Honigsäckel - Restaurant & Eventlocation in Bad Dürkheim

We went there on the recommendation of Gasthaus Leeze, a group of 5 people, including 2 teenagers. We were all very satisfied with the food, the ambience, the friendly welcome and the perfect service. It was so good that we went back the next day for dessert, which wasn't a problem. We would have loved to go back for dinner, but we had booked at another location, which unfortunately wasn't as convincing.

The place is highly recommended, especially because of the great food. We had a family celebration there on March 8th, 2025 and everyone was very enthusiastic. We'll definitely be back. Unfortunately, parking spaces are very limited

The Honigsäckel is located in the middle of the picturesque vineyards of Ungstein, a charming village on the German Wine Route. This restaurant is known for its very good cuisine, which includes both traditional Palatinate dishes and international specialties. The restaurant impresses with its cozy atmosphere. The beautiful furnishings and attentive service create a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to linger. When the weather is nice you can dine in the courtyard.

A restaurant with a very pleasant ambiance and courteous and attentive service. We had Maultaschen (ravioli) with salad and asparagus salad with fried potatoes. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Only the wines, from the on-site vineyard, were a bit overpriced.

Delicious upscale German cuisine and hearty Palatinate dishes. A beautiful ambiance in the winery, with a cozy courtyard for outdoor seating.

Hello, Appetizer: Salad, was good... Main Course: Cordon Bleu with croquettes and sauce...was good...unfortunately, only 4 croquettes, which was very little. Dessert: Kaiserschmarrn, very nicely presented. Unfortunately, they were cold. It was also a shame that the other dessert arrived 20 minutes later, so we couldn't eat it together. All in all, not bad...just a Cordon Bleu, the sauce was okay. Quite expensive though...€4.20 extra for the sauce...no side salad with the main course, and very few sides. You can certainly eat everything there, and it tasted okay. But as mentioned above, there are a few downsides.

We were there for an event with friends, as a combination with popular theater (here Deidesheim) and combined with gourmet food - that's what we were told. We laughed a lot, especially since we have known and liked one of the actors' mouths for 30 years, so the performance was great. The culinary offering... wasn't that good at all. Carelessly presented in warming containers in the anteroom without any labeling of the food or decoration... like in a retirement home, take and eat. First there was a lamb's lettuce and then a selection that screamed like a vegetable side dish, but it wasn't. Very disappointing. We were there 30 years ago at a family wedding and remembering a fantastic celebration, we thought it could only be good. Well, 30 years ago. The fact that a 'servant' was walking around in down hoe all evening was also irritating. I then asked him to turn on the heating, we all had nothing against that 😉 He didn't understand it, but he was a funny colleague. In general, the service was overwhelmed - but we still enjoyed the performance very much. So go straight to the theater and eat beforehand, where you are guaranteed to enjoy it and the food is served in style, because it wasn't cheap.

A great evening in a perfect symbiosis with the Boulevard Theater Deidesheim. Very good food, served in a friendly and competent manner, in a cozy and festive atmosphere. The theater's actors and comedians were once again terrific. Thanks to all. We had a wonderful evening.

Once a year, in December, the Boulevard Theater's "Laughing and Feasting" takes place in Honigsäckel. Here the restaurant presents itself at its best. The event is enchanted by incredibly good service, good food and a beautiful ambience. This place is the perfect host for that. There are not many parking spaces, but there is a large, additional parking lot at the entrance to the town

Just a perfect place to relax and enjoy

Wir hatten das Gourmetmenü von Freunden geschenkt bekommen und waren voller Erwartungen. Leider musste die Freude einer maßlosen Enttäuschung weichen. Begonnen mit einer wässrig, ranzig schmeckenden Kürbiscremesuppe begann unser Menü. Danach eiskalte und matschige Bruscettas. Hauptgang war eine viel zu fette Hähnchenbrust, verkochtem TK Brokkoli und einer Soße die schmeckte wie aus einer Großküche. Die Kartoffeln waren tatsächlich sehr lecker....das wars dann aber auch...jetzt dachten wir rettet der Nachtisch noch den Ausgang des Menüs....weit gefehlt...flüssiges Pannacotta (!!??) künstlich schmeckende Sprühsahne und ein "Bollen" Vanillieis ließen uns wieder keine Wahl nach den ersten Bissen weiter zu Speisen und ließen das Meiste einfach abräumen. Wir haben seit Jahren, vor allem in der Pfalz (!), noch nie so schlecht gegessen und handwerklich ungenügend zubereitete Speisen serviert bekommen! Als wir das Weingut Wolf informierten hat man sich entschuldigt und uns eine Flasche Wein zur Entschädigung zugeschickt (die Weine können wir uneingeschränkt besten Wissens und Gewissens empfehlen! ) . Das Restaurant, bzw Pegas Catering, der Betreiber, hat nicht einmal auf unsere Kritik reagiert! Bitte unbedingt meiden !

We spontaneously got a table for 7 people after prior telephone inquiry and were warmly welcomed. Very nice service staff, the food came after a reasonable waiting time, pre-heated plates, simple, local dishes are also offered, everyone enjoyed the food very much

So if you want to have a really good and a little traditional meal with great service, this is the right place for you. The menu is not large but I would say there is something for everyone. The service is great and with a lot of humor and friendliness. The food took exactly as long as it should and tasted incredibly good. Price-performance absolutely fine! We will definitely come back. It's definitely worth stopping off at the Honigsackel. But you should reserve a table in advance.

Whether inside or outside, it's good to sit here. We had a buffet where the meat was excellent. I've never experienced that at buffets. Plus the staff, who were really on the ball. Nothing to complain about, just praise!

Celebrated our wedding here. We received great support in all of our concerns, we were helped with planning and given tips. The staff did a lot of work for us and the food was simply great, despite the fact that it was also a sausage market. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The location was super nice.

We had a very nice evening with good food and very nice, attentive service. The only downside was that there was a corresponding background noise due to the high number of guests in the outdoor lighting, but you just have to expect that 😊 if it suits you, we'll be happy to come back.

We had dinner there yesterday and were so impressed. You don't know where to start raving. The food is excellent, the service is very attentive and courteous, the wine is great. We can only recommend the restaurant. We will come back in any case .

We were on our way home from Italy, walked in here and unfortunately it was fully booked. Asked if they please had a table for 2 people, we are tired and hungry. The manager arranged a nice table within 2 minutes. We had a delicious meal here, nice pieces of meat and hot fries. They came to ask 3 times if everything was okay. Yes you can eat very well here and top service to help us even though it was full. We had a nice evening!.

We were invited to dinner today by my wife's grandpa. I had the goat cheese duet as a starter. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the portion for €12.90. Personally, I just expected a little more here. My wife had the cream of asparagus soup. Some asparagus would have been nice to add here. The main courses were delicious. Here a great respect for cuisine and service. The truffle butter for the pasta with the salmon steak today didn't meet my own quality standards and so I was asked to choose another side dish. It's nice when you're so honest with yourself that sometimes something doesn't meet your standards.

Super delicious food and seasonal cuisine. A little more expensive but the food was really great! The service staff was also very friendly and always there. There was even a treat for the dog. We'd love to come back!

Wir waren mit Bus zu 51 Personen zu Gast. Super Bedienung! Schnell, kompetent, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Tische schön gedeckt. Das Büfett war lecker, ausreichend, nicht überfüllt. Der Nachtisch wurde sogar im Glas serviert. Es wurden immer die leeren Teller abgeräumt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Wer hier feiert hat alles richtig gemacht!

We were there today with a group of 51 people. There was a Palatinate buffet with cold and warm delicacies and a delicious almond dessert in a glass. Everything tasted good. Such friendliness and competence of the staff! Just one waiter who managed everything perfectly and super quickly. Respect! No questions asked about who ordered which drinks, everything was set out correctly. There were no empty plates, they were cleared away immediately. We were all thrilled. Anyone who celebrates here has chosen the right location. We recommend!

Haben uns das Restaurant Honigsäckel als Eventlocation angesehen. Leider wurden wir bei der Führung unfreundlich und äußerst unprofessionell von der Pächterin/Geschäftsführerin behandelt. Sehr schade, da der Hof, das Restaurant und der Festsaal einen positiven Eindruck gemacht haben. Ebenfalls das Servicepersonal welches uns freundlich und hilfsbereit empfangen haben.

Even from the outside you're looking forward to entering the restaurant, even in winter. It was very nicely lit. Although not many guests come during the week, there is a lavish, fresh menu and great desserts. There were four of us and we would love to come back. The veal goulash with spaetzle was wonderful!

We were there this evening for our annual Christmas dinner. The first time… Everyone was thrilled with the service and the food. Our waiter in particular was extremely friendly and in a good mood… We were particularly impressed by the fries 😂 There were several people at the table who were really impressed. Personally, I have rarely had better fries served in a restaurant. We will come back in any case. ♥️

Preis -Leistung hat mich nicht überzeugt. Das Essen war nicht schlecht, Service sehr teuer. Es wurde nicht nur die Servicekraft nach 22.00 Uhr berechnet, sondern Chef und Chefin haben sich auch die Stunden bezahlen lassen.....

Das Restaurant hat ein schönes Ambiente. Der Service funktioniert, auch mit einer größeren Gruppe, sehr gut. Meine Wahl des Gerichts Cordon Bleu war die falsche. Es war nicht trocken, aber auch etwas blass angebraten. Die Beilage Pommes Frites war sehr überschaubar und war leider nicht mein Geschmack. Dafür war der nicht beim Cordon Bleu inkludierte Beilagensalat wirklich sehr gut und auch Abwechslungsreich. Ich fand das gebotene Essen, insbesondere zum aufgerufen Preis, nicht passend und kann daher leider nur 3 Sterne vergeben. Evtl. war es auch nur das falsche Gericht und die anderen Gerichte sind besser 😉.

Alles super bis auf die langen Wartezeiten für das Essen.

Wir waren übers Wochenende mit dem Wohnmobil in Ungestein. Tag der offenen Weinkeller. So waren wir zunächst im Weinkeller des Weinguts Wolf. Super schön gemacht. Anschließend sind wir ins Restaurant Honigsäckel direkt nebenan. Sehr nette Atmosphäre, super freundliches Personal. Das Essen: Feldsalat für 10€ war ganz ok, Gänsekeule für 30€ teuer aber gut, Knödel so lala. Insgesamt eine Weiterempfehlung.

Wären dort zu einer Familienfeierlichkeit eingeladen. Das altdeutsche Ambiente mit dunklem Holz, Hirsch- und Rehgeweihen ist nicht so mein Geschmack. Der Service und das Essen waren jedoch sehr gut. Da gab es nichts auszusetzen.

Das Essen (Firmenevent) war als Buffet angerichtet. Auswahl war genug vorhanden, nur leider zu wenig (z.B. Lachs, geb. Schafskäse...), für die Menge an Personen die Essen wollten. Hervorheben möchte ich die Grillstation im Hof, da war alles lecker. Nachspeise Schokocreme im Glas, leider nicht der Bringer, schmeckte nicht so als wenn Milch drin wäre... Service sehr durchwachsen, Teller und Besteck nicht genug da, wenn nach dem ersten Gang jeder seinen Teller abgibt... Schade für eine so tolle Location... Privat würde ich hier nicht essen gehen

Essen und Services sind sehr gut. Der Freisitz/ Hof ist schon begrünt und bestuhlt. Einzige Punkt ist die laut schallwirkende Geräuschkulisse, wenn voll besetzt ist. Aber vielleicht bin ich auch hörempfindlich.

Im Zuge einer Hochzeit an diesem wunderschönen Ort gewesen. Das Ambiente ist insbesondere für einen Stadtmenschen äußerst ansprechend. Allein der liebevoll arrangierte und mit Weinreben gestaltete Innenhof ist ein Traum! Der Service war durchweg von Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit geprägt, das Essen auswahltechnisch und geschmacklich super! Eine wundervolle Location für eine super schöne Hochzeit! :)

Regionale Küche zu gehobenen Preisen. Tolles Ambiente. Sehr gutes Weinangebot. Die dreierlei Bruschetta als Vorspeise waren etwas zu trocken. Das Cordon bleu war sehr gut. Das Schweinefilet war schön rosa gebraten. Die Pommes haben ein spezielles Lob verdient! Wir würden wieder kommen.

In letzter Zeit öfter dort und ganz zufrieden gewesen. Dieser Tage sehr enttäuscht gegangen - Flammkuchen richtig lieblos mit fast nur fettigen Stücken belegt, der Beilagensalat eine Frechheit, welke Blätter auf Eimerkraut, Pommes nach ranzigem Fett geschmeckt. Sehr schade, aber da gibt es besseres in der Umgebung. Der Service "stets bemüht", aber Herzlichkeit sieht anders aus. Und die gruselige laute Schlagermucke aus der Küche, hat auch die anderen Gäste irritiert... Wem's gefällt... Komisch, diese Rezension wird immer wieder gelöscht, dabei ist sie vom Sommer 2022...

Wir kamen heute Mittag eher durch Zufall hierher, beim erkunden der Region. Es empfing uns ein sehr freundlicher Kellner, wir nahmen im überdachten sehr schön gestalteten Außenbereich Platz. Unser Hund bekam sofort einen Napf Wasser von der Kellnererin gebracht und nach unserem Okay ein Leckerchen. Das Essen (Saumagen und Cordon Bleu) waren sehr lecker, die Weine spitze! Bei unserer nächsten Reise in die Region kommen wir mit Sicherheit wieder! Der Service und das Essen war unglaublich!

Wir waren kurzfristig mit 35 Leuten für unser Abi-Jubiläum dort. Die Absprachen vorher haben sehr gut funktioniert und die Stornos am Tag selbst waren auch kein Problem. Bedienungen super nett und zuvorkommend. Essen super. Ambiente klasse! Gerne wieder!

Wir haben 2022 unsere Hochzeit im Honigsäckel gefeiert. Es war perfekt. Tina hat mit Herzblut die Hochzeit gemeinsam mit uns geplant, dank ihrer Erfahrung super beraten und uns an unserem großen Tag liebevoll unterstützt. Obwohl es an dem Abend einen personellen Engpass gab, lief alles reibungslos. Das Essen und der Service waren herausragend. Wir können die Location und Tina wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns schon sehr darauf, als Gäste das Honigsäckel nochmals zu besuchen.

Alles in allem kann man sich hier nur wohlfühlen. Wir haben es genossen. Das Essen war super schnell da. Da lohnt es sich fast eine Vorspeise noch zu nehmen um nicht zu schnell wieder gehen zu müssen. Preis Leistung passt hier. Viel Spaß beim Schlemmen.
