Met here with some friend and was pleasantly surprised by the food and prices. The server was also very funny and made our table laugh quite a few times
We celebrated my parents' birthdays at the Carpe Diem restaurant, and it was absolutely fantastic! The hall where we celebrated was beautifully decorated and had plenty of space for all of our guests. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, no matter what we needed. The prices are very fair, and the food was simply fantastic; no one had the slightest complaint, and everyone was more than satisfied.
The location is perfect, with a lovely terrace and a wonderful ambiance. We would definitely come back here for future celebrations. We especially liked that the building also has a bowling alley, ideal for small celebrations with company or colleagues. The large parking lot was also a plus, as there was enough space for all the cars. All in all, it was simply fantastic!
After a wait of almost two hours, I received a pizza that had actually been made an hour earlier. It was nothing like a fresh pizza.
After calling, I was told to pick up another pizza because apparently there were no more drivers.
I returned it and, lo and behold, all the drivers were there.
And when they told me to put it in the oven for a while and warm it up, I demanded my money and ordered my pizza from a very good pizzeria.
I'll never order from here again.
Not recommended.
I ordered via Uber. The cheeseburger was a joke. The meat patty is so thin, I feel like I have more meat on a salami bun. And then 12.90 for what? Salad without end, sauce, and a maximum of 100g of minced meat. I had to hunt for the thin slice, because it's 150g. No thanks, I'm not ordering any more because I'm still hungry and I spent €20.
A very warm welcome. Extremely delicious food. We had the extensive menu – each course was a poem in itself. The service was always attentive without ever being intrusive. The sommelier, Peter, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. There's no need to single anyone out, as the entire team simply contributed to an unforgettable evening.
Thank you very much.
The restaurant is accepting reservations even though it's closed. The website only features a small, outdated, hidden notice from May 2022. However, you can't see this notice when you open the homepage and see the large reservation button. Why should I rummage through the hidden parts of the site when I can reserve a table there immediately and seemingly easily? One would expect the reservation function to be deactivated if the restaurant doesn't accept reservations at all.
It should also be noted that the reservation has been in place for several weeks; during that time, they could have found the time to inform us. If you, as a customer, feel like you're being taken so seriously in advance, you certainly don't value a visit anymore.
Congratulations on Qilin's fifth "birthday"!
Since the very first day, we've been enthusiastic guests, enjoying the delicious food and drinks.
Our friends, some of whom are from Vietnam, are also impressed by the high quality of the food and drinks and delighted by the very friendly service. When the weather is nice, the outdoor terrace is a lovely place to relax. The restaurant itself has been designed with great attention to detail.
We always enjoy coming back.
Everything is great, keep up the good work!
On Tuesday, I met up with friends for dinner at Spiesswerk.
None of us are from Augsburg. I took it upon myself to find a good restaurant.
After a quick Google search, I came across Spiesswerk:
- easily accessible by car
- food that's anything but ordinary
- good reviews
So, I reserved a table online and off we went.
What can I say? It was a lovely evening with friendly, attentive staff, delicious food (skewers, of course!), and a great atmosphere.
If I'm ever looking for a restaurant in Augsburg again, I'll definitely come back.
If the parking garage across the street also had charging stations, that would be the icing on the cake.
