It was okay. I found the meat a bit dry. It's edible, but it wouldn't be anything special. It looks pretty decent and didn't taste terrible. The staff did their job. There's not much to say about the ambiance. It's just a food truck, and in a filthy place, there's not much you can do, and it's not important anyway.
Perhaps the mistake was visiting it less than a week after our Malaysian holiday, still caught up in the Malaysian euphoria. The portions were okay, but not great, and the taste was just okay. The prices, however, were very high. Of course, I can't expect a dish to cost exactly €2 like in Malaysia, but €17 for a bit of rice with a chicken breast in peanut sauce seemed extremely expensive. Especially since it tasted at least twice as good in Malaysia. In the end, we paid €35 per person, excluding alcohol (which they don't have there) and one or two drinks per person. The service was very friendly, but couldn't salvage the experience. All in all, I found it disappointing for the price.
Why did you have to close? It was by far the best place. I ordered from there regularly and was never disappointed. Top service, top food, everything. They were always great to eat in, too.
I agree with the other reviewers:
Really delicious and very friendly.
You can sit over by the bakery.
Since I've realized once again that I can't eat a double burger without making a mess, next time I'll bring wet wipes 😊
I'm absolutely blown away by how good the food at Taym was. I was visiting a friend and we ate there. I had a pizza bread with doner meat and a pide. The pide was already amazing, but then the pizza bread arrived.
The pizza bread had a generous amount of garlic, was perfectly crispy, and everything tasted fresh. I think it was the most delicious thing I've eaten this year. Hats off to them! 🙏
