What can I say... simply catastrophic.
The meat isn't cooked through, and that's not a minor flaw, but a serious food safety issue. Anyone selling doner kebabs should know how to prepare meat properly – that's clearly not the case here.
We didn't enjoy it very much. We didn't like the wine, and we found the pizza to be below average and tasteless. It barely had any toppings. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was just okay, and the music was too loud. All in all, it was alright, but we wouldn't eat there again.
Great service, great burgers and it's open up until late.
The meat is very juicy and greasy. I tried the fried sweet potatoes and they were delicious.
Now, more specifically, about the burger... it's very good, so for me the fact that they put ketchup on it ruins it. IMO, when the meat is good, there has to be no sauce on it or at most once that is very subtle, and let the person add if they want to (they already give you additional mayo and ketchup). And then, as a personal preference, I think that the cheese on the cheeseburger was not "present" enough, at least in terms of taste.
But I want to clarify that even though it's not "the perfect burger for me", it's already very good imo.
Wow, what a fantastic evening! We had a truly delicious meal; the meat was incredibly tender, the portions were generous, and the Kaiserschmarrn was divine. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive.
The prices are a bit high, but worth every penny.
Thank you so much!
A truly fantastic restaurant.
The food was delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy; you immediately feel at ease. The staff is friendly and attentive; you're treated like a guest in someone's own home.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will gladly return.
Thank you, Marji, for your wonderful kumpir, always prepared with so much love. ❤️ I was a guest for many years and am very sad that the Schlaraffenland in the Akazienkiez is no longer there.
Unfortunately, the Schlaraffenland closed permanently in August, and another restaurant with new owners will soon be opening.
Genuinely the best burguer of the city. There is a lack of quality burguers in Berlin. And when you find them they are obscenely overpriced. I have been going to Monty's for years, since I arrived to the city. And it will always be my go to place. All of my friends love it and it is a banger every time.
