I had a great experience at this Nepalese restaurant in Berlin! The Thakali Khaja set was authentic and tasteful, with perfect spices. Excellent service, warm ambience - definitely a must for Nepali cuisine lovers!

Best momos in Germany! Veg momos taste just like in Nepal. The roasted rice cocktail (made with homemade liquor!) and tofu chili were also extremely tasty.

Super tasty restaurant with classic Nepalese dishes and yet individual and creative variations (e.g. the Thalis). The staff was also very nice. Compliments go out to the spicy powder from the family recipe from Nepal, really unique! Can only recommend a visit here.

So nothing against Vietnamese cuisine (nothing), but I'm glad to have discovered a cuisine from the Himalayas on Stargarder Straße between all the Vietnamese restaurants. Everything is made with love, not fancy, but solid, very fresh, original and with wonderfully nice staff. Be sure to take a closer look at the picture on the wall ;)”

If you're looking for authentic Nepali food, you're in good hands. The owners are very kind. The food is authentic and delicious, there are kneeling tables in the back, and if you never had a momo (Nepali dumpling) before, then I couldn't think of a better place to try one.

People know almost more about Nepalese cuisine than they do about Nepal itself. A visit to this house, Thakali, is therefore particularly recommended in uncomfortable, wet and cold weather, because then you have the feeling that anywhere in the world could be more beautiful than here . The Momos dumplings are highly recommended. They only have a limited thing in common with Maultaschen, ravioli, wontons or gyoza (a shell made from dough); The Nepalese specialty is delicate, yet rustic, something unique whose diverse textures and taste will never be forgotten. In addition, a spiced tea is served here, which can only increase the comfort. Unobtrusive, yet always competent service completes the impression of an afternoon with distant relatives. It resonates for a long time.

Hands down the best momo I’ve ever had!! You have to try it Edit: I visited this restaurant twice during my trip, and every dish we tried was consistently incredible. The pork momo is an absolute standout—an absolute must-try! Honestly, I’d return to Berlin just to have the pork momo again.

Very friendly staff, but unfortunately everything takes a very, very long time. After the starter we waited over an hour for the main course and I didn't even get a second drink. The food was very good, but my main course was almost cold. Unfortunately, the staff didn't accept the criticism either. When they pointed out that it took far too long, the only answer they got was that everything was made super fresh, but then my food wouldn't have been cold either. The people at the tables to the left and right of us got the same answer. It's a shame, it definitely had potential.

Nice ambiance, good service, but I found the food quite bland. On recommendation, I had the typical Thakali plate with lamb and various dishes as combination and to drink I had the ice tea (which I liked). Afterwards I asked if the food was cooked authentically, which was confirmed. Maybe Nepalese food is generally less spiced, or it could be the restaurant?

We were just at the Thakali house. It was my first time eating Nepalese food. We tried some starters and the mixed platter as a main course. Every course was EXTREMELY delicious!!!! We were so surprised that we enjoyed EVERY dish. There are lots of meat options and lots of vegan options, which was really perfect for us as a mixed group. To our meat eaters and biggest critics, every vegan dish tasted GREAT! The staff was so nice, the shop is so cozy. We even got little introductions about which regions the food comes from, what the owner's favorite food is and and and... Really an absolute recommendation, the pictures speak for themselves!! "See you again - Feri Bhetaula"!!!!

We ate here with several friends and we all agreed that we hadn't had THIS good food in a very long time. The staff was incredibly welcoming and they made the visit a unique experience. You could really tell that the menu was thought out and cooked here with passion. Gin and tonics were prepared for us with a wide variety of flavors, including Szechuan pepper. There was an extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, all of which tasted incredibly delicious. So delicious that we had starters, main courses and desserts too. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of cozy and modern. We will definitely come back and can recommend Thakali Haus to anyone who wants to experience an unforgettable taste experience and exceptional service.

We ate at Thakali House for the first time last week - and were so impressed that we went back a few days later. Starting with the incredibly friendly service and the pleasant ambience, the positive impression continues when you taste the dishes on offer. Everything we tried was delicious without exception, the fried momos as a starter were a taste experience, the lamb and chicken were wonderfully tender, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, and the various spices opened up a new world. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the dining scene on Stargarder Straße, we will definitely be back!

The food is amazingly delicious, especially the smoky duck!! The staff is nice and friendly, and he provided us with a flavorous homemade chili (warning: it's very spicy). We really had a great time and enjoyed our meal here.

Sorry but sticky tables, dark inside, smeared menu. The food on the menu, with unfortunately not definable ingredient names, i.e. what some things mean. Not so pleasant to eat from metal plates. The Google image is not accurate, it is bright inside, which is why we went there, but in reality, as I said, it is gloomy. The service was great. Very thoughtful waiters and friendly. Try everything to fulfill your wish.

The restaurant is beautiful, and the customer service is great. The food was fresh, nicely cooked and flavourful. It was slightly too oily, and slightly too salty, I would have preferred more of other spices coming forth. However, overall excellent, both the food and the venue.

Danger!!!! It is now a Spanish restaurant with small, fine and delicious tapas.

The restaurant is no longer there. It still possible to reserve a table online, but once you get there there's no restaurant. On Instagram they are still active as if they are still open. That's really bad.

This review is not about food but about opening hours commitment. We looked up this place on Google Maps and as it’s highly rated so we wanted to give it a try. Then we looked up their opening hours on Google maps. It’s not mentioned but on their website. So went there on Saturday at 5 pm for dinner. But when we arrived there we found out that the restaurant was closed. I took a picture of their opening hours mentioned at the door of the restaurant. Advice to restaurant: if you are not open during the promised hours, please put a notice somewhere so people know that you are not open. Or put an asterisk on the promised opening hours that these are not reliable. I am happy to adapt my ratings and review when I will dine here at some point if I am lucky to find it open.

Great place to go for Nepalese/ Indian cuisine. Excellent foods. Cleanliness and hygiene at the highest standard. Friendly staffs. The only slightest dissapointment was the food serving time probably they were short-staffed. Would definitely reccommend to the visitors in Berlin.

The location is very small, so you should book a table in advance. We had the prawn curry and lamb. The food was excellent. It could have been a little more sauce.

A super small and cozy Nepalese restaurant. The dishes were explained to us in detail and the cocktails (our own creations) were adapted to our own taste. The food was very tasty. I wanted one of my friends to taste the Nepali food, so we went there. It was good. Like all Nepali who are really into momo, I did the same and ordered the chicken momo, chicken skewer, and lamb thali. It was delicious.
