Forum - Restaurant Café Bar in Schwäbisch Gmünd

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Das Essen sieht gut aus, entspricht leider nicht dem Gmünder Durchschnitt für die Bepreisung. Die Bedienung ist zu Bekannten sehr nett. Drückt sich unbekannten Gästen gegenüber ungeschickt und beinahe schon unfreundlich aus. Die Mischung ist dann "Geschmackssache".

Die Speisen können wir leider nicht bewerten. Wir hatten eine halbe Stunde gewartet bis überhaupt jemand kam um die Getränke aufzunehmen. Beim Getränke aufnehmen, haben wir darauf hingewiesen, dass wir gerade kurz vor dem Gehen waren, weil es recht lang gedauert hat. Darauf hin sagte man uns, dass NACH uns ein paar größere Gruppen kamen und diese immer bevorzugt werden und wir auch noch eine gute Stunde auf das Essen warten werden. Aufgrund der hohen Wartezeit und der Bevorzugung von nach und eintreffenden Gruppen haben wir uns entschieden zu gehen.

Restaurant, das man gerne nochmals besucht. Gute Lage, toller Service und gutes Essen. Für jede/n was dabei. Reichhaltige Auswahl an Speisen. Gute Verkehrsanbindung, Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sofort zu Fuss in der Innenstadt.

👍👍👍 Nach einigen Jahren wieder da – das beste Restaurant-Café in Schwabish. Der Caesar Salad war wirklich hervorragend, wie die gesamte Speisekarte.

Die Renovierung ist sehr gelungen, die neue, zusätzliche Frühstückskarte hat uns sehr angesprochen. Service ist bei jedem Besuch sehr zuvorkommend und effizient. Vor allem die Kinderfreundlichkeit und die Spieleecke kommen uns sehr entgegen und wir kommen immer wieder gerne

Preis Leistung gut. Lecker war es auch. Sehr freundliche Bewirtung zu jeder Zeit.

Man kommt zur Reservierung um 9 Uhr und bestellt, es sind insgesamt 8 Gäste im wunderschönen Ambiente und dann wartet man 45 Minuten suf sein Spezial für 2 und bekommt dann ein hartes lauwarmes Frühstücks Ei mit Aufbackwecken und ein Frühstück, welches ich mir während des Aufbackens der Wecken auch selber machen kann. Der bestellte Smootie kommt dann auch erst nach dem zweiten Nachfragen und dann aber auch Zimmertemperatur bzw. Lauwarm. Es wird auch nicht gefragt ob man noch etwas möchte bzw. Ob alles gut ist. Aus der location kann nan so viel mehr machen und mit einem besonderen Frühstück kommen die Gäste auch wieder, so leider nicht. Preis/Leistung passt absolut nicht.

Gestern habe ich meinen 60. Geburtstag dort gefeiert und das Forum hat so ziemlich in allem dem Geburtstag sein Krönchen aufgesetzt: Sehr leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung und tolles Ambiente! Lieben Dank, ich komme gerne wieder.

Gigantisch! Lässig, luxuriös und wunderschöne Einrichtung.

Ich war das erst mal im Forum. Es ist superunfreundlich Service schlecht wie bezahlt und angeschrien worden. Ich werde hier nie mehr herkommen.

Tolle Terrasse, ausgesprochen freundlicher Service und feines Angebot.

Ich habe mir mehr nachdem Umbau vorgestellt. Lampen neu, Stühle neu... Sieht auch ganz nett aus. Aber die Speisekarten, dreckig und einfach total abgenutzt. Zum Service kann ich leider auch nichts gutes sagen. Wir waren zwei mal innerhalb einer Woche dort, da es das nahegelegenenste Café von Bahnhof war. Die Herren waren so unfreundlich und haben Kommentare abgegeben, die diesen nicht zu stehen. Deshalb werden wir nicht wieder kommen.

Schöne Bar im Forum. Goldenes Haus - aufgrund seiner Außenhaut mit schrägen Flächen. Ein schönes Monument der Gold- und Silberstadt Schwäbisch Gmünd. Man sitzt draußen wie drinnen sehr schön. Bei gutem Wetter ist die Aussenterrasse zu empfehlen mit Blick auf Josefsbach und Rems. Ein Glücksfall die Gartenschau mit der Renaturierung des Josefsbachs. Überhaupt lohnt sich Besuch im Forum und der Altstadt!

Wir waren zum Frühstück im Forum – Restaurant Café Bar. Positiv hervorzuheben ist auf jeden Fall die Optik nach der Renovierung: Das Ambiente ist wirklich gelungen, modern und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück selbst war allerdings eher durchschnittlich. Brezeln und Brötchen waren in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes, und insgesamt hat uns das Angebot geschmacklich nicht ganz überzeugt. Für das, was geboten wird, fanden wir die Preise etwas zu hoch. Insgesamt also ein solider Besuch mit schönem Ambiente, aber beim Frühstück ist noch Luft nach oben.

War heute mit meiner Familie zum Mittagessen, Service und Essen war alles bestens, wir kommen gerne wieder 😀👌

Drinnen sehr gemütlich und urig. Draußen direkt an der Rems ein Highlight. Service gut. Qualität der Produkte in Ordnung. Preise angemessen. Für größere Personengruppen gibt es Platz.

Absolut eines meiner Lieblingslokale.

Leider werden dort billiger Supermarkt Maultaschen, Rostzwiebeln und billiger Kartoffelsalat auch aus dem Supermarkt verkauft.Man bezahlt 15 Euro für das Essen.Man kann in einem solchen Restaurant das frisch selber hergestellt wird oder zu mindest beim Metzger eingekauft wird. Die anderen Gerichtewaren gut. Maultaschen sind nicht zum empfehlen! Leider

Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant in der Nähe des Stadtzentrums. Gutes Essen, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr empfehlenswert für einen Zwischenstopp.

Great ambience and delicious food

Delicious food and drinks! The location and atmosphere are great, especially outside in the summer. The staff are all exceptionally friendly :) I also really appreciate the children's play area. Thank you for that. However, the broken toys could use some getting rid of.

I'm baffled as to how this place got such a good rating. Plastic menu, sticky table, toilet barely worthy of being called clean. The pizza is okay, but a high-quality frozen pizza is just as good. And then they charge restaurant prices... we won't be back.

The waiter was very tiring with his comments and the pizza was unfortunately not really good.

Great service at lunchtime – fast and friendly! Sitting outside is really nice and makes your lunch break even more relaxing. Highly recommended!

You can get really good Swabian cuisine, including a good shrimp salad. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is always friendly.

Well, it could be better with a little effort. Prices aren't right. Way too expensive for this crap.

The food was very good. The waiter in the afternoon was awful. Arrogant, inflexible, and not particularly helpful. And, as he says, he's not funny either.

Four of us went there for breakfast. The service was good, as always, and the ambiance was also good, but if I go for breakfast for that price, I expect fresh rolls and not pre-baked rolls! I find that pretty cheeky... we certainly won't be coming back for breakfast.

Great place for coffee and cake, but not recommended for food. The restaurant is indeed great for a relaxing coffee break due to its wonderful location and view. However, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant for special occasions such as birthdays or a celebratory meal. The food was, to put it mildly, disappointing. The quality and taste left a lot to be desired. Considering the significantly inflated prices, this is simply not justified.

Pizza Diablo doesn't even come close to worthy of its name. The service took far too long for the number of customers, especially after they asked to pay. It could be better. All in all, it's okay, but I'll definitely choose an alternative next time.

Unforgettably good Swabian cuisine – especially the Maultaschen! This restaurant is an absolute insider tip for lovers of Swabian cuisine. The Maultaschen were simply divine – you can immediately taste that they're homemade. The filling was wonderfully spicy, with a perfect balance of meat, spinach, and herbs. The pasta dough was tender, but not too thin, and the Maultaschen were served in a rich, wonderfully aromatic broth. Alternatively, they were also available fried with fried onions – a dream! This was accompanied by a classic Swabian potato salad with a light vinegar and oil marinade, just as it should be. The other dishes, such as the Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast) and the Spätzle (spaetzle), were also excellent. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and authentic – almost like being at a Swabian family's home. An all-round successful evening. We'll definitely be back!

Sweet spot in the heart of Schwäbisch Gmünd. Simple german dishes, served fresh by friendly staff members. Prices are fair for what you get including a great ambiance with high glass walls & ceiling with a view of the Rems/Walstetter Bach. Vegetarian & Vegan options are available. Worth a visit if your around!

Even if you only have one drink, it's a nice place to sit.

The cocktails were good. The view was very nice. Unfortunately, the roof terrace was unoccupied due to rain. One negative point is that it smelled strongly of fried food.

Amazing place to relax with coffee, cocktails, and cakes. The cakes are excellent, and the homemade lemonade is amazing. The service is very good. Recommend.

I have relatively low expectations of GS Gastro restaurants in Schwäbisch Gmünd, as I'm somewhat familiar with their concept. Today we went to the Forum for lunch; the service and ambiance are great, and the staff are very helpful. The location and selection are also good for a coffee or a cold drink. However, you have to make compromises when it comes to the food. Every single product on the plate is convenience food. Nothing is actually cooked here, and you can taste it. They heat up standard products from the wholesale market and serve them. The price is simply too high for this. I find it excessive to offer baked or melted Maultaschen that aren't homemade for €15, which is too much for the quantity offered. There are still good restaurants in the city, so if you want to go out for a meal, there are better alternatives.

Very unfriendly waiters. We couldn't even order food. Said they had a lot of customers and we should 40min wait. After over 1 hour they said it was not possible to serve food. However good drinks but wouldn't recommend it

Really wonderful. I can only recommend staying here for a while. No matter whether you are just visiting or live in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Great ambience, great staff and very tasty coffee. Not to forget the wonderful view of the reindeer with the black swans.

Normally I am and have always been very satisfied with your service. Only yesterday it was a bit disappointing how long you have to wait until you are recognized as a guest. Once you didn't have any cash with you...the internet worked sluggishly...then you'll be spoken to strangely, you should think about that earlier...if that's the case, then you should put up a sign right at the entrance that only cash payment is possible, point that out...then you know where you are...but that wasn't the case...nevertheless, the location there is simply brilliant...that's precisely why you should be keen to ensure that you come back anyway, and that your customers stay with you...customers who keep coming back...

When we go to Schwäbisch Gmünd we always go to eat at the Forum or Spongebob building as many locals here call it. When the weather is good, it's wonderful to sit outside where the Rems flows by. It's also very comfortable inside when the weather isn't right. This time there was even a dog there and dogs are also allowed indoors, which makes the location even cooler. The food is delicious, the portions are ok and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately there are no fries or anything fried in general, but the side dishes of spaetzle, rosemary potatoes, vegetables and salads are sufficient. You are also served quite quickly. We've already tried everything from pasta, pizza, fish and meat and were impressed. But the favorite is the Schwabentöpfle. You can park around the train station or for free in the side streets in the direction of the stadium or city garden, where you can park in about 7-8 minutes. can walk straight there. We would also like to recommend this restaurant for breakfast outside. Pictures are now only from the last visit a few days ago.

You can sit really nicely, but the toilets are terrible, no toilet paper, I pointed it out at the counter, but nothing happened, the floor was also completely dirty. You should just check it more often. But I've noticed it several times now.

The service is rudeness personified. I've never experienced anything like this! We got up again and left without ordering anything.

We had breakfast here today. We ordered the fit breakfast. Unfortunately, instead of half a grapefruit, only three half slices of an orange came. Unfortunately, the service didn't ask if that was okay, and the freshly squeezed orange juice included wasn't freshly squeezed either. Unfortunately, it was topped by a fresh lipstick mark on my orange juice. Unfortunately, this one couldn't be overlooked either. Unfortunately, when we had our food, no waiter came by to ask if everything was okay, so I had to bring the dirty glass to the counter myself. Unfortunately there was no compensation for this - which unfortunately meant very poor service for me.

We sat for 20 minutes and weren't served even though there wasn't too much going on. Keller preferred to stand at the same exchange for 10 minutes and chat. Left without ordering

A lovely, friendly place, unfortunately a little dated and in need of a bit of renovation. The speed at which things move in the kitchen is like in Formula One racing; as soon as you order, the food is on the table. Anyone who can cook will know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. The food tasted okay. The wine was good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The quality could be a little better, but everyone has different tastes. For me it was simply prepared too quickly and so I can only give it three stars. I rate everything like that. I might try it again, but a lot would have to change.

I agree with the other customers who found the service unfriendly! I'd rather have an ice cream directly at the train station and enjoy a beautiful view than this restaurant!

The food was really great. Went very quickly too. But the waiter is apparently very funny in his own way. However, this is something that is rather negative for the guests. Stupid comments on orders and imitations are apparently “funny” to him. Really a shame in such a great and chic restaurant. The other waiters are very nice and polite.

When we are in Schwäbisch Gmünd, we always come there to eat. Right on the Rems, nice to sit there in summer. Everything just works for us there. Food always of the same good quality. Excellent service and always friendly staff. Barrier-free access. For us everything is just perfect 🤗

Shockingly bad service, the ladies serving were nice and helpful. But the gentleman who served us was rude and just too cheeky. Unfortunately, this ruined our stay and the beautiful seating.

A good restaurant right on the Rems. However, poor service. When I wanted to pay the €8.70 bill in cash, I gave a €20 note and only got €2 and was told “that’s fine!” with a smiling face!”. The service employee didn't ask me if he could keep the €10 as a tip. If he asked nicely, I would give it to him too. Otherwise the taste was good and tasty. Service urgently needs to be improved. Price-wise also above average.

Absolutely nothing to criticize. Only praise. I was there with a group. There were 2 wheelchair users. Every extra wish was fulfilled. Accessibility guaranteed. Super nice, courteous staff. Delicious food. Open Monday. What more could the heart want?

We went out to eat in the Forum today with a larger group. At the beginning we were told that they would only bring us drinks because the kitchen was still closed, although it was communicated differently over the phone. We ordered a hot chocolate and waited until we could order food. When we went to order food we were asked if we were sure because the hot chocolate was 800 calories and a few of us were supposed to “cut calories”. FYI: There were two former anorexics or eating disorders sitting at the table! That was the first and last time forum! The waiter can be glad we didn't call for the boss!!

We had breakfast here. We were 5 people. We particularly liked the ambience and the beautifully prepared food. Unfortunately, there was no choice as to how you would like your breakfast egg. Here they are just hard boiled 🙈 We were also plagued by wasps towards the end. Even though we were sitting inside. In my opinion, the price for breakfast for two is far too high. However, the quality of what is offered is really satisfactory. The only drawback would be that we would have liked to have had at least two more rolls in the bread basket. These had to be ordered separately. Otherwise a nice place for breakfast. The service was very, very friendly and accommodating.

Great location with a particularly beautiful terrace. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Products are delivered super quickly and taste great. The only criticism: It is very loud due to the architecture of the hall, you can constantly hear cutlery and plates banging, and the guests' conversations also increase the overall volume massively. Noise-insulating measures would be very good for the location and the relaxed stay.

Drinks too expensive. There was no blanket for my wife on the grounds that we could sit inside. Then I saw that a man at the next table had a blanket. So further visits are over.

Restaurant in the new landmark of Schwäbisch Gmünd. Very nice large terrace on Remsstrand. Inside also modern and cozy. The dishes are high quality and the service is top.

Location is nice, service was absolutely outrageous today. Either you were completely ignored by the waiters or when we called someone to the table we were rudely told without even looking at us that he had to take the order first at the next table (where his colleague had already been 2 minutes ago) . We kindly asked him to take our order when we had already been sitting there for 20 minutes and were ignored. When he finally turned his attention to us and we had ordered two coffees and wanted to add cake to our order, he interrupted us with the sentence “You have to choose the cake yourself” and hissed off what we had started without even giving us a chance To finish the sentence, otherwise he would have found out that we were already inside and had each chosen a cake. When I left the restaurant I said that he could cancel the coffee again, I didn't want to stay in that kind of atmosphere any longer.

To be honest, I was really surprised that in 2024 it's still a thing to be shamed for consuming non-alcoholic drinks - especially by service staff. Unprofessional and uncool when the waiter greets you with a sarcastic “Wow” when you order water to drink. Doesn't make you feel welcome and valued as a guest.

The hotel is excellent and the staff is " Super " .. one of the best places around and very convenient to the downtown area. I give them a " 10 " ..
