Not bad, but you can find better for 5 times cheaper. Better fine dining is available for 1.5-2 times cheaper. The price corresponds to a Michelin recommendation, but the plate is at least two levels below. Otherwise we had a good time and the waiters were friendly.

In the manual. Every wine lover gets their money's worth and can also indulge in culinary delights! The warmly furnished, stylish guest room as well as the unobtrusive but strikingly friendly and attentive service ensure a cozy atmosphere. All dishes were not only prepared with attention to detail but were also very tasty and sometimes exceptional. Here the evening is not just a meal but an experience, we will definitely come back and look forward to new menus!

The evening was a complete success, starting with the excellent service (especially from the owner, who was very warm), to the ambience and best of all: the food was really incredibly good (the best fish dishes I've ever had!!!)! The wine recommendations were also on point! We'll be back soon and really had a MEGA evening with you, thank you very much for that!

Very nice service and a good wine list. The menu also reads well, but is massively disappointing. Polenta with mushrooms and truffles is a warm semolina porridge without tension. Mushrooms limp, truffles far too dominant. Unfortunately the tartare was really disappointing. Mushy minced meat mixed with roasted sesame seeds. No cucumber, no capers, no egg, no dressing. Just no taste. After complaining, dessert was on the house and was very tasty.

The food itself is somewhat acceptable but definitely not for the price offered. Anyone who sells miniature portions between 30 and 40 euros and tries to advertise the 75€ menu in an almost sales-driven way needs better offers and, above all, some service expertise. The very ordinary and manageable beef tartare tastes for €30 and two 50g. Chunks of venison meat for €36 and slightly overcooked cod at a similar price leave a rather bland experience. The wine that went with it, a weak Burgundy Chardony for just under €70, was unfortunately also not convincing. It's a shame, we had hoped for more based on other good reviews.

Manu Wine Bar offers a pleasant atmosphere and delicious wines, but the prices are overpriced and the portions are rather small - you don't really leave the restaurant full. A plus point, however, is the free dessert, which is served in a friendly manner as a little extra and offers a positive conclusion. However, anyone who places more value on a feeling of satiety might be disappointed here. €5 per rock oyster is also a proud price.

Went there at short notice for a bite to eat and a glass of wine and had a very pleasant time. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive and we were given very good advice. The wine and the wine selection were very good, although the selection of open wines could perhaps be a little more varied. For food there is a small but very well put together menu. The food was delicious, high quality and very well prepared.

Not cheap, but the kitchen performance is quite good. However, the service is often not suitable for the price range. Never mind, the restaurant is very popular. We now tend to choose the Brasserie Les Deux in the Fünf Höfe.

Small menu. Excellent wine selection. Wonderful dish composition and perfect flavors. The service was attentive, professional, and relaxed. Nice place to have dinner and relax. In summer they offer tables outside.

The food is no longer as rich in finesse as it used to be, the main ingredients as described on the menu were only on the plate in the smallest doses. The tartare is no longer as creamy as it used to be. Wine balance good. Ambience very good. Recommendation: perfect for wine and cheese plates.

Unfortunately one of the restaurants where the guest is unfortunately not king. Assume that the store is doing so well that guests are not served despite opening hours. NO GO for me but the store can probably afford to carry out such business practices. I was traveling by bike and in a sports suit when I asked if I could sit down or order something. Nice location on the edge of the Glockenbachviertel with seating in and in front of the restaurant. At first I hesitated as to whether the focus was more on the restaurant or the wine bar. Ultimately, however, the restaurant won in the individual evaluation. The menu with a few interesting and very good dishes is quite impressive and would more than satisfy the guest, even if they were only accompanied by a table wine. The tartare in particular, which like other dishes is also offered as a starter or main course, was a revelation. The best I've eaten so far and, in contrast to many other tartar dishes in other places, not something you can quickly imitate in your home kitchen. Unless you're a professional a la "Kitchen Impossible". This always justifies the price, which for the main course variant is already in the upper range of what can be expected. About the wine bar: The style, ambience and wine advice in a wine bar that takes itself seriously should correspond to a slightly more sophisticated standard and that doesn't completely work. The seating is at least uncomfortable and looks like a simple bistro where you could happily indulge in a Beaujolais primeur. Something for in between but not for lingering for a long time. The impression of a special “wine atmosphere” is probably not intended at all. The focus is less on the classier Viktualienmarkt and more on the surrounding area of ​​the Glockenbachviertel. The next surprise was a wine list that you wouldn't find in many upscale restaurants. I would have expected more. If you know exactly what you want and can find it on the menu, like with us, that's no problem. There was no real advice that would arouse the desire to experiment, so my well-versed old college friend ordered tried-and-tested things. The small misunderstanding with the Burgundy bottle mix-up wasn't a big deal and was quickly resolved. What about the price structure? I worked part-time in upscale restaurants when I was a student and know that you can expect an x-fold surcharge for cheap wines, while more expensive wines get a more moderate surcharge. Our bottled wine was expensive to purchase (just check on the vivino app) and received a 3x markup. This left me a little uneasy, but that quickly subsided because the red Burgundy we chose was great and we were also brought an ice bucket because the wine was clearly too warm from the shelf. I would like to see an offer including advice at a place like this that would show more love for the product. More interesting wines by the glass and at least a small wine menu to accompany the food. The wine should be more of a focus, even if this chef at Manu really knows his craft. Would I come back? Absolutely yes, but more with the focus on a few great plated dishes.

The restaurant is convincing across the board! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable, the service is excellent and incredibly friendly. Both the vegetarian dishes and the meat dishes are first class. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot. I had the best riesling of my entire visit to Bavaria here. A Rheinhessen they have by the glass, very reasonably priced. Server was friendly and helpful. I'll be by for a meal and a bottle next time I'm in town.

A great experience and absolutely recommended. Why? We went to Manu's wine bar yesterday and were served in a friendly manner that you rarely find. We didn't like the first wine recommendation and the bottle was taken back without any hesitation and the second attempt was perfect! Pastrami and tartare were unbeatable! Unfortunately, I didn't like the main course - as we all know, taste is not debatable. And now comes the reason why we definitely won't be there for the last time: the way in which my feedback was handled in a service-oriented and attentive manner is rarely, if ever, found in Munich anymore! The evening shows that even a mismatched taste sometimes helps to make a bar visit perfect. P. S. we are bringing back the wooden board from the cheese to go 😄 - thank you for the nice visit!

Our first visit was a bit bumpy at first but the team and owners really did their best to make up for it. This is what a good error culture looks like, we'll be back!

Excellent, super fresh food - presentation is like an artist on the plate, with vibrant colors. Flavor profile isnt crazy or overly seasoned. Heavy emphasis on garden/vegetables and meat and fish dishes were excellent extensive wine list. the atmosphere was new, inviting, wasn't loud.

Nice wine bar to enjoy a glass of wine. Food expensive. We had a starter plate for two - nothing exciting and the quantity was manageable for a whopping EUR 48! It doesn't work at all.

If you respect yourself and french cuisine avoid this place, they charge you for an antipasti plate of Sardine for 18€ and they don’t even bother to take it out of the can. See the photo. Overpriced and below average. The red wine was bad too.

Top local! We ate there with a larger group and had an extremely good menu, both vegan and with meat. The service left nothing to be desired and was friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. One star is deducted because we unfortunately found the starter to be too salty. I look forward to seeing you again. Top: pulpo was so fine and buttery soft!

Good food, very small wine list for a wine bar, but with very fairly calculated prices. But: Incredibly unfriendly and arrogant boss. We didn't have a reservation, the nice waiter wanted to sit us at a nice table for two that wasn't reserved. Then the boss came, didn’t look at us and said “Don’t put that there!” Instead we were seated at an 8th table in the corner. The beautiful table remained free during our entire visit. Even after that, the boss didn't even look at us, the wine was carelessly slammed onto the table, glasses were never refilled, etc. We felt unwelcome the whole evening, even though we ordered three courses plus an aperitif and wine. Shame about the good food :(

Great wine list and really good advice/service! We only had some snacks like Sardinia to eat, but those were good too!

I made a written reservation at Manu about a month before the visit, saying “It's our wedding anniversary, a romantic table would be great”. There were some nice tables available by the window on site, but the receptionist led us to the worst table in the room, right at the entrance to the kitchen and toilet. I asked her if we could have one of the free tables in the front area. However, without having taken a look at the reservations, she refused with the words “The other guests have explicitly reserved these tables. Next time let us know early on which table you would like.” However, I had the feeling that we had been lied to, which was later confirmed during a cigarette break in front of the door by a guest who had gotten one of the front seats without a special reservation. Since my wife feels uncomfortable in conflict situations, and in order not to ruin the evening, we sat down without further discussion and I had to resign myself to the sight of a jacket rack and 4-5 unused wine coolers on stands in the corner in front of a white one were placed on the wall, lit by a lonely lamp from which a cobweb stretched towards the wall. After we ordered, the appetizers arrived quickly, followed by two cremants. We ordered the appetizers (see photo), but they were nothing special. I had to return the fork because it was dirty. We hadn't managed to drink the aperitifs and eat the appetizers yet when the appetizer came out of the kitchen a few minutes later. We couldn't even order wine until then. We immediately made up for it and asked the waiter to take a little more time with the main course. He then apparently applied this request to all of his activities that evening. The wine we ordered was placed in a wine cooler and a small sip was poured into our glass before the bottle disappeared again. The main course came a little later. The waiter poured another drop into our glass, which didn't last until the end of the meal. Meanwhile, no one paid attention to us or responded to my wife's gesture. When the main course was cleared we asked for the dessert menu and asked to pour us more wine. When nothing had happened after 15 minutes, we asked again for the dessert menu. I was thirsty by now and had removed our bottle of wine from the wine cooler myself and discovered that the bottle was still half full. I then switched to self-service, otherwise the bottle wouldn't be empty today given how sleepy the waiter was. Another 5 minutes later the waiter was able to arrange to bring us the dessert menu. There was nothing wrong with the rest of the evening, the dessert or the meal itself was delicious, but with a bill of just under 200 EUR for 2 people, it wasn't outstanding, but rather in line with expectations. In any case, it couldn't help save the evening. The restaurant also has nicer corners, but our place wasn't one of them. Maybe we were just unlucky with our place and the service that evening, but we were very disappointed and will certainly not be coming back.

Absolutely fantastic food that leaves you wanting more and justifies a first, second and third visit alone! The location is also nice, but for my taste it would be even more comfortable with some dim lighting. Service was overall very nice, but could be a little more on point. However, there are deductions for the wine list, which in terms of quantity and quality does not correspond to what you would expect from a "wine bar". More would be possible in every respect, dear Manu team. A pity.

Unfortunately, another restaurant in Munich where there is more appearance than reality. The food is good but overpriced. With a reservation you get a table for four at a table for two. The service was very inattentive and condescending. Unfortunately, a sommelier who tells the guest that he doesn't like Sauvignon Blanc because they are all too fruity and acidic cannot be trusted and is simply unprofessional. The wine selection is not particularly original, all in all not a recommendation.

A culinary experience with excellent service. We recently had the pleasure of visiting Restaurant Manu. to visit and our experience was simply fantastic. From the warm welcome to the farewell, every moment was a pleasure. The ambience of the restaurant is charming and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy the food. But what really made my visit unforgettable was the outstanding service from Valerie, our waitress. Not only was she professional and attentive, but she was also extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine recommendations. Valerie took the time to answer our questions and advise us on starter, main course and wine choices. Their recommendations turned out to be absolutely excellent and suited our tastes perfectly. The wine she recommended harmonized wonderfully with the dishes and rounded off the culinary experience. The quality of the food was exceptional. Each dish was prepared with care and was not only tasty but also visually appealing. From the starter to the main course, every dish was a culinary delight. Overall I recommend the restaurant Manu. highly recommend. The food, the ambience and, above all, Valerie's service made our evening an unforgettable experience. I look forward to coming back soon and enjoying more culinary delights.

Was invited this evening by my daughter and son-in-law. As a lover of good cuisine, they wanted to offer me something very special. The small restaurant welcomes guests with an engaging charm and you feel invited. We were first impressed by the competent service, for us it was Marco, who provided extremely competent and friendly advice. The selected wines also deserve special mention. The menu only offers a few special dishes, so each of us ordered a different one. Every dish impressed with its excellent presentation and taste. For me as a well-traveled connoisseur, an absolute recommendation.

Hello dear Manu team, I don't know how to classify my visit to you. The menu was great. The cuisine is characterized by extravagant dishes that are not served anywhere else. However, the location didn't convince me; wobbly and unequally high tables have no place in a place like this. Unfortunately, the service that day wasn't that great either, information about the menu was insufficient and our glasses often remained empty for a long time. Cheer up, you can definitely do better.

Service, Essen und Ambiente top, kamen spontan vorbei und wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, das Essen und der Wein waren auch sehr gut!

Wirklich ein absolut gelungener Abend, Essen, Ambiente, Wein und Service ließen nichts zu wünschen offen. Man merkt, dass das gesamte Team mit Leidenschaft dabei ist und besonders Linda, die uns an dem Abend begleitet hat, hat wirklich einen wahnsinnig guten Job gemacht. Auf unsere Wünsche bzgl. der Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen wurde super eingegangen. Beim Ambiente darf man nicht erwarten, dass es einem typischen Fine-Dine-Restaurant oder Sterneküche entspricht, es ist durchaus eine Weinbar - hat man das im Kopf, ist es wirklich perfekt. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen und wir kommen sehr gerne bald wieder!

Essen sehr gut. Freundlicher und qualifizierter Service. Essenskarte angenehm klein. TiPP: Wählen Sie à la carte. Die Wartezeiten zwischen den Menugängen sind sehr "ausgedehnt". Weinauswahl und Beratung sehr gut. Offene Weine zu teuer! Ambiente ist sehr unangenehm: Sehr eng gestuhlt. Vier Personen an einem kleinen Bistrotisch ist eine Zumutung. Die kleinen Bistrostühle sind für große Menschen und schwerere Menschen nicht geeignet. Das Lokal ist extrem laut und somit eine Unterhaltung untereinander nur schwer möglich. Bei Anforderung der Rechnung bekamen wir "nur" eine Zwischenrechnung. Das passiert uns leider häufig. Wir denken, dass bei nicht vollbesetzten Lokal alles um einiges Besser ist.

Top Service, leckeres Essen und rundum super!

Die Manu-Bar liegt nahe dem Gärtnerplatz, ist gemütlich eingerichtet und verfügt über eine reservierbare Aussenbestuhlung. Die Speisekarte ist klein aber fein und alles frisch mit Tendenz zur französischen bzw. italienischen Esskultur. Wir aßen u.a. Polpo-Carpaccio, Salat mit Trüffeln, Gnocchi mit Parmesan und Blutwurst mit Rotkohl und Kartoffelbrei. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Eine echte Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt mit Freunden.

Feine Speisen, überaus freundlicher Service

Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of my food but trust me it was really good! You only have a few options per course but it’s high quality ingredients and fresh. The tartar with the papaya and the mountain cheese was delicious and the ox cheeks were tender. They have a wide selection of wines and the service is very friendly and attentive.

Große Weinkarte. Speisekarte klein aber oho, wird durch Tageskarte bereichert. Gerichte sind fein, Hauptzutaten werden mit den restlichen Zutaten gut kombiniert inkl. einige Überraschungselemente. Service aufmerksam, Gerichte werden gut erklärt. Ambiente für die Klasse entspannt und locker. Tische gibt es nicht viele, Reservierung empfohlen.

Essen ist super, Service leider unter Kantinenniveau. Wein kann man selber errätseln, zudem stimmte die Rechnung nicht. In Summe also besser nicht. Schade.

Hervorragendes Essen, aufmerksamer und kompetenter Service in entspannter Umgebung. Das Essen war exzellent angerichtet und es hat richtig Spass gemacht zu schlemmen. Wir haben eine klasse Champagner Empfehlung bekommen von einer pfälzischen Kellerei. Der Kabeljau als auch das Kalb waren auf den Punkt zubereitet. Die Kompositionen sind ein Traum und geschmacklich abgestimmt auf die warme Jahreszeit! Das Ambiente ist ungezwungen und ansprechend. Wir lieben es! Klare Empfehlung. Wir kommen wieder!

Erstaunlich gut! Wir waren Inder Nähe und wollten lecker und etwas besser essen. Echt gute Quali - wir werden wieder kommen.

Sehr schöne Weinbar mit gutem Ambiente. Etwas laut, wenn es richtig voll ist. Leider haben wir die Sardinen als Vorspeise genommen. Geschmacklich ok, aber etwas befremdlich so direkt aus der Dose. Anschließend sind die Geschmacksnerven von der Menge Sardinenöl so belegt, daß man die vorzüglichen Hauptspeisen kaum noch wahrnehmen kann - schade! Von dieser Vorspeise muss man abraten!

Wein&Bar ist hier untertrieben! Das Essen darf man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Insbesondere die vegetarische Vorspeise Tomate/Papadam/Basilikum bringt ein unerwartetes Erlebnis auf die Zunge, das seinesgleichen sucht. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und sehr gut über die Karte informiert! MANU ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen!

Tolles Essen - leider wurde vom Service ein Gang vergessen, der dann aber freundlich ersetzt wurde in Form von Wein.

Interested wine selection, very limited food selection and by no way a 5 star rated place, as by no mean comparable to anything what serves near a 5 rating. It's a place to go, but no excitement to be expected. From that pov highly overrated. Nothing from food to service nor wines is exceeding anything but average.

Absolut Top. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach entspannt. Nichts aufgezwungenes und nicht unangenehm. Das Essen war bei jedem von uns sehr gut. Die Weinbegleitungen waren zu jedem Gang perfekt. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder und können es jedem empfehlen. Vorab Reservierung ist erforderlich.
