Ordering online via the website didn't work, delivery via Wolt was only partial, and after several discussions, my complaint was unsuccessful. The question of fault was unclear (or rather, the other party was always at fault), and goodwill was limited. A shame, considering the food was actually good!

We got a table spontaneously and had a very delicious meal. The red wine was also very good. Unfortunately, the photo of the food was only taken after the plates were refilled – so it doesn't look its best. Apologies for that. The food was brought to the table in various containers. The bread isn't pictured, but it deserves special mention.

This is a resraurant par-excellence. Indian food at its best, not only the quality of food but also the service, the menu and touch of fusion, it is like its name Authentic. I make it a point to visit everytime i travel for business, now also taking my family next weekend on our short holiday trip.

Delicious food and a truly fantastic service team. One star deducted because the tables are placed extremely close together. It's almost impossible to get onto the bench without knocking something off the table. And the noise level is correspondingly high. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

We only made it as far as the entrance area; there were no free tables. No matter, there were barely 3-5 molecules of oxygen in the packed, stuffy room, where you practically had to shout to be heard over your neighbor. We'll never eat there again.

It was our first time trying Indian cuisine. The food looked good, but it didn't quite suit our palate. I'd advise any Turks unfamiliar with Indian cuisine to avoid it altogether. We couldn't eat more than two spoonfuls. But I don't want to criticize the food; the problem was that we weren't used to it, and other diners seemed to be enjoying it. The prices were a bit high.

To finish, the Chai Crème Brûlée was a pleasant surprise — creative, aromatic, and creamy with a well-torched top. It’s a 9/10 dessert that could be pushed to perfection with a slightly silkier texture and a bolder masala note. Service was attentive, but a bit too present — constant check-ins felt slightly intrusive during conversation. That said, the staff was friendly and the overall atmosphere calm and inviting. Bathrooms were clean and neatly maintained — always a sign of a well-managed restaurant. Pricing is fair for the Schanze area, especially given the portion sizes and quality. Overall, Authentikka Schanze is a strong contender among Hamburg’s modern Indian spots — thoughtful fusion touches, beautifully plated dishes, and evident respect for authentic flavors, with just a few tweaks away from excellence.

I orders veg Biriyani and I got biriyani with lamb. However the man from kitchen was also not responding that is not fair to treat a customer even it was your fault. So If you are vegetarian then please avoid this restaurant. Thank you in advance.

Certainly the best Indian food I've eaten in Germany and I've never had better Tandoori chicken which has been a go to favourite of mine for 40 years. Succulent meat cooked in a real Tandoor clay oven as it should be and dishes bursting with flavour. The humble side dish of Saag was another highlight and shows that every dish on the menu is made with exactly the same love and attention. Service was very friendly and even though we were sat outside (no reservation) we were well tended to. It was packed on a Wednesday night and that's no surprise with food this good. Please come to Berlin asap!

We came for the brekfast on Sunday which is a special menu. We do recommend reserving in advance. We came at 11 am. We had the aloo paratha, and choley bhature. The aloo paratha felt very authentic and home made. The choley bhature was a bit low on spices for my taste, but was still good.

I was so excited to eat at this restaurant since I hadn't been to an Indian restaurant for a long time since I came back from Japan. It's a small, narrow restaurant. Everything was fine until the bill came. The total amount of what I consumed was fine, but when they swiped my card and gave me the voucher, they added a 10% tip... WITHOUT MY CONSENT, since I find it disrespectful that they DIDN'T ASK ME... I, as a consumer, have the option to decide whether or not to tip, and also the percentage... and not for a waiter to take that power without consulting me... What I hate most about people is their lack of respect. I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT RESTAURANT AGAIN because of the type of waiter they have... 😡

My absolute favorite restaurant in Hamburg! They serve dishes you can't get anywhere else, like the Gol Gappa shots. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality. You can taste almost every spice; it's not a one-size-fits-all or boringly seasoned dish like you sometimes find in other Indian restaurants. The lamb, shrimp, fish, and paneer were always juicy and cooked to perfection. Great, well-structured service, and the manager is also very friendly.

I ate there with my boyfriend yesterday. The food was quite tasty, but nothing exceptional. It was a bit expensive, I thought. When we left about half an hour later, we both got terrible stomach aches and still have stomach problems today. I can't recommend the place! It's a shame we had to go through that!

We ordered to collect and one of the dishes was wrong. I called and let them know and the immediately sent the replacement dish to us. This is what service should be like and of course if all tasted amazing.

Indian delights at their finest Our visit to Authentikka on Schäferkampsallee was a hit. We were immediately captivated by the crispy okra and gunpowder potatoes served with a fruity mango chutney – crispy, spicy, simply perfect. The main courses were equally delicious: Amritsari Choley with its aromatic, spicy, yet delicately balanced sauce, which really brought out the chickpeas and spices, and Gobi Aloo, which required no sauce at all and still tasted great. We would particularly like to highlight the service: friendly, attentive, and with a keen sense for individual preferences (including "no coriander"). Despite the tables being full, everything went smoothly and always with a smile. A restaurant that demonstrates how diverse and sophisticated Indian cuisine can be. We'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!

I stayed in Hamburg for work and my wife had already picked this restaurant for being close to the NH Middle hotel. I am always a little weary about Indian restaurants, as I am not a great fan of spicy foods. I asked an older Indian gentleman was the Butter Chicken spicy to which he replied, it’s Indian food, all Indian food is a little spicy. This made me smile, so I ordered the Butter Chicken, Nan bread with Garlic and a still water. All I can say about the food is, if you visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed. If I visit Hamburg again, I will definitely go to this place again. Enough said!

It quickly became clear why: A good half hour before the end of our two-hour reservation, we were informed about last-minute orders and then asked to leave five minutes later. I've never experienced anything so direct. So: not a recommendation!

Great food options. Hardly 5 mins from nearest U Bahn station, and 15 mins from S sternchanze. Good atmosphere, some sitting space outside with tables of 4s and 2s and two big sections indoors with tables for groups too. Great service, clears tables quickly and makes sure you are comfortable and served well. Decent washrooms Vegetarian and Non Veg options too.. Their Masala Tea is awesome.

Was recommended the place from a shopkeeper close by. It didn’t disappoint and was some of the best Indian food I’ve had. Ate alone on a work trip on the outdoor dining. I really appreciated the food, both the structure of the papadum and the thinness of the naan so you don’t get too full. Couldn’t find a saag or palak with prawns on the menu but the fixed it without problem.

Tried the Authentica branch at Schlump today and had the warmest experience. Met an old uncle who turned out to be the chef’s father-in-law—he proudly called himself a “very proud father.” 😊 We had a lovely chat about how Authentica started, and it felt just as heartwarming as the food. On his recommendation, I went with the Mutton Rogan Josh—and as a true Delhiite, I have to say, it came very close to beating Butter Chicken! Such a wholesome visit. Simply phenomenal – the best Indian food ever! I haven't had Indian food in ages, but this restaurant completely blew us away. I had the Lamb Rogan – and what can I say: super, super tasty! Tender lamb, perfectly seasoned, the flavors are to die for. Really every single dish was a hit. Add to that the fresh naan, the wonderful spices, the relaxed atmosphere... I have rarely eaten such good Indian food. The staff was really friendly and attentive - I just felt completely at home. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Hamburg!

Unfortunately it's no longer the store it once was. It's no longer as cozy as it used to be and the taste of the food has deteriorated a lot. It's actually a shame because it's always been a bit of a secret tip. But unfortunately the homemade drinks have also become worse. All in all, it has become a shop like any other Indian restaurant, except for a few sides that are no longer special. It's a shame actually.

It's been a long time since I've eaten Indian food and I reserved a table here at Authentikka based on a recommendation. The welcome was super friendly and the reserved table was immediately available. For starters we chose Garlic Naan and Cauliflower Popcorn. Absolutely awesome as a starter. We expected the cauliflower to be a little crispier, but it didn't compromise on taste. The marinade of the vegetables is easy. Of course, for the main course I had Chicken Tikka Masala. European spiciness. I also like it Indian spicy. But I didn't ask, it would certainly have been possible. 😊 The woman had the butter chicken and she was also very impressed. She was also very enthusiastic about the dessert, carrot halwa with sorbet. All in all a great evening. Attentive and friendly service. Food was at the table quickly. Two small drawbacks. It is very narrow and sometimes loud. And I personally found the price of the Indian beer Kingfisher too high. But we will definitely come back and I can only recommend it.

One of the best Indian food restaurant in Hamburg. I have been regular visitors since last 4-5 years. You definitely need reservation in advance. Totally recommend the sunday brunch where you get to dosa, idly, etc. which are south Indian and is not available easily in Germany. The quality of food is also very yummy!

Y la mayoría de nosotros estábamos ayunando Esperaba al menos una jarra de agua de cortesía o rellenar el vaso al menos. Como cualquier persona que ayuna sabe, te sientes deshidratado por la noche después de romper el ayuno. ¡No, dijeron que tienes que pedirlo o pagarlo! También cuando llegó mi pollo Biryani, estaba lejos de tener un sabor auténtico Biryani. No fue ni pilau ni biryani. Solo arroz blanco con pollo sin el Massala y sin sabor. Soy de Karachi, la ciudad natal de Biryani, sabía que no sería tan brillante como el verdadero negocio, pero estaba esperando más que esto! Biryani se sirve generalmente con ensalada y Raita en estilo auténtico! Lo siento, decepcionante como presentación del plato era lindo pero una pequeña porción y el sabor, no lo suficientemente bueno.

The food was generally okay, but the chicken dish had no breast meat, and the lamb dish had the meat still on the bone and required a lot of work to eat. Also, the waitresses who brought the food to the table created a hectic and uncomfortable atmosphere. Accordingly, the prices are a bit prohibitive. Thank you anyway!

When we were taken to our seat, we were asked for our order two minutes later. That was a bit too hectic. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Both the starter and the main course had a basic taste of old, rancid fat, which was masked by the spiciness and which remained unpleasant for me the whole evening. The operator wandered from front to back and back again and back and forth and back again the whole time with his arms folded behind his back, watching his friendly staff like an old patriarch. It doesn't seem like a good working atmosphere to me. After less than two hours we were asked to pay.
