I was there for the first time on Saturday.
I'm thrilled!!!
The interior has a great hut character. The food is very good.
But what impressed me most is the interaction of the entire team. Fast, but not hectic... Friendly/attentive but not intrusive... Everyone contributed to a lot of tables so that many people had a great evening. The young man at the counter always served his fellow waiters quickly. Communication between the waiter and the kitchen looked perfect, at least from the customer's perspective.
I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK…
We stopped here for lunch before going to the Kikeriki Theater because we didn't know you could also get food inside. But it wasn't a mistake; it was delicious.
Went to the blue goat on Petersberg with my cousin this evening. We two people from Petersberg wanted to go out for a delicious horse meatball, like we used to do in Fulda at “Kerns Jakob”. When we entered the restaurant there were only 3 tables occupied, ok, we thought... that's just how it is today. The service was very friendly and accommodating and took our order, everything was at the highest level. Then came the food, which looked like a poem, the sauce was dark brown. Then the first bite into the horse dumpling, totally over salted, actually inedible. The fries and salad were great, but the meatballs were terrible. When the waitress asked if everything was OK, we expressed our displeasure, but there was no response from the kitchen. The chef walked past our table 3-4 times, but not a word from him, that's very lowbrow. I invited my cousin here this evening because I wanted to do him a favor in the form of horse pats like we knew them from our childhood, we wanted to have a nice evening, that was probably nothing. To top it off, I wanted an espresso shortly after eight, the answer...oh, I'm sorry, we've just cleaned the machine...all right, Mr. Nitsche, that's no way to impress guests, we were probably here for the last time.
Unfortunately, right at the beginning it was stated what was unfortunately no longer available or what there was only one portion of. Very annoying when the menu is already very clear and the dishes that you wanted to eat there for are no longer there.
Spaetzle and spaetzle with beef goulash were then ordered.
What can you say... It was a disgrace! The portion of spaetzle was completely sufficient for a child's portion but never as a main course. That's a proud €17.90... cheeky!
Unfortunately, the goulash was also an absolute failure. Tough as rubber and this portion is also very manageable.
The service was nice and attentive and the ambience was ok, but that's not why we go out to eat...
