Attentive and friendly service, great food outdoors in good weather, will come back often

Admittedly, it's a little irritating when a restaurant is called "Blue Goat", especially when the sign in front of the shop shows a red goat. But maybe that's meant to offend the visitor. At least it worked for us. After we, as vacationers, had to realize that on the day of our visit there were weddings everywhere and that all the restaurants had closed parties because of this, we came across this restaurant and were able to get a seat for two. We were apologetically informed that renovations were underway. When we entered we were very friendly shown to our table, the menu was clear and the friendly host and chef answered our questions. I was very pleased that this restaurant offers "safety-first" dishes for the more cautious connoisseur, but otherwise has original things on the menu and at reasonable prices. Of course, we as city dwellers were happy about that, because we discovered a certain penchant for schnitzel and hearty meat orgies on the menus of the restaurants in the Rhön and felt a little transported back to the old days when vegetarian food was only served as a salad. A horse meatball (250 grams!) with various side dishes is recommended in the goat. I took it because when I was a child I occasionally had horse meat, and that's hard to find today. The portion was generous, the side dishes served with love and not as an afterthought, and the salad was fresh and unobtrusive, but well seasoned. My companion was also very satisfied. We hope the very best for the operators and will happily recommend the restaurant and the friendly people there.

Ate mega delicious horse meatballs with brilliant fried potatoes. There was also a “Blue Goat Beer”. Are completely satisfied :)

We already got to know the food through catering. This time we went straight to the restaurant to eat. Again, “amazingly delicious food” and the service was super friendly. Above all, it was very cozy there and you immediately felt at home. It's the little things that make a place special. The interpersonal relationships are just very good and you can taste the restaurateur's love for cooking. Thanks for that! We really enjoyed it there and are already looking forward to the next visit 🫶 We were able to enjoy beef liver and rum steak, there's no other way to say it. Very special selection of different dishes that change again and again ☺️ even I, as a meat eater, would like to try something vegetarian on my next visit. As I said, we can only highly recommend!!! Had our communion celebration here. We had a buffet with starters, main courses and desserts. There was something delicious for everyone. No matter whether old, young, vegetarian or meat eater. There was only one thing that was the same for all dishes: a delight for the palate. Everything beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, because I was so excited, I forgot to take pictures to post them to you. As always, the service was very friendly and concerned about our well-being. Would go here again at any time for a celebration. Many thanks to the blue goat team. The next visit has already been reserved.

Nice restaurant with nice people. We were traveling through with our panel van from Italy to Hamburg and made a stop here. It was delicious!!! We were allowed to spend the night in the associated parking lot. Great thank you

We ate there on Easter Saturday and the menu changes every now and then depending on the season. Current and regional products are used, which is evident in the quality of the ingredients. The braised lamb shoulder was extremely tender and the sauce was also very tasty. The only point of criticism is that there was no side dish (vegetables, salad, etc.), but "only" potatoes and meat. The dumplings (beetroot and spinach) with mushroom ragout were also very good. The dessert was a dream. You can tell that the chef knows his stuff and puts his heart and soul into it. Individual dishes are proof of this. Finally a good restaurant in Fulda again - 5 stars.

The main reason for the 5 stars were the five vegetarian dishes on the menu beyond the usual alibi -Kässpätzle with green salad. Vegetarian cuisine lovers can really feast here! The meat quality of the other dishes is convincing and very tasty. The onion sauce is in a class of its own. We are from the region, four of us had dinner, our unanimous opinion: We would be happy to go again at any time!

We were passing through, came across Blaue Goat and were very satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was super attentive and friendly. We can highly recommend it. If we head in that direction again, we'll stop by again. It's definitely worth driving off the highway. Thank you very much

Food was good, but unfortunately the dish was out of what we came here for! Absolutely great gesture that we received because our desired dish was out. You don't get service like this everywhere. Will definitely come back. A tip to all Pferdeklopps fans, order in advance and the Kloppse will be reserved for you.

Repeat offenders. Once again we were not disappointed. Delicious, unusual food presented in a pleasant atmosphere with attentive service. Wine launch in the next room is also highly recommended.

There were four of us and we really enjoyed the good service, the beautiful ambience and the delicious food! The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes was also great, although this time we all ate meat. Good regional food impresses here together with the quality of the cuisine and the friendliness of the service!

We have eaten there several times. Every time it was a sensational meal with exceptional dishes :) The menu changes regularly, so you can be amazed by new dishes! It is always a pleasure for us to eat there and we look forward to the next time :)

Attention, warning: The blue goat is not blue at all 😳🙄🤣🤣😎 Dedicated gastronomy in a well-kept atmosphere, centrally in beautiful Petersberg, delicious food - highly recommended.

We were there with several people in December and were able to see different dishes. I don't know how the pricing is determined. I had a vegetarian dish consisting of beetroot and spinach dumplings. There should also be vanilla carrots and pumpkin. I had four dumplings on my plate, two of each type. Vanilla carrots? None! Pumpkin? None! Substitute? None available. It was served with mushroom sauce, which wasn't on the menu. I was allowed to pay around €18 for the fact that the supplement was missing without notice. Neither beetroot nor spinach are so expensive that this price would be appropriate. For comparison, the person sitting next to me had ordered beef roulades with dumplings and red cabbage. On the plate there were 2 roulades!!!, 3 dumplings!!! and red cabbage to be found. And the whole thing was cheaper than the vegetarian dish with the four dumplings. The service was also rather mediocre. Once and never again. I can't pass on a recommendation when it comes to pricing either. A pity. I expected more for the price Dear Mr. Nitsche, Unfortunately I cannot respond to your answer, so I am adding my review. I can't understand your reasoning that vegan products are currently expensive because I didn't have a meat substitute, just a meatless dish consisting of beetroot and spinach dumplings. What is more expensive about beetroot, spinach or carrots, which were missing, like the price per kilo for beef roulades? How can it be that three dumplings are served with the two roulades and there is nothing to be found in the vegetarian dish apart from four dumplings? How can it be that you as a chef do not inform the guest if the dish cannot be served as described on the menu because an important ingredient is not in stock? And it's not me as a guest who has to alert the chef when only half of the dish is on the plate. So I gratefully decline the second attempt at your expense because you blame the guest and don't admit your own. I expect to be informed by the kitchen if the selected dish cannot be served as it appears on the menu. Because that is service and not, it is served as the chef sees fit!

Everything is as you wish. Clean premises and nice staff. Didn't eat anything so food without rating. Gladly again.

I passed here on the way south and noticed this place because of the good reviews. I ordered potato and cucumber salad with fried egg from the lunch menu, but without meatloaf, which was easily achievable. A homemade onion sauce was served, which was extremely tasty. The food was also very good. 😋 The ambience is clear, well structured and modern. All in all very good and a very clear recommendation, even for the large menu. 😁 Please keep it up 👍

Great shop and completely unknown to me. Florian is a passionate restaurateur and impresses with absolute passion. Great dishes and a good selection of vegetarian/vegan dishes. We will be back.

For the price the food was not satisfactory. We were greeted unfriendly at a late hour. The service was good and friendly.

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und verständnisvoll mit den Kindern, das Essen absolut erstklassig und das Ambiente sehr stimmungsvoll und ansprechend. Dieses Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, wir werden von nun an öfters dort sein. Danke an das Personal für den schönen Abend und den super Service

Bei der telefonisch Reservierung wurden wir gebeten lieber etwas später zu kommen da viele Reservierungen. Tatsächlich waren drei Tische belegt und insgesamt 10 Personen im Restaurant. 2 x vierer Tisch und einmal zwei Personen. Angebot der Karte nur noch eingeschränkt und trotz des minimierten Angebotes über eine Stunde aufs Essen gewartet. Bedienung wirkte nicht ganz so engagiert und motiviert. Umsatz macht man dann, wenn man an den Tisch kommt und eine Bestellung aufnimmt. Das Essen war gut. Potenzial nach oben ist da. Ambiente ist toll.

Das Team der blauen Ziege hat den Sektempfang nach unserer Hochzeit ausgerichtet. Es gab FingerFood vom Feinsten, sie haben ein super leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Buffet gezaubert. Absprachen waren unkompliziert, das Team sehr nett! Vielen Dank! Ein perfekter Start in die Ehe :-)

Wir sind mehr zufällig in der "Blauen Ziege" gelandet, aber haben es nicht bereut. Sehr freundlicher Service und eine Küche auf Spitzenniveau. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Spinat-Käse-Knödel. Vegetarier sollten die gebackene Sellerieknolle probieren.

Alle Gerichte waren extrem gut, die junge Dame im Service ist top, man fühlt sich willkommen, das Ambiente ist gut. Wir fanden es perfekt.

Ich gehe öfters mit Freunden und Bekannten in das Restaurant Blaue Ziege am Petersberg. Die Speisen dort super lecker, der Service top.Unbedingt besuchen Der junge Küchenchef kocht sowas von gut,man muss einfach mal alles ausprobieren.

Alle bestellen Gerichte waren extrem lecker! Besonders die Soße zum Hähnchen sowie die vegane Currywurst haben es uns angetan.

Wirkt wie gewollt und nicht gekonnt. Es war wirklich nicht gut. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber über den Rest möchte ich nichts schreiben.

Ich hatte die Hühnerbrust mit Cornflakeskruste, Spinat-Käse-Knödel an Pilzrahmsauce. Unglaublich lecker! Endlich (mal wieder) ein Restaurantbesuch der sich gelohnt hat. Nicht günstig, lohnt sich aber!

Ein echtes Highlight in Petersberg - Die Blaue Ziege Die Blaue Ziege ist top. Frische Zutaten sind hier Standard. Man schmeckt die Qualität auf dem Teller. Die Preise sind im Hinblick auf Regionalität und Qualität jeden Cent wert. Das Essen schmeckt fantastisch und sieht toll aus. Das Ambiente ist modern, aber gemütlich. Stylisch ohne übertrieben zu sein. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Fazit: Die Blaue Ziege ist ein Muss in Petersberg. Tolle Produkte, fairer Preis, super Ambiente. Gerne wieder!

Super Service und sehr leckeres Essen Einfach Empfehlenswert!

Unser absolutes lieblingslokal im Raum Fulda. Wenn wir Gäste haben, ist ein Abendbrot in der blauen ziege Pflicht! Lecker und frisch zubereitet lädt der Chef dazu ein auch mal etwas Neues zu probieren. Auch Vegetarier und Veganer kommen hier auf ihre Kosten. Die Mädels vom Service sind immer flink und unglaublich nett und der Chef kommt auch gern für ein persönliches pläuschen an den Tisch. Wir kommen einfach gern!

Wenn wir in der Gegend sind ist ein Besuch in der Blauen Ziege ein MUSS. Das Essen ist super lecker und der Service und das Ambiente nur noch selten so super zu finden. Der Pferdeklops ein Traum. Ein großes Lob an den Koch und das ganze Team. Wir kommen wieder..
