Food top, service flop This was my first visit to this restaurant and I reserved the table at relatively short notice on the same day via OpenTable. The two of us went to Paul’s Restaurant for dinner, but unfortunately the evening was anything but recommended for my taste. The ambience The restaurant is located in a hotel and is separated from the lobby by a room divider. The decor is tasteful and modern, but our table was positioned right next to the lobby. This resulted in hotel guests sitting immediately next to us, chatting or exercising their dogs, which disrupted the atmosphere. The reception The reception was initially positive: we were friendly escorted to our table and the mood was good. The restaurant was almost fully booked, including a long table of over 20 people as well as other tables of four and six, mostly occupied by well-dressed older guests, families and couples. Overall, the audience was pleasantly mixed. The service The service team consisted of three people: an older gentleman (presumably the chef de service), a lady and a younger gentleman. With the restaurant almost full, we knew the team would be under pressure. Still, we expected to receive at least basic attention. Fortunately, the food was served quickly and our starters and main courses arrived at the table warm. But there were problems when the main course was served: the side dishes and sauce were missing, and we were not informed that these would be added later. The young waiter put the plates down and immediately disappeared without listening to us or noticing our empty wine glasses. The missing components were brought in a short time later, but the process seemed uncoordinated and careless. From this point on, it was almost impossible to get the service staff's attention again. Our waitress, who was actually responsible for our table, repeatedly ignored us and seemed to be mostly concerned with a neighboring table. Even after our main course was cleared away, our empty wine glasses and the fact that we would have liked dessert or coffee went unnoticed - for a full 30 minutes. The Chef de Service, who looked after some of the tables in a very charming and attentive manner, didn't look at us the entire evening. While other guests were proactively looked after by him, with wine refills and friendly conversation, we felt invisible. His preferential treatment of some tables was so noticeable that it was almost unpleasant. The food The kitchen deserves great praise: the dishes were excellently prepared and tasted of the highest standard. Unfortunately, the quality of the cuisine could not compensate for the disappointment in the service. Conclusion My evening at Paul’s Restaurant leaves a bitter aftertaste. The food was excellent and the decor is attractive. But the discrepancy in service - from above-average attentiveness for some guests to complete ignorance for others - is unacceptable. Every guest should feel welcome and treated equally. I hope that this was a one-off slip-up and that the service team will be more sensitive to all guests in the future. However, in its current form I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very rustic restaurant. In summer with a large beer garden. Fast and friendly service. The boss likes to go from table to table and greet regular guests. Delicious and rich food. One of the few taverns where you can still get must

Very nice little Asian snack bar with a large selection of dishes. The food tasted very good and was great value for money. Food must be ordered inside but will be served outside. Outdoor seating right on the sidewalk and right next to a street with hardly any traffic. Great for a quick, cheap hunger.

I had dinner this evening, I ordered cheese spaetzle and my wife ordered turkey schnitzel, both were very tasty. Service was very great and very nice

Hier kann man eine sehr schöne Zeit mit dem Camper verbringen, in einem wunderschönen Ambiente, viel Natur, Tiere auf dem Hof, schöne Wanderungen, gute Fahrradwege. Der Platz ist großzügig bemessen. Stromanschluss ist vorhanden. Möglichkeit, die Chemietoilette und Grauwasser zu entleeren, ist gegeben. Wasser zum auffüllen ist da, jedoch kein Trinkwasser. Toiletten sind vorhanden ( sehr sauber ), keine Duschmöglichkeit. Einkaufsmöglichkeit im Ort, ca. 700 m Laufzeit, genauso Bushaltestellen, um die naheliegenden Ortschaften ( Wangen, Ravensburg, Lindau...) zu besuchen. In dem hauseigenen Restaurant kann man wunderbar essen. Gastgeber/Inhaber und Angestellte sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

I'm so glad I gave this place a chance! It's truly some of the best food I've eaten since moving here. The ingredients were super fresh, the portions were huge and the prices were fantastic. Additionally, the service was quick and friendly. The restaurant itself was very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended!

8 p.m., 7 people, reserved in the next room. Great menu with illustrations of the (mostly local and regional) suppliers and business partners - very commendable! Nice, friendly service, very good, professional and quick service. Excellent, home-style German cuisine. Generous portions. A little more expensive, but great quality. Lots of parking spaces directly at the inn in close proximity to the BAB 96 junction Wangen-Nord. Absolute recommendation, especially for travelers who don't want to live solely on fast food. 4.5 points: half a star deducted for the outdated furnishings in the guest rooms. Toilets in the basement: very clean, but also in need of renovation.

After our reserved table had to be canceled a few months ago (because the chef was sick), we made the second attempt a few days ago and it was definitely worth it! Very, very friendly and nice people, attentive service and absolutely delicious food! The sun manages to bring back the whole old village feel and makes you think of what it was like when every village had its 2-3 well-known farms! Everything was just right for us and we will definitely enjoy going there again! The price is also absolutely okay, and you also get really great cooking quality when you eat!

We ate well, in a very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The inn is very nicely decorated, someone has taste.
