und vor allen Dingen auch in Pauls Restaurant. Leider konnten wir dieses Mal nicht den schönen Gastgarten genießen, das Wetter war doch zu kalt für uns. Aber umso gemütlicher war es in der wunderbar gestylten "Gaststube" mit dem wunderbaren und aufmerksamen und herzlichen Service von Stefan und seinem Team. Leckere Weine zu einem annehmbaren Preis konnten wir auch genießen. Wir wollten das Menu mit 4 Gängen genießen, mussten allerdings nach 3 Gängen klein bei geben. Die Portionen waren für unser Alter einfach zu groß. Als Überraschung gab es dann noch einen Kaiserschmarren vom Haus - einfach tolle Gastfreundschaft auf hohem Niveau. Unser neuer Favorit in der heimatlichen Umgebung. Herzlichen Dank für den tollen Abend.

A very good restaurant in the upper price range. I had dinner here with friends and was extremely satisfied with the food on offer. The food is of very high quality and absolutely worth the price. My saltimbocca was exceptionally good and perfectly cooked. I also really enjoyed the dessert. Downside: I was a little disappointed with the cappuccino, which tasted more like milk and hardly any coffee. The service was very attentive and looked after the guests very friendly and extremely well. I was also very satisfied with the advice on wine selection.

I can thoroughly praise the restaurant. The courteous service would have earned 6 stars. I had a business meeting over lunch. The ambience was suitable for the occasion, plenty of space and distance from the next table enabled an open exchange in a quiet atmosphere. The menu selection was creative and the quantity was (too?) generous for a daily menu. I'll definitely come back.

We went to Paul's Restaurant for lunch. The online reservation was straightforward, and our table request was fulfilled without any problems. The service was very friendly, attentive, and professional. We had the lunch menu (soup and pasta) and were thoroughly impressed. The cream of black salsify soup was amazing, the pasta was superb, and the portion was huge (almost too much for us!). The quality and taste were superb. We will definitely be back. The only thing we could improve: we parked in the hotel parking lot (4 of the 6 spaces were free) and asked inside if it was okay for the 1.5-hour lunch. The lady at the reception desk was unfortunately not so enthusiastic and said, "Yes this time, but not in the future." It would be great if we could park somewhere for the 2-hour lunch :) Perhaps this could be improved, for example, with a few short-term or restaurant parking spaces? That would be great :)

Everything is just perfect here! Top-notch food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere!

Making a reservation through Open Table was easy. We received a very friendly welcome, and the dog was immediately given water. The ambiance is very pleasant, with the open-plan interior and widely spaced tables. The service was very attentive and offered good recommendations. Even the aperitif was Christmassy and very tasty. The pumpkin soup was divine! The goat cheese was wonderfully creamy with delicious caramel and salad dressing. After all the delicious courses, there was a surprise birthday cake for the birthday boy. Thank you for the lovely evening...we'll definitely be back.

Great Food, Terrible Service This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I had reserved a table on relatively short notice that same day via OpenTable. The two of us went for dinner at Paul's Restaurant, but unfortunately, the evening was anything but recommendable for my taste. The Ambience The restaurant is located in a hotel and is separated from the lobby by a partition. The decor is tasteful and modern, but our table was positioned right next to the lobby. This meant that hotel guests were sitting right next to us, chatting or playing with their dogs, which spoiled the atmosphere. The Reception The reception was initially positive: We were politely escorted to our table, and the atmosphere was good. The restaurant was almost completely full, including a long table with over 20 people, as well as other tables of four and six, mostly occupied by well-dressed older guests, families, and couples. The clientele was overall pleasantly diverse. The Service The service team consisted of three people: an older gentleman (presumably the head waiter), a woman, and a younger gentleman. Since the restaurant was almost full, we knew the team would be under pressure. Nevertheless, we expected to receive at least basic attention. The food was thankfully served quickly, and our starters and main courses arrived warm. However, problems arose as soon as the main course was served: the side dishes and sauce were missing, and we weren't informed that they would be served later. The young waiter set down the plates and immediately disappeared without listening to us or acknowledging our empty wine glasses. Although the missing items arrived shortly afterwards, the process seemed uncoordinated and uncaring. From this point on, it was almost impossible to regain the attention of the service staff. Our waitress, who was supposed to be in charge of our table, repeatedly ignored us and seemed primarily concerned with a neighboring table. Even after our main course was cleared, our empty wine glasses and the fact that we would have liked dessert or coffee went unnoticed – for a full 30 minutes. The head waiter, who very charmingly and attentively attended to some tables, didn't even glance at us the entire evening. While he proactively attended to other guests, refilling our wines and engaging in friendly conversation, we felt invisible. His preferential treatment of some tables was so noticeable that it was almost unpleasant. The Food The kitchen deserves great praise: The dishes were excellently prepared and tasted of the highest quality. Unfortunately, the quality of the food couldn't compensate for the disappointment with the service. Conclusion My evening at Paul's Restaurant left a bitter aftertaste. The food was excellent, and the decor is appealing. However, the discrepancy in service – ranging from above-average attentiveness for some guests to complete disregard for others – is unacceptable. Every guest should feel welcome and treated equally. I hope this was a one-time oversight and that the service team will be more sensitive to all guests in the future. However, in its current state, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We were here for breakfast with a large group. The price of €22 per breakfast is still reasonable. The quality of the food is good, but there are no fresh fried eggs or omelets. The service is friendly, but it's self-service. What's a complete no-go, however, is that for that price, you have to pay an extra €3.40 for a second coffee! Not to mention that they might offer a glass of Prosecco.

The four of us had a very nice evening in a perfect atmosphere. It is really beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The subtle yet sufficient lighting was particularly nice. It was wonderful to have a conversation as there was very good room acoustics with subtle music. We were warmly welcomed by the outstanding Keller Stefan, and he accompanied us through the evening with great expertise and attentive service. He responded to all requests, he was quick, simply an asset The food was wonderful, a great mix on the menu, something for everyone Huge praise to the kitchen crew. That's exactly the place she was missing Please keep it up.

We had arranged to have brunch with a group who were staying at the hotel. Information was €22 per person, which is absolutely ok. I was a little disappointed with the selection, but it was ok. I can't really judge the service as it was a buffet. When it came to paying, I was speechless. The hotel guests paid €17 - that's ok too. But we had two coffees and actually had to pay €3.60 for the second one. This is absolutely not normal. I thought that was cheeky

Pauls Restaurant passt hervorragend ins moderne Vier-Sterne-Hotel 4K. Beides ist seit Mai 2024 unsere zweite Heimat geworden, da wir sehr oft die herrliche Landesgartenschau in Wangen besuchen. Die GastgeberInnen sind im Restaurant wie Hotel überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit! So kommt man auch nach der LGS gerne wieder. Das Restaurant mit wunderschönem Garten entspricht dem Ambiente des gesamten Hauses, gehoben nobel, aber preislich sehr fair. Die Karte hat einen "Nachteil": man ist stets zu kurz da, um alles geniessen zu können. Und zudem lockt die Altstadt: in wenigen Gehminuten konkurrenzieren zahlreiche gastliche Häuser vom Frühstück bis zum Schlummertrunk mit dem Pauls, doch Auswahl, Ruhe, Gediegenheit ziehen uns immer wieder "nach Hause zurück", ins Pauls. Vom Frühstück bis zum Schlummertrunk, es gibt von diesem herrlichen Treffpunkt nur Positives zu berichten. Und auch unsere Freunde, die einige Zeit mit uns hier verbrachten, waren voll des Lobes.

Eating there was a very pleasant experience! Starter Vitello Tonato, the main course grilled sea bream and for dessert Creme Brülle! All dishes were excellent in terms of taste and appearance! This restaurant is outstanding and quite possibly hard to beat! We felt very comfortable, right from the warm welcome and throughout the rest of the evening, the restaurant manager and the entire staff looked after us in an exemplary and extremely friendly manner! We were very satisfied!! I can absolutely and without hesitation recommend Paul's! We felt completely in good hands!!

Das Wetter war gut, wir konnten auf der einladend eingerichteten Terrasse essen. Um es kurz zu machen: Jeder einzelne Gang war großartig, sprich geschmacklich und optisch herausragend. Dem Essen in nichts nachstehend der Service unter Herrn Stefan Fuchs-Pavlits. Chapeau, truly outstanding!!

Ich hatte ein mega Erlebnis im Restaurant Pauls! Das Essen war super lecker, besonders die Asia Bowl mit den frischen Zuckerschoten. Die Atmosphäre war total gemütlich. Ein extra Plus: der süße Typ aus der Küche mit dem Mittelscheitel, er sieht echt gut aus und ist definitiv ein Grund, wiederzukommen. Haha

Very tasty food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. It is comfortable, high quality and has a pleasant volume. You can hear quiet music from the other guests, but you can have a wonderful conversation. Bowl, risotto, fried chicken have all been very tasty so far. Good wine selection

Really delicious things and a super cozy atmosphere. In summer you can also sit outside. There was a lot to choose from, but I would have been happy with a little more fruit (mango, pineapple, passion fruit, etc.)

A beautifully decorated restaurant. We had our Christmas party yesterday with wonderful food, perfect service and a beautifully decorated table. We'd love to come back.

Restaurant was so good, clean and good taste. Especially, all staffs always provide good service. Moreover, the hotel here also fantastic with very cozy, cleaned room, and very nice service from all staff. They were very helpful for my first time in this town.

We came across this beautifully decorated restaurant by chance. To get to the point: we have rarely eaten so excellently. The menu is relatively small, but every taste will get their money's worth here. The dishes tasted really fantastic and varied. An absolute recommendation! Also worth mentioning is the incredibly attentive and courteous service. Overall, the restaurant is a tip for those who want to enjoy first-class cuisine and service. By the way, the price-performance ratio is more than fair.

Das Hotel: Das 4K Hotel ist ein sehr modernes mit sehr viel Geschmack und Liebe eingerichtetes Hotel. Das Restaurant: Wir waren mit der Familie im Restaurant Paul"s beim Essen. Das Restaurant und auch die Bar sind sehr schön gestaltet. Man fühlt sich eigentlich eher wie in einer Lounge, weniger in einem Restaurant. Die Atmosphäre ist aufgelockert, Restaurantgäste und Gäste an der Bar oder auch auf einen Drink in einer Sitzgruppe, alles ist vertreten Menüauswahl: Kleine, übersichtliche Karte und dennoch für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Vom klassischen Cordon Bleu bis hin zum Thai Curry. Qualität und Geschmack: Alle Gerichte die wir an diesem Abend hatten wurden sehr schön auf dem Teller präsentiert. Die ganze Familie war begeistert und mein Thai Curry war eine echte Geschmacksexplosion. Ich musste nicht nachwürzen, es war einfach perfekt. Portionsgrößen: Ausreichend, ich hätte gerne etwas mehr gehabt, weil es eben auch so lecker war. Preise: €€ - €€€ Im oberen Drittel, allerdings gibt es bezüglich der Qualität nur wenig Vergleichbares in Wangen Fazit: Sehr gerne wieder

Very clean, well organized restaurant. The food was great, the waitresses were extremely polite and accommodating. I felt very comfortable and can strongly recommend the restaurant. There are special dishes with a well-thought-out interaction. You can also just have a drink in the evening, there is a great selection of wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.

Unglaublich schönes Restaurant mit einer gut ausgewählten Anzahl an Gerichten. Super aufmerksames Personal und ganz tolles Ambiente. Gerichte sind von der Portion und vom Preis,eher an hochpreisigen Restaurants orientiert. Diese sind ihr Geld jedoch wert. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp, um etwas trinken zu gehen,da das Ambiente und die Getränkekarte auch sehr dazu einladen. Hat meinen ersten Aufenthalt in Wangen auf jeden Fall bereichert! ☀️

Tolles Ambiente. Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Speisekarte sehr klein und hochpreisig. Leider auch die Portionen eher nicht sättigend. Geschmacklich aber lecker. Zum etwas trinken gehen für mich der absolute Geheimtipp - allein schon wegen der Öffnungszeiten. In Wangen ist inzwischen ja ziemlich tote Hose. Essen gehen eher nein.
