To remind us of our holiday in Thailand, we visited Thung Thong Pai. And we were more than satisfied. The food is authentic, tastes excellent, and the service is polite and attentive. We had Phad Phak Ped (roast duck on vegetables with rice) and Phad Si Iw Gai (fried noodles with chicken breast). If we ever find ourselves in Lindau again, we will definitely stop by.

The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The drinks were also excellent. We'd love to come back.

1. How about an online menu? You already have a website! It was significantly cheaper at the beginning than the "other Thai" (Thai House) on the island! Now the prices have increased considerably. What a shame! Yes, even the Thai House has become significantly more expensive. It's a tourist island, after all...

A really great and affordable lunch menu!

Reservations are recommended, even at 5:30 p.m. We didn't have a reservation and still got a seat at a table for four, which we shared with two other guests, which wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, the (relatively small) interior heats up quickly and is noisy. Only when we left did we notice that they also serve outside. We don't know what the outdoor temperature is for this type of terrace. The food was good but not exceptional.

As always (when in Lindau), our path leads us to this wonderful little family-run restaurant with incredibly delicious, freshly prepared food and very friendly owners and staff. Thank you so much! Warm regards from the Zimmermann family (near Leipzig)

PERFECT, nothing more to add. Truly delicious & top quality! Unfortunately, Mango Sticki Rice is only available in the summer, which is reason enough to come back! But because they place great importance on the best possible quality, and unfortunately, mangoes don't taste good in Germany in the winter, it's actually another plus point!

The best Thai food we've ever had. Fresh and perfectly seasoned. The spiciness level is indicated on the menu. Super friendly owners and unobtrusive but fast service. It's a shame we live so far away. We'd happily eat there again.

We were here on a Friday evening right after they opened at 5:30 p.m. We managed to get a table inside for two. The staff were very friendly and took care of us quickly. The food is freshly prepared in the front of the restaurant in front of our eyes and tastes absolutely delicious! Very authentic cuisine! We'll be back.

Highly recommend here for authentic Thai, especially the pad thai, Thai tea, and crispy duck. The food is already tasty, and the extra spicy chili oil and garlic make it even more perfect! Lunch specials M-F make it even more affordable. Service is friendly and quick every time.

The food was okay. It didn't really taste like a restaurant. The young lady and the older gentleman were very nice and tried hard. However, the older lady gave every guest a very angry look, like, "What are you doing here?!" It was very unpleasant because of her. It was very hot in the restaurant, and there were no fans or anything like that. I wouldn't go there again.

You literally have to be completely shut down to your senses to enjoy anything here. Maybe an off day for the restaurant but honestly… if not, I would never come here again or recommend it. If you’ve ever eaten real Thai food or dealt with the true Thai people, you’ll know what I mean. Service was impatient and rushed. They barely gave eye contact and were curt. Don’t be tricked by the images in the menu… they do NOT represent what they serve . The Tom yam gung was literally boiled water with prawns and parsley. They ought to be ashamed of themselves . If you’re ready to go to a Thai restaurant for rice… that’s the only thing worth eating . Be warned

You can simply taste the fresh ingredients and traditional recipes used here – just as we have come to know and appreciate from our travels to Thailand. Every bite is a little trip to Southeast Asia. We would especially like to highlight the welcoming team: The owners and the entire staff are originally from Thailand and bring with them not only their culinary skills, but also their warmth and hospitality. You are greeted with a genuine smile, receive attentive service, and feel completely in good hands. This warmth is not to be taken for granted – here, it is palpable at every moment. Even those with dietary restrictions – whether intolerances, allergies, or special requests such as vegetarian or vegan – are in excellent hands here. For us, this restaurant has become an integral part of every island trip. Anyone who loves authentic Thai food is guaranteed to be happy here – regardless of whether they have special dietary requirements or mobility restrictions. Unfortunately, it was the worst Asian experience I've had so far! The staff were very nice, but the food was terrible. I can't understand why the restaurant has such high ratings. Perhaps due to its monopoly on the island of Lindau?

The food was very spicy, even though we chose the "non-spicy" option. Also, my appetizer was mixed up, and I got something different than what I wanted. I don't understand how this restaurant can get 4.7 ⭐️. If we come back to Lindau, we will definitely not go here again.

We were truly impressed by Thung Thong in Lindau! The staff was super friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. The delicious, authentic food reminded us of Thailand: They even serve papaya salad and the super tasty Thai iced tea, which you don't find everywhere. For starters, we had delicious spring rolls and chicken wings, both very well prepared. The red curry with chicken was just the right amount of spice – nicely aromatic and not too mild. The Pad Thai noodles were also excellent, beautifully fresh and flavorful. To finish, we had a sweet pancake with banana and ice cream, which rounded off the meal perfectly. Overall, a fantastic experience with delicious, authentic food and super friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

We visited Thung Thong Thai Restaurant with a small group and had an overall satisfactory visit. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff very friendly. However, many dishes were a bit too greasy or oily for our taste, which somewhat spoiled the taste experience. The portion sizes could have been a bit larger, as most of us unfortunately didn't feel completely full. All in all, a nice restaurant with really friendly service, but there's still room for improvement in the food and portion sizes.

I declare myself a fan of Thung Thong… no matter what I have tried so far, everything has been delicious and fresh… every time it has been very, very good

Who would’ve thought the most authentic Thai food would be on a lake in the middle of mainland Germany… but there you go. If you’re looking for a sign to come here, this is it- INCREDIBLE food, wonderful hospitality, and fair prices. Highly recommend the Pad Kra Pow, Duck Vegetables, and Green Curry- super flavourful and they do not hold back on spice if you ask! Having a Thai feast on the streets of a medieval town is certainly an experience, and made all the bettef by the wonderful friendly servers.

The Thai food was delicious, and the waiter was very enthusiastic. He kept asking us if the beef soup was spicy one night—actually, we can eat spicy food, hahaha! The other dishes are also very delicious, and the environment in the store is also very good. It is a surprise of this trip:)

As someone who has been to Thailand and has enjoyed Thai food for many years, it is a place that I cannot understand how it got such high scores. The atmosphere and the attention of the waiters were very nice. I give it 5 stars, but I ate the most tasteless Tom Yum Gung I have eaten in all these years. It had no taste, not even Lemon Grass was added. Red Curry is the dish I have eaten in every Thai restaurant, and there was a taste problem in it too. Unfortunately, we ordered vegetable noodles for my son, and that was too. It was unsuccessful. The only thing we liked was the Cashew Chicken. It was quite different from the photo, but the taste was good. Frankly, the food did not satisfy us at all.

If you want to eat Thai spicy food, then you've come to the right place. You get an original papaya salad that is absolutely top. And you can eat dishes with original Thai spiciness. Brilliant. The service is quick and courteous, you get your food quickly, and the prices are great for the location. They're doing great here. In the end everything is gone😊

A real Thai food place in the center of Lindau. The guy who served us was super friendly, the space was super clean and the food was fresh. 💰The prices of the main dishes range from 13 to 20 euros. There are soups for around €6 and other starters for around €8. Price of our order: 💶We ordered menu 108 and 109, and a sparkling orange juice and spent €31.50 in total. I recommend 💯

Very pleasant atmosphere with calm background music. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent and very tasty, also well priced. We'll definitely come back more often because we're very excited.
