Best Nepali restaurant in Berlin. Amazing hospitality!

A cute little restaurant that seems very informal and offers a comfortable atmosphere. The food is very authentic and delicious in all variations (vegan, with meat). Rarely have we eaten so incredibly well. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Overall we were more than thrilled. Absolute recommendation!

The appetizer with the sonorous name “Peanut Salad” is a completely over-seasoned peanut mass, this dish borders on outrageous. Extremely salty and fatty - perhaps a measure for people who have to ensure their survival in high alpine regions with high-calorie foods - but unfortunately inedible. The main course Dalbhat with beef (beef with sauce) made me a little more forgiving. The meat was tender and the sauce was surprisingly good. The staff is quite friendly and you can pay by card. Toilets are typical Berlin grins.

The chef explained to me that it was fruity and sweet and it was a great idea, as I was told in West India... the food ended up being sour. Too bad.

Finally, somewhere that breaks out of the Berlin mould and offers what they promise: an authentic taste of their offered cuisine. There’s a lot of south-east Asian restaurants in Berlin that have all become homogenous in their flavour, but Dahlbat steps out of that malaise. The dishes were varied and interesting and I recommend trying their set which includes a lot of small dishes, just so you can have a taste of everything on offer. Some of the smaller dishes were a miss in my opinion, such as the marinated peanuts which was quite salty, while the chicken was superb. Do not skip the Momos, they were absolutely banging, especially when combined with the Dahl that came our other chickpea dish. Really rich and complex in their flavour but not too far in any one direction, just perfectly balanced. The smokey char from the vegetables really ties the flavour together. The Nepalese cheesecake dessert was also really yummy, as well as the cocktails which were really yum, maybe a bit strong, but who’s complaining there ;) And for such a small place with one person running the whole front of house, the service was superb! Thanks so much for taking great care of us.

Very good food, the taste reminds me of Nepal

It's always a good sign when locals eat locally. So delicious and you can see how everything is freshly made in the back of the kitchen

10/10 for every aspect of dining at Dalbhat! I had previously only gotten delivery, which is consistent and always hits the spot. Last night I went to Dalbhat to dine in for the first time, and I was impressed with the kind and accommodating service, the quality of the food, and the cozy atmosphere. Favorites include jhol momo (mixed), soup of the day, and chow mein. But everything I have tried is really good :) I will be coming here again and again!

First the positive: cozy little "hole-in-the-wall" place, feels like a family run business. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere laid back. It is so tiny though that one sits very tightly and each the time main door opens, cold air rushes in. The portions of the main dishes are just as tiny and honestly tase like Indian food without the spices. If the prices of the dishes reflected this low-key, back-to-basics ambience, I would rate this restaurant highly. But for the range of 14-16 Euros I get MUCH better and much more food in other places. Even the beer price was higher than comparable venues.Too bad. (To be fair, I might just be unrealistic about inflation)

The most authentic nepali food in Germany. We were there for a birthday party. We absolutely recommend for the food. The atmosphere was okey, since we were there without reservations we had to take the table at nearby Laden(sort of art house).

Great Nepalese restaurant in Wilmersdorf. All the food was very yummy and the waitress was very nice ans knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Dalbhat (rice and lentils dish that gives the name to the restaurant) and the vegetarian Momo's. The portions are generous. Definitely reccomend!

One of the best meals I've had in Berlin hands down. We ordered the chicken momos, sungur (pork belly), and beef curry. Flavours were amazing on all the dishes and the value for money is great! Would visit again and again and again!

Delicious Nepalese food. Reminded me straight away of my trip through Nepal. The aromas and taste are so authentic that you might be surprised at first. Definitely anything but ordinary. The Cola with the black salt is not for the faint of heart! The service was also super nice, even when it was busy. I recommend making a reservation, even if there are only two of you.

Great service so good and kind and the food is absolutely delicious.

Went here for my bday and have been wanting to try this place for months. It did not disappoint! We had a large momo with sauce, not the tomato one. We had lamb and the pork belly. For two people we shared everything! Finished without being too full or too bloated. We poured the hot sauce on top of eveeyrhing and even bought some to take home. I loved this place. Its so charming. Will definitely be coming back again.... Soon!

The shared platter of appetisers was delicious - especially the peanut salad. The momos were also excellent - perfect consistency and great taste. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.

Delicious food in a small but cozy restaurant. The selection on the menu is not that large, but there is still something for everyone. Vegans also get their money's worth. The two dishes pictured (momos and tempeh from the wok) were vegan and highly recommended. We'd love to come back

Amazing Momos and amazing nepalese food

We tried the rice wine, which was the best. Also, the other Nepali food tasted authentic. Overall, everything was delicious.

An address that is worth the detour when you are in Berlin! Very pleasantly surprised, the staff are warm and very welcoming, the service is efficient! A very good opportunity to eat quality food in a place far from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. If you like Asian food, go here!

Great restaurant with friendly staff

This is the place for a home cooked tasting meal in a homely environment. There are plenty of vegetarian options. I loved the momos and the dalbath plate. If you still have space after a meal, the halva cake with matcha cream is an absolute stellar. Thank you to the friendly staff with a passing sense of humor. Loved it!

Well-seasoned, delicious vegan dumplings and very friendly service. The second time I went to this restaurant, I was unfortunately disappointed. The peanut salad was a bowl of peanuts with dressing. Not edible as a salad, and the dish my companion left something to be desired. That's why I can currently only recommend the vegan dumplings - and here too, the small portion is enough. A pity.

By far the best Nepalese food I ate in Berlin so far!!! I spent a long time in Nepal and in addition to the warm people & also the beloved & authentic food from there, I always miss and look for it here and have definitely found it in DalBhat Berlin! 11/10 taste wise!!!! There is outdoor seating. The set had many cool flavors, loved the sauce (mango?) The dumpling skins were a tad dried out, but the sauce was lovely. Wanted to try the coconut rice pudding but they ran out.

All around amazing!!! Service was spectacular! Fast, efficient, and very friendly and helpful! The restaurant was clean, and smelled like the food being eaten, the way it should be. Food was really damn amazing, the momos were fresh, hot, and sooo good! Chili’d-Up momos were spicy and still so flavourful! The dal soup was delicious, the rice was fluffy, the peanut salad was spiced to perfection, the house drinks were delicious, and all the drinks were nice and cold. Everything was just perfect really!

It was our first time trying Nepalese cuisine, and it was fantastic. The service, food, and ambiance were delightful. The portions were very generous. We definitely recommend it and will be returning.

Super happy with my experience here. As a love of all things dumpling I enjoyed the punchy flavors in the peanut, sesame, and soy momos. The pork belly was delightfully crispy, the sauce was tangy with a hint of heat, and the chili pickle I only had the pressure of discovering at the end was splendid.

What a hidden gem! The food is fantastic. Highly recommend the Momo in the bean paste sauce. Such a rich flavor and the dumplings are steamed just perfectly. The braised beef is also great. And the spicy margarita may have just been among the best I have had in Berlin. The service is lovely, attentive and very helpful.

We went to have our very first Nepalese cuisine tryout. It was amazing. We ordered a small plate, Nudel dish and dessert at the end 1. I had fried noodle with tofu. Perfectly cooked. Not too dry, a little oily but it's perfect 2. Mo-mos . Perfectly filled, taste balanced and really good 3. Dhood dessert. Flavors really nice.note: eat it with the syrup and not alone Overall, it's an amazing experience. Will I go back again ? Ofcourse. With a great gang too !

As a rule, we don't eat spicy food, but we're not averse to it either. When we ordered here, we specifically chose something without the chili symbol so it wasn't spicy. Unfortunately, the food that was brought to us (the dumplings) was very spicy and only partially edible for us. Luckily there was a glass of milk.

Incredibly delicious. A culinary journey! Super friendly service who explains everything you got there (and you have as little idea as I do), water for the dog, a good mood. Prices absolutely reasonable for what is on offer. We definitely have to come back 😁

Due Dunplings would be really tasty, I can only recommend it to everyone. The only drawback: we would have liked a little more sauce, but that's complaining at a high level. It was a real taste explosion, an aromatic dream. Of course it's not exactly cheap.

I met with my mom and we were out to try genuine Nepalese food, which is not a Euro-Indian Food Place as usual. So we entered the nice, cozy place called Dalbahat, near Bundesplatz (only 5 minutes by foot). The nice waitress offered us a table and she served us very fast. I ordered: Chiya (Nepalese Chai Latte) 6 Vegan Momo (Nepalese Dumplings) with a spicy sauce Halwa Cheesecake It was super tasty and the food quality was flawless. I did like the spiciness and the choice of flavors. The Chai Katte wasn't sweetened as usual, thus it had a nice cinnamon aftertaste. The Momo Dumplings were super soft and firm to the bite as well. The Halwa Cheese Cake with Matcha Cream and a crispy cookie cake base (made of Carrots, Shortcrust, and Cookies) was amazing. A stunning price-performance ratio and a calm, but cozy place. A High recommendation here!

Delicious and unique food, cozy and friendly atmosphere

Nepalese cuisine in a rather pedestrian street. The service was friendly and both cash and card payments were possible at the time of our visit. The food and drink was very mixed, some are highly recommended but others are not. Less recommended dishes include the cold street food Chatpatey (€7.20), which consists of instant noodles, puffed rice, onions, tomatoes and chili. Too tasteless and effortless for the price. Cola with black salt was also not convincing, unfortunately it had a strong musty smell and was just salty. The vegetarian momos (€8.90) were good in taste and presentation. On the other hand, the veggie chatamari with cheese (€8.90) and especially the dalbhat with beef curry (€15.90) ​​were really tasty. These two dishes were completely convincing.

The Matcha Cheese Cake dessert is amazing!! Such a delicious base with carrots and other surprises. Otherwise everything was very tasty, sometimes a little too spicy for us. So if you're not used to spicy food, take a closer look at the menu!

I have been to the restaurant first time and really loved the place and food, so I tired to order it to my home this time thinking it would be as good. But, wasn’t! We ordered chatamari- which was so bland and not great Fried chicken- super super oily And chowmein - bland and super oily. Did not have a great experience this time The achari chill was good.

The nepalese food is great. It's super authentic and tasty. They take great care of you. The interior has some room for improvement, but from what I understand they are working on that. Would recommend!

Went there with my family and we ordered several things and shared. They were all delicious and we had a great time! The place is small and cosy, feels very chill and pleasantly casual. I definitely recommend going in a small group like 2 or 3 people so you can all share and try from each other’s orders!

It was the perfect atmosphere for dinner with friends. Very relaxing and homely. The service staff are very attentive and friendly. I usually can’t tolerate spicy food but I was eager to try spicy dishes here and it was worth it. The momos are must trys! It was our first time to try Nepalese cuisine and were satisfied. ❤️

One of the best places for Nepali dim sums or momos in Europe. Specially the chicken momos. So, only have the spicy sauce if you can take it… If you wish to go traditionally Indian or Nepali Daalbhat is the best option. Made me nostalgic of home. It's a small place but the atmosphere is overall nice and comforting. Especially, the candlelight. One of the best places for Nepalese dim sums or momos in Europe. Especially the chicken momos. And only use the hot sauce if you can tolerate it... If you like traditional Indian or Nepalese, Daalbhat is the best option. It reminded me nostalgically of home. It's a small place but the overall atmosphere is nice and cozy. Especially the candlelight.

Very good service, reservation requests by email and telephone are answered very quickly and changes can also be made at short notice. the restaurant is small and inconspicuous, but very cozy. The food was very good but the momos were by far unbeatable. excellent and absolutely recommended, both the vegetarian and the beef ones (both in chili'd up)!

One of the best restaurants I have been to recently. Their momos are the best. The starters, chowmein were very tasty. We were 7 people there. But the staffs took our large orders very patiently. Those girl staffs were super friendly. A place of great hospitality and very tasty foods.

I visited this place while travelling for work with a colleague from India. He wanted some momo, and we went here. He never had newari food, but he liked it very much. Staff was friendly. Owner gave us some complimentary dish, which was hot and tasty. Momo and appetisers were very excellent too. We also overheard another group of people next to us commenting that their thukpas were delicious. I’d recommend this place. Best to book in advance via their website.

Very small, nice, quiet restaurant with delicious, authentic dishes and friendly service

Easily one of the best meals since I have had in Berlin. The food is lip smacking, honest and true to its culture. The Spiced up Momo's and Jhol Momo was excellent, licked the last drop of it from the plate. The Dal Bhat Tarkari was an assortment of flavours. The potato and radish pickle, the brilliantly finished and grounded chicken curry, the homely vegetable of the day. The owners and staff are warm just as anyone you will meet in Nepal, can vouch from few people that I have met in my life. The place is small, cozy, and While a number of Indian restaurants cater to the local mediocre commercial taste buds to mint money, here is a place that is true to its roots, opening up its doors to an experience that is truly rare. I am not going the count my visits here for sure.

We have been enjoying going to Dal Bhat since last year. As vegetarians, our favorite way to eat is the numerous appetizers and momos.

Ich bin hin, weil der Laden echt gute Rezensionen hatte und hier wurde nicht zu viel versprochen. Ich finde die Atmosphäre extrem angenehm, den Service sehr freundlich und ruhig, Essen war sehr lecker und Wartezeit auch ok.

Amazing place, very authentic food.

Ein optisch, einfaches Restaurant, aber die Qualität des Essens war perfekt! Gute Auswahl ohne dass die Karte überladen wird. Die Vorspeisen Platte ist absolut zu empfehlen. Wir waren mehrere Leute und konnten viele Gerichte probieren. Es war wirklich alles super. Einzig: die Küche ist sehr klein und kann nicht zuviele auf einmal bedienen, also Zeit mitbringen.

Das beste Restaurant in der Gegend und das sympathischste Personal :)) ich gehe immer für die Momos dahin
