Bánh Mì Minh in München

Probably the most authentic Vietnamese bánh mì one can find in Germany (and Europe?): crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, tasty fillings, simply delicious. Trust me, I'm Vietnamese. Excellent options of traditional warm dishes, drinks and desserts too.

Unfortunately I only have to give it 2 stars. The reason is that the breads have now become more expensive (which I still understand) but the fact that the contents were a lot less than I've been used to for over 8 years, I think it's a real shame. Either I was just unlucky this time with the contents of the 4 different Banh Mi or there simply weren't enough ingredients left when I ordered at 5 p.m. on Sunday. I'll come back one day and when things go back to "normal" as I'm used to then the review will of course be corrected.

I've been there 8 times now. I ordered the same thing every time! The Bahn Mis are highly recommended. Incomparably good bread quality! Very good recipes!

My favorite Banh Mi load!! I've been going here for years. I think the Banh Mis are very close to what they have in Vietnam. The perfect bread and the different variations are mega. I could eat three of them every time. Even my friend from Berlin comes here every time and raves about it because there is no good Banh Mi on offer in Berlin. She always takes 6-10 pieces home with her when she goes back. I can only recommend the store.

The best bánh mì I've tried so far in Munich. It's quick, very reasonably priced and tastes heavenly every time! The coconut jelly dessert and the lemongrass teas are also highly recommended! I always enjoy coming here!

Deliciously marinated, juicy, crispy tofu with fresh coriander leaves + fresh fried vegetables. Never eaten such delicious tofu. Applies to both tofu sandwiches.

In my opinion the best Banh Mi in Germany in terms of bread quality. There are a lot of vegetarian options and the restaurant is also very nicely decorated.

Had two Banh Mi. Tasted very good, only a short wait (Sunday evening). The only thing we missed was the typical Vietnamese friendliness.

Chic shop and the Banh Mi were really tasty

The food wasn't bad but not great. The meat was chewy and the peppers underdone. Some dishes don't have all ingredients written on the menu, so it's easy to get something you don't like. The bread was excellent.

We counted many Asian guests. You probably appreciate the delicious, authentically prepared food. We tried Banh mi chao and Co'm trôn. Both were excellent and well portioned. The price-performance ratio is tip top. We can definitely recommend it!

I'm so sad that you're no longer at Stachus because it's so far away from me. I love your banh mis and was finally here in the new shop. Just crazy. My friend found the veggie sausage a bit dry. I haven't tried it. The one with chicken is once again absolutely perfect!

Rating: 2/5 stars Unfortunately, my visit to Banh Mi Minh was disappointing. Even though there were only two people in front of us, we had to wait over 50 minutes - that's far too long. Banh Mi: Tasted good (4/5), but the portion was small and not appropriate for the price. Pho: Very disappointing - dry meat, chopped, poor quality noodles and lemongrass in the soup that doesn't traditionally belong there. The broth was bland and seemed bland. Banh Xeo: Crispy, but the filling was disappointing - a few dry shrimps, hardly any meat and mostly bean sprouts. Overall, the filling was very sparse and the taste was flat, sometimes even slightly burnt. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, you should look for an alternative.

The best bánh mì I've had in Europe! Bánh mì thịt nướng and bánh mì heo quay were both fantastic. My Vietnamese wife and I went back the next day for more, and even ordered extra to take with us. Phenomenal food. The only negative is they prefer you to pay in cash, and they looked at me strangely when I asked for the receipt. Hmm.

The bread is very crispy and delicious, the service style is unique and enthusiastic, it's truly wonderful.

My Banh Mi tasted very delicious. One point deducted for the service. I didn't really like the staff. They weren't unfriendly, but you didn't feel welcome and they were very unmotivated. I also found the waiting time for a Banh Mi to be extremely long.

If you're going there and expect a nice Vietnamese dessert like "chè thập cẩm" or "chè thái" you may get disappointed. I also asked my vietnamese aunt and friends how they liked it after I bought it for them. They were disappointed and after I tasted it, I also knew why. The first thing they noticed (and what I unfortunately didn't) is that they put the coconut milk in it right away, even though I said I want it "to go". Nobody even asked to separate it. If I compare this with chè in Berlin, then this was actually sad and the portions were so small you may think they wanna sell for kids. BUT I went there to get the typical Vietnamese desserts so I will only say I don't recommend "chè thập cẩm" and "chè thái". Plus I originally wanted "chè bưởi" which was unfortunately sold out quick.

Best Vietnamese food in Munich. Recommend dishes: the bread, the beef, the dessert(do not recommend pho If the giant delicious bread and sizzling beef are not delicious, you can follow the network cable and hit me.

Definitely very authentic shop. Has Vietnamese dishes that are not available everywhere. I can especially recommend the desserts if you generally like them. It may not be perfect for staying for several hours, but it is still very inviting and perfect for a lunch break. Especially the Bánh Mì.

We only ate Banh Mi today, but it was even tastier than in Vietnam. I'll try other things next time.

Tastes very good, but banh mi could be bigger

The food was good, but the service was the worst. We ordered drinks and banh mi at the same time, but half of us received our food (without drinks), and after about an hour, the rest of us was really hungry, so we decided to ask for the rest of our order. The man at the cashier told us that we had confused them and that we should wait instead of asking for our food (after an hour of ordering??). The first group of us who received their food first got their drinks after we asked for the rest of the order (they even finished eating before they got their drinks). The man didn’t even apologize and instead seemed mad. The banh mi was excellent, but the service was 👎🏼. The table next to us even received undercooked banh xeo. They asked for another one, but only got it after they had already finished the rest of their meal.

In general, a nice place, but it takes forever to get your food. And then they even serve with the wrong meal. For lunchtime, definitely not recommended to go.

Lovely authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of the city

Banh Mi Minh is one of the top addresses when it comes to Banh Mi here in Germany. Every time I'm here in Munich I also order for home. Even if you prepare the banh mi in the air fryer at home for 2-3 minutes, it will become crispy again. Thank you for giving us a piece of home.

The only place I go to get some banh mi in Munich! Decent northern style Phở, could use more herbs topping imo. Xôi thập cẩm is also pretty delicious!

Unfriendly customer service and disrespectful communication with customers, which leads to a bad experience. Sugarcane juice NOT recommended: lots of water and little sugarcane taste, €5 is too expensive for these drinks. Summary: I'm NEVER coming back because of the poor customer service.

The pho bo was really good and the sandwich also, although the bread was not quite right. But the saddest thing was the inhospitablety of manager who tried to avoid acceptin card, and got it only after asking to cancel order.

I find the bread here delicious and suitable for my taste, especially the beef bread. Many days I'm addicted to buying it regardless of sun or rain. I don't rate anything other than bread. But for me, as long as Minh Banh Mi has delicious bread, I'll still come back. However, I can only give you some suggestions on which bag is better for me when I buy takeout. The tiny, thin plastic bag couldn't even cover the bread. Moreover, the staff did not even wrap it for them, but instead gave it to the customer to stuff themselves. My lover took it out and I was slightly shocked. I saw that the bag was similar to the plastic bags people keep at the vegetable counter in the supermarket. These crunchy foods will make you feel weak when you carry them like that when you get home, my shop 🥹😭

The egg was burn and bitter, which makes the sauce slightly bitter. However, the drink was pretty nice and fresh.

The food took so long that I was almost giving up. All the other people had the plate before me - because mine was a veg option. Even so, the food itself doesn’t worth a second visit. The place was also not comfortable. I changed it for a couple times and it end up in front of the air conditioning tube. And the service didn’t make anything better.

We visited twice during our time in Munich and were very pleased both times with the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Service is quick and the interior is nicely decorated with a graffiti mural. We had bahn mìs the first time, highly recommend for a quick lunch. Everything is very fairly priced too.

We ordered xôi thập cẩm and bánh mì chảo. The food tasted nice, especially xôi thập cẩm, quite authentic. Bánh mì chảo is so so, bánh mì is crunchy enough. Food is flavourful. The drink, on the other hand, was bad. We got trà tắc xí muội. They didn’t filter out the dregs. It’s a self service restaurant. The kassa girl is nice Nice atmosphere as well

I was here for the first time today and I have to say just WOW! Super delicious, juicy sandwiches that were so tasty that I took another one with me for home. Highly recommended, there are many vegetarian and vegan versions of Vietnamese sandwiches.

Very authentic Banh Mi place. The snack bar is moderately structured. It certainly takes some getting used to with the beeper and ordering indoors. But the prices are good and the taste is delicious! We'll be back.

A small, inconspicuous restaurant from the outside. The restaurant is manageable and has space for around 30 people. Ordering is done at the counter. You get a device that vibrates when the food is ready to be picked up at the counter. The various Banh Mi were quite good. The fillings were all very tasty. There was a bit too much cilantro on the sandwich for my taste. Unfortunately, there were a few pieces of gristle in the pieces of grilled pork.

Best Banh Mi I've eaten since Vietnam. Nice staff and the owner is even a master baker, which is why the baguette tastes so incredibly good! Clear recommendation.

Real Vietnam feeling in Munich. The Banh Mi Chao, both vegetarian and meat, were outstanding! The airy and crispy Banh Mi was also very suitable for dipping. Clear recommendation. The Banh Mi's are available in different variations and are very close to those from Hanoi (Vietnam) in terms of toppings and seasoning. There are vegetarian variations here too. The only point of criticism: the sandwiches could have been a little more filled. Meat lovers and vegetarians/vegans will get their money's worth. We'd love to come back :)

Food tastes good, but a bit too expensive for what you get. ToGo takes far too long (>20min). Not for a quick snack in between. The friendliness is okay. Card payment (credit card) not possible.

Last week, according to the seeding clip on TT, I visited Minh's bakery and ordered 1 piece of Banh Chao, 1 satay noodle soup and 2 sugar cane drinks. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has space. • Pan-fried bread with pieces of beef seasoned to taste, I had bitter eggs and burned the underside, little sauce, bread was crispy, but no filling. •The spicy noodle soup part is salty, has little beef, my personal feeling is that it doesn't live up to its name of spicy noodle soup. • Sugarcane juice is the 2 purple glasses in the photo. Sugarcane juice is actually purple, not green. A little sugarcane juice (about 250ml), not as much as in the seeding clip on TikTok. I'm also not satisfied with the glass of water. At first I planned to try more dishes but they weren't delicious so I didn't order more. • Conclusion: The restaurant should only be visited to try it out, live virtual lives, go and find out. If you want to eat delicious food, you should consider it!

First Banh Mi for me in a long time and first one in Munich. I got the M6. Very nice, good crunch, fresh ingredients, reasonable price. Great as a quick lunch sandwich option that not döner kebab. Their desserts were nice as well, highly recommend. Would come back to try other stuff on the menu.

Having tried Bánh Mì across Germany (Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich), Bánh Mì Minh stands out as the best so far. While the appearance may seem unassuming at first, with a pale color and a less traditional shape, the taste is exceptional and delivers the authentic Vietnamese Bánh Mì flavor I was searching for. If you're unsure which Bánh Mì to choose, I highly recommend the Bánh Mỳ Chảo. Beyond Bánh Mì, the Hủ Tiếu Sa Tế is also incredibly flavorful. I'll definitely be coming back.

Didn’t like the grill plate - it was served on a cast iron grill pan but the food was lukewarm… wasn’t worth the almost 14 euros Price. Bun Bo had nice herbs tho.

They are simply not an original Vietnamese Banh Mi. There was almost nothing in them, the bread was too crispy that you couldn't taste it at all, and the fillings were too boring. Drinks weren't anything special either. So if you want to eat authentic Banh Mi, you should eat somewhere else.

We ordered a total of 3 takeaway dishes, all three dishes they prepared were wrong when we picked them up. Two stars because the food is still very good and they offered to prepare one of the dishes but we didn't have time to wait for it. The entire order being wrong is too much.

My go-to place for authentic banh mi every time I visit Munich

Exciting: Asian-style sandwiches are available here. I had a Vietnamese style pork/chum sandwich. It was very tasty, but also a little bit greasy. Therefore 4/5 stars from me. I can still recommend a visit during your lunch break and would be happy to come back to try the other Samdwiches.
