I ate at this restaurant when I happened to stop one evening during a long drive. It's a great place! The food is fresh and delicious, and the service was impeccable. Friendly, fast, and efficient. Perfect!

Very friendly service. The food was good. The portions were a bit small for the price. A side salad costs €6.90 and, given the high prices, could have been included as it used to be.

I love this restaurant; the food is really good here, and the drinks are also very good. The service is excellent and the waitresses are incredibly friendly. Above all, the owner takes care of every guest and is a very nice lady. You can also host wonderful parties there; I was there for a birthday party, and it was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended! We regularly visit the restaurant at Kreuzplatz and always feel completely at home. The beer garden under the shady trees is simply gorgeous. Service is super friendly, fast, and welcoming. You always feel welcome, whether with family or just sitting at the bar alone with a beer. The food is excellent; my absolute recommendation: the currywurst with fries! My wife often tries other dishes, and they're always delicious. The cocktails are fresh and homemade, and there's a great selection of drinks to go with them. My highlight is the Post Zwickl on tap...really delicious! In summary: Great atmosphere, great service, delicious food & drinks—everything just works here!

Restaurant Kreuzplatz is a very well-known restaurant in Wangen. The entire team is very professional and attentive. The owner, Herriet, takes care of all guests. She truly ensures their satisfaction. Kudos to her for that. The most important thing, of course, is the food. I can give it a full 5 stars. I eat there often and have never been disappointed. The prices are super fair. So if there are any people in Wangen or outside of Wangen, go there. The location is also very good. I highly recommend Kreuzplatz.

We arrived 1 hour before closing. We had traveled and were hungry. Understandably, the food selection was already limited, but they brought 2 freshly prepared schnitzel & fries combos. It was both visually and tastefully pleasant and delicious, and the quantity was just right. The place is pleasant, cozy, with paintings all around the wall. There is also a terrace area. The lady serving was very nice, it was no problem that we ordered in English. We would have liked to stay longer, but we didn't want to make things difficult for them before closing, so we paid immediately and left. Cash and card payments are also accepted. Recommended place! We arrived one hour before closing. We had arrived and were hungry. Of course the selection of dishes was already limited, but two freshly prepared schnitzel-fries combinations were served. It was both visually and tasty very delicious and the quantity was just right. The place is pleasant, cozy and decorated with paintings on the walls. And gibt auch eine Terrasse. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, und es war kein Problem, dass wir auf Englisch bestellten. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben, wollten es ihnen aber vor Ladenschluss nicht noch schwerer machen, also zahlten wir sofort und gingen. Sie akeptieren Bar- und Kartenzahlung. A recommended restaurant!

Beer garden vibe with friendly, attentive service. We had zander fillet with potatoes and roasted onions with spaetzle, both very tasty. If I'm in the area again, I would come back. It seems to be very popular with the locals, too.

The ambiance is also great: modern, stylish, yet cozy. The location right on Kreuzplatz perfectly rounds off the experience – you sit quietly, overlooking the action, and simply feel at home. In short: If you want to eat well in Wangen, you can't miss Kreuzplatz. We'll definitely be back!

I went to the beer garden for lunch for the first time today. The food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic; I even give it extra stars. What was definitely a negative was the smoker who later sat down at the next table and smoked over us. At least we had already eaten, otherwise I would have paid and left. Since smoking is allowed anywhere in the beer garden, we will definitely not go there again in the future, despite the great food, service, and atmosphere. What a shame about such a great beer garden.

5 stars – an all-round successful visit! We absolutely loved our stay at this restaurant. The food was excellent – ​​fresh, lovingly prepared and tasted at a top level. But what really made the visit to the restaurant on Kreuzplatz special was the service: our waiter Florent was exceptionally attentive, warm and professional. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. The sauce tasted like bad gravy. The salad wasn't particularly good either. The drinks tasted pretty bad. However, the service was good.

During a day trip to Wangen we stopped at the restaurant on Kreuzplatz for lunch. We ate the Cordon Bleu special of the day with fries, sauce (you don't really need it) and pear with cranberries. It tasted very good, was served quickly (i.e. within reason) and was plentiful. The best thing was the price: 14.90 euros. You really can't complain about that. Also a friendly waiter.

The location for our birthday party (private event) was simply fantastic! All of our guests had a wonderful time. The food, drinks, and, above all, the service were outstanding. Many thanks again to the entire Kreuzplatz team.

That was once again a very nice surprise. It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious burger. And the chilli cheese fries were also great. Crispy, hot and very spicy. The service was very friendly. The only detraction is the ambience, but we were also inside and the decor is a bit bland, but the service and food make up for it. From now on I know where I go when I want a delicious burger!

We were there after the 2024 State Garden Show. I was very impressed by the young man in service. No matter how large the groups were that entered the restaurant over time, he had everything under control. He didn't appear stressed at all and maintained his friendliness. In addition, everything was on the table quickly. The place was super clean, but the decor didn't suit my personal taste. I had the feeling that the furnishings didn't harmonize with each other and were rather gradually replaced. Our food, we were there for the first time, was good. I had the currywurst and my partner had the burger.

Well-attended restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. We got a seat straight away without a reservation - we were lucky, as it turned out later. Poultry burger is a good 10cm high. Side dishes lavish. We liked it very much. Portion is really big. Unfortunately the place is very noisy.

The salad was okay, but the turkey was too dry. The breaded schnitzels were very unusual. The meat was round like a large thaler. The breading was not loose and was sometimes thicker than the meat. And the meat was very fatty.

We were there for dessert on the culinary city tour of Wangen and felt very welcome by the super friendly team! We would like to thank you again for the great public viewing afterwards with great seats in the beer garden and fast and courteous service. We were traveling with 9 women from the Utersum (Föhr😉) traditional costume group and stopped at this cozy restaurant. Even though the kitchen was about to close for the day, we all had very tasty food á la carte. The tarte flambée was world class. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. If we ever come back, we'd love to come back.

Standard setup. Menu was clearly laid out. There was an extra ticket for the children. Our meal consisted of burgers with potato wedges, onion roast with spaetzle and sauce, children's schnitzel with fries, nuggets with fries. The taste was a bit underseasoned. But the children were very happy. Overall, the price-performance ratio was okay. 2 adults and 2 children, full for €80 Our recommendation for quick and inexpensive cuisine, e.g. B. after a visit to the State Garden Show or the beautiful old town.

The cocktails are very good. The tarte flambée was good, but the kitchen was closed at 3 p.m. and there was ONLY tarte flambée. I came here specifically for spaetzle and didn't get any. 2x cocktails and 2x tarte flambée cost us €38.50. Staff was nice.
