Very good food. Reasonable prices.

Today we visited the Thessaloniki restaurant at its new location. The dining rooms were a pleasant surprise in their new look. Here, you can dine both outside and inside. Because of the heat, we preferred to eat inside. We received a friendly and courteous welcome and were able to place our drink orders immediately. Our food preferences were then noted. The salad was served promptly as an appetizer. The food we ordered also arrived surprisingly quickly. Everything tasted excellent. It was nice to have special menus for children and seniors. We highly recommend this restaurant.

For around €21, I got a huge grilled platter – super delicious, perfectly seasoned, and more than filling. The value for money is simply top-notch! The service staff is down-to-earth, friendly, and attentive. I especially like that the owner – when she has time – even sits down and exchanges a few words with you. You just feel welcome and at ease. For me, it's clearly the best Greek restaurant in Schwäbisch Gmünd! I'll definitely be back.

You wouldn't believe it. Company holidays throughout the entire summer holidays. You already know how that ends: the business going out of business. Of course, they'll then complain that there weren't any guests. Of course, their own business model isn't to blame. Well, dear restaurateur, keep your eyes open when choosing a career. In this industry, you should work when guests have time off. That would have been my first visit, but with your work ethic, I assume you don't need to, so I'll spend my money with other restaurateurs who know their craft. And I'll keep that in mind! Actually, 0 stars!!!!

Delicious as always 😋 The new premises have been beautifully decorated.

Today we ordered a plate of gyros and two small bowls of tzatziki, which were apparently billed as "3x daily specials." This only came with half a pre-baked baguette. In total, we paid almost €40, which is completely overpriced for what we got. The gyro meat felt like it was 40% meat and 60% fat, which left a very unpleasant mouthfeel. We were there for lunch a few days ago. The food from the lunch menu tasted okay, but the portions were also very small. Overall, today's visit was disappointing, and we unfortunately don't think the value for money was justified.

We had a spontaneous lunch today. We received a friendly welcome and service. A lunch menu was offered. There's a wide variety of dishes, so there's something for everyone. The food was freshly prepared and tasted good. The portions were decent. Greek music was playing, which immediately put us in the holiday mood. This is a great place to eat.

We were here for the first time today and definitely not the last time. The food was very tasty, we had gyros, calamari, liver. The portions were large and we didn't have to wait long. The service was very good and very friendly. A clear recommendation from us.

A very nice restaurant where you are still welcomed after 8.30 p.m. The food is very tasty. There is also a lunch menu during the week and on Saturdays. The staff is very friendly and courteous, so you feel very comfortable. No problem for groups either. There is plenty of space and after a short registration they are happy to put the tables together.

Well, tastes are different... but that's what this is about. Unfortunately, I can't fully understand the 4.4 stars. The Meze starter plate gave me the impression that the kitchen here only used cans and convenience buckets. At most, I thought the tzatziki was worth mentioning. Portion size is good enough for 2 people. I found the gyros to be very dry, as did the meat skewer. And the potatoes were just baked in the deep fryer. Overall, I found our food to be of average takeaway quality and had little to do with Greek cuisine. But maybe I had chosen the wrong dishes?

The food was delicious, my portion for €21 was good, the remaining portions of other dishes at the table were a joke. Out of 5 people, 4 went home hungry. But overall, the food was tasty and came quickly. You can order dorado fillet and number 69 without any worries and you will be full. Grilled calamari with fries about a handful. Bifteki with fries 1 handful... a shame

Was warmly welcomed and served kindly. Food came very quickly and was okay in terms of quantity and quality. Nothing outstanding but completely okay for the price-performance ratio. If you want to grab something to eat in Gmünd before going to the pub or doing other activities, you certainly can't go wrong here. The parking garage in the City Center or Rems Deck at the Stadtwerke is also just around the corner if you come by car.

Food was very tasty - especially the fish and the gyros. Unfortunately, contrary to the drinks menu, there is no non-carbonated table water available (only much more expensive mineral water). It took quite a while for the menu to be brought to us and then another long time for us to be able to order. Two neighboring tables had their food returned because it was supposedly cold, but we had no complaints. Nicely decorated restaurant, but quite a lot of noise.

On a Sunday lunchtime we waited 1.5 hours for the food after ordering. No information and no apology from service. We were 6 people. Sometimes we sat in front of our empty glasses because there was no waitress in sight. And only one person was satisfied with the food. Pork was undercooked and completely covered in fat. Too much is not okay here.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately my fries/side dish came 10 minutes later like my meat and they weren't crispy at all and full of fat... The ambience is okay but unfortunately it got a bit cold and uncomfortable towards the end…

It's a shame that there are no vegetables as a side dish, only fries, potato chips or rice. Gyro meat was very fatty and gristly. The waitress could make more sales from drinks if she stopped by more often and didn't just walk past.

Gute Küche & Angenehme Atmosphäre

Insgesamt ist die Atmosphäre im Restaurant angenehm, die Bedienung sehr nett und man muss nicht lange auf das Essen warten. Der einzige Nachteil in meinem Fall war, dass ich zweimal, als ich „Salloniki“ besuchte, ein Putensteak bestellte und Hühnchen bekam. Als ich zum ersten Mal dachte, es gäbe einen Fehler in der Küche, ist alles in Ordnung. Beim zweiten Mal war es jedoch eine Wiederholung. Nachdem ich die Dame gefragt hatte, was los sei, erhielt ich die Information, dass das Restaurant Putensteaks bestellte und dass es nicht in ihrer Verantwortung lag, was sie bekamen. Die Antwort ist unklug, weil von vornherein bekannt ist, dass sie unwahr ist und keinen Sinn ergibt. Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass die Küche und das Management genau wissen, was sie servieren, aber sie halten Menschen für Dummköpfe, die nicht zwischen Putenfleisch und Hühnchen unterscheiden können. Beide Male habe ich für Putenfleisch bezahlt. Nicht cool.

Das Essen heute war leider nur ganz OK ich fand das Gyros ein wenig zu fettig und Knorpelig aber sonst wars OK. Das junge Personal schien mir doch sehr desinteressiert zu sein an der Arbeit. Das Ambiente an sich ist ganz schön. Leider war der Besuch heute nicht der Beste jedoch finden Bekante das Restaurant gut, vielleicht habe ich einen schlechten Tag erwischt.

Sehr leckeres Essen und Getränke. Leider hat bei meinem Besuch der Service etwas zu langsam (es war auch voll) Preise sind auch angemessen. Alles in allem super.

The food is delicious. They have both greek options and other things in case you want that. The fish is amazing and their chocolate dessert are brilliant. It's possible to sit either outside in a little enclosed garden or inside. The personal is very attentive and service is prompt. Lovely place. Would heartily recommend. My boyfriend chose to propose here and the atmosphere was absolutely fitting for the occasion.

10/10 experience. The service was great, the food was sublime and the outside garden area was great, in the shade and on a beautiful sunny day. I had the gyros souvlaki and it was unbelievable, absolutely loved it, will definitely return.

Sehr guter Grieche mit schöner Gartenterrasse mitten im Zentrum. Familie ist sehr freundlich, das Essen gut und reichlich, die Preise moderat. Unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Gutes Griechisches Lokal. Alle Speisen waren gut. Der Getränke Nachschub ist Ausbau fähig, deshalb nur 3 Sterne für den Service der Rest war gut.

Kann mich leider nicht ganz überzeugen. Bedienung sehr lieb, Ambiente geht auch vollkommen klar, aber das Essen ist Mittelmaß. Ich hatte Gyros mit Garnelen. Die Garnelen waren leider totgebraten und hatten bereits braune Stellen am Panzer...sind einfach zu lange in der TK gewesen, Gyros war ganz ok, aber jetzt auch nichts, was mich zum Wiederkommen bewegen würde.😉 Pommes lecker, Getränke auch gut...insgesamt ein wirklich nettes Lokal, mit günstigen Preisen, aber meinen Gaumen hat es jetzt nicht von "den Socken gehauen".

Zunächst einmal, dass Essen schmeckt wirklich gut und ist zu empfehlen. Ich war mittags zum Essen im Restaurant; es gab eine Mittagskarte und ich habe einen Fisch mit Pommes bestellt. Als der kam, dachte ich zunächst, ich hätte einen Kinderteller bekommen. Für 10,50 € fand ich und die anderen den Teller eine Frechheit. Daher auch die drei Sterne Bewertung beim Essen. Sonst wären es wohl mehr gewesen. Ambiente ist ok, wobei ich es eher etwas moderner oder individueller mögen würde.

Waren sehr überrascht und angetan von der schönen Einrichtung. Alles sehr ordentlich und Service sehr freundlich. Portionen sind groß und alles war sehr, sehr lecker. Gibt auch Schnitzel, falls eines der Kinder kein Gyros mag. Für uns war es perfekt. Wir kommen wieder.

Gutes Essen, freundliche schnelle Bedienung

Wir kamen zum Mittagessen ohne Reservierung. Das war kein Problem. Wir hatten eine sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Das war auch schon das Positive. Die Portionen waren zwar groß, aber das Fleisch war schlichtweg ungenießbar. Schade.

Absolut Unfreundlich! Als wir um ca. 13 Uhr ankamen waren 3 Tische im Außnbereich belegt und auf die Frage nach einem Tisch für 5 Personen wurden wir sehr schroff abgewiesen mit der Behauptung, die restlichen ca. 10 bis 15 Tische seien angeblich reserviert. Hiervon oder einem plötzlichen Besucheransturm war absolut nichts zu erkennen. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass wir drei Kinder dabei hatten? Für mich auf jeden Fall ein absolutes no go. Habe so etwas unfreundliches noch nie erlebt.

Heute Muss ich euch 10 Sterne geben es war echt sehr gut , besonders der Zaziki 😘, für das das wir es abgeholt haben und nicht im Restaurant essen dürfen, hat es doch sehr sehr gut geschmeckt und das ist viel wert, Haltet durch wir halten auch durch und freuen uns schon sehr, wieder im Restaurant Essen zu dürfen 😋

Gigantisch große und leckere Portionen. Ein Gericht besser als das Andere. Wir waren spontan an einem Samstag Abend hier. Zu fünft. Wurden nett bedient und gingen glücklich und satt wieder nach Hause. So schmeckt Griechenland.

Was die Bewertungen hier sagen können Teils nicht ernst gemeint sein. Die Bedienung war stets freundlich und auf Abruf sofort am Tisch! Wartezeiten waren unter 15 Minuten. Das gesamte Essen war fantastisch, nichts auszusetzen, die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend, die Preise für ein griechisches Restaurant wirklich im Rahmen (Preis/Leistung sogar zu niedrig meiner Meinung nach) und die Location war schön. Dass es bei einer vollen Bude mal etwas lauter werden kann ist mehr als nur verständlich und kann hier nicht als negatives Bewertungkriterium gelten. Falls ich je wieder in Schwäbisch-Gmünd bin, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder hier essen.

Das Atos hat seid nicht allzu langer Zeit einen neuen Besitzer, der besser ein anderes griechisches Lokal in Schwäbisch und betrieben hat. Er bietet werktags mittags einen günstigen Mittagstisch an, der eine große Auswahl bietet . Jedes Gerichtwird mit Salat und einer Beilage wie Reis, Pommes oder Kartoffeln zur Wahl serviert. Uns haben die Gerichte gut geschmeckt, der Service war schnell und nett. Wie bei vielen Griechen gab es am Anfang auch noch einen Ouzo zur Begrüßung. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war kurz, was bei einem Mittagstisch in der Mittagspause sehr wichtig ist. Preis-Leistung sind sehr gut in Ordnung, wir haben für den Mittagstisch und ein kleines Getränk unter 10 € bezahlt. Daher kann ich das Lokal für einen Mittagstisch empfehlen.

Super gute griechische Gerichte im Athos geniessen. Griechisch Essen ist meine Leidenschaft. Hier schmeckt es himlisch gut. Nichts wie hin. Ich kann Athos mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Esswn war mittelmäßig, Wartezeiten > 1 h, Bedienung total unfreundlich und uneinsichtig bzgl Diskussion der langen Wartezeit

Hatte mit griechischem Essen und Gastfreundschaft nichts zu tun. Preis-Leistung stimmte nicht. Sehr laut und ungemütlich.

Wir waren im Athos mit insgesamt 14 Personen zum Abendessen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und zu unserem bereits eingedeckten, reservierten Tisch geleitet. Sofort gab es die erste Überraschung: Bei Tisch-Reservierungen ab 8 Personen, gibt es eine separate (deutlich abgespeckte!) Version der Abendkarte mit leicht erhöhten Preisen. Nach dem Grund fragend, wurde ich mit griechisch deutschem Kauderwelsch abgespeist, nein, eine Ausnahme könne man da nicht machen. Hätte man für 2 x 7 Personen reserviert, wäre die "normale Karte" zum Einsatz gekommen. Im übrigen war das komplette Lokal gut besetzt. Nun, da ich wusste, dass der Koch vom Thessaloniki seit kurzem im Athos kocht, war das trotzdem ok, obwohl ich meine Griechische-Lieblingspeise nicht bestellen konnte. Die Wartezeit für die Getränke Bestellung war mit 15 min gefühlt zu lange und auch das Abendessen konnten wir erst nach gut 45 min. nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung bestellen. In Ordnung war die Wartezeit mit ca. 15 weiteren min, bis die Getränke kamen. Das Essen hatten wir dann ca. 75 min. nach Ankunft im Lokal auf dem Tisch. Dafür hat es allen wirklich gut geschmeckt, man darf die Küche ausdrücklich loben. Nach dem Abtragen des Geschirrs, hatte man den Eindruck (es war inzwischen fast 23 Uhr), dass man uns schnellst möglich loswerden wollte, kein Nachfragen nach weiteren Getänken, Nachtisch, kein Raki .... einfach trostlos, soetwas haben wir noch nie in einem griechischen Restaurant erlebt. Auch das getrennte Bezahlen machte der sichtlich genervten Bedienung größte Schwierigkeiten. Wir werden uns bestimmt nicht wiedersehen.

Wir waren im Athos mit 6 Personen Essen! Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und das Essen lecker! Gerne wieder!
