Typical Bavarian German food, very tasty

A typical beer garden right in the heart of Augsburg. I always enjoy coming here. Beautiful trees. Really cozy. The staff is very friendly, too. Update: It's definitely worth a visit again. Opening hours are regular again, and when the weather is nice, they always have the full selection of good beer garden food. For me, it's still one of the nicest beer gardens in Augsburg.

Shameless and brazen rip-off artists! I ate at this restaurant with my girlfriend's family on July 11, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Because her father always pays for everyone, and I didn't want that, I ordered and paid for my girlfriend and me in advance while her family was still on their way. (We arrived early.) It cost about €45. I rounded up to €50 and asked for the food to be brought along with the others. When everyone was finished eating, the same waiter billed all five people. My girlfriend's father, not knowing that I had already paid for both of us, paid again for everyone and even left at least a €15 tip. When I confronted the waiter about it afterwards, he blatantly lied and claimed I hadn't paid. The total tip was about €20. Why should I have ordered in advance if the others weren't there yet? I know 100% that I paid because I withdrew extra money for it and didn't have it in my wallet afterward. I wasn't offered a receipt, and I didn't ask for one either. That was my mistake in this case. Mistakes happen, but reacting like that and completely blocking me is really cheeky. The waiter (tall, older, dark-haired with an accent) made off with €70. I'll never come back and won't recommend it to anyone! I never take this much time to write a negative review, but this just had to come out!

If only the service were more attentive and the wine less expensive, it would be 4-5 stars. Service: When the service is at the table, everything is good and attentive. However, I had to get up twice to place a follow-up order and pay. Before, I waited a really long time, but no one came. Wine: This restaurant is also participating in the rip-off scheme, charging more than €10 for a 0.2-liter glass of wine. There are plenty of restaurants that are 20-30% cheaper for the same quality wine, and they haven't raised their prices in the last 18 months. 3 stars are very generous here.

The food and service were good. We'd gladly come again. We had a birthday party with 20 people today. It went perfectly.

Albaretto is a truly feel-good restaurant for me. Delicious food, reasonable prices, and exceptionally friendly staff create a thoroughly pleasant atmosphere. The portion sizes are moderate and just right – no overloaded plates, which I really appreciate. It's usually very busy on Sundays, so it's best to make a reservation and expect a bit of a wait. However, this is more than compensated for by the high quality of the food and the always attentive, warm, and cheerful team. Since there's usually no vegetarian option, I choose the fish – and it's sensationally good and easily rivals that of high-end restaurants. Also highly recommended in the afternoon: very tasty cakes and pastries, as well as excellent coffee, espresso, latte, and cappuccino (all also available with oat milk). Perfect for both a quick bite and a leisurely meal.

All-you-can-eat food of the cheapest quality; it seems they've just set up the leftovers from the Edeka butcher counter. Furthermore, one of the servers was very rude and unhelpful when I inquired about a reservation.

Rude staff, an empty buffet, and extremely crowded. They don't care about the customers, only about the money. And the best part: one roll of toilet paper in the restrooms for washing your hands, and it was all full of empty rolls! ✌🏻 The food, however, was tasty and actually okay.

I would like to complain about the bill for my visit today. I only ordered a single mixed grill platter and a plate of kunafa. However, €40 was debited from my account. According to my calculations and the menu, the amount should have been significantly lower. Therefore, I request a clear explanation of how this amount is calculated and a review of the bill.

Unfortunately, it's now permanently closed. I hope a new branch opens in Augsburg soon.

Very nice location at the tennis court, great beer garden. Delicious wood-fired pizzas, large menu, reasonable prices. Always worth a visit.
