambience and service were good. Not authentic as much, the masala tea had no hint of spices and herbs.

Leaving 4 stars since there's definitely some room for improvement. The service was alright but I felt that the seating space was a tad clustered. To my surprise the chicken biryani had more vegetables (mostly zucchini) than the chicken but the flavour made up for the disbalance. The yellow dal was quite simple and flavourful, hence I'd definitely recommend it.

The food at Authentikka is always delicious and of consistently high quality and sophistication. Additionally, the restaurant is completely styled in a modern, luxurious yet authentically Indian aesthetic. You can sit comfortably both inside and outside, even in the cold seasons thanks to the hot radiators. The super friendly and well-trained staff and the cool bar make the restaurant experience perfect for me. Authentikka has been my absolute favorite restaurant in Hamburg since it opened and has taught me to love Indian cuisine.

Service and ambience at first glance were very good and nice. At second glance, however, the arrangement of the tables is much too close, so that you actually sit next to each other. Food: starter great; Main course Chicken Tikka Masala at most lukewarm. In general, the portions are manageable. The waitress, who had been nice at first, was suddenly speechless at the comment that the food wasn't hot. In summary: From the outside, wow, if you take a closer look, there are many better Indian restaurants in HH.

This Indian restaurant has been around for a few months. Since I come here often, I almost always see a very high occupancy. Spontaneous visits are therefore always difficult. So: If you come here specifically for this, you should definitely make a reservation. Then you can also dine at the numerous and lovingly prepared outdoor places and be entertained by the lively Gertigstrasse... If you don't care about any of that, you can sit down somewhere in the restaurant and treat yourself to fantastic Indian food. On my last visit I had a bottle of Kingfisher as an aperitif. For dinner I ordered a garlic chili naan including the three chutney mix: the bread was hot, freshly baked, soft and very tasty. The chutneys went perfectly with naan and the main course, chili chicken. Several well-cooked pieces of chicken, some with skin, in a dark brown and creamy sauce with lots of onion pieces as a complement. On the restaurant's internal spiciness scale, this dish is on the second of four levels. Since I really like spiciness, I upgraded to the fourth level when I ordered. The chili chicken was exactly how I would like it to be in an Indian restaurant: very, very hot. For me, that always includes mango lassi. This contrasts and softens the sharpness very well. They obviously know about the need for the drink with spicy food and offer a 0.5 liter carafe. I needed two of them myself... That's why I'm saving the chai crème brûlée for next time. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. Since I was sitting quite centrally, five employees looked after me. You can trust this busy swarm of bees. What is not there are typical Indian decorations of a folkloric type. The focus is on a modern, lounge-like atmosphere.

The food was very good and the service was very friendly. We were also warmly welcomed with children and a dog.

When making the reservation, we asked whether vegetarian food without onions and garlic could be cooked for an Indian colleague (religious diet). The answer was no problem, just let the restaurant know and it would be prepared specially. Unfortunately, exactly one dish (and 2 starters) could be offered on site, everything else seems to have already been prepared and is not made fresh. An apology was made, but unfortunately there was no offer for the circumstances. It was quite cool in the shop itself, as the door was constantly open, with the outside temperature being around 15°C. The food we ordered (without the option to choose) was tasty and the atmosphere was appealing. Priced at the top end for what is on offer.

Went to Authentikka Winterhude for the first time today. The restaurant is modernly furnished and it wasn't very full at lunchtime. The food was delicious, but the portions were really small in my opinion compared to other Indian restaurants. The chicken biryani had a layer of white rice on top, but otherwise consisted mainly of very coarsely chopped vegetables, had almost no chicken meat and is therefore not recommended. The butter chicken was very tasty, had a pleasant spiciness and very tender meat. The naan bread also tasted very good. The waiters were really friendly and there was nothing wrong with the service. However, I find it a bit too expensive for the really small portions.

Amazingly delicious food! Super nice staff! And some of the recipe ideas are awesome! Especially those that combine Western and Indian cuisine a little.

Food was fantastic as always at Authetika, so the chef he/she is doing an absolutely outstanding job. However it's the mannerism of the boss/manager/lead that is what upset me and resulted here in a low rating. We were early (6pm) and had no reservation but the place was empty. We were given a table and told we can stay for 1.5hrs as they had reservations later. Fine. We had our meal and after 1hr ordered our final drinks and asked for the bill. When the bill came we paid with the waitress right away and had expected to finish our drinks. However the manager came over and told us people are waiting for the table and pointed to two folks at the bar who needed our table. That was pressure on us already as we wer being pointed out now and stared at by other customers, then when I said we haven't finished our drinks he said "I told you you couldn't have the table for long". We were told 1.5hrs and it had been only 1 hr. I feel insulted. And similar to a rating I gave recently to the other authentica in Schanze, we are again being treated like cattle. Food always good, but the managers' rudeness and thoughtlessness for his customers are what deserves a poor rating.

It used to be quite good but has deteriorated a lot. Straight is not always courteous. Takeaway food is usually cold.

New favorite Indian in Hamburg. I would particularly like to praise the service! So rare to be treated so warmly and kindly by all the employees. At least 3 employees wished us a nice evening, even though some of them didn't serve us. In addition, the service was incredibly fast and gave good advice. Top!! The food was mega. Very authentic and well seasoned. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. Be sure to try the “shots” among the starters. Pure taste explosion! The drinks were also really, really tasty. All in all: super good! We will be back!

We were there spontaneously on Friday evening and got a place for two. However, I would recommend reserving a table. The waitresses were all very friendly and accommodating. The food and wine were also 100% convincing. Therefore the restaurant is a 10/10 for me and highly recommended

Nice atmosphere, the table is already invitingly set with tasteful dishes and, above all, cloth napkins. The taste of the food was very good. The table service was friendly. We didn't find the loaf cake tins particularly suitable as a container for the bread. The portion of yogurt served with the main course only filled a mini bowl about 3 cm in diameter (no more than a tablespoon full). For the extra portion with the same mini quantity, €2.50 was charged on the bill. Extremely petty and a shame to ruin the good impression.

The restaurant itself is very nice, but I cannot confirm the accusation of the arrogant waiters. However, I don't understand the hype AT ALL and don't find it justified in any way. The food is anything but authentic, in my opinion. There were five of us there and not a single dish tasted Indian. There is no shortage of Indian spices. If you close your eyes and try the butter chicken, for example, you really think you're eating a creamy tomato sauce at an Italian restaurant. We won't be coming back and will rather eat authentic Indian food at Maharani, Badshah, Ashoka or SvaaDish again!

Very tasty, creative Indian restaurant with a high focus on delicacies whether for sharing, street food or classic Indian cuisine.

The food was super delicious. If you don't like it that spicy, you should let the very friendly waitress know in advance! Food and service great. Large vegan/vegetarian selection. Ambiance didn't entirely convince us. The tables were very, very close together and unfortunately there was no “Indian flair” at all. Nevertheless, we would recommend the restaurant.

Although we made a week's mistake when reserving the table, we got a nice table for 4 people on Friday evening. What particularly stood out was the excellent service through friendliness, attentiveness and great recommendations for choosing dishes. Our dishes came at the same time, quickly, were well seasoned and really tasty. Overall, we really enjoyed it and had a very nice evening - thank you!

Never again! I had reserved a table for 11 people. We arrived 10 minutes late and were rudely shouted at. “We are in Germany. You have to be on time.” Something like that has never happened to me before. The only reason I didn't go was because it was my birthday and I would never have gotten a new table anywhere else so quickly.

Great Indian restaurant in Winterhude. Menu also offers a wide range of vegan options. Prices are quite high, but the quality is good here. Be sure to order the papadam or one of the naan breads. Also great: there is an option to adapt dishes for allergy sufferers.

Good food ..food was well prepared .. we tried various different dishes .. everything was very tasty .. unfortunately Dal Makani was .. very sweet as a North Indian that's a no go ;-).. Overall top 1 Indian restaurants in Hamburg .

The meals were excellent. Kofta palak and cauliflower were vegan and very well prepared. The same applies to the wholemeal flatbread from the oven. The homemade ginger mint drink was equally delicious. The atmosphere is modern and very cozy. The service was very friendly, but sometimes a bit too fake and intrusive - overall highly recommended!
