As always, good music and a first-class “at home” feeling. Now also a veteran for Oberhausen. The beer is first class, so bring time and a good foundation... or just eat here, the kitchen is great too.
By the way: the crew keeps an eye on how well the beer worked. Don't feel stupid about it, they're really thinking about it. If they say it's good - believe it, don't argue.
Towboys beware: If someone is hanging on your arm who doesn't fit in “right”, it will be seen. And that's a good thing! So: stay away! Act like your parents did something too...
Again: Thanks for the great location! - Thank you for looking after your guests!
Addendum: Bob’s is now closed.

I pre-ordered Pad Thai for pickup today. Super friendly service, the food was ready on time, and it tasted amazing! The portion was large, so I even had a little left over. I'd definitely order again!
Where else can you get duck for €7 these days, and it's cooked so deliciously, too? We go there regularly and get our fill. I find it a shame that the chef always seems a bit grumpy. As for the ambiance, it's actually okay, but the crowd that often sits there makes it feel like a pub with a rather unwelcome atmosphere. We still enjoy coming back.
A small restaurant with a very stylish ambience. The welcome was warm and pleasantly relaxed. We enjoyed the excellent menu with matching wines. All courses of the menu were delicious, attractively presented, and of very high quality. The accompanying wines complemented the individual dishes perfectly (a look at the well-stocked wine list is also worthwhile). Everything was absolutely wonderful. The service was very attentive and always present without ever being intrusive; it was superbly friendly and accommodating. As was the case throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.
After the first two visits were perfect, we decided to celebrate our birthday at Maximilians with an enjoyable dinner. We had booked a two-night stay at the hotel specifically for this occasion. On the afternoon of our birthday, we returned to our room, which hadn't been cleaned by 2:00 p.m. (considering this is a 5-star hotel). That evening, at 7:30 p.m., we went to the restaurant for dinner. We were shown to our table and placed our orders shortly thereafter. After a good 45 minutes of waiting and half a bottle of wine, we politely asked if our starter had been forgotten. With a platitude of apology, our starters were served five minutes later. The food doesn't allow for criticism. After being served, our wine glasses were regularly refilled. The waitress (I call her that intentionally) didn't notice that we were still waiting for our main course. By then, it was 9:30 p.m., and I had to ask again where our food was. Again, the same rehearsed platitudes. We gratefully declined our food. The evening had little to do with a stay at a 5-star hotel and gourmet restaurant. It felt more like being served by students at the bar next door. The hotel reception gave the same impression, although they listened to our requests in a friendly manner and acted like a trained team. We have already stayed at this hotel and restaurant four times this year. Unfortunately, to date, no one in a position of responsibility has felt the need to contact us. They only stated that no one in charge was present.
That's why I have to write here.
PS: At the slightest hint, the (very young) staff immediately feels offended and communicates this to the guests.
It was my first time, but it was okay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I can't rate the food because it wouldn't be accurate. The dark beer I drank the whole time was cold, and in a good mug.
The Münchner weisswürste were without parsley, lemon and spices.
The Brezn was dry, like sawdust.
First we asked for the bill and we paid. The first bill was electronic so we asked for a bill on paper. When we got it it was 1.60 € too high. We asked to speak to the manager. He was loud and unfriendly and he more or less threw 2€ in my hand and told me to leave.
A cozy restaurant with Augsburg's best pizza. We've been here many times and are always impressed by the food. The pasta from the Parmesan wheel is also a treat and tastes excellent.
After a long break, I'm back there regularly to play badminton, and it's as good as ever. The service is excellent, the courts are top-notch, and the bistro and bar have everything you need.
