I only had a drink here. The location is great, perhaps a little loud. However, I've rarely experienced such unfriendly and abrupt staff... what a shame.
Last year, I really enjoyed the food and have been here quite often. However, today was the first time I left the restaurant without eating. The reason for this was because the waitress, a black woman of about 35, was very rude to me. I wanted to order the liver, which they couldn't serve yesterday (Saturday), so I came especially for it today. However, she wasn't happy to answer my questions, and it was evident from the way she spoke to me. She also told me I should speak German, but in reality, I'm a tourist coming to Augsburg for work. I told her that her colleagues had never told me that before and decided to leave the restaurant immediately, as I had lost my appetite. This was extremely unprofessional, and she has no understanding of customer service at all. I like Zipzip, but this was unacceptable!!!!
Definitely one of the best places to eat Asian food in Augsburg. The dishes are well-prepared, using good quality ingredients, and all for a decent price (many lunch dishes can be bought for almost €10).
The place is not really crowded, also during the weekends. The food is being prepared relatively quickly (normally about 5–6 minutes).
I ordered a roast beef with onions. It is really great for the money and tastes very good, but an unfriendly driver couldn't change it and wanted to take the money back to the restaurant and said that you don't pay like that but rather the right amount.
I ordered through Lieferando. After more than half an hour, the order was suddenly canceled. I then called and was asked if I wanted to order. When I asked again about the canceled order, I got the same answer: "What do you want to order?"... never again!
It feels like there's not much meat, so the price is lower than elsewhere. Hygiene is okay, though: the doner bread is shared, and money is collected and handed out without gloves or washing hands. Only cash payments are accepted, and there's no receipt.
