We went there last week while we were visiting some friends in Lindau🫶 They were super fast with the service, super nice, and the food was delicious 🤤. Highly recommend!

Very very tasty and everyone was very nice!!!! Like now in winter, there is a bit of a draft in the old town houses. I would be happy about 2 degrees more or blankets. We always like to come back!

I was there on December 26th, 2024 at 12 p.m., many tables were already reserved, but there was still enough space for us. I have to praise the service for its warmth and the relaxed atmosphere and attractive interior design. Then the food was of high quality, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, the chicken in my soup was juicy and the tofu was very tasty. More than half of the dishes are spicy and I can confirm that, but I still recommend that anyone who can tolerate spiciness take something with red curry. In addition to the spiciness, the curry was also pleasantly sour, fresh and light. Simply delicious and overall very good for warming up. That's why the price is a little higher, but in my opinion it's justified.

Was craving spicy and they delivered! Was expecting a bland version to accommodate the German palate but we got just the opposite. Full spice (🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, full flavour. And the staff was very friendly :)

Great food but it’s a bit pity that the curry menus are mostly spicy not optimized for people who can’t handle spicy food. The Papaya Salat is pretty delicious👍 The Desert: cooked banana in coconut milk - the coco milk is a bit watery but it tastes good.

I expected more based on the good reviews. A cold wind constantly blew through our table. The food wasn't great at first and now I'm in bed with food poisoning.

Yesterday I went to the restaurant briefly to ask if I could use the toilet quickly. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, it was so nice. The food on the tables looked great. The bathroom was super spacious and beautiful. When we're in Lindau again, we'll come for dinner. Thank you very much for your nice hospitality.

There was hardly any meat in it and I paid just under 18 euros for it... unfortunately I didn't look inside until I got home. In terms of taste, it's usually nothing special... Never again!

A beautiful downtown location in Lindau. Surrounded by a unique western architectural complex, the public and private cars are easily accessible. Ample dining tables, but recommended to make a reservation at lunch. The restaurant is a mix of Thai art and European art. The room is clean, the atmosphere is friendly, the staff is smiling. The taste of the food is so authentic Thai that it makes you have to go back and tell it. 🙏 Thank you very much for the delicious food and will definitely go back to it again.

We entered without any expectations and the food was really good, the padthai was similar to the ones we had at Bangkok and everything was perfectly seasoned, authentic. We ordered tom yum as well and it was not too sour. Perfect meal!

It just tastes “okay”, but not for the price. I ordered a dish with rice, but the menu doesn't say that it comes with rice. So I ordered a bowl of rice with it. The waitress didn't remind me.

Staff is super friendly and nice, especially the young lady with the short hair and piercings. It's nice that they serve the dishes with a big bowl of rice on the side. The food is average and we found it to be a bit too salty (curry) and the veggies a bit raw to our taste. Broccoli and zucchini were uncooked. Pad Thai was also a bit too sweet, and didn’t come with what we usually expect on the side: Lime + Chili flakes/powder. Overall, it’s ok to try something different in the area, as there’s not much variety. PS Expect some wasps around if you sit on the terrace in summer. Unfortunately, there’s no AC inside.

If you are tired of local cuisine, this place is a good alternative. The freshly prepared food is excellent and the service is fast and friendly.

Cute little Thai restaurant. Everything is clean and tidy, you can see the food being prepared, everything is very fresh. The service is friendly and unobtrusive. Both had a starter and a normal drink and two main courses. Paid around €60 for it. For us the price-performance ratio is right. It was delicious, just like in Thailand, fresh and hospitable. We'd love to come back!

authentic Thai cuisine (cook directly from Thailand). They don't skimp on Thai vegetables, herbs etc. The food is spicy and delicious like in Thailand.

Oh well. Not really authentic or unfortunately too Germanized. Papaya salad with almost no dressing and no spiciness. Pad Thai also had nothing to do with the original Pad Thai that you get in Thailand. Not recommended if you want authentic Thai food.

A very nice restaurant. Ambiance is traditional and appropriate. In summer you can sit outside. Food is very tasty and fresh, that's what you imagine typical Thai food to be. It is also NOT mixed with glutamate, like many Asian restaurants. The staff is friendly and quick. Price-performance ratio very good. Restaurant is absolutely recommended.

I can really recommend this restaurant. Although the restaurant is full, we still get space and are given a very warm welcome. The service is extremely courteous and quick. The restaurant is very cozy and nicely furnished with nice niches. The food with fresh ingredients. We're already looking forward to the next time we're back in Lindsu.

Summer rolls were a complete disappointment, just iceberg lettuce and carrot! I won't go to the restaurant for that! Glass noodle salad didn't taste like anything and was just spicy, even though we didn't order spicy for the children. Prices for these ingredients are just outrageous!

So first of all... I can't understand the, albeit few, negative reviews. Four of us were at Thung Thong Thai, were allowed to sit outside when the weather was nice and we were all very, very enthusiastic. As a Thailand lover (and that includes the food), I have rarely experienced such authentic cuisine in Germany. I can also very well understand that certain dishes are slightly modified (Europeanized), otherwise there probably wouldn't be a favorite dish for everyone. But there is something for everyone, including when it comes to spiciness. But caution is advised. A little caution is required when cooking spicy or very spicy dishes, as some dishes are extremely spicy. Please let the extremely friendly staff advise you. When it comes to the prices, you have to say that they can of course not be compared with an Asian snack bar. However, I think that the price-performance ratio is very good. The portions are more than enough and there is enough rice...we were all full and we are...very good eaters. And one more thing: if someone thinks the food is too expensive... then they should go to a home-style restaurant and eat breaded schnitzel (pork) with fries (there's usually no salad anymore these days, but everything is included . Schnitzel from the freezer and breaded). Usually costs 19 euros. So enough talk now... just go to Thung Thong Thai in Lindau, let yourself be pampered and see for yourself. I for one will be coming back.

Small but fine restaurant in Lindau. Nothing works here without a reservation. In return you get very tasty food. What was confusing was that the prices on the menu outside were cheaper than in the restaurant. But still affordable. The staff is very nice and friendly.
