Today we went to the barbecue buffet in the Ziegelhütte with 13 people for our son's baptism. We were very satisfied overall. Top food. Top service. Great ambience (including the table decorated thematically, which was not explicitly discussed before). 110% recommendation! Addendum Sep 2024: My mom's 70th birthday. As always. Lonely peak. The food was terrific. And what I would like to emphasize are the extremely attentive service staff. People always asked for drinks.

We ate in this restaurant for the first time on Thursday. Since I was looking for grill buffets, this restaurant was shown to me on Google. When we arrived at 6:15 p.m. we took a seat in a pretty winter cottage. After I saw two wines on the menu that appealed to me, I was allowed to taste both before I ordered one. The white wine was very tasty. Unfortunately, I think the price for a glass is very high considering how expensive the bottle is on sale... We also ordered a water bottle. The first buffet run was semi-pleasant. Because the salmon, as well as the venison steak and the saddle of venison were dry. Which was definitely because the pieces of meat were kept warm. (If necessary, reconsider the method of preparation. So that you don't grill too many pieces of meat at once). On the second run, I specifically asked for medium meat, which was then served to me. The salmon was brought fresh, so it wasn't dry at all, but exactly as it should be. There were various different types of meat. Unfortunately there was no fillet... that would be desirable. The side bar was plentiful! I can only praise this. Unfortunately you were only allowed to take two dessert glasses... I thought that was a bit of a shame. The only fruit selection was grapes and honeydew melon. In summary, one can say that the price-performance ratio of the food is justified. We would be happy to come back and recommend you. 🌹

A very nice restaurant inside and out. At Bühfeh there is something for everyone and the service is very friendly and good. Book a seat by telephone. You can also take a lovely walk in the Schützenwald. Almost everything is also possible for wheelchair users with clothing. The paths are approximately 4km long together.

The most beautiful restaurant in Schwalmstadt! In summer with a top grill buffet and in the cold season a first-class a la carte restaurant. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful evening in the middle of the countryside, in the middle of the forest. There was a buffet which was really great. The starters were varied, from lentil salad to baked zucchini and vitello tonnato. There was pasta made from a parmesan wheel and then a large selection of grilled dishes from bratwurst, lamb, beef, pork and turkey. Everything prepared very, very tasty. The side dishes were all very tasty too. The service was warm and attentive and even though every table was occupied and it was a big celebration, there was never a lack of anything at the buffet and there were never long waiting times at the grill. Absolutely recommended and the (grill) buffet is worth its price at 29.90. (Dessert was also included, I almost forgot)

Yesterday we had dinner with 11 people in the Ziegelhütte. It was my first visit there. Just perfect in everything. Location, food and staff are just really good. 👍👍👍👍👍👍 I'll definitely come back.

We were there for the first time today I have to say there is a huge selection in the buffet but we tried a lot and unfortunately nothing blew us away in terms of taste. I tested a lot of meat, unfortunately everything was dry! Except for one piece of beef, it was almost completely raw. Otherwise even the beef fillet was dry and the veal fillet was dry. The sauces e.g. curry sauce is mayo with curry! Not really tasty Oh well, the cold fries, cold potato corners and that at the beginning of the buffet. I was really looking forward to it and was very disappointed. I also like to pay for good food, but for me that was a waste of money. Above all, the drinks are amazing... I think that should be enough for now. Price buffet 29.50 euros p. P Cola 0.4l 5.90 euros!!! Conclusion first and last time. But the service is friendly! At the end when I was paying I was asked if everything was ok, I mentioned the meat thing but I had the feeling that it wasn't well received. From what the boss said, I think it was her. "Then they would have simply gotten a new piece of meat." .... I did but everything was dry......well whatever, I definitely can't recommend it

Wow! We were here on vacation and the recommendations we got weren't too promising. The food (grill buffet) is super tasty, plus the super friendly staff. I have nothing to complain about :) Definitely worth a visit :)

The food during the summer barbecue buffet is simply unbeatably good and there is something for every taste. The outdoor ambience is very nice and quiet. When it rains there is a glass house. The employees are also quick and friendly. The boss is also very friendly now 😊. The prices are constantly increasing (i.e. every year), but it's really worth it! And prices are also rising for operators, just as they are for us. We have had to do it several times in the summer for four years because I don't know of anything comparable. So off to a delicious break.

Very nice operators still got us something to eat despite the closed company. And this was very tasty. Just all around good.

Went there again today and everything was top notch. Steak was perfect. King prawns are a dream. Salads excellent. The vegan ice cream is also highly recommended!

I will definitely go there again, very great place in the middle of the forest and the food was good all around 👍🏻

In the wonderful sunshine, a shady table under a tree, in a beautiful, rural, elegant ambience, enjoyed delicious grilled specialties from the rich buffet. We certainly weren't here for the last time this summer. The trip is definitely worth it.

Super great location, beautifully located in the forest, indoor and outdoor dining. Food was delicious and plentiful, service staff were very nice, service was quick. Great ambience, price is right. In the summer months there is always a grill buffet, lots of salads and side dishes. You are on the safe side by reserving a table. We recommend.

We were in the Ziegelhütte for the first time with our motorcycle group, the BikerTeam Hessen, and held our monthly get-together. All bikers were very pleased with the excellent cuisine and the courteous staff. The atmosphere was also very cozy and the prices were reasonable. In any case, we can recommend the Ziegelhütte with a clear conscience. We'll meet Again ...

If there is paradise on earth, then it is the Ziegelhütte restaurant in Schwalmstadt. The food was very tasty and of very high quality, beautifully prepared, after all, the eye eats with it. Very good price-performance ratio. The ambience is an absolute dream, outside in nature in a quiet atmosphere. The staff very attentive and quick to spread without being rushed. Both the grill buffet in the summer season and the a la carte meal are worth one or more visits. I always like to come back there and let myself be pampered. The entire staff (kitchen, service, the bosses personally) was very open-minded and accommodating. A big thank you to the entire Ziegelhütte team. Until the next visit!

Love eating here. Always tastes great and everything seems very harmonious. A nice little note: When customers come in or call, you quickly become very negative and make little accusations for not making a reservation. Be proud of it and try to approach it more positively and flexibly. Lg

Ich war hier vor kurzem im Rahmen eines Geburtstagsessens zu Gast, es war mein erster, sicherlich aber nicht mein letzter Besuch! Tief im Wald, bei völliger Ruhe, wird man herzlich empfangen, das Essen, nebst wirklich toller Garnitur, die auch dem Auge den Hunger nimmt, ist Klasse. Die Bedienung super freundlich! Kinder werden nicht links liegen gelassen, für mich als Familienvater ein nicht zu unterschätzender Punkt in einem Restaurant. So wird Essen für die ganze Familie zum Erlebnis. Im Außenbereich wird im Sommer Buffet angeboten, zudem gibt es für größere Feiern noch ein großes Wintergartenzelt. Für die kalte Jahreszeit sollte man für den begrenzten Platz im Haupt-Innenbereich frühzeitig einen Tisch reservieren. Also dann, bis demnächst :)

Ich habe schon viele Buffets probiert. Aber das hier ist mit Abstand das beste und vielfältigste, was ich in dieser Art gekostet habe. Es gab keine Speise, die nicht auf den Punkt war. Weiter so!!!

Es ist eine super super schöne location wir waren da auf eine Hochzeit und es war da wunder schön wenn ich nochmal heiraten würde dann würde ich da auch mein ja wort geben🥰

Ein herrliches Fleckchen Erde. Alles so liebevoll gepflegt. Genau das richtige Ambiente für romantische Abende. War wieder mal mit Sohn und Frau zum Grillen, was immer ein Highlight für uns ist. Reichlich Auswahl und alles Super lecker 😋 und ja ein zuvorkommendes nettes Personal. 😊

Wunderschöner Ort mit sehr gepflegter und leckerer Gastronomie. Abends gibt es hier bei gutem Wetter Grillbuffet mit verschiedenen Angeboten. Im Garten zu sitzen oder zu flanieren und die schönen Pflanzen zu bewundern ist ein zusätzlicher Genuss.

Ich war hier im Rahmen einer Hochzeit. Das Grill und Fleischangebot waren einfach traumhaft. Vom T-Bone über Ripple, vom Rinderfilet zur Lammkeule. Alles sehr gut. Ambiente im Glashaus sehr schön.

Eine absolute Empfehlung von uns. Das Essen war rundum perfekt. Der Service war super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Wir kommen wieder. Viele Grüße aus dem Westerwald!

Jetzt möchte ich auch eine Bewertung da lassen. Ich war mit meiner Familie des öftern zum Essen da. Im Sommer zum Grillbuffet sowie in den Herbst/Wintermonaten a la carte. Es ist jedes Mal ein Genuss. Der Service top und das Essen mega lecker. Das Ambiente sehr schön. Wer gutes Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre genießen möchte, ist in der Ziegelhütte genau richtig. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Als Hochzeitssängerin durfte ich schon mehrere Male mit dem Restaurant Ziegelhütte im Rahmen von Hochzeiten und einem "Wedding Styled Shoot" Fotoshooting zusammenarbeiten. Die Ziegelhütte stellt eine der schönsten Hochzeitslocations in der Umgebung dar. Nicht nur hat das Glashaus einen unglaublichen Charme für die Hochzeitsfeier, auch draußen bietet die Location einige Orte für tolle freie Trauungen. Generell kann man durch die abgelegene Lage der Location ganz toll und in Ruhe feiern. Das gesamte Team ist überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und professionell. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl und willkommen. Darüber hinaus ist das Essen hervorragend, besonders das Grillbuffet ist ein absolutes Highlight. Ein Gästezimmer bietet zudem die Möglichkeit, das „Getting ready“ der Braut direkt vor Ort durchzuführen. Als Hochzeitslocation kann ich die Ziegelhütte nur empfehlen und freue mich auf viele weitere gemeinsame Hochzeiten.
