The room smelled like a lavatory. The food was awful. The only really edible thing was the taboulleh and the bottle of water. The baba ganoush was out of a tin and awful. We should have left when we walked in rather than trusting the reviews.
Price performance is top! Were invited for a birthday. I assume that the place is more for events, as there were several guest rooms and a barn. The rooms were pleasantly comfortable.
There was also a courtyard, the castle is somewhat hidden. But there were parking spaces, so you weren't standing directly on a street.
…. We are always very happy with everything. Very nice hosts and delicious food! What more could you want? We'll be back 👍🏻 By the way, there's homemade lemonade! Also super tasty with a very large selection of flavors! My ham cheese toast with fries and delicious devil's sauce was very good and a fair price!
Today, March 22, 2025, four of us went there for dinner. My husband, my mother, and I were there for the first time, and my mother-in-law knew it from before.
We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table.
The waiter assigned to us arrived promptly. He was really nice and friendly and served us excellently.
We ordered: two salmon dishes on leaf spinach with fried potatoes and hollandaise sauce.
One Wiener schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce and fries, and one sauerfleisch dish with fried potatoes and remoulade.
We were ALL very satisfied with the food. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. It tasted just like Grandma's 😉
My mother and mother-in-law don't usually eat much, but nothing was left on our plates!
Then we received a greeting from the kitchen and were served delicious dessert. Various flavors of panna cotta, which also tasted very good.
We will definitely eat there again!
Everything was great, pizza completely different than usual. Various doughs, also gluten-free. You can order from the menu or put it together yourself. Rustic atmosphere in the old cellar vault
You have to bring some time
The restaurant's furnishings are a bit bland, there's a lack of atmosphere. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the black bread plates were broken at the edges. The food was good and nicely prepared, the service staff was very friendly.
Oldesloe's second best kebab for sure.
The boys are really very friendly - that's how it has to be!
Spicy kebab meat (minced meat with sliced meat) which is reminiscent of the legendary special seasoning from the Sultan Palace in Lübeck.
The chicken kebab is also good.
Unfortunately, the cacik (tzatziki) still has room for improvement.
Tip:
Do this with Greek yogurt (10% fat), olive oil, fresh garlic, salt, freshly ground pepper, salt, dill (alternatively mint) and grated, squeezed cucumber = best tzatziki ever! :)
PS: It's a shame that you can't order kebab from Lieferando (PayPal)! :(
