Restaurant tip: MEKONG am Bach in Memmingen The MEKONG am Bach is idyllically located in the old town of Memmingen directly on the stream and impresses with a charming mix of cozy ambience and Vietnamese flair - both indoors and outdoors. The loving furnishings with artfully painted murals and decorative details from Vietnam immediately create a pleasant atmosphere. The host and cook look after the guests warmly and with real dedication. The menu is extensive and offers a wide selection: from vegetarian dishes to chicken, duck, beef, pork and fish to popular classics such as spring rolls, there is something for every taste. My personal tip: the Tom Kha Gai soup – with either shrimp or chicken. Simply a must! Families with children are also in good hands here - there is a special children's menu with suitable dishes, even spaetzle. Particularly noteworthy is the freshness of the ingredients - the vegetables are crunchy, the mushrooms are fresh - and all at surprisingly affordable prices. Conclusion: A real insider tip in Memmingen! I'd love to come back.

Very tasty food. We have been here 3 times already and the food quality is consistently good. Most dishes also come with some beautiful decoration - we really appreciated how veggies and fruit were cut into nice shapes!

Solid Asian restaurant with delicious food for your lunch break or to take away. The ambience is a bit dark and simple - the real flowers mean you can still sit quite comfortably for a snack. The selection of dishes is clear and offers enough variations - the food is freshly prepared behind the counter and visible to the guest. My portion of “Number 47 – Beef with vegetables and dark sauce” came quickly to the table, was hot and tasted great. The price is not cheap at €12.90 for lunch, but still within reason. A 0.5l drink costs €3.50. Various spices and sauces are also available on the tables for seasoning. The lady in service was friendly and attentive and also asked if the food was tasty! Overall a good place for a quick and tasty Asian lunch or take-away. Clear recommendation from me! - Card payment possible!

We were there for lunch. They had a more affordable menu with a drink, starter, and main course for a reasonable price. The food was good but nothing exceptional; the portions were just right. The beef was unfortunately a bit dry, but overall, the overall offering was quite good. The place is good for a quick lunch. Parking was a bit difficult to find.

I visited this Vietnamese restaurant with a friend. I ordered sushi, and she had a noodle bowl. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn't particularly good – the rice was very sticky, and the dish wasn't very flavorful. Next to the kitchen entrance is a counter that was constantly busy. Employees were running back and forth, presumably preparing orders. This commotion was disruptive and spoiled the otherwise cozy atmosphere. There was only one waitress serving in the entire dining room, who tried hard but was clearly overworked – this was also noticeable in the wait time. A real drawback was the restroom area. It's located in the basement and is only accessible via the storage area. You have to walk past boxes and cleaning supplies to get to the very narrow restrooms. The stalls are small, with hardly any room to move, and the washroom area is also tiny. It would be very uncomfortable for taller people. Overall, the visit left a mixed impression. Not a complete flop, but a place I wouldn't visit again.

Very tasty food. Unfortunately, the service was hopelessly overloaded during our visit and we had to wait 90 minutes for the starter. Next time it will be better.... 😉
