We were there for a business lunch and really enjoyed the delicious food, the nice atmosphere and the friendly service. Each of us was thrilled and we would love to come back.
Our rating is purely based on the inn, we didn't spend the night there.
The inn is classically and beautifully furnished, making you feel right at home. Our waiter was very attentive and extremely friendly and engaging.
We ordered schnitzel, cordon blue and spaetzle for our one-year-old son.
It would have been great if the spaetzle had been brought straight away and not with our meal. Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu were very good. However, the schnitzel is very, very thin, you almost have to look for the meat in the breading. A little thicker would be better in my opinion.
An absolutely wonderful traditional restaurant that I have often walked past because it doesn't catch the eye at first glance. The wood-panelled interior including the long bar is reminiscent of Viennese restaurants and the (handwritten!) menu also features a few Austrian classics such as Wiener Schnitzel & Backhendl (salad). In addition, French and Italian dishes are offered in quite high quality at fair prices - and EVERYTHING tastes very good! There is also a gracious, friendly host and a service team of friendly to slightly strange individualists! Totally recommended - a timeless bistro with a local feel! Cheers! 🌟
An absolutely brilliant restaurant.
Great cuisine, super delicious food, well presented, very nice service, and a homely atmosphere.
We were there several times and definitely not the last time.
A top restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, courteous staff and outstanding food.
My girlfriend and I liked the veal cheeks and the steamed dumplings with apricots best. However, I can recommend everything.
If you like upscale, home-style cuisine and appreciate the selection of fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan food, I can unreservedly recommend the restaurant.
A disappointment on all counts.
The order via the app was not processed. When we arrived the food wasn't ready at the promised time.
Then the order was carried out incorrectly. Some things that were ordered and paid for (!) were missing.
When we asked that the drinks were still missing, we were treated unkindly. Despite asking, we didn't receive any other things we ordered (e.g. bread). Instead we were simply ignored.
The staff was visibly overwhelmed.
Unfortunately, the food itself tasted bad. The pears were rock hard, the “fried” goat cheese was not fried, but cold and soft in the salad…
I won't go here again.
UPDATE 1 (April 2024): Dean&David has taken legal action against this nearly four-year-old review. The company feels its personal rights have been violated. How this could be the case is beyond me. I hereby confirm that this review is based on real experience and only reflects actual experiences and my opinion.
UPDATE 2 (03/03/2025): Although Dean&David responded to my UPDATE 1 (as a publicly viewable response) by saying that the legal action taken at the time may have been unfairly taken against my rating, Dean&David is now legally defending itself AGAIN against this rating. This time the reason given is alleged “defamation”. This currently results in Google not publishing my review. I defend myself against this.
