Brunchen im Maximilians ist einfach Genuss pur. Vom Ambiente über den hervorragenden Service bis zu dem extrem fantastischen Buffet....einfach toll. Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir haben wunschgemäß ein kuscheliges Plätzchen bekommen. Herzlichen Dank dafür! Essen war toll und abwechslungsreich und auch wertig. Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn sie ein paar Mal öfter vorbei geschaut hätte, aber es war auch so schon top. Jammern auf hohem Niveau. War ein schöner Sonntag Mittag. Einfach Seele baumeln lassen und genießen...

Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Aber leider hat es die Küche nicht geschafft den Rostbraten komplett durchzubraten, wie bei der Bestellung gewünscht. Nach Reklamation hat es dann lange gedauert, bis neu serviert wurde. Aber dafür ein neues Stück Fleisch, dieses war dann perfekt durchgebraten.

Wir hatten eine Entenbrust und einen Zwiebelrostbraten. Beide hatten die gleiche Soße. Etwas mehr Einfallsreichtum bitte. Das Weißwein-Risotto hätte geschmacklich etwas mehr Pfiff vertragen. Ambiente und Service waren top.

Es war Mega Unverschämt! Wir hatten die Reservierung, aber man hat uns und einige weiter Gäste keinen Tisch reserviert, sondern es war komplett überbucht. Man bot uns nur an an der Bar einen Kaffee zu trinken. Nie wieder Maximilians - da wir auch eine Anreise von einer Stunde hatten und uns mit Freunden darauf gefreut hatten!

Mein Mann und ich haben das Restaurant an einem Freitagabend um 18:30 Uhr besucht und beide das Menü mit Weinbegleitung gewählt. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön mit stimmigeBeleuchtung und einem angenehmen Geräuschpegel. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, das Essen eine Augenweide und ein Gaumenschmaus. Zusätzliches Highlight ist natürlich die Show Küche mit den äußerst entspannt wirkenden und professionell agierenden Köchen.

Ganz wunderbar - wir waren dort zum Dinner, anlässlich der Feier eines Geburtstags. Der hervorragende, unaufdringliche Service am Tisch hat uns ganz besonders gefallen. Das Menü (das vegetarisch sowie das nicht-vegetarische) ist eine echte Empfehlung. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Tolle Küche und hervorragender Service - es lohnt sich, rechtzeitig zu reservieren!

Es war wie immer: Von der Reservierung über den Service bis zum super leckeren Essen sind alle Erwartungen erfüllt worden. Es bliebe kein Wunsch offen.

Der Brunch für stolze 65 Euro ist letztlich ein leicht erweitertes typisches gehobenes Hotelfrühstück. 28 Euro und dafür kein Glas Champagner wäre in Ordnung gewesen. Es ist für diesen Preis absolut nicht tragbar, dass nach einer Stunde die Backwarenkörbe überwiegend leer waren und was die Laugenbackwaren bis auf ein Geweih an Brezen anbelangt, so lange wir da waren auch nicht mehr wieder aufgefüllt wurden. Auch das Fischbuffet war nach kürzester Zeit dermassen zerfleddert und leer, dass nur noch der Ruccula auf den Platten lag. Dies blieb ziemlich lange so und zugegebenermassen als wir gingen wurde nochmals nachgefüllt. Aber für diesen Preis hat das Buffet die ganze Zeit appetitlich auszusehen mit einer gewissen Opulenz. Wir sind immerhin in einem 5 Sterne Hotel und rufen wie geschrieben 64 Euro dafür auf. Die Wurst und Käseauswahl war nicht schlecht, aber vollkommen nichts sagende Massenware, genauso die Desserts. Darüberhinaus war eine ziemlich schlechte Musik, was sicher geschmacksabhängig ist, defenitiv und objektiv zu laut, zumindest an unserem Platz. Als Fazit würde ich sagen, für Gäste die nicht sehr viel Reisen bzw. nicht im 4 oder 5 Sterne Niveau kann es nur enttäuschend sein. Das klingt versnobter als es gemeint ist, aber das ist nun mal eine Tatsache, das der Brunch dem Anspruch des Hauses nicht gerecht wird. Es ist ein normales Hotelfrühstück mit ein ein wenig warmer Küche. Für um die 30 Euro vollkommen in Ordnung, aber für dieses Preis ist das Preisleistungsverhältnis nicht in Ordnung.

We stayed at the hotel for two days. The first evening, we ordered dinner and enjoyed almost everything, except they didn't give us the price for the drinks. We only ordered a bottle of water, for which we paid 8 euros. The next day, we went back to the same place for dinner, and this time we ordered 0.5 liters of house wine. Again, they didn't give us the price. Instead, they charged us two glasses at 0.21 each, plus 0.11 liters of wine, for a total of 49 euros. I don't understand this policy.

I never normally review restaurants, but yesterday's meal was amazing. Absolutely mediocre. A roast beef with onions and a venison saddle tasted better elsewhere, but not as expensive. The 3.5 cm yeast dumpling was good, the pumpkin tart was a disaster (it was sloppy, like old Ihle fare). Overall, the ambiance was very nice. The service was almost a bit too arrogant. Conclusion: Never again!!

We were greeted by security personnel with the words, "The restrooms look like shit," don't go in. For us Augsburg residents, it's a shame to see this institution take such a disastrous turn.

Der Besuch im Maximilians hat wieder einmal alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt. Der Besuch war wieder ein Erlebnis. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die Tischdekoration anlässlich unseres Jahrestages. Das Ambiente war wunderbar, die Speisen hervorragend und das Personal freundlich, zuvorkommend und kompetent. Das Champagnerfrphstück ist zu hochpreisig für das was geboten wird. Das geht in so einem Haus sicher besser. Das Essen war ok, aber nicht überragend. Kein Ahornsirup für die Pancakes. Der Service war wie immer erstklassig. Leider können sich manche Göste nicht benehmen. Auch sollte man dem Hause angemessen gekleidet erscheinen. Ja, ist nur Frühstück, aber Birkenstocklatschen und ausgeleierte Jogginghosen gehen gar nicht. Der Sonntagabrunch war hingegeben ein ganz anderes Niveau. Das können wir auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

this restaurant was in our hotel so we decided to give it a go since it’s a Michelin star restaurant we had high hopes for a fabulous dinner ( unfortunately since I did not know the name of the Michelin star restaurant I asked the receptionist to make me a reservation for hotel thinking it was that Michelin star restaurant it’s closed during this period of time and she should’ve told me that language barrier went for dinner at 8 PM. The service was not good. We didn’t get out of there till 10 o’clock. It took a very long time to get our food, the schnitzel was just plate with two pieces of schnitzel on it very unattractive salmon was well placed on a plate it was very good. We also had a salad. I was disappointed. This is supposed to be a Michelin restaurant and the service and the presentation wasn’t what I expected. I realize that this was not the Michelin star restaurant I had asked to go to, unfortunately too late to do anything about it. there is a language barrier for me so disappointed. The Michelin star restaurant has been closed for this summer holiday. Again, it was my own problem because I didn’t explain which one I didn't know there was two in this hotel This was basically the hotel restaurant.

We had high expectations for the Sunday brunch at Maximilians, especially since it's not exactly cheap at €59.00 per person. Unfortunately, these expectations were only partially met. The menu selection was quite extensive, but lacked any notable highlights. Many dishes seemed like simple, standard fare, some of which were made from convenience products. The fruit salad and fruit garnish were already very mushy, which was neither appetizing nor appropriate for the price. The egg dishes also showed little creativity. Initially, they were prepared with a bit of love, but later there was only a simple omelet and fried egg. A Kaiserschmarrn served later was solid, but not a culinary highlight. A real negative point was the cappuccino. In a 5-star hotel, I expect high-quality coffee from a portafilter machine. Here, however, it came from a fully automatic machine and was unfortunately disappointing in terms of taste. The service was fine, nothing more and nothing less. While the ambiance inside is very appealing, it was uncomfortably warm. It was also disturbing that kitchen staff were later standing behind the buffet with sandwiches. In my opinion, that doesn't suit a hotel of this category. The bottom line is that a good 3- to 4-star hotel often offers a comparable breakfast buffet for around €20.00. For €59.00 per person, I expect significantly more quality, freshness, and care. Conclusion: For me, the Sunday brunch at Maximilians was a huge disappointment. Next time, I'd rather choose a smaller, less commercial location with better cappuccino and more lovingly prepared food. One tip is Mariandl's Hofcafé in Dasing. There, you'll probably pay between €30-40.00 per person, but you get a pleasant atmosphere and quality that matches the price.

Highly recommended. Went to lunch with clients today; we were a bit late (1:45 p.m.). The very friendly waitress informed us that the kitchen closes at 2:00 p.m. and that she had to take our orders by then. However, no restrictions; the entire menu was available. We had two of the catch of the day (sea bass today) at an unbeatable price and one Caesar salad. Served after about 15 minutes. Beautifully presented and delicious—as expected from a restaurant in a hotel of this category. The ambiance was also top-notch—a successful combination of classy/chic and typically Bavarian. Clearly recommended for any occasion, very representative (ambience/service/cuisine).

After the first two visits were perfect, we decided to celebrate our birthday at Maximilians with an enjoyable dinner. We had booked a two-night stay at the hotel specifically for this occasion. On the afternoon of our birthday, we returned to our room, which hadn't been cleaned by 2:00 p.m. (considering this is a 5-star hotel). That evening, at 7:30 p.m., we went to the restaurant for dinner. We were shown to our table and placed our orders shortly thereafter. After a good 45 minutes of waiting and half a bottle of wine, we politely asked if our starter had been forgotten. With a platitude of apology, our starters were served five minutes later. The food doesn't allow for criticism. After being served, our wine glasses were regularly refilled. The waitress (I call her that intentionally) didn't notice that we were still waiting for our main course. By then, it was 9:30 p.m., and I had to ask again where our food was. Again, the same rehearsed platitudes. We gratefully declined our food. The evening had little to do with a stay at a 5-star hotel and gourmet restaurant. It felt more like being served by students at the bar next door. The hotel reception gave the same impression, although they listened to our requests in a friendly manner and acted like a trained team. We have already stayed at this hotel and restaurant four times this year. Unfortunately, to date, no one in a position of responsibility has felt the need to contact us. They only stated that no one in charge was present. That's why I have to write here. PS: At the slightest hint, the (very young) staff immediately feels offended and communicates this to the guests.

Wir waren schon oft im Maximilian‘s und wurden bislang noch nicht enttäuscht. Dieses Mal jedoch hatten wir eine sehr verpeilte Bedienung und ein schöner Abend hätte sehr schnell umkippen können. Wir hatten 1,5 Stunden nach Ankunft immer noch keine Vorspeise. Statt dessen wollte die Bedienung uns immer wieder Wein nachschenken, der ja eigentlich als Begleitung zum Essen vorgesehen war. Erst auf unsere Nachfrage hatte die Bedienung in der Küche nach dem Essen gefragt und uns dann mitgeteilt, dass es vergessen wurde. Von wem wissen wir nicht, ist auch unerheblich, da die Mannschaft als Team arbeiten soll. Das bestellte Beef Tartar war dann leider gänzlich ungewürzt ☹️, die die anderen Vorspeisen waren gut. Auf die Hauptspeise mussten wir dann nicht mehr soo lange warten, aber doch schon eine Weile. Auch hier hat die Bedienung versucht, uns die Wartezeit duch viel Wein zu verkürzen, was natürlich nicht akzeptabel war. Diese Situation hätte man sich auch nicht mehr „schöntrinken“ können, falls das die Absicht der Bedienung war. Es gab dann noch eine Nachspeise und Espresso. Bei einem Rechnungsbetrag von ca. 550€ für 4 Personen hätte ich angesichts der Pannen erwartet, dass zumindest der Espresso aufs Haus geht. Weit gefehlt. Beim Gehen hat man uns dafür aber die Tür aufgehalten. Sobald kommen also nicht wieder.

Wir waren zum Champagner-Frühstück. Sehr ansprechendes Buffet mit großer Auswahl, einer Live-Cooking-Station für verschiedene Ei-Spezialitäten und Pancakes, frisches Obst und frisch gepressten Säften. Der Service war jederzeit aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Ambiente modern-elegant. Gerne wieder!

We have dined at Maximilian's a few times and have enjoyed every meal. We took a friend for his birthday, and server Lisa Fediuk was somewhat new at the time. She was nevertheless charming, warm, and was able to explain the menu very well. About one year later later, we went there with my sister and brother-in-law, who are not German speakers, and she was once again our server! Her English was fantastic and her service skills had become even smoother and more refined. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We truly felt attended to and care for!

Fantastischer Lunch mit zuvorkommendem Service, der stets bemüht war, ein schönes Ergebnis zu liefern. Die Speisen waren geschmacklich top abgeschmeckt und auch die Anrichteweise hat überzeugt. Kritikpunkt wären hier einzig einige Gräten im Fischfilet - aber das passiert und schmälert den Gesamteindruck nur minimal. Wir kommenden gerne wieder! Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen und die aufgerufenen Preise mehr als Fair. Insbesondere der Catch of the Day ist mit 19€ bei der überragenden Qualität sehr empfehlenswert.

After a concert as part of the Mozart Festival, our visit to Maximilian°s proved to be another highlight of the evening. The guinea fowl breast stuffed with a tarragon farce was still slightly pink and extremely tender. The grilled veal spaillard with gremolata also brought a satisfied smile. Dessert was a must. The Piña Colada-Savarin tasted excellent and harmonized beautifully with the recommended Sauvignon, whose cassis notes picked up the pineapple aroma of the dessert. The berries with the zabaione and lime sorbet were surprisingly fresh and went well with the also recommended Riesling. The service was very professional, sophisticated and attentive, yet warm and relaxed. We felt extremely well looked after and can also confidently recommend the knowledge of the service staff in selecting the wine. We'll be back!

My wife and I visited your restaurant for the first time. From the very beginning, our visit to this restaurant was a complete success. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and served courteously. The atmosphere was stylish, yet pleasantly relaxed—just the right mix to feel at home. The food was a true highlight: Each course was prepared with great attention to detail, perfectly balanced in flavor, and of the highest quality. I would particularly like to highlight the freshness of the ingredients and the creative presentation of the dishes. The service also left nothing to be desired—attentive, friendly, and professional, without being intrusive. All in all, a wonderful experience that leaves us wanting more. We stayed at the hotel for one night with our baby. The rooms are nice, but they're extremely noisy. We could hardly sleep at night. At 7 p.m., the hallway was vacuumed again, loudly (the baby is already asleep at that time). The mattresses are very soft. We personally like privacy in the bathroom, which isn't possible with sliding glass doors. The positive thing about the rooms was that they were clean and everything was there for the baby. The baby monitor on the tablet didn't work so well, especially the night vision. We ate and had a drink in the bar. The cocktails were good, but the food wasn't.

Simply great - this was my second time at Maximilian's and I was absolutely thrilled again. I was particularly impressed by the team's attentiveness: they noticed that I had a dog with me - and there was already a doily and fresh water at the table. This small but very personal service made the visit special for me. Furthermore, the service was consistently warm, professional and very attentive - without being intrusive. You feel completely welcome and valued. The food was, as always, of a high standard, with delicate flavors and beautiful presentation. A place where hospitality is truly lived. I would love to come back!

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Besuch in diesem Restaurant! Die Bedienung war nicht nur ausgesprochen freundlich, sondern auch sehr kompetent – man fühlte sich rundum bestens betreut. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch, besonders das Wiener Schnitzel hat mich absolut begeistert. Es war zart, knusprig und geschmacklich wirklich das Beste, das ich je probiert habe. Dazu kommt das sehr schöne Ambiente, das zum Verweilen und Genießen einlädt. Alles in allem ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, das ich jedem nur empfehlen kann!

We spent a very nice evening at Maximilian's. The atmosphere is very pleasant, cozy despite the full restaurant. The service from André Maier was excellent, present but reserved with good recommendations. Very nice wine selection, the food was excellent in keeping with the price and served with an experience factor (herbal soup). Absolute recommendations are the tartar from the Lake Constance heifer and the Black Angus short rib. Eating with fun.

Incredibly good service, very attentive and friendly staff! The cream of asparagus soup was delicious but a bit too greasy due to the wild garlic oil, the corn-fed chicken breast was delicious, and the mashed potatoes served with it were unfortunately a bit bland. But all in all, highly recommended!

Herzlichen Dank für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Leider war unser Zeitfenster durch einen geplanten Theaterbesuch begrenzt, sodass wir den kulinarischen Genuss nur in aller Kürze erleben konnten. Das Personal war ausgesprochen professionell, herzlich, humorvoll und hat uns großartig unterstützt, damit wir pünktlich weiterkonnten. Das Essen war hervorragend – alle fünf Gerichte waren köstlich, und die Garpunkte der Rindfleischgerichte entsprachen exakt unseren Wünschen. Beim nächsten Besuch nehmen wir uns definitiv mehr Zeit, um das großartige Angebot voll auszukosten. Ein herzliches “Vergelt’s Gott” und “Servus” – bis bald!

I've been to Maximilians for brunch several times, about 2-3 times a year for many years... always great food, which is never the same. Despite the many guests, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is attentive and very friendly. Before brunch, it is also very nice to enjoy a glass of champagne or coffee in the bar or lounge area. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. I'm looking forward to the next visit.

Went to a birthday brunch again with 5 friends. Unbeatably good. First I emptied a bottle of Geldermann, then calmly went to the buffet, excellent, something for everyone (a lot of something). Attentive service, poppy and yet conversation at the table is no problem. Absolutely recommended.

My wife and I spent our Valentine's Day at Maximilians and were able to enjoy a three-course meal. The food was delicious and the service absolutely outstanding. The waiter was very accommodating. The ambience is also very nice. A very relaxed atmosphere. The music was at the perfect volume. We'll definitely be back.

The service from Mr. M. was excellent, extremely friendly and very competent. He introduced us to the wines and dishes in detail and his enjoyment of high-quality cuisine also impressed the guests. Extensive breakfast buffet, friendly service and a varied and seasonal evening menu at a high level

I recently had the opportunity to visit Maximilians Restaurant in Augsburg and here is my impression. Starter: We started with the Vitello Tonnato. It was well prepared, the veal was tender and the tuna sauce went well with it. Main course: For the main course we had the Viennese veal schnitzel and the grilled veal flank steak. The schnitzel was crispy and the meat was juicy, which was very pleasant. The flank steak was also well grilled and had a nice flavor. Both dishes were neatly prepared. Dessert: For dessert we chose the Moelleux au Chocolat and the burnt crème. The chocolate cake was warm and melted in the mouth, while the burnt cream had a pleasant sweetness. Wine: We had an Amarone with it, which went well with the food. The wine selection at Maximilians is appealing. Overall, our visit to Maximilians Restaurant was pleasant. The audience was a bit older, probably due to the prices. But you get a very good deal for your money. The service was very good and the atmosphere was cozy. It's a good restaurant for a fine meal in Augsburg without seeming out of touch. An online reservation is recommended.

My husband made a reservation here for the first time today. I have always been very passionate about food and was very excited about the visit. At the entrance we were greeted very warmly and politely asked if we would like to leave our coats in the cloakroom. We were shown to our table, which was reserved specifically for us. The table was clean and neatly set, fresh bread (excellent by the way - I love good bread), salted butter and olives were already ready. We were given good advice about our desire for a good Cremant and my husband tasted it before it was finally poured. We chose a Cremant Rose, which not only went well as an aperitif but also went well with veal and fish. In our opinion ;-) My husband chose a classic Viennese veal schnitzel. Cranberries, buttered potatoes and cucumber salad were served with this. The portion was unexpectedly generous. The breading was perfectly battered, adhered very well to the meat, was very crispy and evenly browned in clarified butter. I was allowed to try it and was pleased that with such tender meat, as with the other side dishes, the natural taste of the great quality was not over-seasoned. Nowadays, people only perceive things as good if they taste like all kinds of spices but no longer like natural products. I got catfish fillet, champagne cabbage, mushroom puree, winter truffles and beurre blance (a foamed sauce with a fine consistency and a powerfully rich brown butter taste). The fish was of course boneless, not dry, perfectly cooked yet shiny inside. Not over-salted and had a subtle taste of its own. The sauce was outrageous and I was glad I had an extra spoon for utensils. The dessert shined once again with an excellent choice of chocolate for the chocolate cake with a liquid center. It melted in your mouth, warm and wonderfully chocolaty. Our waiter was also happy to tell me which chocolate it was. There was also pistachio cream, citrus fruit salad and an outstandingly tangy mandarin sorbet. I would like to point out that since we both look very young, we were often not treated well in restaurants. Here we were served very courteously, received expert advice and were able to fully enjoy the food and our time in the restaurant. Cooking at this level is extremely hard work!!! This is about more than just taste. This is about the perfect cooking time, perfectly bound, shiny sauce, velvety sorbet without crystals, chocolate cakes with the ultimate chocolaty taste and melt. Simply culinary art and fun with pure, clean taste. To anyone who just wants to be full and values ​​quantity more than clean kitchen art, quality and pure taste, I recommend: go somewhere else! We felt very comfortable and would love to come back. Warm greetings to our friendly, courteous specialist who served us.

A truly wonderful stay. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, the staff were delightful, the rooms were the definition of luxury and the food/drink superb. Cannot wait to visit again!

Very solid, very fine food. Fine wines with great advice. Fully booked on Saturday evening and therefore quite loud. In this respect, the ambience is 'only' 4/5.

The food was excellent. In addition to the great dishes, we were particularly impressed by the side spinach. The map is clear but everyone found something without any problem. The service was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is very nice. The only small downside was that the waiting time for drinks and food was relatively long because the restaurant was completely full, but we were informed of this in advance.
