Anyone who has had enough of overwhelmed staff and excessive prices is in good hands with the host couple Uschi and Martin. With your (Well)jeföhl, a personal relationship with the guests is quickly created. Even though the menu appears clear, every dish was personally conjured up by Martin. What is learned is learned and homemade bread is already a pleasure. Meanwhile, Uschi takes care of the service at the table and so no empty glass goes unnoticed. A great alternative to the usual wine bars on the Moselle, and not just for beer drinkers. We have only been in Zell for 3 days and are going to Kölsch-Jeföhl again this evening.

I've been there every year since at least 2002, sometimes more sometimes less, but it always feels great and the food is really tasty and fairly priced!

Attended an event with food. The event took some getting used to, the food was buffet style (in terms of taste!)

Service was good and nice, the atmosphere was quite quaint and nice (except for all the cobwebs on the ceiling/beams) the food, Schnitzel Jäger style, was unimaginably bad and absolutely not worth the price. No recommendation!!!!

Within sight of the late Baroque “new fountain” in the Bleichenviertel of the state capital Mainz you will find the Maxim, an elegant, cozy restaurant with a cocktail bar on the ground floor and a lounge on the upper floor, which also has apartments for rent. The restaurant is centrally located on Neubrunnenplatz and is therefore easy to find. Since the Maxim is located in a pedestrian zone, it cannot be reached directly, but there is enough parking space in the surrounding area. People with disabilities can easily reach the restaurant's dining room and the cocktail bar on the ground floor; The lounge on the upper floor, however, is not barrier-free and there is no wheelchair-accessible toilet. You can get everything there, from hearty breakfasts to snacks, pizzas, burgers, steaks, schnitzels, gourmet pans, pasta, salads and grilled specialties to whiskey and classic cocktails. Vegans go away empty-handed – apart from fries. For vegetarians there is a clear number of dishes and side dishes on the menu. The dishes consist of high-quality ingredients; Salads and vegetables are fresh and crunchy. The order is presented attractively in a reasonable time frame and served at the required temperature. The service leaves nothing to be desired; the staff is friendly and attentive. The web presence is up to date; However, the vegetarian burger variant is missing there. The prices are reasonable and appropriate for the quality and portion sizes; Payment can be made in cash or by card. The Maxim is getting old; Both time and the numerous events including public viewing have left their mark, especially on the sanitary facilities. The “towns” are clean, but could do with some cosmetics; A few degrees warmer wouldn't be bad either. All in all, Maxim is definitely worth a visit. The wide range of food and drinks, especially the delicious cocktails, has something for almost every taste.

Absolutely not recommended. The food tastes really bad and poor quality ingredients were used to prepare it. We had falafel and chicken but couldn't eat anything.

The food was way too expensive. It was extremely cold in the restaurant and the door couldn't be closed for some inexplicable reason... The food wasn't good either and was cold.
