Stylish, tastefully decorated restaurant with excellent food! My tagliatelle could have been cooked for a minute, but both it and the cordon bleu were delicious! The service was very friendly! 🤩

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Parking (for a fee) right in front, across the road. Clean restrooms. The restaurant was noisy, probably an atmosphere of young diners, which was not suitable for an older couple like us, who came to eat quietly. The food was reasonable, but did not reach the level of excellence described online and led us to deviate from our path on the main road and come here.

Delicious, fast, friendly, two burgers/fries and two Cokes €49.50. I recommend it. The prices are probably normal these days.

My Cordon Bleu was very good, the fried potatoes were only warm and with caraway, which I don't know and don't like, it would have been good if they had known that beforehand, the burger was good, the salmon too, the service still needs improvement

A very nice and chic restaurant a bit outside the city center. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent (pasta and burgers), and the portions are also very generous. You don't get a very attentive welcome from the chef very often these days.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with a fantastic, diverse selection of dishes and friendly staff. The steak was cooked medium-rare and very tasty with chanterelle mushrooms, and the cordon bleu with cranberries and fried potatoes was also highly recommended. The only thing that bothered us a little was the behavior of some of the guests there. They were playing private music on their cell phones at the table or making loud video calls at the table, even though other tables inside were occupied. We haven't experienced this before at restaurants in this price range.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner and, as is often the case, didn't have a reservation, which could have been a problem on a Saturday night! However, a table for two was quickly made available on site without any hassle. The space for the stroller was also no problem and was created by the staff in an exemplary manner and without any effort. High praise for that; restaurants rarely achieve that. The service was excellent, and the evening meal was delicious. We enjoyed it, and it's a very relaxed and comfortable place to eat!

Our highlight of the day. After escaping from a 4-star wellness hotel, we were passing through Deggendorf looking for a nice place to eat. Google suggested Maximilians. It was a super-positive surprise. The website and reality matched exactly. The service was super fast, very attentive, super friendly, and cool. There were little greetings from the kitchen, and they constantly asked if everything was okay. The ambiance is very stylish and simple. A truly cozy little place where everything fits perfectly, the food is delicious, and beautifully presented.

Came here spontaneously after a hike. Not quite as inviting from the outside (right next to an intersection) but the service, the prices and especially the food can't be beat. Schnitzel very juicy, salad dressing very very fine and the salad was very fresh. The blonde waitress Jana was very friendly, including to our four-legged friends 🐺and quick. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area. 😁

We would like to express our disappointment at your restaurant's non-compliance with the reservation conditions. We have reserved a table in advance and expressly stated that we would like to spend a longer period of time with you. We were confirmed that the table would be available to us without a time limit. However, during our dinner we were unexpectedly asked to leave the table at a certain time. This marred our experience and caused inconvenience. We trusted that the agreement would be honored, but unfortunately we were disappointed. We ask for an explanation of the situation and hope that such misunderstandings can be avoided in the future.

Very good food, top service, hubde-friendly and great homemade lemonade. We really had a very relaxing time here and the staff catered to our every need. EC card theft is also no problem. Unfortunately, it is still not a given these days. If necessary, there is also a wheelchair-accessible entrance here.

When the waitress says "I really enjoy working here" it means something. We were passing through and stopped here. The food (Cordon Blue and Wienerschitzel) were at least as outstanding as the coffee. Absolutely recommended.

Visit in the evening on January 4th, 2025: Waitress super friendly, great atmosphere, food prepared relatively quickly and perfectly, all food at the table was served at the same time. Totally delicious, absolutely recommended. Definitely coming back. Without a prior reservation, you're unlikely to get a spot in the evening, so always call and register.

Called at short notice that day after a disappointed Christmas market. Four people, very nice contact on the phone. Despite reservations, we still received confirmation. Very good location, there is plenty of parking nearby. Service, food and ambience deserve the stars, would have liked to have given more. Will definitely visit again next time in the area. The Maximilians restaurant is really nicely designed. The food was super tasty and arrived at our table quickly. The service was quick and very nice. Unfortunately the volume was a bit loud, but I guess that can't be helped given the room. We can recommend everyone to eat there.

I recently went to Maximilians in Deggendorf with my family and was looking forward to a nice Sunday lunch with good food. The atmosphere was immediately inviting – the restaurant is stylishly decorated and we felt welcome from the start. The service was really excellent: the waitress was friendly, attentive and always there to make sure we didn't lack anything. I really can't complain about anything on this point. But unfortunately the Wiener Schnitzel – the “star” of my meal – did not live up to my expectations. I was looking forward to a tender, airy veal schnitzel that was perfectly souffled. Unfortunately, I was disappointed: the schnitzel had brownish-black spots in places, indicating that it was probably over-fried or not enough oil or butter was used. This meant that the schnitzel lacked its typical, slightly “bloated” breading and therefore lost some of its lightness and enjoyment. It was a real shame because I would have liked the quality of the schnitzel to have been able to keep up with that of the service and the ambience. Overall, it was still pleasant thanks to the great atmosphere and the wonderful staff - but I simply expected more from the Wiener Schnitzel.

I had a wonderful experience at Maximilian Restaurant. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara, an Aperol cocktail, and crème brûlée—all were fantastic! The food was flavorful, the Aperol perfectly balanced, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending. The service was great, and the whole atmosphere made for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Highly recommend!

An absolute MUST if you are in Deggendorf or the surrounding area!! 👍 We ended up here looking for a restaurant. Thank God! Even the first contact was super friendly, which is no longer a given these days. 🙏 And it only got better throughout the evening. Even with the decoration and all the utensils you can immediately see the attention to detail and that the work is done with passion and heart and soul. 🥰 The food is literally outstanding. Deliciously prepared and extremely appetizingly presented. 🤤 Everything that was brought past us from the kitchen looked delicious! And the Secco is a dream! 🥂 Here the price/performance ratio is still 100% right! Max does magic in the kitchen and Moritz from the service is completely enchanting, charming and a ray of sunshine! ❤ We definitely have to come back during our vacation. And we can only encourage everyone to do the same. It's definitely worth it!! Warmest and sincere recommendation 👍🙏

Were there in the early afternoon, so it was pretty empty but every table was reserved for the evening. I had already inquired online where we were going to eat on our day trip and it was immediately clear due to the many other great reviews. An incredibly beautifully decorated restaurant, a warm welcome and super friendly. The dishes on the menu sounded delicious, but we were hungry for burgers - we both had the Maximilians with steakhouse fries - absolutely delicious. The burger bun was definitely homemade or bought from a special bakery - not a standard mass-produced product. A visit is absolutely recommended

Yesterday evening we were passing through Deggendorf (from the corner of Mönchengladbach). I found Maximilian's via Google and the rest agreed. At 7:30 p.m. every seat in the beautiful looking interior was occupied, so we were given a table outside on the terrace with two lights so we could see something😄. It was a really nice evening, not least thanks to Moritz from Maximilian's, with whom we had a lovely chat and even got two schnapps for one of us on the occasion of his birthday - super nice! The food was also absolutely delicious, plentiful and beautifully prepared - the eye eats too! We'll be happy to come back when we stop in Deggendorf again next year. The food is very good and tasty. Sesame chicken with salad dressing is delicious, Viennese style schnitzel is also great, tagliatelle with scampi is fantastic, scallops with scampi and salad are very good. I can recommend everyone to eat here and it's great value for money. 😘😘😘😘

I had a Caesar salad which was just green lettuce, croutons, parmesan and chicken strips. I would have hoped for other vegetables on my salad and the chicken strips were too salty.

Very good food. Perfectly cooked beef, and the Maximilian burger an explosion of flavor. Very helpful staff. You can talk to them both in German and in English. Impeccable service. It took a little longer than we expected, but it was worth the wait. It is worth deviating from the road for such a feast.

We had dinner with a larger group. The staff was very nice and friendly. Food and drinks arrived quickly and were freshly prepared. The dishes were very nicely prepared and the taste was convincing. The staff were very kind to the toddler we had with us and they even played with him so that the parents could sit in peace for a bit. Of course you don't expect that, but it was very, very nice. Everyone was consistently friendly. There was a water bowl for the dog straight away without us asking. I (autistic) felt very comfortable because it is a small restaurant and there is not a lot of noise and it is very well separated by curtain threads and therefore you have privacy. The light is pleasant. The furnishings are modern and everything is clean. We would like to come again.
