After several visits I find that this restaurant doesn't get the attention it deserves when it comes to food. The fennel orange salad today was perfect, the pizza with spicy sausage, cheese and rocket as well as the vegetarian pizza were a treat for the palate and the limoncello that was served with the bill had a round, natural taste. The ambience could certainly be improved, but if your main concern is the food, this is a good place for you.
We generally felt comfortable on our visits. The food was always good, and the service was friendly. Unfortunately, yesterday we were turned away for the second and final time because it was a "private party." Guests can't predict when they are "allowed" to visit the restaurant and when their visit is not welcome! What annoyed us most was the condescending arrogance of the lady and gentleman (apparently the organizers of yesterday's event), who vehemently and with an eye-roll expelled us from the restaurant. "...private parties only."
Very unfortunate for the friendly restaurant owner, but with such rude behavior from some organizers, we—as repeatedly alienated guests—will not be coming again.
We looked out for a nice dining in Cologne and discovered Prunier, a restaurant we known from Paris. We decided to book a table and went for dinner. The place is not far from the cathedral and is very nice. It is very small but cosy.
Their speciality is caviar. We had a nice portion as a starter. It was served with small lemon pancakes (blini’s), sour cream and chives. It was delicious.
As a main dish, my partner had a steak Rossini, with a niece piece of baked duck liver on top. I had the fresh made linguini with caviar. No words about it.
This restaurant is the place to be in Cologne.

We have been going there regularly for about 3 years now and we are always very satisfied. The food is very good and the service is perfect. We are very satisfied and look forward to the summer when we can sit on the terrace again.
Only the AB could be reached by phone to make the reservation. I reserved the table via AB asking for confirmation. Since there was no call, I called again. No, a reservation via
AB is not possible. Aha..... So I made another personal reservation by phone, 6.30 p.m. was not possible for some unknown reason, so 6 p.m.
When we came to the restaurant at 6 p.m., we were the only guests, and half an hour later there were only three tables occupied. The greeting from the kitchen came at the same time as the starter...well. Plus 4 thin slices of mixed bread, which doesn't fit at all. The mixed fish platters were generous, but only lukewarm and quite oily.
The espresso, on the other hand, was a delight, really hot and delicious.
Unfortunately, the limoncello on the house didn't really compensate for the remaining mediocrity.

Unfortunately, total disappointment. Open according to Google. However closed. Drove there for an extra 25 minutes and was happy. Then at the restaurant, no information. Annoying, we could have saved ourselves the trip.
