A visit well worth it! Kantinella is located right next to the Charlottenburg District Court on Kantstrasse. Lovely atmosphere. Small menu with Sicilian flair. Weekly specials change. We didn't eat there this time – hence this review without having tried the food. However, what we saw at neighboring tables was convincing... a weekly specials menu... or even dishes/appetizers fresh from the display case.
The restaurant is closed even though my reservation was confirmed...unfortunately, no cancellation was made, and we found ourselves standing in front of a closed door. The service was therefore poor. And annoying.
This place is everything that one can want from a restaurant. Cozy and chic ambience, super friendly and caring staff, delicious food and reasonable prices. Food/price ratio is truly amazing. I visited this place last month, and came back with my parents who also enjoyed it a lot. I’m not sure if I should keep talking about this place or do gatekeeping so that it won’t be overcrowded🙈 Just kidding, they really deserve to have good reputation🤍
Just please don’t increase the prices in the future, so we can keep enjoying good food for reasonable price in Berlin🥲
Abi’s in Berlin-Kreuzberg is more than just a snack bar – it’s like instantly visiting good friends. The local eatery is tiny, but the warm atmosphere makes you want to stay, and the team's genuine hospitality shines through.
The specialty? Paper-thin, freshly baked Gözleme and the tiny, homemade Mantı dumplings. Everything is prepared very fresh and tastes wonderfully authentic, like Turkish home cooking. You absolutely must try the Mantı with yogurt and spicy tomato butter—a true classic!
The real highlight is Abi himself: you're treated like a regular and often invited for a warm Turkish tea. This friendly service truly makes a difference and shows that everything here is made with love.
If you’re looking for fresh and delicious food in the neighborhood and value genuine local hospitality, this spot is a must-visit. A real Kreuzberg hidden gem!

What’s the next restaurant, café, or bar that needs a killer review, whether it's in English or German? Just let me know the details! 🚀
What can I say... simply catastrophic.
The meat isn't cooked through, and that's not a minor flaw, but a serious food safety issue. Anyone selling doner kebabs should know how to prepare meat properly – that's clearly not the case here.
We didn't enjoy it very much. We didn't like the wine, and we found the pizza to be below average and tasteless. It barely had any toppings. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was just okay, and the music was too loud. All in all, it was alright, but we wouldn't eat there again.
Wow, what a fantastic evening! We had a truly delicious meal; the meat was incredibly tender, the portions were generous, and the Kaiserschmarrn was divine. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive.
The prices are a bit high, but worth every penny.
Thank you so much!
Great service, great burgers and it's open up until late.
The meat is very juicy and greasy. I tried the fried sweet potatoes and they were delicious.
Now, more specifically, about the burger... it's very good, so for me the fact that they put ketchup on it ruins it. IMO, when the meat is good, there has to be no sauce on it or at most once that is very subtle, and let the person add if they want to (they already give you additional mayo and ketchup). And then, as a personal preference, I think that the cheese on the cheeseburger was not "present" enough, at least in terms of taste.
But I want to clarify that even though it's not "the perfect burger for me", it's already very good imo.
