Comimos un poco los platos típicos de la zona, el codillo de cerdo está espectacular y lo demás que comimos también, variedad de cervezas a elegir.

Wir waren zum ersten, aber sicher nicht zum letzten Mal hier. Sehr gutes Essen, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, Schönes Ambiente.

Had the Ochsensepp salad and an Almdudler. It tasted good and there were 2 pieces of white bread baguette with it.

As always, delicious, friendly and cozy. Prices are okay. The permanent team is always courteous and quick. Reservation recommended, otherwise it will be tight...

Ate here on a couple of occasions, excellent beer, good food in all courses from soup to dessert

Bavarian inn with authentic food and drinks. Service and food really good. I was very impressed by how people reacted to an impending storm. This was pointed out early on outside. The guests could either leave or move inside. I find that very forward-looking. Especially when there are fewer spaces available inside. Thought through.

I ordered a pancake soup and a side salad with potato salad. There were herbs in the pancake of the pancake soup and the soup itself tasted like very little. The side salad with potato salad that I ordered with it had no potato salad, but the Kaiser Schmarrn tasted completely Okay and there are a lot of wasps here that fly into the drink all the time, very annoying. And behind us there was some annoying speech for some stupid statue. Not recommended

Very nice host and very nice staff. The food is good, as is the selection. You can sit comfortably outside (pedestrian zone) or inside. When the weather was hot, we sat inside because it is pleasantly cool here. Great hospitality.

We went there to eat spontaneously yesterday, it was 4:15 p.m. when we sat down at the table, service was very friendly and nice, the food was excellent, large portions and the meat was tasty. Even the small salad plate was too much for the two of us 😅. I can only recommend this restaurant. There is a large playground right next to it (I don't know how long it has been since the city is often redesigned) so children can keep themselves busy there, so no one should be sensitive to noise because the children have fun in the sand. Good food, consistently warm cuisine and nice service, all in all top value for money.

Nice inn with friendly service and good food. The point deducted is that our steak arrived well done and not medium rare, as we ordered. However, there is an extra point here for the service because the steak was replaced immediately after being spoken to and the second thing was on point - we'll be back!

Schöner Platz vorm Rathaus, sehr schnelle und freundliche Bedienung und total leckeres Essen. Gerne immer wieder. Und dazu noch schönes Wetter.

Super Service. The waitress comes regularly and asks if they can bring anything else. Good, seasonal menu too. Also something delicious vegan. For children a standard children's menu with good prices. Here everyone will find something to suit their taste.

The food was ok. The service after the first order was brought was very inattentive. We sat with empty glasses for about 15 minutes until the next order. Eye contact with the waiters was not possible. A pity.

Went there for a beer and ate some Kaiserschmarrn. The Kaiserschmarrn is priced too high at 9.1 euros for a small portion. But it tastes very tasty.

Very nice location with a large outdoor area right on the market square, reservation went well, staff very friendly and helpful (immediate dog bowl with water and child seat for baby), food prepared quickly and excellent, prices OK - it couldn't be better! Highly recommended!

After the disappointment of visiting the Reimann bakery, I went to the inn to enjoy a coffee. The waiter was very friendly and the coffee was delicious. Only the price was a bit high at 4.50 euros for a large cup of coffee. The toilet was very clean - soap and disinfectant as well as paper towels were available. All in all it deserves 5 stars.

Very good food and top service gave us a wonderful lunch. My roast pork was tender as butter, the spaetzle was homemade and perfectly prepared. The dark beer sauce is a poem! We'll definitely be back. Many thanks to the chef and service staff.

We had schnitzel with dark beer sauce and spaetzle as well as fries, mixed salad and potato salad. Conclusion: Schnitzel was absolutely delicious, spaetzle was rather mediocre and what made me sad was the dark beer sauce, which unfortunately didn't taste like anything and was far too watery. The fries were good. The service was friendly but unfortunately not very attentive. When our food came we didn't have any cutlery at the table and despite asking three different waiters several times, only the third one brought cutlery after waiting. Unfortunately, it took almost 10 minutes to get there and the food was only slightly lukewarm since we were sitting outside. It could be better, but that might also be due to the large number of customers. Would still come back, even if not with the attitude of expecting 4.5 stars here. Would give 3.5 Max. 4 stars.

We, my husband and I, had dinner at the Alpen Wirtshaus for the first time today and were very satisfied. The whole team is super friendly, careful and very committed. Our food was also available as a small portion (senior-friendly). Very tasty, freshly prepared and the side salad tasted crunchy. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

An excellent gastronomic concept with friendly service, delicious food and a cozy ambience. The cuisine mix from the Alps, Bavaria and the best from Swabia is really well thought out and comes fresh to the table. We had, among other things, salads, schnitzels, meat patties, cheese spaetzle and roasted Maultaschen with potato salad.

Awesome, everything tasted good. From onion roast, sauerbraten, dumplings, schnitzel, everything was very good. We had 7 main courses, nothing was left, even the kids were just eating. Kaiserschmarn was also a bomb! Definitely a regular customer from now on.

My impression from 2 visits: 1st visit: very good food, fast and attentive service, very loud, I would give this 4 stars. 2nd visit: Reservation requested with confirmation over the phone. After we arrived on site, our table was given to guests who happened to enter the restaurant before us. There was no sense of guilt. That's really bad form, after all we're playing with the guests' time here. If I reserve with name and telephone number, then I'll come too. There should actually be 0 stars for that.

Excellent: Very nice inn on the market square. With luck we got a place straight away (Sunday 02/18/24 around 2:30 p.m.). A reservation is recommended. The food is the finest. Sausage salad great and big. On the recommendation of the landlady, I ordered the salad with mustard dressing. Highly recommended for those who like mustard. Service is also excellent. We from Stuttgart would like to eat there again next time we visit Gmünd. Thanks to the team.

Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere inside and great food at a good price. The portions are way too big. Tip to customers: take a small portion, luckily that's available too! Unfortunately, there are also some points that lead to a significant point deduction: Unfortunately, the outdoor restaurant is only for smokers, no protection from non-smokers. It has long been proven that passive smoking outside is just as harmful as inside. Even worse, there is a "smoking corner" at a bar table at the corner of the house, so that pedestrians are always exposed to smoke. It is to be regretted that residents or employees who work in the area cannot open the window to ventilate without bringing the carcinogenic smoke into the house. In the Panorama Museum next door, the entire stairwell smells like an ashtray when the doors are open. The M7 will also contribute to this. No accessibility for wheelchairs and other people with walking difficulties. Lots of steps inside too. Outside, the level sidewalk is blocked by tables, so that people with walking difficulties have to dangerously use the sewage drain (danger of falling with a walker!). People with walking difficulties and non-smokers should avoid the upper market square.

Egal an welchem Tag, egal ob Mittag- oder Abendessen, nicht nur qualitativ gut, was auf dem Teller landet, reichliche Portionen, auch der Service, aufmerksam, immer freundlich, einladend. Man fühlt sich willkommen. Inzwischen Stammgast und das bleibe ich auch :-)

Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit hier. Es gab zünftiges (gestopfter Paul, lecker, mit toller Sauce!) und auch vegetarisches - die Kräuterflädle mit Gemüse und Salat kann ich empfehlen. Das Schnitzel war auch wunderbar. Den Nachtisch (Kaiserschmarrn mit Vanilleeis und Apfelmus) haben sich zwei geteilt und die heiße Schokolade war auch lecker! Alles in allem eine wunderbare Sache.....

Wir hatten eine leckere Mahlzeit. Die Hauptspeisen sowie die Nachtische waren lecker, frisch zubereitet und schön angerichtet. Die Getränke, insbesondere das Bier und das Radler waren gut. Wir können diese Gaststätte empfehlen. Der Service war auch einwandfrei.

Wir hatten am Donnerstag nach Heiligabend ein Restaurant gesucht, das noch warmes Essen anbietet. Wir sind auf das Alpen Wirtshaus gestoßen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ein super Vorweihnachtsgeschenk. Das Personal war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war warm und sehr sehr lecker. Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall zum empfehlen!👍🏼

Really friendly, helpful, and DELICIOUS! High visited, would recommend to try an appointment first. We came on Christmas time, without appointment but they helped us get a table shortly.
