The kellerbier was good as was the weissbier, service prompt. It's starkbier time and there was no Dopplebock, VERY disappointing...it should be available.

The crusty roast was very good! The rest is not so great. The cheese spaetzle in particular only tasted like milk and was hardly edible. Even the euro discount, the happy hour, could not be billed for the tasting boards...

The service is trying hard but overwhelmed, the food doesn't even arrive lukewarm and has to be put in the microwave again. Drinks take accordingly. .

I was eating with my husband today, we ordered a starter of greaves, obazda, liverwurst, while we were eating, the main course came and was placed next to us and the waitress simply walked away and said to us as she walked away, the kitchen was faster, my husband had the pike perch with broccoli and boiled potatoes, everything has never seen salt before and the whole broccoli was floating in water on the plate, my crusted roast with red cabbage and 2 Dumplings disaster sauce like water and dumplings saw water for maybe 2 minutes and red cabbage was so dry, when I asked if I could get sauce the waiter came with a sauce pot where the tip had already broken off... is it normal to serve customers something like that.. He was really upset when it came time to pay, I put my in-laws' voucher on the table and instead of bringing the bill, the cellar took the whole voucher to the back and told us yes, it was fine and €4.10 was still on your card???? Like 66 euros were on it as a voucher and my in-laws put 10 euros in like that. He got the 10 out for himself as a tip, he said to me and the rest of 4.10 € are on the card.

I liked the old place better. It got a little impersonal.

Food was good. Ambience also very interesting. The hall must have once been a cinema or theater.

Super dinner in this typical Bavarian restaurant with beer and typical dishes. The place is elegant and refined. Kind and friendly waiters who know how to direct you to the best choice. We ate Wienerschnitzel (small) and chicken fillet with a side of potatoes. Price is normal, they also accept BG vouchers

No, Groten's food was bad for the money. After ordering, the food was on the table in 2 minutes. That says it all! Beer was delicious!

It couldn't be worse. After ordering, the food arrived after 2 minutes. Preheated and carelessly slapped onto the plate. Poor quality and the coarse bratwurst was a beef sausage. The kitchen doesn't even know the difference. Sad. Please give this “brewery” a wide berth

Schlimmer geht's nicht. Nach der Bestellung innerhalb von 2 Minuten das Essen auf dem Tisch. Alles vorgewärmt und auf den Teller geklatscht. Essen unterirdisch und schlechte Qualität. Eine grobe Bratwurst kam als Rindswurst und der Kellner wollte es nicht verstehen. So darf man niemals kochen. Macht bitte einen großen Bogen um dieses " Brauhaus"

Yesterday we were in this restaurant and we are very disappointed. The beer is tasty, but the food is very bad: tasteless, cold and of poor quality. I ordered goulash and for 18 euros I got a portion that didn't correspond to the price, plus it was completely unsalted and unseasoned (I've never eaten something so terrible)! We also ordered steaks with fries - and only a small piece of meat was brought to us, after 10 minutes another piece of steak came extra, apparently the chef had forgotten to put the second steak on the plate. The potato salad is also a nightmare! You can get better salad in the supermarket, although this restaurant positions itself as a restaurant of real Bavarian cuisine. It's strange that such a terrible restaurant is located right in the historic center of a city. (We also witnessed the guests at the next table also being very upset about the extremely poorly prepared food).

Eaten and drank well and cheaply thanks to discount offers. Please keep it up!

I visited the store with my two friends. The waiting time was very long, both until we were allowed to order and until the dishes came to the table. To be fair, it has to be said that the store was very busy and there was obviously a lack of service. The food was well prepared, but I can't say it blew me away. We also had to wait half an hour for the bill. We almost felt sorry for the next guests who were waiting for a free table. Either the business is poorly organized or there is a lack of staff. In any case, you can visit the store, but there are definitely much better alternatives.

Wir waren zu viert dort. Keinem hat das Essen geschmeckt, die Ente war sehr zäh und hätte wahrscheinlich noch locker eine Stunde im Ofen vertragen. Das Holzfällersteak war voller Flachsen und somit total ungenießbar! Das sah man schon auf den ersten Blick, dass das ein ganz billiges Stück Fleisch ist. Innen zudem noch rosa. Die Bedienungen haben entweder sehr schnippisch oder aber gar nicht auf unsere Anmerkungen reagiert. Ich finde eine kleine Nachspeise oder ein Frei-Getränk sollte schon drin sein, wenn es den Gästen so gar nicht geschmeckt hat. „Wir hätten ja ein neues Stück Fleisch bekommen können….“ Da sitze ich dann eine halbe Stunde später allein essend da, wenn schon alle fertig sind. Was für ein Käse! Wir sind früher in der alten Location immer sehr gerne einkehrt. Dort waren wir immer rundum zufrieden, aber so nicht mehr! Wir werden dieses Lokal definitiv nicht mehr besuchen!

Unfortunately, it was more of a disappointment, despite the nice ambience, the food didn't promise traditional inn culture. The meat was rather bland, in my opinion the dark beer sauce had hardly any dark beer aroma and was far too little, but the beer was delicious. As a dessert, apricot dumplings with ice cream without pumpkin seed oil (that's it), despite the very long wait, the dessert was delicious, nice breadcrumbs in cinnamon butter, even if the consistency of the dumplings wasn't very airy, but it was still delicious.

Service very friendly. Food rather lukewarm, very quickly at the table. Unfortunately the meat is too dry (roast roast) The rooms were almost too cold and the toilets smelled unpleasant.

This restaurant does not require a repeat visit. The service was ok. Unfortunately the soup tasteless. And please only go to the toilet after eating. I haven't seen anything like this in a long time. I don't even want to think about what the kitchen looks like.

First of all, on the positive side: the atmosphere is nice and the service was very nice and attentive. There were 7 of us and unfortunately the food wasn't good. Three people had the crusted roast, three had the Swabian pan and my husband had the pork knuckle. Unfortunately the crust was completely rubbery and had to be left on the plate. The dumplings in the dishes (only one small one per plate) were a finished product (at least that's how it tasted and looked). The roast would have had a delicious sauce, but unfortunately everything was swimming in the liquid red cabbage. An extra plate for the cabbage would have been better (it is also served like this in other restaurants). I had the Swabian plate myself. The taste was really okay, but unfortunately it was lukewarm and the meat was already fried quite dry. What actually really shocked me were the toilets. For the ladies, two out of three were broken (the doors) and therefore unusable. There was a really bad smell coming out of the men. Apparently anyone, including those outside, can use the toilets. In my opinion, that's not possible at all for a restaurant. We personally will not be coming back. We didn't find the price/performance ratio appropriate.

First I would like to say that I was disappointed that the King of Flanders was no longer in his old place. Was until 2014 at least visiting twice a year. Anyone who has no comparison says that the new place is nice... but unfortunately there is no comparison to the previous place... what's not good is that the smell of the toilets goes upstairs into the dining room... Now the positive, food is still recommended and the good beer... On our next visit to Augsburg we will probably stop by again and eat in the upper area if possible.

Best place to dine in Augsburg so far. A good variety of authentic German food and very tasty at a reasonable price. We ordered a main and dessert for me and my wife and we spent less than €70 with a few drinks. We recommend the Kässpätzel, it was exceptional. Beer is great, a little lacking in selection, but the helles in particular was very refreshing. The staff were helpful and managed themselves professionally, in spite of our terrible German! We didn’t feel forgotten about even upstairs, they were attentive. Food came surprisingly fast, as it was a busy night for them. Good atmosphere, quite cosy. The dessert menu could have more variety but the portions were large enough that this wasn’t much of a problem for us. As visitors to the country, we recommend this place for an authentic German dining experience. Vielen Dank!

The atmosphere is quite nice, although I liked the old location in the basement much better. The service was friendly, there's nothing to complain about. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. The fried potatoes were dripping with fat and almost inedible. The rest wasn't exactly a burner either. I remembered the King of Flanders much better.

We went to the Christmas party yesterday. 2 colleagues and I had ordered crusted roast, but we received fried wammerl (belly bacon) as a crusted roast!? It was very greasy and hard to eat. Crusty roast is therefore not recommended, the wammerl has nothing to do with a real crusty roast!!! Ambience and service were OK.

Well located in Augsburg. The location itself was nice, but it was very cold and it was drafty the whole time, we sat right in front of the counter. The service wasn't very friendly and it took a long time until we got something. In addition, it was very loud. We agree, we won't come here again.

We discovered the shop by chance during a training course in Augsburg - luckily we got there early because it quickly became full. The ambience, designed like a brewery, is simply impressive and shows a lot of passion. The veal schnitzel with potato salad was outstanding: tender meat and perfectly seasoned. The cellar beer was a real highlight. Absolutely recommended!👍

We had reserved in advance, but we were moved several times because we had a stroller with us and it was always in the way, although we had specified this when making the reservation. But good: found a place, picked up the menu and selected drinks and food. Then the order: there was no more light beer, 4 dishes on the menu were out - beforehand there was no comment from the staff that something wasn't available. The Obatzter starter was very tasty, the main courses simply replaced coleslaw with red cabbage (also without prior information), there was no more mustard, the cheese spaetzle for the child took the longest... The food itself was ok, but we did also eaten better. Despite many mishaps, there was no apologetic reaction from the staff. Overall, a very mixed evening. Next time we would choose a different brewery in Augsburg...

Unfortunately you have to give at least one star. Bad as hell! Waiting forever to hear that the dish is sold out. And this applies to every second guest in our company! Despite reservation! Without an apology!

Cozy despite the large space. Nice service and very good food, apart from the numerous home-made beers. A must to taste.

1. Bier schmeckt grausam, Kellerbier sauer, Weizen und Dunkel trinkbar. 2. Kürbissuppe war heiß und gut, Rouladen in Ordnung, Ente trocken, aber essbar, und dann: Käsespätzle! Eine Schande für Schwaben… und überhaupt. Käse(?!?) war entweder nicht vorhanden oder ohne Geschmack, Zwiebel waren eher eine Süßspeise, zusammen war das kurz gesagt grauenhaft. 3. Toiletten - bei den Herren gerne ohne Klobrille, bei den Damen auch mal ohne Schloss, von zwei Waschbecken funktioniert immerhin eines… 🤢 Allerdings: die Bedienungen waren gut und bemüht. Insgesamt: nächstes mal lieber zu McDonalds🤢

Food and services good. Lunch menu is worth its price. The toilet facilities need to be repaired. The air in the house smells a bit musty. Nevertheless, we are satisfied and will come back.

The Server drank out of our glasses before serving them to us. Exceptionally unprofessional, gross and unhygienic. He immediately put them down when he noticed our table was watching him. The food tasted mediocre at best. The service was slow. Asking for the check was simply alone a task. We finally got the attention of a clearly intoxicated employee, so we could pay and leave this sad excuse of an establishment.

Un sitio muy chévere porque está bien ubicado, y tiene comida bávara, yo solo iba a esa plaza se Ausburg para ir a la Iglesia de la Virgen desatanudos y quería aprovechar para comer algo allí típico. El sitio muy aleman, comida típica, lindo, atención rápida, servicio local, buen precio. La salchicha Alemana estaba bien pero he comido mucho mejores. Lo malo, la mesera que nos atendió en Inglés y le pedimos aclarar algo y nos dijo “pero lo pueden traducir ustedes…. “ muy mal .

We are currently visiting the King of Flanders and have ordered three kinds of snack pots. There were only 4 slices of bread for the three spreads, all of which were cut far too thick. When we ordered bread again there were only 4 slices which were again much too thick, we even had to cut one slice in half. We also ordered a water bottle, it took 15 minutes to get this water bottle. I think there are just too few employees working here, which is why it's taking so long. I hope it gets better over time.

There is no better way to taste German cuisine in the heart of Augsburg. The waitresses were all very warm and attentive, they are real professionals!

For the children there was the clown ice cream which cost 5€ which included a scoop of ice cream and a waffle, the menu said that cream, Smarties and sweets were included, which was not included. The food was actually okay, but the sauce we ordered was missing again. Unfortunately the drink was also brought incorrectly. The waitress was okay and tried to accommodate our requests, but she didn't quite manage to do so. Overall, I will never eat there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

The food was harmonious. The price was completely fine. The toilets are clean. You can also safely change a child there. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. There is currently scaffolding in front of the house. It doesn't bother the ambience as there is a lot to see towards the market.

We specifically ordered 0.3 liters of light beer and received 0.5 liters. We had the same experience the day before in the Stuben Armory. The Stuben Armory probably also belongs to the same owner. There are coincidences.

Food Absolute 10/10, I was already full after the first dish. But it was so delicious without exaggerating that I even ate my friends' food! You don't have to believe me, give it a try and leave a big tip.

Extremely disappointed. We reserved a table for the whole family. My grandpa came from northern Germany specifically to eat a pork knuckle. Not only is the cellar beer gone, the pork knuckle is no longer available either. We canceled the whole thing. No food is allowed to go out at 5:45 p.m., that's absolutely bad planning. Grade 6.

We just wanted to have a quick beer, my non-alcoholic wheat was warm the first time, the glass was the second time with lipstick, the third beer was good cold and the glass was clean. Das Lokal traditionell und sehr lecker. Leider ist es mir vergangen, wo ich die Toilette aufgesucht habe. Sauberkeit? Gibt es nicht. Es riecht wie im Pumahaus. An den Wänden sah es aus als würde man dran pinkeln. Und genauso hat es gerochen . Schade für so ein tolles Restaurant.

Right next to the Mercury fountain, their beers are great, I especially loved the fruchtige gold weisse. The sausage plate was really great, but the schnitzel was okay.

Once and never again. Years ago I was in the other branch, in the basement. I wanted to eat there. But that didn't happen because my drink came in an obviously dirty glass with lipstick residue. The service staff refused to take the drink back and wanted to cash in. I left the restaurant in disbelief and have never entered it again since.

Great location. Really nice staff. It's better to reserve a table because it's busy. The ambience is very nicely designed. The food was super tasty. So the price-performance ratio is absolutely okay. Very varied menu. It was a bit of a shame that there weren't enough desserts on offer, but that didn't add any charm to the visit. Gladly again.

After 30 minutes we asked where our food was. Quote: "There was a mistake in the kitchen and secondly, you didn't make a reservation." Ultimately you need a reservation, spontaneously total overwhelm. The waitress informs the kitchen again about the food. We replied "hopefully it will come soon". Quote from the waitress: “Do you still want the food or go somewhere else?”
