The ambiance and view are good. But that's about it. We sent back the mushroom schnitzel. It was probably just a roux or something. We only ate the Duette schnitzel because... hunger drives it in... we left the rest. Never again, it was a disaster. The mushroom schnitzel was canceled. Still, only 1 point for the food, and that's still too many.

Better not go here for food. Everything's frozen and poorly prepared!

A 0.75 liter carafe of water costs €9.90. I haven't even paid that much in expensive hotels. That's really outrageous. 1 espresso, 1 cappuccino, and the water costs €18 😅 That's all I can say. I definitely won't be coming back.

Absolutely disappointing – never again! We arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 p.m. and had to wait a full 30 minutes for the waiter, until we finally had to call him ourselves. We ordered fish and schnitzel – both looked suspicious from the start, and the taste confirmed our suspicions: they were clearly frozen food that had simply been warmed up. The waiter even admitted it himself! I've never experienced anything like this before – simply embarrassing. We paid 40 euros for two people, and it was truly inedible. Absolutely not recommended!

Yesterday, I wanted to eat somewhere nice and in a good atmosphere. When the food arrived, the mood was immediately ruined! We ordered schnitzel and fish. Everything looked terrible! The food was frozen and heated in the microwave. In the end, the bill was disproportionate to the quality. I can't recommend it!!!

I'm really sorry, because everyone was actually nice, but apart from the view and the environment, there was nothing positive. It's true that the food was freshly made (cordon bleu), but it was some frozen (maybe from Lidl), fried stuff. The fries were the same 😕. All this was a little expensive. 2 portions, plus 2 soft drinks, a ubisali (also tasteless 😔) more than €60. For a meal....

Except for the salads, all food is thrown into the fryer. Pricey because of the view of the Moselle, but it is definitely not worth it. You should absolutely NOT eat here!

Absolute disgrace!!! Lure offers on the street don't promise what you get. Food quality worse than bad takeaway food. We were there with 4 people. We ordered 1 Pils, 2 large grape juice spritzers and a small grape juice spritzer, 2x normal size schnitzel, 1x fried fish and 1x calamari as the main course. The fries were lukewarm and partly raw. The calamari was something, just not what we expected, we even suspect that it was just dough. The fried fish was just ok. Everything was fried and corresponds to frozen goods. We paid €81. The staff understands very little German and didn't even come to the table to ask if anything else was needed or if everything was OK. Since we were in no way satisfied with the food and someone else came to collect, we didn't give a tip. The waiter then made a snarky comment. Unfortunately we didn't look at the reviews beforehand, otherwise this wouldn't have happened to us. However, this experience was still a topic of conversation for two days. It's a shame because the atmosphere looks really promising.

Several hairs in the dip, the calamaris were undercooked and cold, totally overpriced for the number. The wheat didn't taste good either. No recommendation at all to come here. Never never again, even if the ambience is beautifully done

We stopped here for a drink. 4 of us. We asked for a water- mineral in a bottle. They brought us glasses with what I can think is the soda water from the bar for mixes. They charged us 6,50 euro EACH. We asked for a bottle & they brought individual glasses. We can get a bottle for 3 to 5 euro that will serve 4! We did complain to the manager and he did refund us 10 euro, but just beware of this rip off.

Unfortunately very poor quality for high prices! The schnitzel was a finished product that was completely soaked in oil and the fries were cold. In response to our complaint, we quickly received a large plate of hot and fresh fries, but it still wasn't tasty and the prices were completely exorbitant. Other guests also left some of their food behind, gave it back or complained. We can only advise all visitors away from this restaurant!!!

We were actually only there to drink but because the children wanted to eat we also had tiramisu and nuggets with fries. NOT MORE. And almost 60€. For what? The Cochem boat trip afterwards cost twice as little. That for the price-performance ratio. We really liked the fries, the tiramisu was tasty but you could tell it was a bit older and the consistency was very mushy. The drinks were completely normal as you know it. I never give reviews, but today I have to. After almost 52 years, I have never eaten as badly as I did here. Bad ready-made schnitzel with ready-made sauces for overpriced prices. Of course it's always your own fault if you don't inform yourself beforehand, but such a restaurant is still a disgrace. Hands off.

Had a great meal here. Don't expect star quality, but for what you pay I had an excellent cordon blue. The amount of fries is not very large, but actually just right. Some raw vegetables would have been nice. Drinks are indeed expensive, for a glass of soft drink you pay €5.90.

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews until I got my food... The low ratings are definitely justified. The cordon bleu with fries was basically edible, but not really good - just carelessly prepared ready-made food. It would be ok for a snack bar at half the price, but in this case definitely too expensive. I find the drinks prices to be a disgrace (€5.90 for a glass of Sprite). The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they weren't particularly committed or motivated either. Bottom line, in my opinion, tourist rip-off.

Let's first come to the things that are or were positive and TOP: Top location of the restaurant directly on the waterfront. Distinctive service spirit from service worker Isaak. Very friendly and understanding! But what definitely needs improvement is the taste and quality as well as the extent of the food. In my opinion, it would be better to reduce the large selection of all dishes and focus more on the quality of the dishes. The baguette didn't taste good and had apparently been ready for a long time; So unfortunately it was relatively dry. The fries were so salty. My husband's schnitzel dish was cold right when it was served. He let it go back to warm up again. My dish was also only lukewarm when it was served. When the neighboring table was cleared, a lot of crumbs were left behind and not wiped away. When using the cutlery, we unfortunately found dirt/food residue between the fork tines. The owner of the restaurant should take all the negative reviews as an opportunity to improve things.

Absolute disgrace when it comes to the price/performance ratio. First, an Aperol Spritz. In a glass 0.2ml (small glass 1/4 full) with 4 thick ice cubes. Then came the schnitzel with champion “flour mush”. Never had such a bad schnitzel before. For a whopping 23 euros!!! Save yourself if you can!! It looks better in the picture than it does in person😂😂we're really not crazy... but that didn't work at all. I hope more people read reviews beforehand. We will do that in the future.😊

Just disgusting!! We ordered a schnitzel. (Roasted onion schnitzel and a béarnaise schnitzel) When the food came you immediately saw that it was frozen goods. Not even the breading was homemade. It was also advertised that a schnitzel could also be made with chicken. The waitress denied this. The baguette for the starter was a bit old. The food itself should have been returned. We were seated at a table where it suddenly became very cold, as if there was a draft. With a small child this is not acceptable at all. We asked if the door could be closed. We ate here with four people. The order was taken quickly and the food came very quickly. The portion was very small for the money. Meat was very dry and tough. The drink prices were also not justified. The ambience, however, was very nice and cozy.

Absolutely terrible place. The chef in the kitchen knows nothing!! Color, taste and look of the food is discussing. We ordered fired mushrooms that came with older fries togheter! The bread was hard and the butter yellowish for being so long in the fridge. The beefstake was nothing special surround by a lot of fries that taste of old boiled oil…. Unfortunately, there is no option to award zero stars or even one minus star. The bread was old and was complained about. Afterwards, half-frozen bread was served. The food was generally not edible and screamed like ready meals. The downer was a nice view of the Moselle, which was sweetened by a disastrous YouTube playlist. A roaring air conditioning system in the background distracted from the kitschy atmosphere. Hopefully this experience doesn't result in a short-term visit to the family doctor.

There were five of us in the inn and enjoyed the rustic decor and a hearty meal. The drinks were very expensive and were delivered quickly, and the service was also nice. Don't know where to start at all 🙈. On the street we were invited to the “restaurant” in a friendly but somewhat pushy manner by a lady. So far, everything is good. The ambience and the view were appealing anyway. An unpleasant/unfriendly lady (Betty) greeted us upstairs. Okay, we swallowed and took a seat anyway. We ordered and after about 5 minutes our food arrived 🤣👍....... Okay, why not?! 😜. Soooooooo The sauces for our schnitzel were UNDERGROUND, tasted spoiled, and the schnitzel was cold! The drinks glasses were dirty, only cucumbers and coleslaw were offered, these were out of the bucket 🙈🙈. All in all an absolute disaster 😒. I refused to pay this, the friendly lady became loud and rude: "I would have already started eating the schnitzel and sipping the drink." At some point I also got loud and paid. We went to our car, hungry and angry, and went to eat at home.

That was the worst thing I have ever experienced!!!! We ordered 2 schnitzels with Bernaise sauce. The sauce was almost all over the whole schnitzel, which was the most harmless thing. The schnitzel was not breaded but in beer batter and came from the deep fryer. Our plates were full of fat. When we asked if we could speak to the boss, the non-German-speaking staff said, "I have no idea." There was no apology or anything like that. We put the money on the table for the drinks and left. Please don't gain this experience and look for another restaurant. I would also like to add that the prices at the customer stopper are different than on the menu, so the whole thing is almost akin to fraudulent deception. So please avoid this store. Absolutely none of the staff here knows their craft.

Absolutely terrible!!! 1. COLD food Fries were ice cold, supposedly a technical defect in the kitchen. Full calculation of the plate. 2. You are asked which salad you would like with the meal. The salatit was charged 18.00 euros on the bill. No accommodation 3. Schnitzel would be brought as was not ordered. My husband ordered schnitzel with hollandaise. But I got schnitzel with fried onions. The required hollandaise would then be charged at 3.00 euros. The alleged BOSS of the restaurant was not willing to accommodate me with the price. I paid 90.00 euros for all of this. Of which 21.00 euros were deducted. I advise everyone away from this store. The taste and the service were a disaster.

There are many restaurants that practice their craft with passion and offer quality - unfortunately this is not one of them. We cannot and do not recommend this restaurant.

Unmotivated staff, broken furniture, cold food of poor quality. Unfortunately a culinary low point.

Unfortunately we hadn't read other reviews. The baked potatoes are simply 2 potatoes out of the pot and absolutely overpriced. Our pepper schnitzel was cold and also of very poor quality. Absolutely not recommended

One star is still too many. Raw schnitzel from the fryer, bottomless fries. Aioli supposedly homemade. Definitely bought. I should actually have been paid compensation for that!

The food and the prices are an absolute disgrace!!!! A "Schnitzel Week" is advertised. I ordered the "Braumeister's Favorite" which is a frozen cordon bleu with mushroom cream sauce from the packet (I'm 100% sure) so the taste is absolutely shit... a coleslaw also from the bucket in miniature size for €4.90 and then a 0.4L light one for a whopping €7.90 (I hate it the bird out) and my 9 colleagues who were there were all extremely shocked and disappointed at how bad the food was and how high the price was Actually you should give 0 stars or - stars

It's called "To the Bagpipes". Oh great, you're happy and then you're hit with unbearable Ballermann music. Unbearable! Food and service mediocre.

No star deserved! Cold fries, beer was totally disgusting! Ordered tarte flambée with salmon, no salmon in sight. Waiter approached and didn't get a proper answer. Just bad!!!!

It's hard to believe that all of these negative reviews are true. We went to the inn today and it was well attended. The two of us ordered schnitzel. One children's portion and one normal. Both plates were equally full, the schnitzel and fries were subpar. Actually, you can't sell something like that for that much money. I let the first schnitzel go back, the second one wasn't any better either. Paid €50 for 2 drinks, 1 salad and 2 portions of schnitzel. We would have been better off giving the money away.

Traditional style place and very nice interior. But, take just beer, food is not worth of eating (unless you are really hungry and no other place is open, like I had). Schnitzel was dry and side dish was just fries. Softdrinks was expensive (small glass 5,50 €). Good location near river Mosel and service was good.

The restaurant is located in the very center of Cochem. Outside, banners indicate good prices for main dishes. Inside the restaurant, from the menu - it turns out that these dishes at these prices are only for seniors or teenagers under 16... Medium-sized cutlets, oversalted. Three stars for friendly service...

I can't recommend the place. Unfortunately, one star is too many for everything. The schnitzel was super small and the fries were cheap. Unfortunately everything came to the table cold and the door was open the whole time and wasn't closed. I ate with a jacket on and it was cold.

“I've spent a lot of money and I'm served a plate like this - just a joke! The meat is dry, tough and completely tasteless; you can chew it forever without getting any better. And the three slices of bread? Charred like lumps of coal, hard as stone - how can a restaurant serve something like that to its guests? The prices are sky high but the quality is subpar. This is pure rip off! Never again!"

Very beautiful view , the food was however okayish. The vegetarian flamkukken was good however the red tomato soup was okayish and the mushrooms balls had lots of oil

We were actually going to the Italian place and walked in here. Thinking it was Italian but the menu seemed off. First do not order the water. It's 10 euro...most ever I have seen anywhere. It was freezing in there as they had the door open and boss refused to close it. So we froze eating. Food was ok. But our screw up and we paid for it.

The food was a complete disaster. Fries cold and not ready. Schnitzel didn't taste good + a feather of whatever animal on the thawed tarte flambée. Waiters only laugh when you give the food back. Super nice shop with terrible food.

Ich habe noch nie so schlecht gegessen. 30 min auf die Getränke gewartet und weitere 50min aufs Essen, die Bestellung fürs Essen wurde erst aufgenommen nach dem das Getränke kamen ! Das ist noch nicht einmal eine schlechte Pommesbude und die Preise eine Frechheit!!! Diesen Ausflug nach Cochem streichen wir in unseren Erinnerungen .

We were there to end the day with a cozy meal. What was first noticeable was that the place was just draughty and cool because the doors were open. We thought to ourselves, we'll stay anyway. However, the big shock came later. The rump steak I ordered, which was supposed to be medium rare, arrived completely cooked through. The potato wedges were only lukewarm. My partner's meal was supposed to be tarte flambée with salmon, but it came with small prawns. As if that wasn't enough, the tarte flambée was ice cold and not edible. Since we were so hungry, some of the food was eaten. When we asked the landlord about it, they only offered a coffee on the house. After saying no, the starter was refunded to us. All in all, it wasn't nice there. Everything was far too tight and the service took a long time when ordering and paying. Despite the discount, there was a hefty bill of almost €82 for two people. Personally, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone and I won't eat there again. Unfortunately the reviews reflect our experience and in the future I will probably look at other people's experiences first.

Just don't eat here! I returned my schnitzel. Terribly prepared ready meals for absolutely high prices! The frying oil was old. There were four of us in the restaurant. One of my friends ordered steak and vomited several times during the night. Where are the responsible authorities?! Unreasonable!!! By the way - the cyclist costs €7.90! Like the beer, but it's not on the menu. Just rip off and cheeky.
