St. Knudsborg in Flensburg

Had a lovely evening. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

We were at Knudsborg with our family of 24. Everyone loved it; we meet up once a year. And this was by far the best venue we've been to in years. That's why we booked a date for next year right away. The whole experience was fantastic and truly deserves more than 5 stars.

It was a wonderful evening with excellent and plentiful food and great service. This young team deserves continued support. Keep it up!

This was our first time visiting St. Knudsborg with the family. We were seated in the conservatory, which we really enjoyed. Everyone loved the food; there was something for everyone, and it was all very tasty. The value for money was excellent. The service was exemplary throughout the entire evening – very friendly, unobtrusive, and impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; it was a wonderful evening. We can confidently give every aspect of the experience 5 stars.

Exactly the same as a year ago. I wanted to give the place another chance. But unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied again. With those exorbitant prices, it's completely incomprehensible. Far too little and extremely expensive. Half a duck with a few croquettes and a little red cabbage is hardly meant to fill you up. The price for two dry mini schnitzels with a few fries is simply outrageous. Anyone who skimps on fries, croquettes, and red cabbage hasn't grasped the concept. For me, never again... Addendum to my reply: Come on! What's served on the plate is what's paid for; the kitchen issue is an organizational problem. That's why I don't understand the garbage! Red cabbage and croquettes really don't cost much to buy! Perhaps they should offer seconds beforehand. And the staff could certainly ask if you'd like more... Yes, the price-performance ratio is unfortunately not acceptable for me. Yes, the value for money is unfortunately not right. I'm curious to see if the reduced VAT rate of 7% for food in 2026 will actually benefit customers. My conclusion: It's better to put more on the plate; then the customer will be happy to return. If the customer stays away, there's a significant loss in revenue. It's simple math!

This was my second visit to Knudsborg. Last time I had spare ribs, this time I went for the kale. What can I say... it's true what they say. Everything was top-notch. Legendarily delicious. Just like Mom's cooking. Both times. A huge compliment to the service. It was seamless. Knudsborg is becoming my favorite restaurant... I'll be back.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was good, the service was attentive but also overwhelmed. Drinks and side dishes were forgotten and had to be requested. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was only partially satisfactory. This is not enough for us to visit the restaurant again.

We were lucky and managed to snag a table for two hours at the last minute. We can absolutely confirm the praise in the press for the delicious kale. We'll definitely be back!

The visit was worthwhile. Unfortunately, due to the pre-Christmas season, the parking lot was already completely full. But the food, a generous portion of kale, was excellent, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We'll gladly come again.

I can't recall the last time our family left an entire meal uneaten. However, this was the case here. There were four of us on May 25, 2025, at 6 PM. We had made an online reservation with online confirmation.

We ate our fill of schnitzel, and it was very tasty.

We had a separate room for our group of 14, which was perfectly suited to our size. We ate kale (two different varieties), which was, as always, delicious, as was the meat: lean smoked pork loin, sausage, and pork cheek. This was served with fried potatoes and sweet potatoes. Delicious beetroot, Asian cucumber, and of course, mustard were also included. The dessert was also very good, although not all varieties were available because the restaurant was full. All in all, highly recommended.

The food was absolutely fantastic, especially the kale – "best of"! We'll definitely be back! Thank you to the Knudsborg team! :-)

Great food and fantastic service

Excellent all around. Nine of us went to our traditional kale dinner. Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly difficult to find good restaurants that offer "kale all you can eat" with all the trimmings. Sweet potatoes included. This was exactly the right place for us. The food was super delicious. The server was incredibly attentive and friendly. We felt completely comfortable and full.

Knudsborg remains one of the top restaurants in Flensburg. Very friendly and attentive service. There were two of us and we chose the spare ribs. The meat was amazing, tender as butter, and simply fell off the bone. It was accompanied by delicious, crusty bread and three fantastic dips. I can wholeheartedly recommend Knudsborg!

We celebrated our father's 93rd birthday and were able to order a la carte for 18 people. Before the main course, we were treated to delicious antipasti and bruschetta platters. Afterwards, the diverse dishes were served to all guests at the same time. Thank you for the professional and attentive service!! See you next time!

During a business trip to Flensburg, I ended up at St. Knudsborg for dinner and was truly impressed. Courteous and exceptionally friendly service and truly excellent food—there's nothing to complain about here! The atmosphere and decor could be improved a bit, but that's really just nitpicking. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

I haven't had such a bad meal in a long time! Everything tasted like it came from a bag or frozen. Absolutely not a recommendation!

My first visit to Sankt Knudsborg and certainly not the last. We had reserved a table online and unfortunately arrived a little late. However, that wasn't a problem, and we were promptly seated. We sat in a conservatory; the tables were nicely arranged and the seating very comfortable. Since I'm overweight, this is often a point of panic for me. But the chairs were nice yet sturdy, well-cushioned, and there was plenty of space between the other tables. The service staff were all friendly and attentive. Allergies/intolerances were taken into account. Various drink sizes were offered immediately. The menu gave a good overview of the offerings. There's plenty of home-style cooking, but burgers and spare ribs are also on the menu. I opted for roast beef with fried potatoes, while my companion had her fill of spare ribs. My roast beef was incredibly tender and practically melted in the mouth. The fried potatoes were nice and crispy and not too salty. There was also a fresh salad. The remoulade was also very tasty, but I really didn't need it, as it was already so incredibly delicious on its own. My companion got a bowl of lemon water for his fingers and his spare ribs with three different sauces: BBQ, garlic, and something quite spicy. According to him, the BBQ was the perfect choice. He served a herb baguette as a side dish. The spare ribs were well-seasoned, very meaty, and buttery soft; they practically fell off the bone. I was allowed to try them and will have the spare ribs myself next time. He regularly asked if he wanted seconds. But two was more than enough. He didn't have room for dessert. I had an espresso affogato for dessert, and like everything else before, it was very tasty. Our drinks were unexciting, with malt beer and a shandy. The shandy could have had a bit more lemon soda, but that's my personal taste. All in all, it was a very pleasant and tasty evening. We felt very welcome and will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

I had the feta in almond and nut breading, which tasted good, but the portion was very small—just 5 small cubes of cheese. If I hadn't had the extra fries, I wouldn't have been full. But the service was top-notch 👍

We sat in the conservatory with the door open, which we all really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and had a pleasant, positive vibe. It was also great that we were allowed to bring our dog. All in all, the four of us will definitely be back.

First of all: there are no photos of the food! Firstly, there's already plenty, and secondly, it was simply too delicious, and the food was gone before it could be photographed. Kudos to both the service and the kitchen. The spare ribs we ordered were incredibly delicious; crispy and juicy at the same time, and very deliciously seasoned. The pan-fried fish was also very good, and for once, it came with a generous amount of sauce. The sauerfleisch we ordered was very generous – and despite its great flavor, it was impossible to finish with the fried potatoes. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. The restaurant is highly recommended, and we'd be happy to come back the next time we're in the area.

We didn't like the atmosphere at all and immediately backed out. It was uncomfortable, and it smelled very musty.

The food was very tasty. The price was a bit above the average for Flensburg. The man who served us today had a very friendly, relaxed, and (yet) respectful, courteous manner in dealing with the guests. The "greenhouse" where we were seated was bright and nicely decorated, but certainly not to everyone's taste. However, there are several other dining rooms there with a different atmosphere. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

I celebrated my birthday there with bowling pins, coffee and cake and a burger buffet. Everything was perfect and the burger buffet was great! Any time.

The two of us were there on Wednesday. The sun was shining and the winter garden was therefore open, which was very pleasant. We ate wonderfully tender and spicy spare ribs and a delicious burger. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food came quickly as usual. Not only do I go here again and again, but I also like to invite guests there.

Another great Easter breakfast buffet, very tasty and varied. Recommended! Good cuisine in the evening too - it's worth trying! Kale, for example, is really great!

We were there with 6 guests and had a nice table in the guild hall. Since it was supposed to start at 1000 a.m., visitors gathered in front of the restaurant from 0945 a.m. Unfortunately the doors didn't open until well after 1000 p.m. Not really serious but kind of strange, maybe someone had gotten sick? The food was varied and good, the selection was convincing. After 1130 a.m. some dishes were missing, I didn't expect that. The staff was very nice and helpful and overall we were satisfied and would like to do it again. I have already recommended the event.

We were with a group in the Knudsborg. First impression of the ambience: it could easily be furnished a little more modern and lovingly. As a group you get a slimmed down card, why? When fully occupied, the number of people is no different. So some of us were disappointed not to be able to choose everything. The service, however, was excellent. A very attentive, nice service!!! The food came quickly and at the end there was a sweet greeting from the kitchen. The food was on average very decent, although the meat on the grill plate was sometimes quite tough, the taste was good, but not enough to win a trophy, even if it was served nicely. The quantity was sufficient, but still quite expensive considering the price/performance ratio. When we said goodbye, we were told all the best and good health, which made us very happy. If the quality of the food is still being worked on, then it will be full stars.

Today, March 22, 2025, four of us went there for dinner. My husband, my mother, and I were there for the first time, and my mother-in-law knew it from before. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The waiter assigned to us arrived promptly. He was really nice and friendly and served us excellently. We ordered: two salmon dishes on leaf spinach with fried potatoes and hollandaise sauce. One Wiener schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce and fries, and one sauerfleisch dish with fried potatoes and remoulade. We were ALL very satisfied with the food. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. It tasted just like Grandma's 😉 My mother and mother-in-law don't usually eat much, but nothing was left on our plates! Then we received a greeting from the kitchen and were served delicious dessert. Various flavors of panna cotta, which also tasted very good. We will definitely eat there again!

Although it was very busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and the service staff was consistently friendly and engaging. One hard-working and friendly employee literally ran through the restaurant to serve guests quickly. While his intentions may have been well-intentioned, he seemed very stressed and caused a lot of unrest. We highly recommend a visit to Knudsborg and will definitely be back.

We had reserved a table at 5 p.m. Unfortunately, there weren't enough menus to choose from, so we had to wait. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for our food. A drink we had chosen was sold out, but it was served at the next table. There were no straws left, and we heard from the kitchen that there weren't enough plates to serve. The servers were friendly but seemed completely overwhelmed. The food was very good. I think they need to revise the concept if they're short on staff. Perhaps just a small menu and fewer tables.

In a group of six people ordered “kale full”. Extremely short delivery time to the table, kale as it should be... Cooked sausages, smoked pork and pork cheek, two different types of kale, crispy fried potatoes and sweet potatoes. Also mustard cucumbers and beetroot. We held our Christmas party there and were completely satisfied. The bowling alley was great and the service was cheerful and polite. We had a schnitzel buffet and everything was delicious and tailored exactly to our wishes. After the buffet they gave us the opportunity to take the leftovers with us and if we ran out of drinks we were asked straight away whether there should be a new one. We had a lot of fun and everyone was in a great mood. Definitely a recommendation.

Var til grønkålsspisning men må sige så ringe mad har vi aldrig spist her. Hamborgryg magte af gris, kålpølser var i meget forskellige farver og smag. Grønkål smagte surt så meget skuffende. Vi har været de sidste 8 år til denne spisning men må sige at det er gået ned af bakke de sidste år, øv. Håber det bliver bedre til næste år.😊

We were in Flensburg for a weekend and found out about the restaurant via Google. The reservation went smoothly online. We had bread with aioli and bruschetta as a starter, the grill plate and kale as a main course. The portions are large and the kale was the best I've eaten so far. My husband was also very happy with his grill plate. Absolute recommendation for home cooking!
