Unfortunately I won't be able to go today or tomorrow. Had a pork knuckle that had been reheated at least 3 times, far dry and cooked to death. The sauce was something ready-made, still diluted, from Kn or Ma. The sauerkraut was the pinnacle of retribution. Thickened so much that the consistency was reminiscent of mashed potatoes. The dumplings weren't fully steamed. My girlfriend had Wiener Schnitzel. The breading was so thick that you couldn't taste any of the veal and didn't need a side dish. There was no taste of the salt and pepper seasoning either. My invited guest had salmon spaetzle...It was edible now, but manageable. The second guest didn't have any negative comments about it, but he isn't necessarily known as a foodie either. The Sachertorte was just dry and tasteless. When serving espressos, it helps immensely to preheat the 1cm thick cup, e.g. with warm water (a little tip from the expert), so that it is not already cold when served. You can't help it that the ceiling height is 4 m, but with a room temperature of 18 -20 degrees, you should at least manage not to serve food and hot drinks cold. Tighten up and change something. The level may be enough for the Zwickau soup proletariat, but it has nothing to do with sophisticated food culture. Too bad about the money

Large portions, delicious, no problems with special requests, we will definitely come back again.

My wife and I wanted to visit Joseph’s for a drink and maybe some food. But we were told at the door that we were not welcome because it was supposedly a “pure restaurant”. We found this type of rejection to be extremely rude and customer-unfriendly. A restaurant shouldn't turn away guests just because they just want something to drink - after all, this could result in a longer order. This is not how you treat potential customers. Very disappointing, we will not be returning.

Delicious food, a cool atmosphere, a wonderful beer garden in the summer, a large barn for private parties, and super friendly staff. Go there; if you don't like it, there's no helping you. Reservations are recommended.

Great place to spend those rest days in Karlsruhe!!!

Highly recommended for an intimate, romantic sunset dinner on the lake! The menu is limited but well-prepared and the long drinks were tasty. We had the warmed goat cheese salad for a starter and it was excellent. Service was slow but if the food and your company are good then the last person I want to see is the waitress. :)

Unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant war leider eine herbe Enttäuschung. Der Service war schlichtweg inakzeptabel: unaufmerksam, fehlerhaft und kaum präsent. Getränke wurden falsch aufgenommen und falsch serviert. Den Wein mussten wir uns am Ende selbst einschenken, da sich niemand darum kümmerte, was in einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie nicht passieren sollte. Das Essen war ebenfalls enttäuschend. Das „Wiener Schnitzel“, das in einem österreichischen Restaurant eigentlich eine Spezialität sein sollte, war eine Zumutung. Es war kein Kalbfleisch, wie man es erwarten würde, sondern ein viel zu dickes Schweineschnitzel. Die Panade war weder kross noch ansprechend, und dazu fehlten die auf der Speisekarte versprochenen Beilagen wie Preiselbeeren und Gurkensalat komplett. Für ein Restaurant, das sich als österreichisch ausgibt, ist das ein absolutes No-Go. Zusätzlich war die Organisation im gesamten Restaurant chaotisch. Es kam niemand, der unsere leeren Teller abräumte, sodass wir diese schließlich selbst auf einen anderen Tisch stellen mussten. Nach über zwei Stunden hatten unsere Sitznachbarn ihr Essen immer noch nicht erhalten und entschieden sich schließlich, enttäuscht zu gehen – was absolut verständlich ist. Alles in allem war dies unser erster und definitiv letzter Besuch. Dieses Restaurant können wir niemandem empfehlen.

We had a very nice dinner at the Osterelli. Menu is proposing a lot of vegetarian dishes. But still it is all some particular typical dishes so it is very mastered by the cooker. (Diversity but not too much) There is no kids menu but something special was arranged for our daughter and she ate everything with much pleasure Service was very good and friendly. Waiter and waitress were fantastic. A must go with no hesitation !
