Very good food and service. I ordered grilled scallops & asparagus (served with Japanese vodka), waguyu nigiri with fresh truffels (they were exceptional) and sushi 🍣 with wague, salmon, tuna and avocado. All dishes were outstanding. Highly recommended!

After our trip to Japan, we haven't eaten such high-quality sashimi anywhere else. Thank you, it was exceptional 👏🏻

We went to Ukiyo for breakfast. The restaurant is small and very clean, yet cozy. The service is very friendly and accommodating. In addition to brunch until 3 p.m., the menu offers a wide selection of sushi and other dishes. There's also an extensive wine list and many different cocktails. We ordered two brioche sandwiches, and they were brought to us shortly. Both brioches were delicious, and the portion sizes were very generous. We would gladly return again, but we would recommend making a reservation on the weekend.

We had a brioche and a tropical honey bowl. The brioche was incredibly delicious, but the bowl consisted of nothing more than a bit of yogurt, a little fruit, and supermarket granola. Charging €10 for that is outrageous! The music was too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. The hot chocolate was also far too expensive for how small it was.

Ukiyo has become our favorite spot for Japanese food in Munich. We’ve visited many times, and the sushi and service have always been consistently excellent. The prices are on the higher side, but they reflect the quality and attention to detail in every dish. We highly recommend starting with the ribs and trying the Matcha Dreams cocktail. Just keep in mind that this isn’t a place to simply fill up, it’s a restaurant for savoring high-quality sushi and enjoying a thoughtful dining experience.

Best sushi I have had in Munich, hands down. Wonderfully intimate dining experience, perfect for close friends, business partners, dates, or the solo traveller. I had the Miso soup for entre, which was excellently prepared and fast service, which continued throughout the night. To continue, I had the Salmon Mango sushi rolls, which were very fresh and with the perfect level of sweetness. The Hugo spritz was also fantastic, and very refreshing.

We had brunch, and I will definitely recommend it to my friends. The brioche bread is so soft and delicious, and the selection of toppings is fantastic. The eggs Benedict is also perfectly made. Everything was heavenly delicious and definitely reasonably priced. The service was fast, reliable, and very friendly :)

The food was delicious, but the service was so-so. They were quite stressed and seemed inexperienced. They forgot their order, and they assumed they hadn't ordered. We considered this unprofessional. On a Saturday, they were out of some items on the menu, like ice cream and a few other products. There's still room for improvement.

I came here for breakfast with a friend. Delicious and extensive selection of brioche, croissants, pancakes, and egg dishes. It was delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

By far one of the best restaurants my gay partner and I have ever visited. Anyone who enjoys exceptional food should stop by here. 5 stars simply because it's the best you can get. We've been back a second time, and my gay fiancé and I were once again delighted by the incredible hospitality, quality, and overall atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

Very nice vibe and tasty sashimi! I ordered a large sashimi plate that was apparently meant for two because it was so much food! But very tasty. And the sake martini was quite strong as after treating myself to two on a nice summer evening, I was definitely feeling it. On a summer Sunday evening, it was not crowded and I chose to sit at a car height chair overlooking the street as I dined alone. There are fully outdoor seats available as well as bar and regular restaurant seating. Service was a tad slow (my drink came after my meal) but very friendly.

A very stylishly decorated fusion sushi restaurant not far from the Viktualienmarkt. The sushi quality was impressive, and the service was friendly and attentive. It's quite noisy inside, so it's best to reserve a table outside if possible. Prices are quite high. The menu is very extensive and could be a bit more structured. I didn't find any sushi platters with a variety of classic sushi (without fusion). The atmosphere is more friendly than sophisticated. And that's what you'd expect in this price range. If that doesn't bother you, you can't go wrong here.

The service itself is super friendly, there's a nice, upscale ambiance, and the food is "pretty good to look at." However, I was a bit disappointed with the lunch, the Teriyaki Salmon Plate. While the fish was good, the accompanying vegetables, broccoli with carrots and leaf salad with cucumber, left something to be desired. Perhaps they could have added a bit more sauce to prevent the rice from becoming too dry. Therefore, I didn't think the €15 was entirely justified. Would I give this restaurant another chance in the future? Maybe. Overall, though, I only give it 3.5 stars.

Very cutely decorated cafe. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and the food was amazing. But it gets very loud and it‘s hard to have a normal conversation without raising your voice. And the portions were a little bit small. But overall a very good experience. Definitely worth it for the food.

My partner and I went to UKIYO for a Sunday breakfast. We both had the American breakfast that came with bacon, 3 small pancakes, maple syrup, avocado, and scrambled eggs. It was a good-sized portion but still lacked anything special. I do agree with people when they say that UKIYO's breakfasts are a bit on the small side. I would still recommend it though as the breakfast we had was really good!

We went to UKIYO for a Sunday breakfast, and I have to be honest, I wasn't too sure about it due to the fact that most reviews mention small portions at a high price. I had the American breakfast that came with bacon, 3 pancakes, avocado, and scrambled eggs. Personally, it was a good-sized portion for me. The coffee, however, was so small, and I really can't justify €6.60 for a coconut coffee that probably barely reached the 150ml mark. So I do agree with people when they say that UKIYO's prices for the special coffees are a bit high. I would still recommend it though as the breakfast we had was really good!

Food tastes quite good. But there's no point in having a slot for 2 hours if you're ignored all the time, and after just an hour you're left stranded and so encouraged to leave. Sound-absorbing panels would be practical as it is already very loud.

We were there for brunch, the service was okay, we ordered fresh juices, and after 20 minutes we were told they were sold out! The food itself was very good, the service could be improved! Food and drinks came at the same time after half an hour! I think there is still room for improvement... All in all, a delicious brunch and a nice atmosphere!

Loved it. The attention was amazing and the food was delicious. As starters we ordered the avocado salmon tatar and the spicy edamame. As main dishes we had the ocean's bounty roll, the tucrab roll and the tuna & flambéed salmon roll. My favorite was the tucrab roll and my boyfriend’s favorite was the salmon tartar. For dessert we tried the black sesam ice cream and I loved it. Definitely coming back.

We had dinner in the restaurant. The nigiri are unbeatable and are incredibly good quality, as are the cocktails! Unfortunately the ambience was a bit too basic for a bill of €200 for 2 people. The tables were too close together and the background noise was too loud. The service was inattentive and simply cold and impersonal for these prices and the customers. The quality was convincing, but unfortunately everything around it was not!

Nice new Japanese fusion place in Gärtnerplatz. A bit pricey for the meal size and specialty drinks, but the brunch options were decent. Bulgogi sandwich was good 👍🏼 They seem to have a good lunch menu - something to try when I’m back next time.

The food was amazing! I am excited to come back and try their rolls. A little bit noisy because tables are not so far from each other but it is normal in german restaurants. All in all, highly recommend. But do not forget to book in advance!

Small but nice location. You should definitely make a reservation, otherwise all slots will be full. It's a bit cramped and quite loud, but somehow special. The menu is a bit confusing and overall it's on the higher side - but the quality and the food itself make up for it all. That was great! The service is also very friendly and attentive. Absolute recommendation!

We had the pleasure of enjoying the evening there with friends on a Friday evening. The food is really wonderful, the quality of the fish is at the highest level! Simply brilliant. The service is very courteous and happy to accommodate any requests. The ambience is really stylishly decorated. Since the restaurant is quite small, it gets a little louder, but that doesn't necessarily have a negative impact on your stay. However, the size of the table is a little too small for my taste, especially if you order a little more. All in all, a real recommendation if you want to enjoy sushi and other items of the highest quality.

The sourdough bread was far too thin, and the thin avocado cream with what felt like seven eggs, which was too much, and the bacon didn't add any flavor at all. The fruit salad was very good.

The bar was already full at lunchtime... the drinks and food were okay, nothing out of the ordinary... I think a croissant with matcha cream and a bit of fruit for €10.90 is overpriced...

Celebrated here my birthday and went for brunch and this is now on my top list of brunch spots in Munich. They were super nice and even let me bring my own cake to blow the candles. The coconut matcha was absolutely delicious!

Be careful, this restaurant simply deletes bad reviews on Google. Allergens are not listed. Surimi is sold as crab meat. We also got food poisoning after our visit! Addendum to my review: It's disappointing how constructive feedback is handled here. Since my first review was deleted, I'd like to describe my experience again – this time with a comment on the restaurant's response: Deleting Google reviews: The restaurant claims it has no influence on the deletion of reviews. However, the fact is that my first objective review disappeared after I pointed out legitimate grievances. The fact that bad reviews are reported to Google and apparently deleted casts a negative light on the transparency of how customer feedback is handled. Surimi and crab meat: During my visit, it was clearly explained to me that the food was crab meat, but what was actually served was surimi. Even though the restaurant denies this, as a customer, I had the impression that the communication was misleading. Allergens: It is true that I asked about allergens – but after being served food that, as an allergic person, I couldn't eat. It wasn't clearly stated on the menu that a separate allergen list was available upon request. In a modern restaurant, this should be clearly marked and easily accessible to avoid misunderstandings and risks for guests. Food poisoning: After my visit, my partner, and another person who was also in the restaurant that evening experienced clear symptoms of food poisoning. These symptoms were not caused by allergens. It is concerning that the restaurant directly denied this serious feedback instead of thoroughly investigating possible causes. Refund: I politely pointed out the problems during my visit. The server responded professionally and removed some of the food from the bill, for which I am grateful. However, this isn't about money for me; it's about an objective assessment of the quality of the food and the transparency of this restaurant. Why I'm writing this review: Google reviews are an important tool for future guests to know what to expect. My intention isn't defamation or personal gain—just that a restaurant that claims to have "the highest hygiene standards" and "transparency" should be committed to those standards. It's a shame the criticism isn't seen as an opportunity to improve. To future guests: Please check the menu and ask directly about allergens if you plan to eat here. The atmosphere may seem modern, but the experience and service unfortunately didn't impress me.

Excellent food as always, unfortunately the wagyu was out but every piece of sushi is always fresh and truly magical.

Four of us were there for lunch. The food was solid, but not outstanding - we expected a little more based on the reviews. Mayonnaise sauce on sushi is and remains simply an absurdity... But that wouldn't have been at all...much more unpleasant: while we were eating, the door was opened behind us (it was below 10 degrees outside) because apparently the refrigerator outside was broken had to be transported. Since there were several of them, the action lasted a good 15-20 minutes. Every time a refrigerator was outside, the employees lit a cigarette, so that in addition to the cold, smoke drifted into the restaurant. Meanwhile we sat at the table without drinks. Actually, we would have liked to order another coffee, but since we were cold and no one was looking after us, we decided to pay and leave.

The restaurant definitely lives up to your current hype, but that also means: be sure to make a reservation for weekend brunch. Theoretically, the room is a bit too small: the tables are (too) close together, it can be difficult to get through and there is an immense noise level. The employees are courteous and friendly, but some orders were delivered incorrectly, you sometimes had to wait a long time and things seem to be a bit chaotic at peak times. The food is fresh and consistently impressive, although the croissants and croffles are a bit smaller for the price. But the brioche towers convinced everything (recommendation for Hotate Supreme).

We were there for brunch on a Saturday morning. First of all, the restaurant itself, it looks really nice, very cozy, that's definitely great. The food tastes good, no question about it, but I think the value for money is almost a bit too expensive. The service wasn't great for us, we really had to wait for someone to come if we wanted to order something and we had to go to the toilet briefly and came back to our place and our drinks and food had suddenly been put away. We weren't finished yet and we hadn't paid yet. I found it a bit difficult. Maybe we just had a bad day, but given my current feeling I would avoid the visit for now. It was just stupid. But as I said, the food was still tasty, so it might be worth a try. ☺️

The place is well decorated, it does not look crowded of people but it can be very noisy. So if you look for a quiet place this maybe is not for you. I ordered an avocado-eggs-cheese sandwhich for the brunch and a lichy smoothy, really tasty both. They also gave us a limit of 2 h per table .. which on my opinion is tight depending how big is the group. I like to relax not to rush to eat. All in all is a good place to try food and matcha drinks.

We were there for brunch today and unfortunately we weren't convinced. We had a brioche with shrimps (quite good) and the pancakes with caramelized apricots (unfortunately completely cold). Two things were annoying: the 1€ surcharge for oat milk is steep and there is no small glass of water with coffee even when asked, which is absolutely common in other shops. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but unfortunately not worth the hype.

However, I didn't find the price-performance ratio justified here. We paid €90 for two and only had two non-alcoholic drinks. If I want to eat expensive sushi, then definitely somewhere else.

Muesli and croissant with truffles were delicious! The house sauce didn't convince us. The table was shaking and the other table was cleaned upon request. All in all, we would still like to come back.

Decent ambience and dishes are expensive which we knew anyway before we came, so that isn’t a surprise. Now what was surprising was the quantity for the price ratio and that is steep. So not my place again to come back. Two, we had made a reservation and was seated in - me and my friend were still finishing our drinks when the staff asked if we can be seated outside instead because their next reservation was 40 minutes early. They offered one more drink free - but the point was it was pouring outside and the outside tables had cover of course but it wasn’t a comfortable experience to sit out in the cold when we had comfy seating inside until our reservation ended. The free drink isn’t what we wanted but to be able to sit in our reserved table. Safe to say, both of us aren’t coming back again and it’s not worth the prices we pay to not be treated equally. If your guests arrive that early, you politely ask them to come back when it’s their time maybe? But not treat your current guests badly. Not everyone is looking for free coffee to sit out in the cold rainy weather :)

My absolute favorite sushi restaurant! The food is amazing, I've never had such good sushi as here. There is also a great selection of cocktails (also without alcohol). I can particularly recommend the sashimi and the Cosmopolitan. The interior is pretty and elegant and there is a pleasant atmosphere. 10/10 is definitely worth a visit!

The cuisine combines Japanese classic elements with sushi and international, modern influences. Particularly noteworthy is the extensive and innovative menu, which impresses with many exceptional drinks. A special highlight was the Sunday brunch, where many details were taken into account. I had the Brioche Golden Spoon without bacon and it was fantastic. This restaurant comes highly recommended, but reservations are strongly recommended.
