A bit more expensive but also super delicious food

This evening was my first visit to this magnificent restaurant and I was captivated from the moment I arrived. As soon as we were shown to our seats, I felt completely at ease. The service was warm and attentive. The food? A solid 12 out of 10! We had three starters and two main courses, and everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The atmosphere is very cozy and you can either sit inside or outside. Service was also perfect. We were looked after very well and felt really comfortable. The food was very delicious. So overall it was a great experience and we will go here again for sure!

The tables are too close together, so you hear a lot of what's going on at the neighboring tables. The portions could be larger for these prices, but I wasn't full.

A truly lovely evening with great food and reasonable prices for the quality. We were greeted very warmly by the manager (I assume), and he immediately made us feel pleased to have us. That's not a given these days. The place was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait. Our waitress was super attentive and sweet. She radiated good cheer despite being very busy. One small suggestion for improvement: our wine glasses weren't refilled. But then everything would have been perfect. The food was incredibly delicious. Absolutely worth the price. I'm looking forward to our next visit 😊

After my experience in India in 2010, I was completely reluctant to ever eat Indian food again. I found it too dirty and disgusting. This restaurant pleasantly surprised me, and I'm giving it 5 stars with a clear conscience... even though the original Indian cuisine is different.

The online reservation is unreliable/doesn't work. I had reserved a table the day before for a certain time and waited until the next day for a confirmation, which the system said would be sent to me. Since it didn't arrive, I called. They told me nothing had arrived and there were no seats available anyway. Pretty rude and uncooperative. They could have handled it more nicely. Then I called Authentikka Mitte, and they had a table available and were very nice. Winterhude is over for me for now.

We were at the restaurant with a group of 15 people. We had a mixed starter and a main course. One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at. Good food, good service. We were all delighted. We'd love to go back!

We have ordered the food via Wolt I would like to give you a true review what I have felt for my order I have ordered dal makhani two garlic naan and butter paneer masala but in butter paneer masala the the quantity of paneer was very less I would like to let you know this because I frequently order from many restaurants across germany and for the price you are charging I felt it’s little over priced and if you cloud change the quantity size then everything was perfect 👌including the taste 👍 all the best .

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with great food. ✨Only two small things bothered me: 1. I ordered lamb that was supposed to be braised so long that it fell apart... almost, but not quite 🤏 2. The acoustics were terrible in the back right corner next to a group of 8 people. Thanks for the great service 🙏

Fabulous experience. The food is simply beyond belief! I can’t wait to come back again and try everything else.

You can definitely tell they put a lot of effort into it. The owner was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant is so crowded that everyone seems a bit stressed, making it difficult to fully enjoy your meal. We had really high expectations based on the good reviews, which unfortunately weren't met. The dishes were okay, but nothing special in terms of taste. We didn't like the naan bread. Conclusion: We really couldn't understand the hype.

We had a wonderful evening with you! But let's start from the beginning: a spontaneous reservation for 6 people on Saturday evening worked out wonderfully, and we had a very comfortable outdoor seating. The service was very attentive, coming to us several times at short intervals to advise us. The food was also ready in a flash. The cauliflower popcorn and okra for starters were very tasty. We also really enjoyed the various curries for the main course, and the portions were great. The spice was very spicy (upon request) 😄 The rice came as a single portion for the whole table. Sharing is always a tricky thing 😄, and I had the feeling there wasn't enough for everyone. But with garlic naan, it wasn't a problem. The mango lassi rounded out the flavor. The quality is reflected in the prices. We'll be back!

Yesterday we went family for dinner, ordered shahi paneer saying medium spicy Jesus Christ they put all chilli in our dish Asking why this was so spicy they responded we can add yogurt to neutralise this. I have been a fan of their other branches however this was our horrible experience. I ain’t coming back. At the end, they added extra paan and pani puri to our bill which was ordered by next couple sitting to us. I expect this to be human error they corrected

We were warmly welcomed by the owner. The food was delicious, and so was the ambiance. However, the service was mediocre to poor; our plates weren't cleared, and the waiter kept making strange comments. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the waiter spoiled it a bit for us. It's a shame, because everything else was really nice.

We love going to Authentikka regularly and also like to show it to friends who visit us in Hamburg. Everyone is thrilled with the food – a real highlight every time!

The food was good, the service could be improved and the atmosphere was not relaxed due to the constant hectic running back and forth of the employees. We sat directly at the table for four, which faced the toilets and kitchen. My chair was jostled several times by the staff that evening because they didn't take the curve far enough.

The welcome was warm, and the service remained attentive and friendly throughout the evening - without being intrusive. What was particularly pleasant was that we were able to sit outside when the weather was nice, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Indian dishes, and all four at the table agreed: the food was outstanding! Every dish was aromatic, well seasoned and tasted to the point. Overall, a thoroughly successful visit – great food, a lovely atmosphere and exceptionally good service. We'll definitely be back!

We spent a wonderful evening there, with delicious food and excellent service. Unfortunately, you sit very close together. But we will definitely come back.

The food was delicious, and they make an effort to preserve the authentic quality and taste of Indian cuisine. Everything, including the service, was excellent. However, my only concern was the payment process. I always leave a tip as a kind gesture (at least 10%), but tipping should be entirely voluntary, not something customers feel pressured into, as is common in American culture. When paying, the waitress handed me the POS machine, which displayed only three tipping options: 10%, 15%, or 20%. This approach indirectly forces customers to tip. Please allow customers the freedom to decide whether or not to tip. Aside from that, everything else was great.

We have eaten at Authentikka several times, this time with seven of us as a family. The staff was courteous, very nice and attentive. We once again felt very comfortable. The selection of food and drinks is plentiful and consistently delicious! In summer you can also sit outside very well.

Incredibly good Indian food. Very authentic, matching the name. The waitresses were extremely attentive and I felt more like I was in a 1 Michelin star restaurant. Very nice and pleasantly furnished. It was a little difficult to see the map in the dimmed light. But there are lights on site that help. The menu didn't promise too much: the lamb was incredibly tender, the naan bread was juicy and fluffy

Authentic Indian cuisine, cozy-chic and very nice staff. Always 10/10 Especially at Indian festivals there are also special cards that are very special. I can also highly recommend the normal evening menu. During the week I went to lunch in the city center again and the experience was also great. The best Indian in town in my opinion.

The Chicken Korma here is truly nothing short of a revelation! Anyone who knows me also knows my obsession with it... 😅 A Famous Jammu is my drink of choice here. All of the other dishes that I've had the chance to try here were also a delight, but in the end I still have my clear favorites and this review is long overdue. Since I don't live in Hamburg, I don't come here nearly as often as I would like. But if HH, then Authentikka in Winterhude. The reason for this is definitely the friendly, extremely careful and nice team. Not to forget the feast for the eyes: the harmonious interior design also contributes to the fact that we always enjoy coming here and feel completely at home.

The food is good if it is well seasoned or spicy. This is how I imagine authentic Indian food :) However, if you are sensitive to it, you should ask to be on the safe side, as the menu does not indicate the level of spiciness. We had biryani and three different curries, which tasted very different and were all really tasty. The homemade (alcohol-free) drinks were also impressive! I found the service to be intrusive, especially until I took my order, and over the course of the evening I was always careful to stick to the two hours I had booked at the table. It's best to know in advance what you want to order ;) We wanted to have a cozy time and unfortunately I have to say that the ambience didn't help. The decor was Instagrammable, but it was so dark that you could barely see any of it. To read the menu we had to hold it under the mini lamp on the table or use the online menu. The fact that we wanted to leave the restaurant after exactly 2 hours was mainly because we were pretty cold. Yes, it's January and it gets cold in the restaurant when the door opens. But it honestly felt like there was no heating to counteract this. I can only recommend wrapping up warmly to eat here.

Let's start with the positive: Service: great! Attentive, quick, friendly with a smile on his face. TOP! 1 with an asterisk I really enjoyed the home-made BASIL, ROSE & CUCUMBER. Negative: I had a dish for €18.20. The rice wasn't quite enough for me and I asked for a second helping. A whopping 4€ for a portion of rice 😳🤣 For a dish for this price, I find the 4€ extra for rice a cheek. We also had CHICKEN TIKKA for €18.70. On the bill we were then charged €22 for Curry Extra. Unfortunately we weren't told this beforehand. We also didn't order anything extra. If the sauce, which had to be ordered separately, hadn't come, there would only be dry chicken and naan. I have to say that all the hidden costs have a negative connotation. We won't be coming back either because the food didn't blow us away for the price. Unfortunately, I can only think of one word to describe the owner: cutthroat.

The food, service and ambience are just right here. For me it is the better choice compared to SVAAdish.

Visited spontaneously in the afternoon. Two guests were still on site. I was rudely assigned a dirty, uncovered table, which was also very cold. When I asked if I could get another table, I was told that the tables still need to be cleared. After the waiter had done this, I asked again if I could sit down there now. The answer I received was unkind and that the tables were now reserved. When my Chicken Tikka Masala was served (on the dirty table) I was very disappointed with the taste and the carelessly prepared plate. I have never had red and green peppers in this meal. I didn't like it at all, it was more like "Grandma's" goulash stew and had nothing to do with the dish I ordered. Except salty, zero taste, no authentic Indian spices, paid €22.20 for it, without a drink. I will never enter this restaurant again.

I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service: Although we couldn't reserve a table online, a spot was easily organized for us after a spontaneous call - that was really great! The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. A small wish would be to have Italian wines on the menu instead of just Spanish ones - but that's really complaining at a high level. All in all, a completely successful experience, we would definitely like to come back!

Normally I very rarely give 5 stars, but almost everything is right here! The design is pleasantly modern and the color is more beige, gray with wood! Chic! Great for dates, business lunches and anyone else you want to impress! The menu is relatively small, but sophisticated. The appetizers and small vizes are especially great! Be sure to try the cauliflower popcorn! And the garlic naan. The prices are pleasantly normal, glass of wine 8 euros, starters on average 8-10 euros. Everything within the framework. The service is super fast and very attentive. Well managed store. Unfortunately, reservations are recommended. The only drawback was that we had to leave because our table was occupied again. We had been told this beforehand, but it was still kind of stupid.

The prices are moderate and reasonable. When the weather is good you can sit outside very nicely. What impressed us: the naan bread was forgotten when we ordered - that's not a bad thing and can happen. The restaurant didn't stop at apologizing but also brought a mango lassi. Authentic Indian food! Beautiful new restaurant on the corner of Gertigstrasse and Schinkelstrasse, the second one in the Schanze. Nice outdoor area to sit, lots of space inside too. It's better to make a reservation as the restaurant is always full. Great Indian dishes, and price-performance ratio is right. They also have lunch. Clear recommendation!

The food was very tasty 👌🏻 I just think it's a shame that so many dogs sat next to us, it's unhygienic and dogs that constantly sniff don't belong in the restaurant and it's also too narrow to share space with dogs share, otherwise everything is ok. I love dogs don't get me wrong.

Service was nice, quick and everything was fine. Had butter chicken and another chicken dish but unfortunately it was way too spicy for us personally. I don't know the butter chicken from other Indian restaurants as spicy.

The cooking here is not quite as brilliant as in the Bombay Brasserie in London, but the cuisine at Authentikka is still highly recommended. Finely composed, neatly arranged. Served by extremely friendly staff.

We were at Authentikka on Gertigstrasse for the second time today for lunch. The restaurant was almost empty, but no one came to the table for 15-20 minutes to inquire about your well-being/drink request. Unfortunately the food was very very greasy, both the naan and the chicken tikka (it felt like it was swimming in oil) Goodwill is zero, more like indifference, it's a shame, there are much better Indians in HH. Was the last visit there.

I would particularly like to highlight the extremely nice and attentive staff. Despite the spontaneous visit, the restaurant manager quickly organized a place for us. The service was consistently friendly and efficient. The food was served quickly and every bite felt like you had traveled straight to India. Dessert was also a delight and rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. Overall, my visit to Authentikka Winterhude was a complete success and I can only warmly recommend this restaurant.
