I pre-ordered Pad Thai for pickup today. Super friendly service, the food was ready on time, and it tasted amazing! The portion was large, so I even had a little left over. I'd definitely order again!
I never normally review restaurants, but yesterday's meal was amazing. Absolutely mediocre. A roast beef with onions and a venison saddle tasted better elsewhere, but not as expensive. The 3.5 cm yeast dumpling was good, the pumpkin tart was a disaster (it was sloppy, like old Ihle fare).
Overall, the ambiance was very nice. The service was almost a bit too arrogant. Conclusion: Never again!!
After the renovation, it now looks quite bright and welcoming. The renovation was truly necessary. The parking situation remains simply disastrous; they should have redesigned it as well. Everyone parks where they want and how they want.
On our first visit they kept the restaurant open late to accommodate us. Literally had the place to ourselves and the staff were very patient and did not hurry us at all. Gave excellent food and wine recommendations. No surprise the that we went back again a couple of nights later. Much busier second time but that just gave it a good feel. If we are ever back in Augsburg we will be back at La Boheme.
I was probably just unlucky to order right before closing time. But the food was truly awful. It tasted of nothing, the color was bland, and the ingredients weren't even fried or steamed—just nothing. Extremely disappointed. I can't recommend it at all!

Pleasantly quiet again today with good service.

And when you say something, the server ignores you and tells you there are only two of you.
Why not hire someone else then?
Last year, I really enjoyed the food and have been here quite often. However, today was the first time I left the restaurant without eating. The reason for this was because the waitress, a black woman of about 35, was very rude to me. I wanted to order the liver, which they couldn't serve yesterday (Saturday), so I came especially for it today. However, she wasn't happy to answer my questions, and it was evident from the way she spoke to me. She also told me I should speak German, but in reality, I'm a tourist coming to Augsburg for work. I told her that her colleagues had never told me that before and decided to leave the restaurant immediately, as I had lost my appetite. This was extremely unprofessional, and she has no understanding of customer service at all. I like Zipzip, but this was unacceptable!!!!
