Probably the most authentic Vietnamese bánh mì one can find in Germany (and Europe?): crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, tasty fillings, simply delicious. Trust me, I'm Vietnamese.
Excellent options of traditional warm dishes, drinks and desserts too.
The food is delicious. The biggest annoyance, however, is that tap water costs money. I find that outrageous, and it instantly lowers my opinion of restaurants!
The three of us had a lovely evening. The menu with a large selection makes it difficult to decide. A starter soup and the main course were delicious and the price-performance ratio was great.
The service is great. Very friendly staff who are always very attentive despite the restaurant being full, although that was certainly not easy for them.
I will definitely come here more often and can only recommend VIET QUAN.
Best regards,
Jens
I ordered number 27, which was supposed to be a rice noodle soup with dumplings. A porridge that resembled gruel soup came with a few croutons... I exchanged it and waited another 30 minutes for my food...
The sirvice is terribly bad, the young waiter, maybe 19 years old at the most, asked me to use my used cutlery from the starter again. You have to place orders with him at the counter because he never looks at the guest, just looks at his cell phone and plays...
Things were really better in the past few days, which is a real shame...
the service is very nice, the food is very tasty and there are many vegan options
There is also a melancholic atmosphere of a romantic Indian film or "piece of life" anime
We were really disappointed today with the loveless hospitality.
On Valentine's Day you expect at least one candle or flower on the table. And no, there weren't any candles on the other tables either. There used to be a menage of salt and pepper, soy sauce and hot sauce on every table.
You shouldn't have to ask for it!
The food, which we also complained about, was cold. It was like that last time too. We thought it was a mistake.
Overall, it's better to sit there with a jacket on because the whole place is cold.
You could perhaps also buy new dishes. Those dented tureens, creepy...
The prices are completely overpriced, given the small portions! Just under €25 and then extra for pasta, crazy!
It was really disappointing today.
It was probably the last time for us!
We've eaten at Mito several times. The food has always been top-notch in terms of taste and quality, and today was no different. But what's absolutely unacceptable is this:
My wife and daughter's food was simply forgotten. Only after I'd already eaten more than half of my meal and asked if my wife and daughter would get theirs did it become clear that they had simply been forgotten. And so, in the end, my wife and daughter were served a lukewarm meal, which must have been sitting at the counter for quite some time.
The service also left a lot to be desired. They didn't even ask if everything was okay, and even though there were empty glasses on the table and several servers passed by our table about six or seven times, they didn't even ask if we had any other requests. A friend of mine runs a good restaurant, and it's customary for the waiters to come to the table and ask if everything is okay and if there are any requests (which, of course, also benefits sales, but the waiters there may not have understood).
After the service disaster, we asked for the bill and paid by credit card. The fact that I didn't tip a single cent is due to the poor service. There was a meager apology and a "See you next time." If the staff had been more on their toes and, as a kind gesture, deducted the two Cokes and the water as an apology (which are pennies in retail), that would at least have been something and would have left a conciliatory impression. But apparently, the owner doesn't want that, as he apparently "doesn't need" to rectify mistakes with a small, kind gesture. However, the owner should certainly ask himself how long this will last. I actually wouldn't have written this review, but since something similar happened in a milder form during one of our visits, I decided to write it down. Not least because, as I've read in some reviews here, the service there generally doesn't seem to be the best, including in terms of friendliness and attentiveness.
So, in conclusion: food quality very good, service poor.
Sehr empfehlenswert
Inconspicuous from the outside but super beautiful from the inside.
The food and service are 1a.
Freshly prepared and really tasty, friendly staff and really great prices for this quality.
Have ordered here several times and have now eaten in the restaurant and were once again thrilled.
A complete recommendation.
We ordered something to pick up. It was quick, super friendly service, inexpensive and it tasted good too! Sushi menu 1, curry peanut once with duck and once vegetarian with tofu. If we lived here we would definitely come regularly!
