Overall, the food was very good and homemade. The potato and cucumber salad, and the yeast dumpling with vanilla sauce, were truly delicious. Only the portion sizes could be a bit more generous. A small bowl of potato and cucumber salad to accompany the very thinly sliced ​​celery schnitzel, which was practically tasteless and mostly breaded, was somewhat disappointing. I wasn't satisfied.

Our Christmas party here at Österelli was very pleasant, with a great atmosphere and delicious food. They even played Christmas music especially for us. The large portion of Kaiserschmarrn was also very filling.

My idea of ​​the restaurant bore little resemblance to reality. At first, I was surprised to find it very cramped and correspondingly noisy. From the outside, the building appears very large, but the restaurant is tucked away in the back courtyard; perhaps it's more relaxing to sit outside during the warmer months. The interior, however, is quite nice. The service was rather unfriendly and inattentive; they brought the wrong drink, etc. The food was delicious and high quality, but the portions (except for dessert) were too small and disproportionate to the exorbitant price. Perhaps it was a bad day; I can't relate to all the extremely good reviews I'd relied on.

The service was very friendly and the ambiance was nice. Unfortunately, the food isn't for people who know the original (from Austria/Bavaria) 🙈 The beef soup is just a salty brown something, the cheese spaetzle was unfortunately bitter and burnt (the waitress apologized for this). The Kaiserschmarrn shouldn't even be called that 🙈 It was a pancake with caramel or something like that on top. Apparently it wasn't made with beaten egg whites. The Wiener schnitzel was good, though. When you walk in, everything looks fancy, but many of the plates are chipped, and the cloth napkins are so stiff that you can't wipe anything with them. The prices are far too high for this quality. What a shame.

I/we cannot explain how this review came about. We had reserved a cozy spot for four people by phone, and that's what we got. I don't want to judge whether this chandelier is appropriate for a Viennese restaurant. When ordering, I was asked if we had been there before, which I truthfully answered with a no. My wife found a wet towel in the restroom that she didn't want to dry. We ordered drinks, which arrived quickly; they were all bottles! We had to get our food ourselves. Then our ordered food arrived. No. 1 Wiener Schnitzel €29 No. 2 Dumpling Trio €21 No. 3 Handmade beetroot dumplings with a note about Parmesan salad €19 No. 4 Caramelized Kaiserschmarrn €13. The presentation was reasonably good. No. 3 was missing Parmesan cheese. We asked the waitress about it, but she came back with an explanation, but no Parmesan!!! For number 1, they asked for cranberries, and my grandson answered YES because that's the only way he knows it. A total of €99, we paid €105. The bill was a real accolade for Austrian cuisine. Because we had to forgo the Parmesan, we were charged €2 for two spoonfuls of cranberries without any warning. Number 4 had been prepared for a while and was simply caramelized in a pan. Here's a recommendation for the chef: the Wochenbrucher Alm across from Elmau = Kaiserschmarn!!! We also had to pay a €7.50 parking fee, meaning €15.50 too much. Mind you, this is our opinion, as we only visit Austria once a year. We served ourselves and were helpful with picking up and dropping off food. Conclusion: Never again!

The cucumber and potato salad was delicious, and the cordon bleu with its crispy breading was a dream. The icing on the cake – the incomparable Kaiserschmarrn. The price is certainly on the high side, but it's absolutely worth every penny. Highly recommended. Reservations are also recommended.

The potato salad consisted of a maximum of one potato and four slices of cucumber, served with a schnitzel that only looks large at first glance. Beneath the really good breading is a very, very thin piece of meat, weighing no more than 100g. At €29 for a schnitzel, I want to be full. Drink prices are also very high. So, tasty, yes, but filling, no.

Unfortunately, the superficial and arrogant service dominated the visit. It was incomprehensible on a Sunday afternoon with only six guests. It took forever for the drinks to even arrive, and they were wrong, no apologies. The schnitzel and salad were okay, but nothing special. The breading and meat were in the wrong proportions. The meat had no chance to remain tender. No one asked if the food was tasty or if we wanted anything else. When they then swept next to the table, leaving dirt and brooms lying around, we cut short the visit. Thanks, however, to the young woman who cleared the table; she had a kind manner and a smile for us. We've experienced something similar here before; a second chance was unnecessary!

The food is typically Austrian, we tried Spetzle, Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarn and they were all excellent. The service was perhaps a bit slower, but very nice and pleasant. The food was great, and so was the service! We came spontaneously and unfortunately didn't make a reservation. We still got a table (2 people). We went inside for dessert because there were a lot of bees and wasps outside (the restaurant can't do anything about that, of course). All in all, a lovely restaurant.

Food – ★★★★☆ The food was largely very good. The starter salad and the Wiener schnitzel were particularly impressive. The truffle cordon bleu was unfortunately a bit too dry, and the Kaiserschmarrn tasted slightly burnt – a shame, as otherwise it has a lot of potential. Service – ★★☆☆☆ The service unfortunately wasn't up to scratch. Although we were the only guests at first, the welcome was rather cool. The expensive wine (€45) wasn't refilled, there was no welcome from the kitchen, and there was no small extra to finish the meal. There was a technical problem with the debit card machine when paying – nothing dramatic, but the handling was unnecessarily unfriendly. For this price level, I would have appreciated significantly more customer service.

The spinach dumplings were delicious as an appetizer, but then: After an hour of waiting and intervention, the Wiener Schnitzel finally arrived, and everything could have been fine. But it wasn't: tiny potato and cucumber salad, a small schnitzel. The breading had nothing to do with Wiener Schnitzel. The chef here doesn't know his craft, and neither does the service. A frustrating evening!

Anyone unfamiliar with it and its location will be surprised by its location. It's practically nestled in a backyard and is accessible via a driveway. It's opposite Potsdam City Hall and offers Austrian cuisine—what's the surprise, given the name? The menu is modest and not inexpensive. When the weather's nice, the outdoor lighting is often used. In my opinion, it doesn't exude any Austrian charm, and we also missed the Austrian pain.

Beautiful ambiance, both inside and out! If you want to spend a pleasant time in style and surrounded by historic charm, this is the place for you. The waitress was extremely friendly. The Beelitz asparagus was perfectly prepared, al dente, and the ingredients (sauce and potato) were extremely fine and tasty. Unfortunately, this main course only came with three potato quarters (not even a medium-sized potato!), so the plate was very limited and you couldn't fill yourself up! When I order asparagus with potatoes, I expect a larger portion. I told the friendly waitress this, but her reaction was more of a shrug—there was nothing she could do about it... I hope there is a better complaint management system! Since the dishes are on the higher end of the price range, you want to at least leave the restaurant feeling full after a main course.

Simply world-class, I'm truly impressed!!! As a native of Potsdam, I didn't even know this restaurant until recently, as it's slightly hidden in an incredibly beautiful courtyard. As a regular guest at Austrian restaurants, I know the quality and culinary delights that this country offers. My expectations were probably a bit too high... A shame for such a lovely restaurant. I ate a veal schnitzel with a salad and Kaiserschmarrn... with wine and water. Despite the delicious breading, the schnitzel unfortunately lacked any schnitzel at all and was hollow... oh my gosh, where is it?! The taste was good, but disappointing; for €30, I had expected a bit more. The Kaiserschmarrn was OK...at least it wasn't a ready-made pastry like most places. It's just a shame that it wasn't fully baked and sat on the shell like a lump of honey... The caramelized sweetness overpowered the flavor... but as I said, it was okay... I've had much better... in Austria. All in all, it was still nice... It's definitely worth a visit to enjoy the atmosphere with a glass of wine...

We were a large group of 11 people and made reservations in advance. So we had a big table upstairs just for us, really great. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, you immediately feel at home here. The employees were all super nice and especially our waiter was cool, funny, very accommodating and personable. The food was really delicious and came surprisingly quickly, despite the 11 people at our table. The price-performance ratio is really great when you take into account the great service and the beautiful ambience. They even spontaneously made 5 goose legs with red cabbage for us, which were actually no longer on the menu. For the dessert, especially the caramelized Kaiserschmarrn, there is even a note on the menu about the preparation time so that you can order it in good time, which I thought was really good. Of course, the dessert was also very tasty, even if the Kaiserschmarrn could be even more caramelized next time. All in all we had a really great evening and will definitely be back. Card payment is possible here without any problems.

Unfortunately we were only provided with drinks for over an hour. The food just wasn't finished. In addition, the guests around us were getting their food, while with us it was just: "I've been complaining in the kitchen because it's taking so long." We didn't even have any special requests and there were four of us. After an hour and a half we left. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend the restaurant at all. Given the prices, you can expect to be served. In addition, it seemed like glasses were constantly falling at the bar, which really disturbed the atmosphere. What a shame!

Worst restaurant!!! Danger! Danger! Danger! We waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food. All the other tables around us were served food. We left early and still had to pay for all our drinks. Bad service. There was no apology. The waitress stood outside and talked. Something kept falling down in the kitchen. Bad experience!

The offer was to get a new one... sorry, but it was really cold by now and the dessert took 25 minutes (which wouldn't have been bad if it was finished), well as compensation there was a schnapps on the house... I really like Austrian cuisine but we were all very disappointed with this visit. Too bad!

We had a very nice dinner at the Osterelli. Menu is proposing a lot of vegetarian dishes. But still it is all some particular typical dishes so it is very mastered by the cooker. (Diversity but not too much) There is no kids menu but something special was arranged for our daughter and she ate everything with much pleasure Service was very good and friendly. Waiter and waitress were fantastic. A must go with no hesitation !

There are 7 days a week, one day is closed (Tuesday), which means: I could go there 6 times a week. Despite the wheelchair, no problems whatsoever. It was our first time there BUT CERTAINLY NOT the last time.

We had booked a table in advance. We were welcomed very nicely, we were shown a table next to a room with taped-off painter's foil and a loud, annoying fan. Not possible in this price segment. The wines were very good and tasted excellent. I had chestnut soup as a starter which tasted really good, but the consistency was very thick and mushy. Way too heavy on cream... For the main course I had the Krenschnitzel with potato/cucumber salad. The breading was tasty but the schnitzel was very tough and dry unfortunately. The salad was delicious.👍🏻 The absolute highlight was really the dessert, a super delicious Kaiserschmarrn with nothing but really nothing wrong with it. Highly recommended. In this price segment you can expect more in terms of cuisine. Wouldn't go there again for the time being. Maybe something will change over time. The location is already mega.

We were there for an event, so I can't tell about how they are during usuall restaurant opening hours, but what I experienced was great. Very friendly and outgoing staff, good drinks and tasty food. The Schnitzel, the Kasspatzn, the Kaiserschmarn, everything was delicious, and I will definitely come back to see how it is during normal opening hours.

Expensive, cramped, you wait forever for cards and orders, food seems like convenience, but clothes still smell like it days later because the kitchen apparently doesn't have a deduction. If you want authentic and good Austrian cuisine, Halali in Wannsee is highly recommended.

Lovely place but the side potato and cucumber salad is always too sour… I generally love sour food but I invite the chefs to take some inspiration from Figlmüller’s side salad. Also the knödel were a little bit sour too - besides that, best Austrian place in Berlin & Potsdam hands down. Service and interior are wonderful, the younger servers are much nicer than the older ones we’ve had. A sense of superiority from the latter at time which is unnecessary.

In fact, one of our new discoveries is that if we had been able to find a place at the other restaurant and make a reservation, we would have missed the opportunity to meet these wonderful tastes and the talented team that provides great service. We spontaneously visited the Österelli in the evening, were warmly welcomed and were able to sit upstairs in the left room without a reservation. So far so good, but it was extremely cold and my wife was freezing, but the heating was supposedly running at full speed - "more people" were supposed to heat up the room soon?! Without quiet background music, you could also hear all the other conversations in the room, well...The wine prices per glass or bottle were pretty steep, so there was good Trumer Pils and ginger ale. As a starter there was chestnut soup (tasty but more like porridge than soup, unfortunately too much cream so it was greasy) and the dumpling duet, the dumplings were really tasty (spinach is recommended and if you like beetroot). The main course was once again dumplings (this time only spinach) with mixed salad (a little getting used to, little dressing therefore dry) and Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad (quite passable, not outstanding). The Wiener Schnitzel (with veal, there is no such thing as Viennese style) was wafer-thin (maybe 100g on the plate?) and very tough, plus there was a lot of overly salted breading. You could hardly cut the schnitzel with a knife, a steak knife would have been better... the plates were also being cut with a crunch at the table next door. Instead of cranberries, I ordered mayo, which cost extra...even though there was only one tablespoon on the bowl? For a total of 30 euros, a rather poor price-performance ratio. Good or bad that there is no onion roast on the menu, as the disappointment might have been even greater? Unfortunately there were no delicious Käsekrainer on the menu because “they weren’t profitable here at this location”. Unfortunately, we can easily believe that...the service was very good and the food was served quickly, the toilets were clean. Overall we give 3 stars (3.5 to be more precise), for the spinach dumplings and possibly other dishes worth visiting (Hendl?) if you sit on the ground floor, otherwise rather average in our opinion.

Sunday afternoon: Restaurant was not very busy. The waiter assigned us a small table for two, we sat down at a larger table that was not set and was more comfortable for us. It didn't suit him and he said we had to get up if a larger group came! Oh well. But it didn't come. The schnitzel was good, but it was dripping with fat. The cook probably didn't drain it. Taste was very good. The potato salad was the leftover from the pot. Not even a potato and a little cucumber salad. Lots of broth for that. We didn't see the waiter again but it was a very friendly waitress. This was our second visit. It will be a while before we go back. But we'll give the Österelli another chance.

Super nice restaurant. The food was extremely tasty and we had super nice and attentive service.

It was an all-round pleasant evening with very good food and good wine 🍷. I would recommend making a reservation as space is limited and it was very busy when we visited. Unfortunately, parking at the restaurant is not possible and there is also very limited parking in the surrounding area. Otherwise, I can highly recommend the restaurant.

The people are super nice, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food was tasty too. You can't ask for more than you get here.

World of Pizza bietet wirklich leckere Pizza und Burger, die sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Die Lieferung war zudem schnell, was das Essen noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, das ich definitiv weiterempfehlen kann! Telefonisch bestellen war ein bisschen problematisch, aber es hat sich definitiv gelohnt! 🍕🍔📞
