Good and reasonably affordable (lunch) food

An institution in Deggendorf for decades! Mostly very well attended. Good, very attentive service. In my opinion, the so praised Deggendorfer Hell is rather average.

Very nice, modern atmosphere with great views. Very friendly service. The 4 course menu was Asian inspired.

We spontaneously visited today and were unfortunately quite disappointed. We had the following dishes: 2x grill plates, spaghetti aglio e olio, gnocchi quattro formagi. The portions were too small, the food was bland and sometimes lukewarm. The service couldn't make up for this either. The water with lemon had a strange aftertaste. The restaurant was very busy and both waiters were so busy that there was hardly any time to cash in on us. We had to wait 40 minutes before we were allowed to pay. We probably won't look here again.

Starter, wine, homemade lemonade, steaks, service, ambience, price/performance… a real pleasure across the board!! Absolutely great place ❤️❤️ keep it up!!

Overall, the food at La Padella in Deggendorf was okay, but I think the prices are excessive: over 19 euros for a fried chicken with potato salad and 8 euros for a mixed salad with nuts are too much in my opinion. The service was friendly and everything else went well.

There's definitely plenty of food there. The sauerbraten is an insider tip.
