We chose Aroi because our regular restaurant in Zirndorf was closed. (Despite 16 years of going there, we forgot that it was closed on Saturdays.) Based on the many positive reviews, we decided to give it a try. However, it turns out that online reviews aren't always informative. Our order was taken promptly, but we encountered initial problems right away: Of the three starters we ordered, only two were served – the third was simply forgotten. The main courses, fried noodles and red curry, took almost an hour to arrive. Long waits are generally not a problem for us, as we often associate them with high quality and fresh ingredients. In this case, however, our expectations were even higher – and unfortunately, they weren't met. When the dishes were finally served, the first thing we noticed was the inconsistent tableware. It seemed as if they had to improvise, as no matching plates were available. Given the long wait, the portions were surprisingly small. Which doesn't justify the price. The dishes didn't impress anyone in our group in terms of taste. Of course, tastes differ, but given the many positive reviews, we can't understand the enthusiasm for this restaurant. We wouldn't recommend it and won't eat there again.

The furnishings are very simple and unfortunately not as nice as their predecessors. The tables are very small and do not invite you to stay for a long time. Groups with more than four people or an additional person with walking difficulties are at a clear disadvantage here. Unfortunately, the current boss wasn't very accommodating; the financial advantage seems to take precedence over the customer's wishes. The food didn't come, so I can't say whether that was lucky.

We had dinner there again yesterday with friends and, as always, the food and service were the best. Always brilliant and excellent food for many years. It is always freshly prepared, top quality. Very warm and lovely hosts.

Very good taste of the individual dishes. Lightly to super spicy. Everything is possible for your own favorite level of spiciness. Fresh ingredients with lots of original products from Southeast Asia and more. They are all available in the associated World Bazaar in the corner building next door, if you ever feel like cooking something at home. And the dishes are also very well packaged for take-away. Tip: Take 3-4 different dishes with you for 2 people and enjoy them. You can also try out individual curry dishes at home and compare them until you find your favorite dish. So far they have all been very tasty and delicious. I just don't dare try the very spicy dishes that I request. 😊

A beautiful restaurant decorated in Thai style. With lovely service and excellent food. The papaya salad is highly recommended. All very child friendly.
