I didn't like the food. The portion was very small, and the price wasn't worth it. However, the service was very friendly and nice.

Lovely place, welcoming staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. My husband and I happened upon this place and we had a great time.

I arrived from Aarhus at lunch and immediately began searching for good restaurants, soon finding Nikolai. I had to wait until 5pm for it to open, but it was a worthwhile wait. The Flammkuchen is fantastic, cooked to perfection with a great balance of flavours. The beer is crisp and refreshing, and the service was friendly, multilingual, and overall top notch. It was fairly quiet when I visited, so I was served very quickly, but even on busy days I think this place would definitely be worth the wait. As I said, I made the trip from Denmark, primarily for shopping, but I think next time my trip will be for shopping and Flammkuchen!

Traditionally, we try to eat flammkuchen every time we're on holiday in Germany or France, and we now have some reference points. Nikolai's flammkuchen are perfectly flavorful and have a wonderfully crispy crust—the best we've had so far. The waiter and chef are both very friendly and create a cozy atmosphere. The price is also very reasonable. Highly recommended. Just off the main shopping street!

Yesterday, five of us were there (girls' night) and were served attentively from start to finish. A cozy atmosphere outside in the courtyard. Delicious appetizers and first-class tarte flambée. The young waitress was attentive and very entertaining. Thumbs up 😊👍🏼

The tarte flambée and homemade lemonade were delicious. The staff was very friendly, and 'Manu' in the kitchen was also super funny. We'd love to come back here again, but unfortunately we're only in Flensburg for a short time. You feel truly welcome here. That's something many restaurants have long since forgotten... Guests are actually desired and always welcome. No matter what you offer, you do it wholeheartedly and with good humor. You can see it here: like 👍. And to top it off, the ambiance is very cozy and beautifully designed. The tarte flambée, of course, is delicious and comes in a variety of different combinations. Highly recommended!

What can I say? Service was very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was very stylish and cozy. The food was also very tasty. A cozy courtyard is also included. Fullest recommendation.

What can I say? Best tarte flambée ever!!! We had the classic (Alsatian) and the “Spanish”. Both really great. Plus perfect service and a cool ambience. You could only work on white wine, but there are no deductions for that. We will come back next time we visit Flensburg. Thanks

The best sandwich in all of Flensburg, the service knows everything well and the beer is varied and Störtebeker is a welcome distraction compared to Flens (nothing against Flens). Rustic and modern will be perfect for relaxation in this hole in the wall. Vegan and vegetarian dishes are available, but there is also meat. Anyone can eat here. Check it out A meal here is more than a sandwich. I've been here three times now and each time I always taste something different. Absolute must for Flensburgers

The Nikolai is a nice meeting place in the center of Flensburg. Delicious food and drinks in a beautiful ambience invite you to socialize. Gladly again.

Unfortunately we were forgotten by the waitress and received a schnapps on the house as an apology. After our drinks came quickly, we waited over an hour for our tarte flambées. Unfortunately the tarte flambées were disappointing and nothing special.

Sure. Anyone who uses a wheelchair like me can only sit outside and not use the toilet. It's best to come as a wheelchair user with an empty bladder and then later use the customer wheelchair toilet in the extra sheet Gr Str 61. The food is very tasty, carafes of water are placed there. You will be served quickly. On my most recent visit I ate the sweet one and took a Norwegian and an Alsatian with me. Had cocoa and coffee with milk because I can't tolerate any alcohol. Yummy. Mega. Always happy to come back.

The “Franzose” flamenkuchen was a perfect combination of salty and sweet flavors, derived by the blend of goat cheese and bacon together with the sweetness of the dates. I’d come again just for this flamenkuchen. The service was on point as well. A small beer and a flamenkuchen will set you back about €15.

Small but nice tarte flambée menu. The tarte flambées are freshly topped by the very friendly chef, who is happy to let you watch them over the counter. This means you can also express your wishes for toppings, such as not having as many onions. The service was also very attentive and courteous. For people with limited mobility, getting to the toilets can be challenging or even impossible, as they are on the 2nd floor.

Great service, great Flammkuchen. Update 7/2024 - We stopped here to eat flammküchen again, on or way to Norway. Made a small detour via Flensburg city, especially for NIKOLAI. Very friendly and fast service, with great house made lemonade and top tasty flammkuchen. We liked all of them a lot. Hope to see you again next year! ;-)

Other than Weinstube, I really enjoy going to Nikolai to seek for exquisite Flammkuchen in Flensburg. I enjoy their vegetarian selection and the service is really friendly! Very nice atmosphere and the place is much more spacious. There are also Steckdose to charge your phone or in case you need to work. The ambience of the place is just cozy and it’s located right by the city center.

Great food, cozy atmosphere and good prices. The staff made a little mistake on our order but they corrected it in 5 minutes, were very accomodating and gave ud a bit of a discount.

During a father/children's weekend we happened to see NIKOLAI in the Holmhof while walking past and decided together that we would have tarte flambée today. After a quick reservation by phone (which we didn't really need today) and an eventful day in Flensburg, we arrived at the HOLMHOF in the evening. We were immediately impressed by the location with a nice atmosphere and a few outdoor spaces in the old courtyard. When we entered the NIKOLAI, a beautiful brick building opened up with the old wooden frame and at the same time a very nice waitress who welcomed us. Today I was alone with my two girls (6 & 8 years old) and I immediately felt welcome and looked after. The tarte flambée menu is manageable, the accompanying drinks are well selected and the “barrel of the month” always invites a surprise. We chose the classic and a tarte flambée with salmon, as well as bread with aioli and we were all well fed. Afterwards we had a “sweetie” and we were able to leave the NIKOLAI blissfully after a little chat with the boss. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Delicious flamkuchen. And the vegan one and the Sicilian one. We waited quite a long time for the order to be accepted. I had to go and ask for service. Payment at the cash register where enterprising waitresses ask if we will give a tip. In such a situation, will anyone refuse? It's probably a little too… I don't know how to describe it. But I had some discomfort.

A flammkuchen oasis in the heart of Flensburg. The restaurant is a bit anonymous in Nikolaistrasse, Flensburg, but is really worth a visit. What can I say..... Had the ajoli bread as a starter for €5.90? And I was more than disappointed. It was basically just 4 small strips of the 2€ flatbread from Rewe with some ready-made ajoli on the side.... The tarte flambées were quite tasty, but also quite small. It's more of a restaurant where wine and beer are the main focus and the food plays a secondary role... What a shame.

Ganz toll wie hier das gute Konzept von der Weinstube im Krusehof weiter verfolgt und umgesetzt wurde. Das Personal ist sowas von freundlich und hilfsbereit und machen einen super wohlfühl Service,man fühlt sich sowas von gut bedient und möchte garnicht mehr gehen. Ich kann den Inhaber nur loben der hier etwas ganz tolles umgesetzt hat und wünsche gute Umsätze. Wir werden auf jedenfall Stammkunden.
