Great service, great food, always happy to come back!

The food was very tasty. The price was a bit above the average for Flensburg. The man who served us today had a very friendly, relaxed, and (yet) respectful, courteous manner in dealing with the guests. The "greenhouse" where we were seated was bright and nicely decorated, but certainly not to everyone's taste. However, there are several other dining rooms there with a different atmosphere. I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Great, authentic restaurant. Very friendly service and excellent food. We always enjoy coming here. It's also very dog-friendly.

We sat in the winter garden, but unfortunately it was a bit loud and warm there.

I celebrated my birthday there with bowling pins, coffee and cake and a burger buffet. Everything was perfect and the burger buffet was great! Any time.

The two of us were there on Wednesday. The sun was shining and the winter garden was therefore open, which was very pleasant. We ate wonderfully tender and spicy spare ribs and a delicious burger. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food came quickly as usual. Not only do I go here again and again, but I also like to invite guests there.

Another great Easter breakfast buffet, very tasty and varied. Recommended! Good cuisine in the evening too - it's worth trying! Kale, for example, is really great!

We were there with 6 guests and had a nice table in the guild hall. Since it was supposed to start at 1000 a.m., visitors gathered in front of the restaurant from 0945 a.m. Unfortunately the doors didn't open until well after 1000 p.m. Not really serious but kind of strange, maybe someone had gotten sick? The food was varied and good, the selection was convincing. After 1130 a.m. some dishes were missing, I didn't expect that. The staff was very nice and helpful and overall we were satisfied and would like to do it again. I have already recommended the event.

We were warmly welcomed and the service was very friendly. I would have liked to give it 10 stars!!! The food was very, very good. When we are back in Flensburg, we will eat there again.

Value for money is right! The quality of the food and the taste were A1. We will definitely come back. The waiter was very friendly, had a few minutes to talk and was attentive. The atmosphere could be a little more comfortable. The winter garden seemed a bit bare, but there were some nice decorations.

Super tasty and incredibly friendly

We were with a group in the Knudsborg. First impression of the ambience: it could easily be furnished a little more modern and lovingly. As a group you get a slimmed down card, why? When fully occupied, the number of people is no different. So some of us were disappointed not to be able to choose everything. The service, however, was excellent. A very attentive, nice service!!! The food came quickly and at the end there was a sweet greeting from the kitchen. The food was on average very decent, although the meat on the grill plate was sometimes quite tough, the taste was good, but not enough to win a trophy, even if it was served nicely. The quantity was sufficient, but still quite expensive considering the price/performance ratio. When we said goodbye, we were told all the best and good health, which made us very happy. If the quality of the food is still being worked on, then it will be full stars.

Today, March 22, 2025, four of us went there for dinner. My husband, my mother, and I were there for the first time, and my mother-in-law knew it from before. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The waiter assigned to us arrived promptly. He was really nice and friendly and served us excellently. We ordered: two salmon dishes on leaf spinach with fried potatoes and hollandaise sauce. One Wiener schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce and fries, and one sauerfleisch dish with fried potatoes and remoulade. We were ALL very satisfied with the food. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. It tasted just like Grandma's 😉 My mother and mother-in-law don't usually eat much, but nothing was left on our plates! Then we received a greeting from the kitchen and were served delicious dessert. Various flavors of panna cotta, which also tasted very good. We will definitely eat there again!

We had a lovely evening at St. Knudsborg. The food was truly delicious. We had the turkey cordon bleu and the Knudsburger. Both dishes were incredibly tasty and highly recommended. Although it was very busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and the service staff was consistently friendly and engaging. One hard-working and friendly employee literally ran through the restaurant to serve guests quickly. While his intentions may have been well-intentioned, he seemed very stressed and caused a lot of unrest. We highly recommend a visit to Knudsborg and will definitely be back.

We had reserved a table at 5 p.m. Unfortunately, there weren't enough menus to choose from, so we had to wait. After ordering, we had to wait over an hour for our food. A drink we had chosen was sold out, but it was served at the next table. There were no straws left, and we heard from the kitchen that there weren't enough plates to serve. The servers were friendly but seemed completely overwhelmed. The food was very good. I think they need to revise the concept if they're short on staff. Perhaps just a small menu and fewer tables.

In a group of six people ordered “kale full”. Extremely short delivery time to the table, kale as it should be... Cooked sausages, smoked pork and pork cheek, two different types of kale, crispy fried potatoes and sweet potatoes. Also mustard cucumbers and beetroot. Clear restaurant recommendation regarding kale!

We held our Christmas party there and were completely satisfied. The bowling alley was great and the service was cheerful and polite. We had a schnitzel buffet and everything was delicious and tailored exactly to our wishes. After the buffet they gave us the opportunity to take the leftovers with us and if we ran out of drinks we were asked straight away whether there should be a new one. We had a lot of fun and everyone was in a great mood. Definitely a recommendation.

Var til grønkålsspisning men må sige så ringe mad har vi aldrig spist her. Hamborgryg magte af gris, kålpølser var i meget forskellige farver og smag. Grønkål smagte surt så meget skuffende. Vi har været de sidste 8 år til denne spisning men må sige at det er gået ned af bakke de sidste år, øv. Håber det bliver bedre til næste år.😊

Very tasty 😋 food and nice service

Very tasty food, four of us ordered different dishes, everything was very tasty and filling. The kale is highly recommended. There were several larger groups in our room that evening, so it was quite loud. Nevertheless: gladly again, delicious food and great service!

The restaurant is cozy and inviting. Food was good, service was ok... we would have liked it if we had been asked more if we would like something to drink... and not that we always had to wait and ask the waitress about it.

I picked up food there today with my wife to enjoy at home. She ordered a kale plate and I ordered the BBQ schnitzel. We live around the corner, so the transport route is a maximum of 5 minutes on foot. The fried potatoes were all soggy. The schnitzel didn't look really fresh. The bacon was not crispy or not fried. The salad didn't look really fresh and the extra sweet potatoes were sweet on the outside but way too hard on the inside. Overall, the potatoes generally had no flavor at all. My wife liked the kale. Unfortunately, I can't recommend eating there. Of course I can't say what the other dishes taste like and of course everyone's food is different. This is just our subjective opinion. When we bought a fries there, it was ok. Maybe that's enough for that.

We were in Flensburg for a weekend and found out about the restaurant via Google. The reservation went smoothly online. We had bread with aioli and bruschetta as a starter, the grill plate and kale as a main course. The portions are large and the kale was the best I've eaten so far. My husband was also very happy with his grill plate. Absolute recommendation for home cooking!

We went to a company party at Knudsborg once again and, as always, we were very satisfied and will of course be back!!!

A wonderful restaurant that shines for each individual guest as well as for groups. I've eaten there in different constellations from two people on a nice evening to 120 people at celebrations and it was great every time. Gladly again.

Soooo, little update from yesterday... There were two of us, we had kale (a plated meal) and Wiener-style schnitzel (full)... both dishes were really great, both in terms of taste and quality... The portions were really generous 😊👌The service was friendly as always and attentive... Requests for changes are also addressed. We left completely satisfied and are already looking forward to the next time... Older post:👇 In terms of taste, the food was really great... not so run-of-the-mill, which for me particularly applies to the burger, which is rightly called Galloway, as it also makes the difference in terms of taste. (so not just chie chie). Price-performance ratio is appropriate given the quality. Good quality just has its price. The staff at reception and on the phone were very friendly and helpful... Small "points of criticism"... I might have: 1) unfortunately the French fries were almost cold when they arrived... okay, I picked them up myself, but in a Styrofoam box and a maximum drive of 10 minutes 2) unfortunately changes to the salad were not taken into account (no cucumbers) 3) The food can also be picked up in reusable containers, unfortunately I was missing this information or it wasn't offered to me... otherwise I would have liked to take advantage of it. ...so complaining at a high level. I will definitely order here more often.

We were there for kale dinner. Everything tasted very good. The smoked pork and sausage were juicy and tender. You can taste the quality here. The service was friendly and attentive and particularly enhanced our stay. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious kale - highly recommended!

Unfortunately there are only 2 stars for the good food, we had kale, and for the nice waiter who served us all evening. What wasn't so nice was the cheeky and unfriendly announcement from another employee that we could still order a drink, but we had to leave the restaurant in half an hour or pay a flat rate of €40.00 per employee. We had a Christmas party there and were not informed that we could only stay there for a limited time or else we would have to pay this flat rate. It wouldn't be a problem at all if it had been communicated to us in a friendly and objective manner. But the cheeky comments the employee made were very inappropriate. We literally felt thrown out. It's a shame it was a nice evening.

I have no criticism. I had the Mamma Mia Burger with Gallowei beef, country ham and parmesan. The mix of ingredients was just perfect. The onions were super braised, the tomatoes were fried, attention was paid to the details. The fries, only salted if requested, turned out perfectly and couldn't be improved. Service great. I will definitely eat here again.

The kale (country) is phenomenal!

Delicious kale is available here! Unfortunately, I have to admit that I lived in the immediate vicinity of St. Knudsborg for a good 20 years around the turn of the millennium, but never been there... :-) We made up for it at the weekend and were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and quick. The drinks were there in a few minutes, the food came about 15-20 minutes after ordering. Considering that the store was quite busy, this was a good achievement. We both had kale (dish) with extra sweet potatoes. The portion was generous (fried potatoes and sweet potatoes were served separately) and we both really enjoyed it. Another visit to test more dishes is already planned :-)

We had a birthday dinner in the Chancellor Room on November 9th, 2024. We were very satisfied with the food and the service. If we had sat in the restaurant or in the winter garden, we would have been even happier.

Very nice restaurant, also suitable for larger or smaller parties. In summer with a beer garden. We ate wonderfully. Seasonally there was half duck (very tasty) with either croquettes or homemade dumplings. I had the classic “veal schnitzel”, my husband had a “Knuds” burger🍔😋 with a Galloway patty. My husband was very pleased that the meat was fresh, not from the freezer as is often the case. We didn't manage to eat dessert. The portions were too big for that.

It was great! Great weather, we could sit at the open glass front (so basically outside), the two waiters were attentive and very nice and the food was great! Large selection on the menu (which gave us pause at first, but it was all really good). Pork medallions, fish platter (three types of fish fillets + scampi) and lumberjack steak (from the barbecue menu). Everything was very good - including the accompanying sauces, fried potatoes, croquettes, vegetable julienne and braised onions. Gladly again!

Very nice restaurant. Staff was totally friendly. Everyone enjoyed the food. My panfish, however, was over-fried on one side. That's why I deducted a star from the food. But we can highly recommend the restaurant.
