Beautiful ambiance, just what you'd expect from an Alpine inn. The service was pleasant and friendly. The cheese spaetzle was delicious, but could have been spicier. I particularly like the somewhat larger vegetarian selection for a German restaurant (although there's still room for improvement), and especially the option to order a small portion of most dishes.

Hey, I'm writing the review because I can't believe the store is closed. Alibaba was an institution in Gmünd and the owner, Tolga, was a good friend. I would just like to know what happened. Tolga's cell phone number no longer works. I last had contact with him in August 2024. Yes, there were problems at the end. You can also see it in the reviews from the last few months here on Google. There is now a new owner and it is now called Istanbul. I didn't find my kebab to taste convincing. The meat and sauce were tasteless and very little seasoned. The bread was OK. It was also relatively small for the price. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. It's a shame I expected more, especially since it's new.

I have relatively low expectations of GS Gastro restaurants in Schwäbisch Gmünd, as I'm somewhat familiar with their concept. Today we went to the Forum for lunch; the service and ambiance are great, and the staff are very helpful. The location and selection are also good for a coffee or a cold drink. However, you have to make compromises when it comes to the food. Every single product on the plate is convenience food. Nothing is actually cooked here, and you can taste it. They heat up standard products from the wholesale market and serve them. The price is simply too high for this. I find it excessive to offer baked or melted Maultaschen that aren't homemade for €15, which is too much for the quantity offered. There are still good restaurants in the city, so if you want to go out for a meal, there are better alternatives.

A superbly thought-out concept—the ideal place for parents with children to enjoy something to eat or drink without the little ones getting bored. The service is very friendly and fast, so you don't have to wait long for food or drinks. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this place.
