The best Greek restaurant in all of Munich and the surrounding area. Very good, fresh food, very friendly owners, and everything is absolutely top-notch. And good value for money. What more could you want? Highly recommended.

A truly authentic restaurant with excellent cuisine. The owner, as well as his staff, is extremely service-oriented; the value for money is excellent, and in the summer, the restaurant has a fantastic beer garden. Anyone who appreciates good service in a relaxed environment will find this a great place to be.

We wouldn't have been full even if the food had been edible. Even the rice tasted awful. We waited over an hour for the food and 40 minutes to pay. It wasn't busy, which made it even more surprising. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. We wonder where the good reviews come from.

I come to Munich twice a year specifically to enjoy the food and atmosphere at the Taverna. The food is always very varied, and the chef and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoy sitting in the garden when the weather is nice.

We ate at Taverna Kypris and overall we were very satisfied. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The meat was a little tough, but there was plenty of it and the selection was really large. The prices are pretty low for the amount of meat and overall very fair. Only the portion of lamb for €29 was a bit small, but tasted excellent. As a nice gesture, we received a “Napoleon” as a gift at the end. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. We'd love to come back!

Restaurant was pretty full, the music was too quiet, so the ambience wasn't as expected, service was ok, the gyros tasted just like the pan gyros from Lidl :)

I had the great pleasure of experiencing a piece of Greece at this restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine. As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you are on holiday: the warm atmosphere, the tasteful furnishings with a Mediterranean flair and the traditional Greek music immediately put you in the holiday mood. The staff was exceptionally warm and attentive. The hosts welcomed us with a smile and made sure we felt completely at home. Every question about the dishes was answered with joy and competence, and you can immediately tell that the work here is done with passion. The dishes were an absolute highlight. From the classic starters like tzatziki, dolmadakia and freshly baked pita bread to the main courses like moussaka, souvlaki and fresh fish, everything was perfectly prepared. The flavors were authentic, the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were generous. The selection of Greek wines, which went perfectly with the food, was particularly impressive. Another highlight was the dessert – the homemade baklava was to die for, accompanied by a strong, aromatic Greek coffee. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality and the experience. This restaurant is not just a place to eat, but a journey into the culinary diversity of Greece. I will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Greek experience. You smell like the kitchen, probably no ventilation, the food isn't fresh, everything was bought ready-made, you can see this best with the vegetables, everything is cut the same thickness and the same size, it's a shame, the kitchen smell is the worst 😪

Good Greek food. The map is a little smaller than we are used to from the Greeks, but we both found something without any problems. Starter salad was fresh and tasty and gyros on point - not dry - so very good. The furnishings seemed a bit careless. Window sills and dried flowers were dusty, benches were crooked, place mats were not properly aligned but were "slapped down". There was simply a lack of attention to detail here, so only 4☆

Very nice waiter, also very attentive and quick service. The Greek music in the background was great and the food was super tasty and authentic. I also thought it was cool that there were not only the typical dishes but also a few more unusual dishes like grilled artichokes, for example. Really good value for money. At the end there was even ouzo and a dessert, which is no longer a given these days. We'll definitely be back.

Service ok, food okay. Cold starters were very cold and not tempered, otherwise they probably would have tasted better. I doubt it was homemade, more likely from a wholesaler. My conclusion, it used to be great, unfortunately you won't see me again today 🤷‍♀️

A well deserved 5 stars for this authentic greek restaurant in the heart of München. The ambiance, the warm welcome and delicious food bring you back to the old streets of Attica. Appetizers, main dishes and desserts were all delicious and the owner attended our table personally to check our needs. We will surely come back whenever we are visiting Germany.

We really enjoyed the food but it took over 45 minutes for our child and then for us to get our food even later. We were able to place our drinks order after about 20 minutes. It's just because there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant, he was very friendly but he really had to run from table to table and it was very busy even during the week. There was someone who lit the candles on the tables, but he said you should contact the waiter if you have any questions or orders. We will come back because the food was good.

Super recommended restaurant. We had dinner there, and everything was great. We shared two entries and a main dish. The main dish was very big, so one entry should have been enough. The meat was a bit fatty (therefore we didn't eat everything), and when we mentioned it to the owner, he quickly brought us an extra desert and some digestives as a treat. Extremely helpful and kind staff, and super fast service. Place is comfortable and easy to reach. Would surely go again :)

Es gab zu Beginn einen kurzen Stromausfall in der Küche, weshalb die Bestellung verzögert wurde. Das ist aber in der Rezension auch nicht berücksichtigt. Der Kellner war sehr bemüht es hat aber trotzdem sehr lange gedauert, auch bis wir getränke nachbestellen konnten. Das Essen war ok, habe aber auch schon besser bei Griechen gegessen. Alles in allem in Ordnung.
