Perfekter Sommerabend! Ceviche Saibling und gebratene Renke waren hervorragend. Freundlicher Service.

Das Essen war ok, aber bei Käfer und in der Preisklasse hätte ich mir mehr erwartet. Der Service wird der Preisklasse und der gehobenen Gastronomie leider in keiner Weise gerecht. Das Restaurant an sich ist sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet, die Terrasse war ruhig und gemütlich.

Früher war es das beste Restaurant in München, leider nicht mehr. Die Weinbegleitung war enttäuschend. Der Sommelier fragte kaum nach unseren Weinvorlieben und öffnete schon eine Flasche. Wir lehnten den Wein ab und aßen zwei Gerichte, bis die nächste Flasche kam. Die größte Enttäuschung war das Hauptgericht: Spargel mit Kartoffeln, etwas, das man in jedem deutschen Restaurant für 16 € bekommt. Leider ist das Restaurant nur noch ein Schatten seiner selbst. 2022/2023 war es immer voll und das Essen hervorragend. Da sie ausschließlich regionale und saisonale Zutaten verwenden, muss man die deutsche Küche und deutsche Aromen mögen, um das Restaurant genießen zu können. Ich finde, die Gerichte und der Wein waren den Preis leider nicht wert. Das Erlebnis an sich ist aber immer noch großartig.

Ein wunderschönes Lokal mit einer inklusiven Speisekarte (wir waren 6 Gäste, davon 2 Veganerinnen und 1 schwangere Vegetarierin). Ohne jegliche Probleme haben sie das Menü an unsere Bedürfnisse angepasst. Top-Tipp in München. Grüne Sterne-Küche mit bestem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Das Niveau des ehem. "Green Beetle" wird gehalten. Jetzt auch und eher für Flexitarier, wobei es mehrere vegetarische Gerichte gibt. Äußerst gute Küche und die Zutaten und Gerichte sind einfach vorzüglich. Gerne auch einmal das Überraschungsmenü wählen (4-Gänge für 69 oder 79 Euro). Sehr gute (auch offene) Weine zur Auswahl. Das Lokal bzw. Konzept ist sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit ausgerichtet und der Service vorbildlich. Alles in allem bestens und nur durch teurere "rote Sterne" - Küche zu toppen. Unbedingt ausprobieren!

untenstehende Bewertung war für das Green Beetle. Das neue nur noch Beetle hat uns nicht überzeugt. etwas wilde Speisekarte (backhuhn, pinsa, boullabaisse, veganes tartar, ...). essen ging so aus unserer sicht, die boullabaisse fand ich super, die vegetarischen gerichte alle etwas zitronig und preis-leistungstechnisch zu teuer. bedienung ist sehr freundlich, aber im vergleich zu früher, wo einem noch das essen 'erklärt' wurde, der passende wein ausgewählt und auch was dazu gesagt wurde, nicht mehr so professionell, aber wie gesagt ausgesprochen freundlich. wir saßen recht eng und hinter uns musste der kellner sich zwischen stuhl und wand 'durchquetschen', suboptimal. Trauern dem alten Green Beetle nach. für das neue von uns keine empfehlung. Greend Beetle, 5 Sterne! ich war gestern zu meinem geburtstag eingeladen mit 6-gang-menü. von a bis z große begeisterung. unfassbar nette freundliche und gut gelaunte bedienungen, tolles modernes witziges ambiente, schräger 80erjahre-sound, und v.a. natürlich ein unglaublich abwechslungsreiches, leckeres, feines, oft überraschendes essvergnügen der wirklich absoluten extra klasse, was auch für das auge unglaublich gutliebevollschön hergerichtet wird. weita so! das das ganze jetzt nicht gerade ein schnapper ist, ist mir auch klar, aber wenn man sich mal was gönnen will (gibt ja auch ein 'nur' 4 gängemenü) und wenn man seine nicht-vegetarischen freunde mal überraschen möchte, mit vegetarisch-veganer küche mit sterneniveau, dann ist man hier absolut richtig. zum 2. mal voll und ganz begeistert.

Früher mal vegetarisch jetzt regional, mit gleichwohl sehr interessanten vegetarischen Gerichten. Bouillabaisse super. Sehr freundliches personal das das Verhältnis von Nähe und Ferne zum Gast gut hinbekommt. Gute Weinberatung. Angenehm unverspannt, mehr New York Greenwich Village (think Café Cluny) feel als Bogenhausener Wichtigtuerei.

Eines der besten Restaurants in München! Super toller Kellner, aufmerksamer Service, leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente

Im Gegensatz zu vor zwei Jahren als es noch Green Beetle hieß, ist es nun eine ausgewogene Karte mit rein vegetarischen Gericht aber auch Gerichten mit Fisch und Fleisch, so das jetzt jeder was findet. Dies Mal hatten wir auch das Glück von einem sehr angenehmen und engagierten jungen Italiener bedient zu werden, der eine vortrefflich verbal die Bälle zu spielte und alle Orthodoxie des fanatischen Vegetarier-Restaurants vergessen ließ, wie wir es noch vor 2 Jahre erleiden mussten, als man und keinen Wein aussuchen noch bringen wollte, da er nicht vom Haus als die richtige Begleitung gewertet wurde, also ließ man uns lange auf dem Trockenen sitzen. Zum Glück ist alles anders, außer der vortrefflichen Qualität, die war auch damals schon einzigartig. Die Karte ist sehr variantenreich und der regionale Charakter tut, da wir in Bayern sind sein übriges, um einen zu überzeugen. Man kann das Lokal voll und ganz empfehlen - nur über das Ambiente könnte man streiten, was aber da es um Geschmackliches geht, eigentlich nicht wirklich zur Diskussion steht, wie man weiß.

Ich war schon zweimal im Beetle, beide Male mit einer größeren Gruppe. Das Team des Beetle schafft eine einladende und freundliche Atmosphäre und bietet eine regionale Speisekarte von unaufdringlicher Exzellenz. Die Küche versteht ihr Handwerk, und es ist faszinierend zu sehen, was das Küchenteam aus den fantastischen Zutaten der Käfer-Gruppe zaubert. Wenn Sie das Beetle noch nicht kennen, sollten Sie es unbedingt ausprobieren. Am meisten beeindruckt hat uns jedoch die Bereitschaft des Beetle-Teams, im vergangenen November unseren besonderen Wunsch zu erfüllen und ein Thanksgiving-Festessen (mit Truthahn) für unsere kleine Gruppe auszurichten. Sie nahmen die Herausforderung an und bereiteten einen großen gebratenen Truthahn mit Füllung und traditionellen Beilagen für zehn Personen zu. Truthahnbraten ist eine knifflige Angelegenheit, aber sie schafften es, einen saftigen und perfekt gepökelten Vogel zu zaubern. Die Beilagen und die Präsentation dieses Abendessens waren ebenso unvergesslich, mit einigen interessanten Variationen bekannter Gerichte – wir waren wirklich beeindruckt. Vielen Dank an das Beetle-Team und an Küchenchef Schneider – wir sehen uns bald wieder!

Wir haben den Jahreswechsel im Restaurant beetle verbracht – und es hätte kaum besser sein können. Das Silvesterdinner als Flying Buffet war nicht nur eine großartige Idee, sondern auch perfekt umgesetzt: kreativ, hochwertig und unglaublich lecker. Die Vielfalt der kleinen Gerichte war beeindruckend – von raffiniert interpretierten Klassikern bis zu überraschenden, modernen Kreationen. Alles war optisch wunderschön angerichtet und geschmacklich auf absolutem Top-Niveau. Besonders schön war, dass man durch das Flying-Buffet-Konzept ständig neue Highlights probieren konnte, ohne sich festlegen zu müssen. Der Service war dabei jederzeit aufmerksam, freundlich und hervorragend organisiert, trotz des gut besuchten Abends. Man hatte nie das Gefühl, warten zu müssen, und die Stimmung war angenehm entspannt und zugleich festlich. Auch das Ambiente des beetle hat perfekt zum Anlass gepasst: stilvoll, gemütlich und mit genau der richtigen Portion Eleganz und Ungezwungenheit für einen besonderen Abend wie Silvester. Ein rundum gelungener Jahresabschluss mit großartigem Essen, tollem Service und einer wunderbaren Atmosphäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder – nicht nur an Silvester! 🥂

Es war ein perfekter Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen und immer einem vollen Glas in der Hand 😊 bei der Vielzahl an Getränken und kleinen Gängen kann man die Leistung des Teams gar nicht genug herausstellen. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt bei euch! Wir können euch nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen würde für den Anspruch als solide bis sehr gut bezeichnen. Das vegane Tartar ist wirklich ausgezeichnet und das Wildgericht mit hausgemachten Spätzle war viel besser als in jedem anderen Restaurant. Der Service war superfreundlich und sympathisch , aber leider nicht kompetent. Es handelt sich offensichtlich überwiegend um Aushilfskräfte. Das war spätestens klar, als ich den Rotwein ins gleiche Glas wie den Weißwein eingeschenkt bekommen habe (ich habe schnell noch selbst mit Mineralwasser gespült…). Was mich auch nicht überzeugt hat, ist , dass ich weder im Restaurant noch per Mail Auskünfte zu einem verbliebenen Gutscheinrestbetrag bekommen habe.

Wir waren heute bereits zum zweiten Mal hier. Aufgrund der Vorweihnachtszeit gab es einige größere Gruppen im Restaurant, wodurch es im Raum sehr laut wurde. Obwohl die KellnerInnen viel zu tun hatten und unser Dessert etwas verspätet kam, wurde sich herzlich um uns gekümmert. Essen wie gewohnt fantastisch. Auf Allergien/Sonderwünsche wird eingegangen.

Abendessen für 13 Personen mit Sonderreservierung: Wir hatten den privaten Raum im Untergeschoss des Restaurants, der sehr schön ist. Das Essen war zu raffiniert, nichts Besonderes und viel zu wenig. Wir mussten Nachschlag bestellen. Der Weißwein war okay. Der Rotwein hingegen eine Katastrophe! Fünf verschiedene Personen waren sich einig: ungenießbar! Wir mussten einen neuen bestellen! Der Kellner stieß auf seinem Weg durch den Tisch alles an, was ihm in die Quere kam. Insgesamt: Nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir waren begeistert! Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und phantastisches Essen. Gediegenes Ambiente. Wir hatten dort unsere Weihnachtsfeier und dafür eignet sich die Location hervorragend. Sehr private angenehme Atmosphäre. Sehr schön dekoriert und edles Gedeck. Können wir echt empfehlen!

Tolles Ambiente, erstklassiger Service, hervorragendes Essen!

War ein toller Abend hier, es wäre schön wenn auch die jüngeren Gäste über ihre Speisen mehr informiert werden und das Essen nicht nur hin gestellt wird. Das Essen war gut nur die Portionsgrößen könnten größer sein. Die Pinsa ist sehr zu empfehlen? Die Vegane Küche hatte auch eine gute Auswahl.

Ein top Restaurant mit gemütlichen Ambiente, zuvorkommenden Personal und überragendem Essen. Am besten haben meiner Freundin und mir die Kalbsbäckchen sowie die Dampfnudeln mit Marillen geschmeckt. Allerdings kann ich alles empfehlen. Wer gehobenen, gut bürgerliche Küche mag und die Auswahl aus Fisch, Fleisch, vegetarischem und veganem Essen schätzt, dem kann ich das Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

What we liked - vegan options and menu - price vs quality is good - nice interior - very polite and friendly staff What we did not like - we ordered the 4 course menu (70EUR) and our main and starter was forgotten, meaning that it took around 1H to get the main and around 40 min to get the soup. We arrived at 7 pm and our main came shortly after 9. The staff tried to compensate but it is really unfortunate mistake that can ruin the dinner experience especially when it's an anniversary and when it is not cheap (1 star less) - the food was super tasty and we liked it a lot but we expected somehow something more special, some magic (1 star less) - if you sit at the 2 person tables, you can listen to all the partner tables as they are a bit close Overall I can recommend the restaurant but next time I was ask way earlier were the next course is

A lovely restaurant with a great focus on sustainability and organic produce. We were almost surprised on our return visit to see that meat dishes were now also on the menu. Given the excellent, product-focused, and meticulously prepared vegetarian cuisine, we didn't think it was necessary, but it also makes it a great place to visit with friends. Truly fantastic and highly recommended.

Pleasant atmosphere. Relaxed music. Beautiful design. Service was excellent. The "Kernschmelze" (melting pot) was particularly impressive, and the liver was also good. The bottle of Riesling was affordable and tasty. The wine list could use a good Barolo, vino nobile, etc. Otherwise, a 5-star visit.

Perhaps the best restaurant I've ever been to in Munich! Very attentive, friendly, and competent service. The selection is very diverse – there's something for everyone. And every course is a highlight! Everything here is truly exquisitely seasoned. I also found the decor to be exceptionally beautiful… highly recommended!

We spent an absolutely perfect evening at Beetle. A great atmosphere (we sat outside on the terrace), delicious and high-quality food, and friendly and attentive waiters. Everything was top-notch from start to finish! We highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely be back :)

The food was decent, but unfortunately, I couldn’t fully enjoy the aperitif tasting menu as my request to remove bacon was not followed. Although the staff later apologised and offered complimentary ice cream this was ultimately not taken off the bill. Overall, the service was disappointing for this reason.

Creative, sophisticated, and well-thought-out – you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion of the kitchen team in every bite. We were particularly impressed by how innovative yet down-to-earth the vegetarian and vegan cuisine is interpreted here. A true statement that shows how diverse and enjoyable sustainable cuisine can be. The service also deserves high praise: attentive, warm, and professional. As a guest, you feel well looked after throughout, without it feeling forced. Special requests are fulfilled with a smile, questions about the menu are answered competently – everything is just right here. There used to be a vegan five-course meal here, which is unfortunately no longer on the menu. But when we asked the waiter if it was still available, he simply told us they were making it anyway. He was a very nice man, it was super delicious and beautifully presented!

I recently had the great pleasure of dining at Beetle as part of an invitation – and I can say with complete conviction: it was fantastic all around! The atmosphere captivated me as soon as I arrived – the location is not only stylish, but also inviting and pleasantly unpretentious. The service was attentive, friendly, and very professional from the very first moment. I would particularly like to emphasize how thoughtful and flexible they were with my individual requests: I have some food intolerances, which were accommodated without much fuss – including delicious alternatives. This is not something to be taken for granted and I was genuinely impressed. The food was a real highlight: the flavors were spot on, creative but not overwhelming – and the portions were generous without being over the top. Everything that came to the table was fresh, finely balanced, and prepared with noticeable attention to detail. In short: a wonderful evening in a restaurant that not only impresses with its culinary skills, but also with its human touch. I would love to return!

We went to Beetle with friends yesterday and had the most wonderful summer dinner there. Incredibly great service, a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes (so delicious!), and a wonderful ambiance on the terrace made the evening perfect.

This place was SO GOOD! The service was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely to die for. I am a vegetarian, and there were tons of options for me as well as for my non-vegetarian friend. I think we stayed here for 3 hours enjoying the food, drinks, and atmosphere, and we could have stayed longer.

Very nice place, with modern and tasteful furnishings, in shades of green. I had noticed it for the lovely terrace, very atmospheric, but unfortunately it was raining and the terrace was closed. I think it is part of the Kafer group, since for the reservation you are directed to the Kafer website. I really liked the selection of regional products. Very well-curated menu, with a choice - rightly - limited but very refined (I don't like menus as big as books where you can find everything). Fairly fast service (it is true that the place was not full so I don't know what the service is like at full capacity) and friendly. The food was very good and also well presented. Excellent cocktails. The price is in line with the costs of Munich and the quality of the food. Google reported parking as difficult, but either I am very lucky or in comparison to Florence any city is easy or I don't know, just look around a bit and park on the street, especially if you have the possibility of walking, which is always good (I parked in front of the restaurant anyway!). I think I'll definitely try to go back!

The Beetle treated us to a wonderful evening on June 25, where everything was just right. Attentive and friendly service, a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, and an all-around excellent meal. It was recommended to us as a vegan restaurant a year ago, and even though it's no longer a purely plant-based menu, there are compelling vegan options on the menu. The menu as a whole is clearly laid out, which I really appreciate and also means that the food doesn't take too long to arrive. The fluffy, crispy bread to start (with a nice spicy olive oil and salt flakes) was the perfect start; the beetroot tartar, broccoli linguine, and asparagus risotto were all impressive, and the almond rice pudding was the perfect finish. We're already looking forward to repeating the experience outside this summer.

We dined at Green Beetle when it was a vegetarian restaurant and had the coursed menu, and we had left so impressed especially as non-vegetarians. I was really excited to come back...Unfortunately, it seems now the chef, menu, and possibly ownership has changed. We dined here last night and the experience left much to be desired for me. 1) Service. Maybe the place was understaffed, but no offer of apertivo, coffee/tea after dinner, checking in how the food is. We had to flag a waiter down a few times to order more water or another glass of wine. So easy to upsell but a missed opportunity. 2) Food: The daily special barlough risotto was delicious. +1 star. I still remember the cool treasure chest of chocolate desserts when I dined here 2 years ago. They now offer fish and meat dishes. Apparently you can request a tasting menu but this information was not provided until the very end. 3) Overall ambiance. Maybe it was because it was a nice night and we had to sit inside, I understand everyone want to be outside but servers seemed annoyed we asked if we could sit outside. Background music was strange, i dont know. I just didnt love it anymore and wish we picked another place to dine.

My highlight of the evening: the best Tafelspitz I've ever eaten. And service that made you feel like you were in a friend's living room.

At the previous 'green' concept, we experienced culinary highlights in a relaxed atmosphere; the time flew by! Even in the rain, we enjoyed the evening on the terrace (more like a bamboo garden), beginning with the best freshly baked, fluffy bread we've ever tasted. This was accompanied by the finest olive oil and olives. The continuation was characterized by unique taste experiences and surprising discoveries that melted in the mouth. The clientele wishes to be discreet and conscious, the service personal, attentive, and extremely competent. Yesterday, we waited and waited... from the moment we ordered to the main course. The appetizer consisted of ordinary slices of bread with a hard crust and a meager layer of butter foam. While the starters were convincing, neither the asparagus nor the sauces were anything but special. The chicken came with only a lemon wedge, and the coffee didn't even come with a biscuit or a praline. The decoration on the plates—once part of the presentation—was sparse, even identical on several dishes (dabs of sauce). We gulped when we asked for the bill and were presented with a receipt for everyone to see. Every Italian handed out a leather wallet. The usual suitcase crowd had moved in: service clubs, businesspeople, business meetings: loud and presumably less concerned with quality than with the 'brand'. In the future, we'll choose the original, high-quality cuisine at a vegetarian restaurant or a steakhouse. It's a shame, a bit more patience would have been worth it, for everyone involved!

Excellent quality, good value for money, great experience especially as a vegetarian

Unfortunately it's no longer what it was. You now have to look for vegetarian dishes on the menu. The menu now shows more upscale tavern cuisine (fried chicken, goulash...). It's a shame, it was a really great vegetarian restaurant with great surprise menus. It's a shame that the concept didn't stick.

This place was very hyped and I was excited to go there. We were a table of 8 and there were 4 courses. It took 3 hours to get them all out and as you can see they weren't Large or fancy. Halfway through everyone wanted to leave as the service was so slow for the quality of the food.

We ate at Beetle in March 2025 – and it was simply fantastic! The kitchen delighted us with outstanding dishes, and sous chef Patrick Mall's recommendations were first-class. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. If you simply want really good food without any excessive frills, this is the place for you!

A great restaurant with a small, fine menu and excellent food. This includes presentation, preparation and taste. The service is extremely friendly, personable and service/customer-oriented in every respect. The lovingly curated ambience (inside and outside) makes the visit an experience that appeals to and satisfies all the senses.

Two days ago there were four of us in the Beetle. At first I was blown away by the atmospheric atmosphere and the timeless, modern ambience (you immediately feel at home and want to stay seated longer. The waiter was incredibly nice, but not intrusive, very accommodating and really knew about wine, cocktails and the food... But not by heart, but knowledge with heart. All I can say about the food is "It was amazing!". Very good, interesting and delicious taste compositions. Absolutely justified every cent. We'll definitely be back.

The two of us visited the Green Beetle in the summer and were very satisfied. The dishes were vegan and very varied. There were also a few small greetings from the kitchen, which further brightened our evening. The grilled watermelon was a highlight. The prices are reasonable, not overpriced

By reading the Google description, we somehow thought this was a vegetarian restaurant but it turned out it’s actually not. Yet they have a selection of every type of dietary so that was great. The food was delicious and the service was a top notch. They do not have any tasting menu but they offered us to make one for us out of the dishes we chose which was absolutely nice! Totally recommended.

This was an amazing experience across the board. The service staff are all very kind, gracious, and attentive. The interior design and overall aesthetic of the place is simultaneously chic and cozy. And most importantly, the food is immaculate. Many of the dishes are familiar classics, updated and refreshed with contemporary flair but with enough restraint to let the quality ingredients shine on their own. I was also particularly satisfied and impressed with the variety of vegetarian and vegan menu options. If you find yourself in Munich, this place isn’t to be missed!

Edit February 2025: I am very disappointed to see that the restaurant now also offers meat and fish because it was probably not economically viable. I looked at the menu: Now the majority (!) of the main courses are meat or fish and the rest of the menu only offers a very sparse vegan offering (in contrast to what was "promised" by the restaurant a few months ago). Perhaps they should have seriously considered improving the vegan food offering before taking the step to put meat and fish on the menu again. There is a very high demand for upscale vegan cuisine in Munich and unfortunately there is still no corresponding offer even in 2025. It's a real shame that the Beetle didn't take advantage of this opportunity. With creative creations and portions that at least don't leave you home hungry, the restaurant would certainly have been much more popular with vegans. For me the Beetle is definitely no longer an option. The restaurant, especially the terrace, is beautiful. Very cozy and tastefully decorated. The waitresses are also very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, as a vegan, I was quite disappointed with the food. I had 3 courses and I didn't find any of them particularly outstanding and for what I got I felt the food was significantly overpriced. The vegan waffles as a starter were boring and a bit dry. The gnocchi snail for 25 (!) Euros was a mini portion and in my opinion it was nothing special at all. The sauce with it was good. But I expected a lot more. I had just been to the Arkhe restaurant in Lisbon (found in the Michelin guide; no star (yet)) just 3 days before and paid just under 100 euros for a 9-course menu there. And in return I received highly exclusive cuisine, where every course was a taste explosion. I was correspondingly disappointed with the Green Beetle. I feel like there is more on offer for vegetarians (my vegetarian companion's dishes looked more interesting and, strangely, were much larger). I paid almost 60 euros for my 3 mini portions and of course I was still hungry afterwards. But then I didn't want to try any more courses because the previous three had already disappointed me quite a bit. Conclusion: Atmosphere is wonderful, for vegetarians I think it's a good place to go for fine dining, but unfortunately rather disappointing for vegans.

Probably the culinary highlight in Munich if you focus on a vegetarian/vegan diet. We had a great evening! Additional information about the gluten-free diet was not a problem and was taken into account.

Overall, a mixed experience. The service seems to be encouraged to whisper to the guests and is more formally distant than warm. Unfortunately, the linguine al limone was tough and disproportionately sour. We found the price-performance ratio to be correspondingly poor. The sorbet offered by Crafteys vom Chiemsee was particularly tasty. The rooms are also very attractive.

Great location; everyone tried very hard; extremely friendly staff; help from the phone to the coat-:)) something you rarely find today! A gastronomic experience; a special kind! Cozy and inviting atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff, and a varied menu

I was at the Beetle for the first time today and had an unforgettable evening with my girlfriend. A very welcoming atmosphere, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is very cozy. The service was excellent and the food was simply phenomenal and prepared with so much attention to detail. It's a real shame because the previous concept was bolder and more inspiring. Since the change of chef and now since the change of concept, there has been less incentive for us to visit the restaurant, which is beautifully designed and has friendly staff. For a mixed menu you can also go to the Käfer Schänke. The quality of the dishes in both restaurants is very good, but it was the bold concept at the beginning that impressed us so much.

Sometimes everything just fits – like when I visited the newly opened Beetle. The casual, inviting atmosphere immediately creates a feeling of well-being, and the subtle furnishings underline the relaxed character of the house. The dishes were excellently coordinated, masterfully prepared and tasted at the highest level. Been there for the second time, really oversalted everything for the second time and because I want to eat there, this counts more for me in the rating than the rest. I don't understand why such great vegan and vegetarian dishes have to be so oversalted. Different chefs in three years and still this experience again. Such a shame! Ingenious combinations in the dishes that would work on their own, and you just taste salt... even with the sweet dessert. There is a vegan cheese plate online that has not been offered in the restaurant for over a year. I remind you: I'm at Käfer's... Can the authorities no longer afford to update the website? The wine list is simply hard to read, so the grape varieties are not recognizable and you have to ask (what feels like) embarrassing questions. The sommiliere just said that the graphics agency apparently didn't do a good job and that they simply left out various wines because of the "beauty" of the menu... Hello?! I'm at Käfer's, right?! Does Käfer's authorities no longer have the money for a decent graphics agency, so they prefer to present guests with an unreadable wine list? The service is positive: David did a top job! Thanks!!! If it wasn't for this great service, I would definitely have left earlier (after the starter, so to speak). The atmosphere was also pleasant. The music was well chosen, very pleasant and controlled in such a way that you could have a great conversation despite the relative volume. In my opinion, some of the tables are so narrow that I wonder whether this is allowed from a fire safety perspective... Conclusion: + Ambience ok. + Service top! - Wine list not readable - Different menu online (for years) than in the restaurant - Totally oversalty any food (this is also what my two companions said) - Price does not match the service (although reduced for the first visit)!

The Green Beetle was a restaurant that had to be given 5 stars because everything was right from start to finish. Since January 1st, the Green Beetle has become a Käfer restaurant with fried chicken and everything else you are used to from the Käfer. A course menu is no longer available. If customers want the same thing in every restaurant of the brand, they can also go to McDonalds, so the beetle doesn't have to come up with unique, modern-sounding names for it. Just call it Käfer Nord, Käfer Süd and Käfer Kaltenbrunn (nothing good has been there for a while). A restaurant that you can wish for a lot with the current “concept” but no success.

Previously known as a vegan restaurant for very good cuisine. Now two things have changed: There is meat there. And me no more. What a shame! But Munich has many alternatives; also enough with honest conviction.

Had the 6-course menu with non-alcoholic drinks. It was a very inspiring culinary evening with a great feel-good atmosphere.

We ordered the 6 course surpise menu .. i must say the biggest surprise was that everything was vegan but without Tofu. Normally in all vegan restaurants, every other dish is made of Tofu. Here they use the actual vegetables and fruits to make the each course which makes the whole experience so interesting. The wine pairing was not the best. They mix the red and wine with each course. Also, the quantity of wine with wach meal was quite not sufficient. The service was amazing. The staff is super friendly. It took us almost about4 hours to complete our 6 course dinner. So if you plan to do that , keep the time factor in mins and go early evening for dinner.

There's nothing bad to say about this place. Maybe it's worth noting that despite the high standard, it's very relaxed. The good staff also contributes to this. We had six courses, which with surprises and hors d'oeuvre was more like ten. By the way, the prices for a la carte are very reasonable.

Creative vegan dishes, enjoyable experience

My wife and I go out for "extraordinary" meals several times a year and as a vegetarian alternative, the Green Beetle is almost unique in Munich. The dishes were special in terms of quantity, appearance and taste, but in my opinion there were also things that were simply exaggerated. The service was nice and courteous. What we noticed was that the wine accompaniment was always poured into the same glass. At a minimum of €150 p.p. you can also change the wine glasses. Ambiance is nice and open. Personally, I found the decorative beetles on the wall very appealing.

It was an amazing dinner with very friendly and attentive waiters. We had a surprise 6 course menue and each one was delicious! I can highly recommend this restaurant to everybody who likes vegetarian/vegan food :)

We went to the kitchen party at Green Beelte on October 31, 2024 - the first, but definitely not the last time! Very nicely decorated restaurant with attentive and courteous staff (kitchen & service). Most of the dishes were not only vegetarian, but also vegan - very beneficial with various food allergies! We look forward to your next visit!

Ordered a vegan 4-course menu with wine accompaniment. We have never eaten anything so special. Brilliant preparation, outstanding service and overall a great location. It's expensive, but in my opinion it's worth the money. I can only recommend it!

Always worth a visit. Fine vegan and vegetarian cuisine. What the TIAN used to offer, which unfortunately no longer exists in Munich.

Unfortunately quite disappointing. The plates were cleared even though not everyone at the table had finished eating. The food was heavy on the stomach and unfortunately some of it was inedible (last sunrise).

Way too expensive with small portions. Wine prices outrageous.

Rarely have I experienced such friendly service and have rarely eaten such good vegetarian and vegan food. Eating here is quite an experience - and even for the four-course menu you should allow 2 hours or more, even if you eat quickly. But these are hours full of true enjoyment. Dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or nut-free were also taken into account very carefully and the menu was then adapted accordingly for the person concerned. At no extra charge we had the best, freshly baked gluten-free bread I've eaten in a long time.
