Vamos Veganos in Berlin

We traveled from Vienna, eat exclusively plant-based food, and had therefore chosen this place in advance. We were there for lunch. It was a wonderfully beautiful day, and you can sit right outside at small tables, which were very invitingly decorated with fresh flowers. With the beautiful sunshine, we even took advantage of this opportunity to eat outside ;) We ordered inside – self-service. Right on the blackboard was a weekly special with dumplings. Of course, I had to try it right away. The price was €11.50, which is quite steep considering the really small portion of 5 dumplings and a few pieces of asparagus (mixed tips and middle pieces) (there was no other side dish), but the taste was top-notch! Unfortunately, I didn't get full from it, and I don't eat much at lunch... Second, we had the doner kebab, which at €10 isn't cheap either, but it's certainly filling and quite filling – so it's absolutely and more than okay value for money :-) The service was very friendly, authentic, and attentive. We felt very comfortable. You can just feel that attention is paid to quality, cleanliness, and sustainability. <3 The vegan concept is a real success in terms of taste, and I HIGHLY recommend the restaurant! To every Berliner and, like us, to visitors to Berlin!!! It's definitely worth it, and I would definitely come back. (So please excuse the memo regarding the price of the weekly special, but I just wanted to point it out as a fair reminder: you're a great team and make incredibly delicious vegan food!!!) Very nice shop (inside and out) with friendly staff <3. The food is pretty tasty, but €10 per wrap is a bit pricey. So I won't be coming back as often as I'd like.

Addendum 2 years later: Best vegan kebab in town. Verified in the last few months, the alternatives (regardless of whether the one with V, do.. do.. or 0-Kebab) are ok in my opinion, but they don't come as close to the freshness and the kebab taste as Föner. Plus the consistent quality and friendliness. Just thank you! --- The best Vöner? Or Föner. I have never eaten a vegan version of a product so deliciously. Everything was perfect, from the taste and ambience to the soy ayran. Keep it up!

After this shop was recommended by everyone, me and a friend definitely had to try the kebab. At first we were a bit surprised that we weren't in a kebab shop but in a student café. After 20 minutes of having to control my kleptomaniac features so as not to stick one of the little figurines on the counter, our "doner kebabs" finally arrived. I'm writing this in quotation marks because, to be honest, nothing has reminded me less of a kebab than this cold sandwich for a whopping €10. Well at least it tasted great... fucked up. I think I would have preferred to buy one of those wrapped toasts at Netto that taste so artificial As if they were fresh from a 3D printer. All in all we were pretty disappointed.

I am now a regular guest because the Föner is simply unique. All the other vegetarian alternatives at the kebab stands can pack in #BestDönerEver Super friendly service team! Greetings to the nice gentleman! :)

I absolutely cannot understand a 1 star rating! A small, friendly company that always serves a top product. From the kebab to the dishes available during the week (all vegan) always a dream! Above all, I like to pay “a little more” for a product that I leave with a smile every time and wish I had eaten a second portion! ❤️ Thank you

There is various information about the opening times (internet, opening times board at the shop, (additional) custom-made sign with reference to today on the shop). Standing in front of the store twice on the same day without the opportunity to eat due to incorrect opening hours. The second time, I looked for a huge handwritten sign on the shop that said Föner is available from 3 p.m. today. Staff were on site at 3:05 p.m. When the discrepancies were pointed out, the sign and the opening times were rejected. The gentleman doesn't feel like dealing with me, doesn't apologize for the disagreements and doesn't see that it's taking up my life time. Nothing is more unsexy at a snack bar than poor opening hours management.

Very successful vegan kebab. The meat alternative is made from smoked tofu and cut into thin slices, which is very reminiscent of a normal kebab compared to other veggies. Donerd in Berlin. Also a lot of cabbage, salad etc. in it, like a real Berlin kebab.

Vamos Veganos in Berlin serves by far the best vegan sandwich I’ve had in a long time! The smoked tofu is to die for—perfectly balanced, satisfying, and fresh. It feels both healthy and filling at the same time. I absolutely loved the cozy, authentic vibe of the place and the super friendly staff. The menu is simple, with just a few items, but everything is made on-site from fresh ingredients—and you can taste the difference. I’m still dreaming about it! I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

So delicious! Really absolutely perfect, can't criticize anything. Perfect ratio of sauce to bread to protein, bread is crispy, sauces flavorful and just to the point. Can highly recommend it. Also a cute shop where you can sit nicely.

The best vegan Döner I’ve ever had. Delicious vegan ayran too, homemade. The place is nice and cosy in a chill way. I came for a takeaway but defo coming back to eat in.

I treated myself to vegan Dürum for €9.50 - the friendliness of the service staff was okay, but she wasn't incredibly accommodating or motivated to answer questions. Dürüm was tasty but €9.50 is a bit too much. No, I didn't - sorry. Your waitress said the bread was out - that's why it was all in Dürüm form.

I was in Berlin for 3 days and ate here on 2 consecutive days. Once in bread and then again as Dürüm and I have to be honest, I actually liked the Dürüm a bit more. The bread and sauces are a dream and the smoked tofu is seasoned just right 🤤 It's only been a day since my kebab and I miss Berlin... a day trip just for the Fiöner? In any case! I recently went to Vamos Veganos and loved it! The food is simply delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Fiöner. The flavors are intense and the combination of ingredients is perfect. Wow! As a veggie, I miss kebab meat the most. But this is even better than any kebab with meat. Crazy!

In addition to a special, Vamos Veganos offers their kebab in three versions: as Föner, Dürüm and Bowl. We had the Föner and the Dürum. In short: it was the best kebab (vegan and also conventional) I've ever had. The ingredients were all fresh and perfectly layered. The sauces were very well balanced and every bite offered a taste experience. The service is good, as is the waiting time. The range of drinks is good, there is even vegan ayran. Absolutely recommended!

Very well seasoned meat, delicious sauce, crisp salad and all in a very lovingly designed, cozy environment with very nice service. Truly the best vegan kebab I have ever eaten. The “tofu meat” tastes incredibly good and all the other ingredients taste really good too. Unfortunately, the changing opening times and the changing offerings sometimes make it a little difficult to find a day when you can get what you want. Nevertheless, the kebab is definitely worth waiting a few days or changing your daily plan a bit :)

Very tasty vegan pizzas! Freshly prepared, at a fair price. We would have loved to eat a second pizza afterwards. Instead of normal cutlery you get scissors, which we found pretty funny and original.

First of all, I would like to emphasize the friendliness and the nice atmosphere, as this is often overlooked in reviews and I think good and friendly service that makes you feel comfortable is very important. Now to the Föner, it was incredibly delicious. The flatbread was really well filled with fresh salad and crunchy vegetables. The “meat” was very tasty and the sauce rounded off the Fiöner really tasty. Absolutely recommended and worth every cent! The apple spritzer from the Voelkel brand is also recommended. Delicious.

Great location and not only the best vegan kebab but also generally one of the best kebabs I've ever had. Good sauces, probably in quality and quantity, perfectly layered and tofu super seasoned and crispy. I'm actually pretty picky and generally don't like tofu. This was the FIRST time I tasted tofu. I will definitely come back! However, there are actually no pizzas or anything else that apparently used to be available here. That's a bit misleading.

Absolutely great shop. It's difficult to find words that describe what a great place with great staff and, above all, wonderful food. This is an absolute safe space. The Föner is absolutely worth the money. The bread is insanely good, the tofu is fantastic, the vegetables are crisp and fresh, the sauces are liquid gold. My friend so beautifully says “the best experience in my kebab life” and I can only agree with that. I don't know what's better, the Fiöner, the Soyran or the incredibly delicious soft ice cream🤤 all of this is made even better by the charming decor made of vintage furniture, the opportunity to sit outside and the (really always) incredibly friendly staff. As Hamburgers, we can't enjoy the Fiöner nearly as often as we would like, but every visit to Berlin is combined with a visit to Vamos Veganos. I can only recommend it.

Of all the vegan kebabs I've eaten so far, this is by far the best. Even the “normal” kebabs that I remember were sometimes worse. I can only recommend it and due to the amount that is in the kebab, the €10 is justified. If I didn't live so far away, I would definitely be here more often.

Good but I was expecting more Maybe I was expecting too much. The place is very small and if you sit inside the air is stagnant. If you sit outside the tables are small and unstable. The place did not seem very clean. Food was tasty and good, basically a vegan kebab. Unfortunally ours were served cold. I recommend it if your expectations are not too high. Personally i wolud not come back again.

The best vegan kebab! It's definitely worth the €10, even I get full and that doesn't happen often! What I always missed with other vegan kebabs is when the last piece of bread is really soaked with sauce and fat. This one has that 😍 They also have very good pizza, I tried it yesterday!

Difficult. My first time there, I was there half an hour before closing time and they didn't want to make me a kebab because it was already too late. Very disappointing, but good, so I just took a Dürüm. The taste was very tasty, but the shop owner was very unfriendly and you could hear her getting annoyed from the kitchen. The fact that I threw another 3 euros into the tip jar was completely ignored. I also had to tell the employee what was on the kebab so I could have it downed. That sucked. In addition, sometimes a child simply ran into the kitchen while he was eating!? How can that be? Well, maybe a bad first impression, so I went again. It was better the second time. Very tasty and also friendlier. The ambience is quite okay. The shop is very small and you can hardly sit at the tables. I'm not really tall (1.70m), but my legs still couldn't get under the table. The opening hours have now been changed and now I have no opportunity to come. I asked on Instagram whether this was permanent and I was just asked if I could come on Friday afternoon. How can that be? Very disappointing in any case, but the kebab is still tasty.
