We tried the restaurant today. You don't often find an Italian restaurant that's completely vegan in Berlin. The food (lasagna and baked eggplant) was very, very tasty. The prices are a bit higher, but it's also a niche cuisine—that is, for a specific target audience. We think the restaurant will be a viable option and would be happy to return.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the vegan offer. I was in this shop a few years ago, it was called "vegano flavors" and it was 100% vegan and I thought it was super delicious, but now the shop is called "Oriental oven", which I find misleading and they also offer non-vegan dishes. I didn't find the labeled boards outside the shop very informative. I'm not particularly familiar with oriental cuisine and would have liked more clarity here, what's behind Lahme, Manakish, etc. Unfortunately, the advice wasn't very informative, perhaps we should have asked better questions. I ordered Vegane Lahme - vegan meat, the label underneath was, "vegan meat, parsley, onions and vegan cheese" in my imagination I would have received a plate or a sizzling cast iron pan with all of the above, served was a dry "pizza" with red paste spread on it where I couldn't find any meat, onions or parsley. It was simply a pureed paste on dry pizza dough and arugula on top. My companion had the same thing with no idea green pesto. Many dishes on the menu had different names but the same ingredients, so I wasn't sure what the difference was. However, the pictures in the gallery show that there are apparently also real, large (vegan) meat plates. We also ordered an oven-baked sweet potato with date syrup, tahini and pomegranate. A cold halved sweet potato with syrup was served on a lettuce leaf in a bowl (the size of a cereal bowl) for 7 euros. I have to mention here that we were given a waiver when we paid because they forgot to bring us the dip. I still find the prices to be far too high for the not very elaborate dishes on offer, which we at least had. I can't imagine that the store does the "Oriental Oven" justice, I was hoping for much more.

We traveled from Vienna, eat exclusively plant-based food, and had therefore chosen this place in advance. We were there for lunch. It was a wonderfully beautiful day, and you can sit right outside at small tables, which were very invitingly decorated with fresh flowers. With the beautiful sunshine, we even took advantage of this opportunity to eat outside ;) We ordered inside – self-service. Right on the blackboard was a weekly special with dumplings. Of course, I had to try it right away. The price was €11.50, which is quite steep considering the really small portion of 5 dumplings and a few pieces of asparagus (mixed tips and middle pieces) (there was no other side dish), but the taste was top-notch! Unfortunately, I didn't get full from it, and I don't eat much at lunch... Second, we had the doner kebab, which at €10 isn't cheap either, but it's certainly filling and quite filling – so it's absolutely and more than okay value for money :-) The service was very friendly, authentic, and attentive. We felt very comfortable. You can just feel that attention is paid to quality, cleanliness, and sustainability. <3 The vegan concept is a real success in terms of taste, and I HIGHLY recommend the restaurant! To every Berliner and, like us, to visitors to Berlin!!! It's definitely worth it, and I would definitely come back. (So please excuse the memo regarding the price of the weekly special, but I just wanted to point it out as a fair reminder: you're a great team and make incredibly delicious vegan food!!!) The best vegan dumplings I've eaten so far! We had two different varieties, both of which were really, really good. There was also a small portion of potato and coleslaw. So a clear recommendation :)

Would not serve me a hot burger. They only put them on the grill for 60 seconds, which is not long enough to cook anything. We had them remake them, and they refused to cook them any longer, they said it is their policy that they can only cook it for 60 seconds on each side. Even if the customer asked for it to be hotter. I could not eat my food, no refund was offered. Food may taste fine there, but it’s gross to serve not hot. Fries were fine. $35 for two inedible burgers & a medium order of fries with a few sauces.

What a wonderful evening at Happa. This great location has been on my bucket list for a long time and now I've finally made it. I chose the spring-like three-course menu, which absolutely convinced me. There was an incredibly great bread with a wild garlic cream as a starter, then green asparagus on a white bean cream and as a main course pulled BBQ mushrooms with roasted potatoes and a crispy crunch. And for dessert, a very tasty brownie with peanut cream and raspberries. Plus a homemade lime and rosemary lemonade. Everything was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and all around delicious. The service was very friendly, the waiting time was reasonable and the atmosphere was very open and inviting. Only the volume could not be ignored due to the small size of the room. You inevitably noticed what was being discussed at the next table ;-) But apart from that, it was a wonderful evening - and certainly not the last for me at Happa.
