I ordered from Leverkusen via Wolt and I have to honestly say it's one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The price/performance ratio is also excellent. And the best part: it arrived piping hot, even though it was 15 km away.
The food tastes good, but the service is very slow, even just to take drink orders, despite the restaurant not appearing busy. The menu on the website is inaccurate in terms of prices, and not all dishes are available, including spaghetti Bolognese.
A lovely brewery with delicious beer. We stopped here after the Christmas market. When we had still some beer in our glasses during the last round, we were kicked out, which wasn't nice.
Delicious, but now priced at restaurant levels – almost too expensive for a snack bar. Even Moto Kitchen and Mr. Tran aren't more expensive, or even cheaper (for takeaway).
The most low quality food I ever tried, just fancy and nice. Chicken is just a protein mix not chicken breast.
Never recommend to nobody
Just commercial place in city center
Overpriced
Fine dining, but without the intimidation factor
Chesa Rössli has been a go-to spot for me for years and is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. I go there regularly and have even celebrated special occasions there – from relaxed business lunches to birthdays. What I appreciate so much about it is that while it's fine dining, it's not just the "suit and tie" kind. You feel welcome, even if you just show up dressed casually, and there's absolutely no pretentiousness. Please come as you are. Just sit down and enjoy.
From a culinary perspective, it's always an experience. The dishes that Daniel Groß puts on the plate aren't just "very good," but often truly surprising: exciting combinations, perfectly balanced flavors, and details that make you pause for a moment because you realize how much skill went into them. It's precisely these evenings when, after the first bite, you think: "Okay, delicious – but I've never been there before!" – in the best possible way. You discover new nuances and realize that your palate is capable of so much more – and deserves it! – than you usually demand of it in everyday life.
I particularly recommend the set menus, as they offer a wonderful immersion into the chef's signature style. And considering the high quality and creativity of the cooking, I find the price-performance ratio truly fair – especially compared to other restaurants operating at a similar level, which often charge exorbitant prices for their Michelin stars. If you want to "try out" Chesa Rössli, the set menus are, in my opinion, the best way to start, as you can experience the variety and quality of several perfectly balanced courses without any pressure.
The atmosphere is also a real plus, depending on the season. In winter, the interior is pleasantly cozy – warm, quiet, and inviting by the fireplace, creating an ambiance that makes you want to linger. In summer, the terrace is a dream: sitting outside, enjoying the evening, taking your time – drinks can be selected from Chesa's extensive wine list or the Mövenpick bar: simply Münster at its best.
If you want to "try out" Chesa Rössli, the set menus are the perfect starting point, as you can enjoy them from the extensive wine list at Chesa or the Mövenpick bar. And another point that matters a lot to me personally: dogs are allowed and are treated with genuine kindness. No eye-rolling, no "reluctantly," but rather a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere – you don't find that everywhere, especially not in restaurants of this caliber. Woof! – says my dachshund!
The bottom line: top-notch cuisine, a relaxed ambiance, and Michael Gutzeit and his team always ensure that you feel comfortable. For me, it's a perfect experience every time – and definitely a place I'll be returning to.
Very friendly, down-to-earth, and uncomplicated. You are well looked after. Even special requests (e.g., very late arrival) are handled without any fuss.
Very good, plentiful breakfast.
Thank you very much – I will book again soon.
Ohne Reservierung einen Tisch bekommen.
Nettes und gesprächiges Personal. Essen sehr lecker. Meine Empfehlung: die Fischbrötchen und eine lecker Haake Beck.. Und die Kartoffel Dippers als Vorspeise..
