We had dinner here with the family today. The good reviews are absolutely true, very tasty. Update Because it was so good on Easter Monday, we went there again today. Unfortunately, today the asparagus hollandaise sauce no longer had egg and the portions were also a lot smaller. Conclusion sometimes good sometimes less 😄😄

Very authentic! Flädlesuppe, Maultaschen and Nonnenpfürzle are very good! The lentils were a bit too runny for me, but that may be true regionally - I know it a little differently from Stuttgart. All in all, really worth a visit. Very friendly staff! Greetings from Berlin

Kässpätzle very salty and seemingly cooked in broth. Salad was ok. Went there again after a year and was disappointed. Everyone's food was mediocre. The sauce seems to have been made with packets, the meat wasn't of good quality either. Salad was good for that.

A good restaurant in the old town of Wangen. The service was very friendly and attentive. Despite the large number of guests, there were no long waiting times. The food is highly recommended, tastes very good and the portions are sufficient. The price-performance ratio is very good. The ambience is rustic and yet a bit older, but the food fully compensates for this. Anyone who appreciates good home-style cuisine is in really good hands here.

Were in Wangen for the first time. And for the first time in Lamb in Wangen. Would definitely go back to Lamm for dinner next time. We both absolutely loved our food.

You just have to say it: if you want to eat well, this restaurant is definitely the place to do it. The food is excellent. The service was friendly. You don't have to wait unnecessarily long. We were here for dinner at Christmas and New Year's Eve last year. The innkeeper always tries to find somewhere for those who decide to stay at short notice. Thank you that such economies still exist.

We were at the Gasthaus Lamm on Saturdays at the beginning of November. As a precaution, I reserved a table for the evening while strolling through Wangen in the morning. Which was a good idea as it would get quite crowded as the evening progressed. The service was very friendly and also helped with the selection. The beer/radler was very tasty. First of all we had a very good, warming thread soup. For the main course we had a hunter's schnitzel with mushroom sauce and homemade spaetzle and an Allgäuerleckerli schnitzel with tomatoes, onions and mushrooms gratinated on homemade spaetzle. Both dishes were very good and sufficient. The inn is cozy, popular with young and old and the price-performance ratio is definitely right here.

Ok, the inn was full, we had reserved a place so there was no problem. But waiting over 1.5 hours for the food is very borderline. Unfortunately, a word or gesture of apology was not necessary. There was no apology for the fact that there were all the spaetzle and we had to reorder. A pale aftertaste remains. Too bad

During a trip we asked about a restaurant in the city that still served hearty Swabian cuisine. The GASTHAUS LAMM was then recommended to us. Since we didn't know that you should pre-order, we immediately tried to get a seat. We were allowed to sit at the regulars' table with a friendly older couple. They were regulars and we had a nice conversation. The food was very tasty and the portions are generous. The prices are fair and cheap. Lentils with spaetzle and string sausages. The string sausages were from a jar, the lentils from a can. The dish is advertised as a Swabian specialty. The only thing that was special was the bland taste of the whole dish. It tastes much better in our canteen. Overall a total disappointment. Dear lamb team, I was in their restaurant on Saturday, September 21st at 6:15 p.m. and can probably tell whether the string sausages were made by a butcher or come from a can.

There were 16 people and pre-ordered food. Waited 1/2 hour for drinks and 3/4 hour for food.

What is so special about real German inns? Well, relatively simple: down-to-earth, regional and delicious food! Warm service! Rustic atmosphere! All of this can be found here, just as the heart sometimes desires. No more words are needed. Unreservedly recommended!!!

Finally been to Wangen again after 11 years...the lamb still tastes wonderful! Very tasty food, fast and attentive service and friendly treatment of our children. We're already looking forward to our next visit (hopefully it won't take as long this time).

We were lucky enough to get a spot in the outdoor area of ​​the Gasthaus Lamm, which made our visit a successful experience from the start. After a short and friendly greeting, we decided on two refreshing beers and chose the “Wangemer Legende” with our meal – a house specialty that impressed us completely. The dish consisted of a perfectly grilled pork loin steak, garnished with crispy fried onions, a hearty Maultaschen, a tasty cabbage wrap and creamy cheese spaetzle. The portion was generous and just right for us. We were particularly impressed by the juicy pork steak – it was cooked to perfection, tender and aromatic. The Maultaschen also deserve a special mention: it was the best I've ever eaten, perfectly seasoned and with a wonderful texture. The side dishes harmonized perfectly with the main course. The sauerkraut was nicely balanced, not too sour, but pleasantly mild. The cheese spaetzle were creamy and had a delicious, light cheese note that rounded off the dish perfectly. The atmosphere at Gasthaus Lamm was warm and relaxed, and the service was attentive and friendly. We felt completely at home and can only warmly recommend the inn. Anyone looking for traditional cuisine will get their money's worth here. We therefore give it 5 out of 5 stars with a clear conscience.

We were there for dinner. Very good, tasty food. You should make a reservation as it was already very busy in the early evening. Which we always consider a compliment to an inn when the locals meet there.

Unfortunately, despite big portions of food, not bad food quality and quick and pleasant (would seem to be) service, I can't give more than 2 stars because we were overcharged about €4. This is not acceptable and I had an impression that this happened only because we are foreign tourists. They were showing they do not speak english and only smiling, serving fast, then after a generous meal they gave us a bill which was much higher than the dishes I ordered from the menu. I feel scammed only because I could not communicate german with the waiter, who was also probably the owner. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Scamming or miscalculating is not acceptable.

Food very good. Local dishes. \ Came with us 5 minutes before the kitchen closed 7 people and all received complete and good meals.

The cheese on the Maultaschen was too much. Maultaschen very salty and cold. The salad was good. The Maultaschen at the neighboring table were also oversalted. The waiter said this couldn't be the case.

There were four of us eating. After a long wait, each meal came to the table after about 10 minutes. The fourth meal was even completely forgotten. That can happen sometimes, but there wasn't even an apology from service. The service (three female service staff that evening) were completely overwhelmed. Card payment was only possible after repeated requests. The taste of the food was average. We would not recommend a visit to the restaurant. It's actually a shame... but the truth.

We ate at the Lamm inn after the LGS. We only ate one pork. Sausage salad, but at the table next door we saw what we were missing😋 and in the end the waitress ordered us a taxi. Great, thank you 👍

We ate here as a family on 18-7-2024. I had the cordon bleu with fries. The cordon bleu was very good. Unfortunately the fries were fried too hard. I thought it was a shame that there wasn't some salad with it. The service was very busy and I had the feeling that they could not handle the crowds. It took quite some time before we got an extra drink. And at the end my wife also paid for an extra beer. They still wanted to bring him, but we wanted to continue. In retrospect, I expected a little more from the best restaurant in Wangen im Allgäu.

Indescribably good regional cuisine. I shared the three things with my wife: lentils with spaetzle, cabbage donuts and Maultaschen and a large salad and that was exactly the right choice. Excellent food!! Nice service and sitting outside was really nice. The interior is a bit old but everything is clean. Food was very cheap. We will definitely come back but not because of the price but because of the quality!

A real “feast”! The food was delicious and the drinks were also refreshing and wholesome. We had “Three kinds of lentils with cabbage donuts” and “G’melte Maultaschen with potato salad”, with an elderberry spritzer and a shandy. The staff was very helpful and courteous and the prices, despite the state garden show, were still cheap compared to the quantity and quality. We would recommend the restaurant at any time.

Nachdem unser monatlicher Vierer-Stammtisch die Lokalität immer wieder wechselt, waren wir zum ersten Mal im Gasthaus Lamm. Wir wurden sowohl vom Wirt wie auch der Bedienung sehr freundlich sowie zeitnah bedient und fühlten uns auf Anhieb sehr wohl. Das Essen war überaus lecker und reichlich. Insgesamt ein dickes Lob...wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr gute regionale Küche, üppige Portionen, die satt machen und preislich sehr fair sind. Bedienung ist herzlich, freundlich und aufmerksam. Ambiente ist gemütlich, authentisch und rustikal. Sehr schön! Weiterso!🤗
