Great location, but the small "Christmas market" unfortunately can't cope with the rush!

I really enjoy going there. but this time on the table with special dishes was Kaiserschmarren, oh I thought delicious. But it wasn't like that, a small portion of underbaked, browned, tasteless something. Were very disappointed as the other dishes are always excellent and the portions are also good. Too bad

As always, super nice, very tasty food, cozy! Had mulled wine outside at the small forest Christmas market and inside we had delicious roast pork with the best potato dumplings and red cabbage and a delicious lentil and vegetable soup 👍 we always come back anyway 🤩 the beautiful path through the Palatinate Forest is always worth it!

I love flamed salmon in the run-up to Christmas. And unfortunately not just me! Lambertskreuz is always well attended, but even more so in Advent. Doesn't matter! It is beautifully decorated for Christmas and the mulled wine tastes good. A worthwhile goal!

Very nice as always - this time the forest Christmas market. Unfortunately, Email stayed too long again, so the descent took place in the dark. But what's the point if it's bad... Oh right. Food was good, but we had the flamed salmon (16 euros) from the Christmas hut in front. With the (2) bottles we were around 27 euros per person. But prices are OK.

Nice forest hut to stop off after a hike. Lots of space inside and outside, rich and varied offerings. Good sanitary facilities.

Currently temporarily closed until November 12th! But there is a drinks machine if you are thirsty.

Very nice stop on our hike to Drachenfels. The selection of cakes was plentiful, plus a pot of coffee, just perfect.

Managed with commitment, beautifully rustic in the guest rooms, relative. large and modernly equipped in terms of sanitary facilities. You can hike there from many parking lots and train stations, and tours from hut to hut are also possible (Silbertal, Alte Schmelz Logoanlage, Benjental, for example). Luckily, no guest can drive there directly, everyone has to hike/bike, which is good for the atmosphere, hopefully it stays that way.

A simple wine spritzer for 5 euros is usury. Cheapest wine and water from the carbonator. Queuing forever because the organization is chaotic. The currywurst consisted of more water than meat and the sauce was made from ready-made products. Fries are just acceptable. Absolutely overpriced for 13.90. The location is well located and attractive. But the food is subpar. Aldi would be better. Never again.

Great feel-good hut in the Palatinate Forest. The food was very tasty! 😋 The liver dumplings have an excellent taste and a light consistency. The bratwursts were well baked and tasted very good. Crispy, fresh fries. Delicious pork stomach... We are looking forward to coming back 😄👍

Located in the middle of nature, on a hill in the forest. Lots of benches and tables outside. But also plenty inside. Cozy atmosphere.

Delicious again on Fridays and steamed dumplings with potato soup are a poem and meet the highest Palatinate standards. Everything else is also highly recommended.

One of my favorite places in the Palatinate. A great place in the middle of the forest with a great ambience. We've been going there for years. Unfortunately, a woman at the food counter believes she has to keep a strict reign - today my hand was pushed aside. Something like that is disrespectful and simply doesn't work. Questions about long waiting times are also not welcome. Too bad.

Everything was organized really well and the food tasted delicious too 😋 and with all the hustle and bustle it was beautifully presented.

Very cozy PWV forest house with friendly service, delicious food and fair prices. You can also take the Dubbe glass with the Waldhaus Lambertskreuz logo home with you for a €5 deposit. If closed, there is a vending machine outside where you can buy drinks. So you don't have to die of thirst. Playground, lots of benches to sit outside when the weather is nice.

There is nothing to complain about. Very nice hut with good food and great ambience! Children also have the opportunity to keep themselves busy.

After a long hike we stopped at Lambertzkreuz....food is great....there's also a lot to offer.... Unfortunately the staff are really stressed...the friendliness really falls by the wayside

Definitely recommended, even if it can get very, very crowded on Sundays when the weather is good. But the price-performance ratio is very good for a forest hut and despite the large crowds, the waiting times were comparatively short. Anyway, big praise from me!

Very beautiful nature, a place to drive down

In the wonderful sunshine, have a beer 🍺 and sausage salad with fries 🍟 👍 in the beer garden. Strengthened for the tour to Bad Dürkheim.

What the Trifels or Hambacher Schloß is to the castles in the Palatinate, then this applies to the Lambertskreuz to the Palatinate forest huts. You just have to have been there! The beef salad is also worth the long journey. If it is a rest day, an emergency package in the form of a bottled and homemade (canned) machine will comfort the hungry hiker.

Well-known and well-visited Palatinate Forest Association hut. Large amounts of seating around the outside, if you can't find space, look at the back. Self-service was quick and the waiting time was short. A relatively large menu where everyone should find something.

The Palatinate cuisine is convincing across the board, the hut team is very helpful and friendly.

Die wohlverdiente Wanderpause während einer aussichtsreichen Wanderung zum Drachenfelsen war herrlich. Die Getränke - Weizenbier vom Fass, Weinschorlen, alkoholfreie Getränke waren herrlich kühl. Der Chef von Anfang an freundlich, obwohl er mit wenig Personal ab und an in zeitliche Verzögerungen kam. Ein Gast, der dies nicht verstand, zu lange auf das Schnitzel warten musste, drohte ihm mit vernichtender Kritik und lehnte Entschuldigung, Kaffee und Schnaps ab. Unsere Gruppe konnte das nicht nachvollziehen und entrichten dem Chef und seinem Team unser Kompliment für eine gelungene Pause im Waldhaus Lambertskreuz.

The food is rustic, simple but filling. Exactly what you could use after a longer tour. The portions are decent and the prices are more than reasonable. The grape spritzer is freshly prepared with grape juice from the region. Except for the wasps in summer, you can find places here in the sun, or in the shade - or even indoors. The atmosphere is relaxed and hospitable. I can highly recommend the Waldhaus Lambertskreuz.

A beautiful, typical hiking hut, with classic Palatinate food. Friendly and accommodating staff, good value for money. There are indoor and outdoor areas for comfortable seating. The Waldhaus also has overnight accommodations.

As always: friendly staff, quick cuisine, delicious food and perfect Riesling spritzer! A worthwhile goal in any weather and the crowning glory: a bee sting that makes you kneel down.

Rustic mountain hut at a height in the Palatinate Forest. Popular destination for hikers and bikers. Lots of space inside and out. Friendly service. Nice on warm summer days and even in bad weather you can feel warm inside.

As always, very tasty food, the fries should be highlighted (not everyone can do that😉). Order processing was great, the people there are on their toes. Spritzers are mixed well.

Simply cult and also superbly managed! Whether as a hiker or biker, the Lambertskreutz is a must and highlight on every tour. The food is always very good and tasty, the staff is friendly and motivated, and the guests are relaxed. The bee sting is legendary, but a simple soup or currywurst can also be very impressive! Keep it up, we'd love to come to you!

I always enjoy being up here - a great destination from different starting points. Ambience, choice of food, value for money - it all fits very well!

They're doing everything right in the club. I often go into detail - but you don't need to do that here. Quality is good, not very good but price-performance is fair. Gladly again. Lots of things homemade and good portion sizes

Authentic hikers in in the middle of the Forest! Always worth a trip

Very nice cozy restaurant in the middle of the forest. You can get here on foot, by bike or by horse (I also remember a car). It is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in summer time and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in winter time. Food and drinks are absolutely okay in terms of price and taste. We paid €6.50 for a soup and €11 for liver dumplings with sauerkraut. There is a large outdoor area with many different attractions (sofa area, Christmas hut, children's playground)

We were at this forest house on Sunday, April 14, 2024. A very large house and very well organized. There is space for around 300 guests in the outdoor area. We were happy to be guests here with food and drink.

Good price-performance ratio Soup 6.50 euros Friendly staff The chef was extremely in love today and my liver dumpling soup was too salty and the lentil soup from my companion was super sour. The bread tasted excellent. Nice decoration!

On foot or by bike, I enjoy being up here. It was very nice at the forest Christmas, especially when the wimps got off at 3 p.m. 😉 We were up at 3:30 p.m., wonderfully so quiet. You still got everything, the flamed salmon was very tasty, only the waffle batter was gone, so what? I quickly bought a headband above. Then leisurely down at 5:30 p.m. No problem with the right equipment. Who needs the Christmas markets in the city? Addendum from December 3rd, 2023: Unfortunately, the 2 ladies from the crepe/waffle stand aren't that into it, it's a shame. Addendum from April 13, 2024: I always enjoy coming here, especially by bike.

One of the most famous huts in the Palatinate, which is also run by a club. The hut is easily accessible in the Palatinate Forest. You can of course reach the hiking hut on foot, but also by bike or on horseback, because the horse can also be tied up here if you want a cool Palatinate spritzer. There is always a large selection of dishes, including of course traditional Palatinate cuisine. I can highly recommend the hut. Children will also find a great playground here!

Tolle Leistung von allen Mitarbeitern in der Hütte. Leckeres Essen bei angemessenen Preisen.

Zum ersten Mal im Winter zur Hütte gelaufen. Vom Kurpfalzpark den breiten Weg hoch. Ist vielleicht nicht der schönste aber wenn es dunkel wird doch sicher. An einem Mittwoch war die Hütte bei herrlichem Wetter sehr gut besucht. Selbstbedienung ist man in solchen Hütten ja gewöhnt und ging ja auch flott. Die Preise sind höher als in anderen Hütten aber noch passt es. Auch die Sauberkeit ist gegenüber anderen vorbildlich. Ich hatte einen Wurstsalat mit Pommes der sehr lecker war und danach der Kaffee war gut. Man kommt sehr schnell mit anderen Wanderern ins Gespräch. An diesem sonnigen Tag hat alles gepasst.
